0:34 Boulevard
0:50 is a classic establishment one that I
0:50 have wanted to visit for quite a while
0:52 highly recommended by many folks
0:57 it's finally happening the best pastrami
1:01 sandwich in the world
1:10 I love that old neon got its name
1:10 because of the chef's hat it's up there
1:13 on the classic signage looks as if
1:18 currently cannot sit in the dining area
1:22 there is no indoor section it's all it's
1:26 all in the exterior open air well I'll
1:32 tape that stated here just good food not
1:37 only the pastrami dip which is what they
1:39 are known for but also have hot dogs and
1:41 burgers as well this is the original the
1:46 very first they do have other locations
1:48 but this is the one that started it all

2:25 that's possible to find a park nearby

3:03 I'm gonna get one I'm gonna get I'm
3:04 gonna get myself an orange bang and the
3:08 classic pastrami dip don't mind if I do

3:35 it didn't take you long to get my food
3:35 how long at all maybe a minute or two if
3:39 that maybe take 45 45 seconds is quick I
3:44 think I didn't count it down it have a
3:45 timer offer very fast service granted
3:51 there's not a lot of people here but
3:52 very very equipment didn't have to be
3:54 patient at all they just brought it
3:56 right out prepared it service with a
3:59 smile and quickly intersection is rather
4:02 busy two thoroughfares with a lot of
4:07 traffic a listing of some of the other
4:09 spots that they have they branched off
4:13 on the cup here the decent sized decent
4:17 sized portion and I didn't get any other
4:20 I didn't get any fries or anything I
4:21 just got the sandwich itself which is
4:24 right inside there and as stated not
4:27 going to be able to sit here and eat
4:29 let's go find somewhere also should
4:32 point out there is 30-minute parking so
4:35 if you drive you will have a place to
4:37 find a spot for 30 minutes while you
4:40 while you order and
4:42 are you eat nice perspective of the
4:48 mountain up there
4:57 just down the ways a bit huh madam like
4:57 I was saying just about a mile is
4:58 al-mansur Park and there's plenty of
5:02 spots for my vehicle time to eat
5:06 got a sweet little setup here in the
5:09 back of my trunk ahead the like a
5:13 rocking chair it's a you said have these
5:15 when I had my RV store I had two of them
5:16 so now I carry them around in my car and
5:20 can use it whatever cuz it's called
5:23 picnic tables out here but they're
5:24 filled up was quite a few people out
5:25 here and the picnic tables are accounted
5:27 for so at least I have a seat nice view
5:30 of a baseball field got my spot did not
5:36 include any plastic cutlery but not
5:39 gonna need it cuz the sandwich I did put
5:42 in a straw a few napkins and the total
5:46 was fifteen dollars and twenty cents
5:49 just the basics shifted where I was
5:57 sitting just a bit I was about five or
5:59 ten yards that way but of a lawn care
6:03 maintenance guy has backed his truck up
6:05 behind where I was so the view by be

6:15 also also say that there are picnic
6:18 tables I was stating how all the picnic
6:20 tables were filled up there are two over
6:23 there that are not filled up but they're

6:27 nice little shade tree area
6:40 that is good that is so good I kind of
6:40 kind of regret not hearing about this
6:43 particular drink before before I've
6:47 gotten to my current age because this is
6:50 good some compare it to other
6:53 establishments which I have had but it
6:57 seems like it has its own - orange Bank
6:58 has its own taste I like it a lot and
7:02 I'm glad that I'm glad that it filled
7:05 this cup up nicely and this is what
7:08 weird eat it up side down
7:10 this is what that's upside down - what's
7:13 that this is what weird deal is very
7:18 it's got some weight to it there's a lot
7:20 going on inside this wrapping the Hat
7:27 since 1951 world famous pastrami but
7:32 don't forget about the burgers the dogs
7:34 and the chili which I am NOT gonna be
7:38 trying at this moment maybe another time
7:41 but I had to go with what they are noted
7:45 for yeah that's heavy that's a lot
7:49 there's a lot to this the unwrapping has
7:51 begun okay there's one wrap there's just
7:55 one wrap here okay flip this over
8:00 okay wind is blowing just a little bit
8:03 well we got a little sample got a little

8:10 that first oh my gosh that's good it's
8:18 peaking out there just a little bit
8:21 unpeeling Oh what in the head look at

