0:36 to say it's a tongue but lookas at these

0:39 hallways you're actually exiting the

0:42 current day here in Florida and you're

0:45 entering the past the history the

0:49 beginnings of

0:55 Florida it's my second channel daily

1:38 you're a fan of theme parks roadside

1:40 attractions and wonderful roadside

1:42 goodness here in Central Florida if you

1:45 ever been to Disney Universal from now

1:48 back to the early' 70s and before I'm

1:51 going to show you some wonderful things

1:53 that a lot of people do not realize

1:55 exist in this awesome four story old

1:59 original courthouse in Orlando Florida

2:03 we're starting on the fourth floor and

2:06 you can actually see they have these

2:08 really awesome displays of what Florida

2:11 looked like before people started

2:13 putting up concrete jungles and

2:16 buildings theme parks and other things

2:19 whoa there's a

2:21 frog and the snowy igd I want to say

2:25 hello to you hello I miss no eget

2:30 hello look at me I'm a manate it's so

2:35 good to be here today you're right is

2:38 that what a manate sound like yes we

2:40 have to keep it down there are other

2:42 people in here we do not want to disturb

2:44 other people that are learning about

2:46 history you guys are learning about

2:59 place is awesome and I'm not going to

3:03 knew this place actually existed so if

3:06 you're in Orlando if you're near the

3:08 theme parks in CMI Orlando area come to

3:11 downtown find this place it's The Old

3:14 Courthouse right across from the library

3:17 it is awesome I kind of roamed around a

3:20 little bit and I figured I really need

3:22 to do a vlog here because this place is

3:25 awesome these fake trees that look so

3:27 real they inform you

3:30 how a sinkhole is

3:32 created and here's a little area of the

3:36 sinkhole and it shows what a sinkhole

3:39 does here's the sinkhole here's the

3:42 foundations of the

3:44 hole a sinkhole will gobble up cars

3:48 speed limit signs other cars look at

3:52 this somebody was living in there

3:55 there's a swimming pool up

3:57 there this isic specifically the one

4:00 that's in mlin it's the famous one you

4:03 okay you having a seizure yes it'll be

4:06 okay this is the matland one yeah this

4:08 the maand one if you go out to maand

4:10 it's behind a place called Austin it's a

4:12 public park now they've even focused on

4:14 the Travel Channel they you actually

4:16 come and see us I could I could I could

4:19 taste the fear in your dialogue right

4:22 there so terrifying about have you ever

4:26 at this it's like a fist it's either

4:28 like a it's a fist of dirt and mud it's

13:32 hole in that is they actually have a

13:34 display because they used to fill the

13:36 beds with Spanish moss and there's one

13:39 other fun fact that you were telling me

13:41 earlier about Spanish moss correct yeah

13:44 that's that's true this is what they

13:45 used to line in the bed it comes from

13:47 trees and the trees there's things in it

13:49 so when you say good night sleep tight

13:51 don't let the bed bugs bite when you're

13:54 sleeping in your Spanish Mountain's bed

13:56 and you start itching it's because

13:57 there's triggers in the

14:00 that's very interesting this is actually

14:02 really comfortable I'm G to go get my

14:03 own Spanish actually I think the Spanish

14:05 moss ends right here then there's

14:07 actually like a mattress here because it

14:09 I think it ends somewhere around here

14:11 but it's really com you can actually

14:12 feel what Spanish moss would feel like

14:15 to lay on and speaking of other bugs not

14:17 only inside but you also get mosquitoes

14:20 that's why there's a mosquito net here

14:23 so you would actually get on get inside

14:25 get inside the mosquito get inside the

14:27 mosquito net the last thing I want you

14:29 doing is getting some sort of malaria or

14:32 something from a mosquito inside a

14:34 building there you go just stay there

14:36 for the rest of the Vlog don't don't

14:42 actually you can come along whenever you

14:43 want so that was very interesting good

16:21 these Vlogs and what else is a good

16:23 addition to these Vlogs the Citrus

16:26 industry in Florida is known for its

16:28 Citrus industry especially back in the

16:31 day it was one of the very major

