0:52 Illinois but the exterior shots of her

0:56 stretch of road here in Evansville

0:59 Indiana the producer of the very first

1:04 filmed two of the location the Lobo bar

1:06 which is a couple miles away and then

1:08 this particular house right here they

1:10 chose for all nine Seasons to reside the

1:14 family in the layout of the house is

1:16 actually a lot different inside than

1:18 what you would think it is the Interiors

1:20 were of course all in a sound stage but

1:22 the exteriors for all nine Seasons 1988

1:26 1997 were all right inside here another

1:29 thing is really cool right where you're

1:31 standing in the first season the very

1:34 first episode the first shot you see of

1:36 the house actually the shot is from

1:39 right here so the camera angle basically

5:58 reason the show was so successful it was

6:00 the very first show that broke away from

6:02 the mold and actually had a blue collar

6:04 workingclass female as the lead

6:07 character all the other shows that were

6:09 produced by the the same people that

6:11 produced The Cosby Show and all those

6:14 type of shows figured they would venture

6:16 off into a different realm of Comedy a

6:19 different realm of shows they saw

6:21 Roseanne on the tonight's show and they

6:23 said let's pick her let's choose her to

6:25 be this character and the show ended up

6:27 taking off becoming very massive in fact

6:30 it was always in the top 20 for all nine

6:32 season and that one season was actually

6:35 number one number one show and we're

6:37 right here we're right here we're right

6:39 here no number no no we're not number

6:42 one the show now Roseanne was probably

6:45 saying we are number one followed by her

6:48 laugh exactly that would have been

6:50 exactly what she would have done I