8:31 smells so dang good that's a meal and
8:39 they didn't cut it
8:40 I should I ask them to cut it so I could
8:42 have saved a little bit for later Wow
8:45 yeah I would have slice it in half that
8:50 might have been that I kind of pulled it
8:52 apart a little bit and they did they did
8:55 slice it down the middle even but I did
8:59 not get I did not get any fries or chips
9:01 I don't even know if they serve chess
9:03 but I didn't get anything other than a
9:04 sandwich so maybe I could polish off
9:06 this all in one is falling apart I
9:11 should get to Eden
9:11 this is most likely going to be messy
9:13 because I don't have a tray table it's
9:17 gonna be messy it's gonna this kind of
9:19 hobby fall all over my torso but
9:32 hmmm mustard pickles the appropriate
9:32 amount I like both mustard and pickles
9:34 and they are very prevalent in the
9:36 flavor of this it's more or less like
9:38 the perfect amount of the perfect amount
9:43 of I'm just like I'm drawing a blank the
9:46 taste is so good but you got all the
9:49 pastrami sandwich falling out of the
9:51 bread then you also got pickles and
9:56 mustard down in there okay it is it is a
9:59 real mess but it's so dang tasty dog

10:41 I can see why this place just talked
10:41 about and has lasted as long as it hath
10:54 only my straw sleeve down in the bottom
10:54 there yeah for future reference ask for
11:00 a fork or a spoon or you know that's a
11:04 fork could make more sense scoop it up a
11:06 little bit better you know is eating
11:08 with your fingers that gives a chance to
11:10 really see its ingredients however this
11:12 is a conglomeration of a flavor Wow this
11:19 is the other half I haven't I haven't
11:22 put in my belly yeah so underneath all
11:25 that is that mustard will see the mush I
11:28 guess it's kind of blended in now but
11:30 underneath they would be pickles oh here
11:32 we go right there you can see kind of
11:35 protruding out as a pickle if you like
11:37 mustard and if you like pickles if that
11:40 is not your forte and this might not be
11:42 for you of course you could ask for it
11:44 without but I for me it's like just a
11:47 perfect combination of everything
11:50 between two pieces of bread so much
11:52 going on in fact that it is it's it's
11:57 wrapped up in not one not two but three
12:03 maybe even four look at that four four
12:07 pieces of paper to keep it keep it
12:11 secure of course want this unwrapped
12:13 you're on your own I could probably
12:15 finish off the rest of this in one
12:18 sitting but I'm gonna attempt to wrap
12:21 this thing back up and have this for a
12:24 little whoop it's starting to oh gosh
12:28 we're ethical but better all back nice
12:31 and neat and it's paper bag style lunch
12:36 sixty-five years
12:38 well back in 2016 it celebrated 65 years
12:41 open in 1951 so I got some leftovers
12:53 from doing these the series of you know
12:53 kind of makeshift food reviews I am NOT
12:54 a food reviewer by any means but I do
12:57 like to eat and I like history of places
13:00 iconic notable spots so I'm kind of
13:03 mixing the two up but I don't want to
13:05 overdo it so I'm gonna taper back a
13:07 little bit on the portions so that's why
13:10 I did not get fries or any dessert just
13:13 the classic sandwich that everyone knows
13:16 and loves from the Hat I only had half
13:21 of it I had even considered maybe
13:23 getting a water you know instead of a
13:26 soda I probably start cutting back
13:27 cutting back on soda for a long time I
13:31 didn't drink so that but it's you know
13:32 when you're out and about especially
13:35 when you're eating out it's very
13:36 tempting to just get a cola a pop
13:39 depending on what area of the country
13:41 you're from and how you refer to it so
13:43 I'm thinking as this continues if this
13:46 series continues for unbeknownst amount
13:49 of days I might start getting something
13:51 that's a little less Cola driven but I
13:55 could not pass up on this this might
13:59 technically probably be worse than Cola
14:03 but you can't get this everywhere
14:11 but I do like the way this series is
14:11 going starting to learn my way around
14:13 the Greater Los Angeles in Orange County
14:16 area better than I ever had because
14:18 everything's so spread out oh what's
14:22 this
14:23 what is up in there I see you a little
14:26 bug wanted Sasha wrap this up a little
14:29 better so it's a good trade-off to
14:32 continue this but you know not gorge
14:34 myself
14:35 each and every day I think it'll work
14:38 and who knows maybe even some extreme
14:42 healthy options and places that serve
14:45 those type of items don't don't make any
14:53 promises but you never know I never know
14:55 how things are progressing you have a
14:58 little more perspective where I was
15:01 having a little camping momentary
15:05 camping spot right here next to these
15:08 fields under the beautiful shroud of
15:12 shadiness whoa is that a-- okay first I
15:19 thought that was like a wasp nest but I
15:22 think
15:31 finessed some sort or is it just piece
15:31 of the limb that used to be there tough
15:36 to tell see anything buzzing around it
15:41 transporting the chair back to my car
15:45 this parks hours are from 5:00 a.m. to
15:47 10:30 p.m. each and every day thank you