16:34 components that put

16:36 together a lot of Florida a lot of the

16:39 big wigs in Florida back in the day were

16:41 Citrus industry guys as depicted as

16:45 their workers climbing up to get the

16:47 oranges off the orange trees here would

16:49 be the bags Allen

16:58 bag oh there you are

16:59 I met some guy that looked very similar

17:01 to you in fact I called him Scott so

17:03 basically the joke is not going to go

17:05 anywhere basically there's a guy that

17:06 looks similar to maybe your twin brother

17:07 wear cow over there well it wasn't

17:10 didn't look like a cow it kind of looked

17:12 like a like a oh so you saw him too yeah

17:14 he was I or it was you it was probably

17:16 me I didn't see myself in I'm talking to

17:18 them now about the Citrus industry oh

17:21 yeah and the most fascinating thing

17:23 about the CIT Citrus industry history

17:26 were these Citrus carts that actually

17:27 had

17:29 televisions inside of them was very so

17:31 when you're picking the orange trees on

17:34 your lunch break you could watch The

17:37 Andy Griffith Show Bonanza ban what were

17:40 some other fantastic gunm smoke gun

17:42 smoke in Little House on the Prairie

17:45 course all of those were good and and

17:47 then color TV came along in a very

17:50 citrusy color cuz that's actually got a

17:52 little Citrus tone to keep up with the

17:56 Citrus

17:57 goodness so basically we're going to

17:59 leave this floor we we've basically seen

18:02 whoa there's another guy climbing here

18:05 climbing here picking

18:13 orange so we're going to leave one area

18:13 of the past that was over there the old

18:16 school pre people era of Florida and

18:20 then we have the original pioneers of

18:23 the Sunshine State in here and now we're

18:26 going to go downstairs

18:29 to the third floor my favorite

18:39 floor beautiful day outside another

18:39 interesting fact they actually call this

18:41 the grand staircase just like in Titanic

18:44 it'd be really awesome not only if Le AR

18:46 DiCaprio was here but if Kate Winslet

18:48 was here right now that would just make

18:50 this Vlog insanely she just walk the

18:53 stairs right

19:10 go okay so now here's a quick little

19:10 segue that has nothing to do with

19:11 Florida history as far as theme park

19:13 history but this is very interesting on

19:15 the third floor is the original

19:18 courthouse and this is the original

19:21 nonworking Courthouse clock it's been

19:24 stuck at 12:05 the entire hour we been

19:28 in here in fact when we go inside the

19:30 courtroom and come back out after a

19:32 minute or two you will notice that it's

19:34 not going to have been moved from 12:05

19:36 it's stuck at 12:05 and this looks very

19:40 similar to The Clock Tower from part

19:43 three when Doc Brown and Marty are in

19:46 front of there and zezy top is

19:54 there yes very similar to that that

19:54 clock tower did not work cuz it was

19:56 struck by light well it was starting in

19:58 the in the third movie they were just

19:59 getting ready to that's right you're

20:01 correct see I'm very flabbergasted and

20:03 confused there's a lock but that clock

20:05 is not working yeah just like the one in

20:07 the first movie Struck by Lightning who

20:11 okay it's time to go inside the

20:14 public

20:16 entrance this is the original Orlando

20:20 Florida courthouse prepare yourself for

20:33 magic more legal matters and like you

20:37 know married has your life ever

20:39 changed and then you look back to that

20:41 moment you say that was magical whether

20:43 it was good or bad people's lives

20:48 magical it could be a very bad kind of

21:32 that's right cuz you're the only one

21:33 there the witness would be sitting here

21:36 the judge would be sitting there and

21:39 there is one person Scott whose life

21:42 changed

21:44 dramatically and he actually signed his

21:46 name right over here this is going to

21:49 blow

21:51 your your mind my mind and my mind ma'am

21:56 children you might not children might

21:57 know who this is but ma'am and children

21:59 and adults prepare yourself now for a

22:04 signature of the one and

22:07 only Ted

22:21 Bundy Ted Bundy scratched his name right

22:21 there he would have been sitting right

22:23 here in this chair you think they've

22:25 switched the chairs around or is this

22:26 the exact could I be sitting in chair

22:33 have sat right here staring at the judge

23:55 favorite area courthouse is awesome the

23:58 little momento carved in by a serial

24:00 killer over there is pretty fantastic a

24:03 good-looking guy apparently I mean

24:05 that's that's kind of we this staircase

24:07 is awesome this clock which has not

24:09 moved from 12:05 see I'm not kidding it

24:13 is not 12:05 this is stuck at 12:05

24:17 we're now going to go into an area

24:19 called building a

24:22 kingdom does anybody have any idea what

24:25 building a kingdom could refer to think

24:28 about it central Florida tourism

24:31 building a kingdom I'm talking about

24:34 Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom in

24:39 1971 everything changed in Central

24:43 Florida before that there were some

24:44 roadside attractions but everything blew

24:46 up into the stratosphere people flocked

24:48 down here Orlando grew out of

24:51 proportions and it all started 1971

24:54 October 1st with Magic Kingdom but first

24:58 let's take a look at some of the old

25:00 tourism before Disney Destination

25:16 Florida so if you're ever a fan of

25:16 Florida tourism this is the room for you

25:19 because there is all it's a Mecca of

25:21 goodness when it comes to Old awesome

25:24 roadside attractions all kind of videos

25:28 all kind of weird

25:30 souvenirs plates with

25:34 a oldy railroad or not jump up on there

25:38 jump up on there where you going to go

25:40 where you going to go where looks like

25:41 I'm going to go down this dirt road this

25:44 is what it would probably look like if

25:46 were there let give me this oh I got it

25:49 it would just be

25:56 like it would look something like this

25:56 you going down the road

25:58 couldn't stop because they say that

26:00 these roads were paved well and you only

26:02 got one pair of tires maybe one on your

26:04 back well there's me what did I end up

26:07 doing on this dirt road how did I get

26:08 here on this dirt road crazy guy get out

26:12 of here get out way I got grab my

26:15 oranges to the orange factory and orange

26:18 the orange oranges were the big touristy

26:21 draw before theme parks and roadside

26:23 attractions came in and after that

26:25 industry started to subside we started

26:28 to get a lot of Tourism as far as places

26:30 like this Cypress Gardens these are

26:33 actually Cypress Garden

26:35 skis Cypress Gardens is closed it's

26:38 actually legol land now but there was a

26:40 time when Cypress Gardens was a very

26:44 popular tourist attraction in fact I've

26:46 been there I did a video there one of my

26:48 first videos I tried getting in there

26:49 before it became Legoland a lot of these

26:52 places I've actually been to former

26:55 roadside attractions that are all

26:57 visited right in here look at these old

27:00 postcards up here she's looking like

27:03 she's having a good time look how

27:05 wouldn't you want to come to Florida

27:07 seeing that face hey how you doing all

27:09 that coloring man what are we doing up

27:12 in North North Dakota picture it's pre

27:15 Instagram they definitely know filters

27:42 Bok Tower there are a lot of wonderful

27:45 places that I've been to check out this

27:47 place tourist Recreation City I'm

27:51 not familiar with that one I got to do

27:52 some research about that particular

27:55 place they have some awesome trees

27:57 theyve actually built we're actually

27:59 inside a building there's trees they've

28:02 created this place is very magical but

28:06 on the other side of this room is the oh

28:09 let me show you this should we show them

28:11 this first show them this this is

28:14 actually a really awesome model of

28:17 Central Florida look at this right here

28:20 old school Walt Disney World there's the

28:24 castle there's the old MGM mousey

28:28 Orlando International Airport there's

28:30 Gator Land I'm going to be quiet for a

28:33 minute and just let you soak in this

28:35 environment a little moment of

28:38 quietness Old School Orlando

29:02 should light up some of the stuff sure I

29:04 can do that what are you going to light

29:07 uh tour I'll show you all the tourist
