Welcome everyone. Adam Woo here. As the
0:04
recording of this, it is Sunday, June
0:08
1st,
0:10
2025, also known as the first official
0:13
day of Florida's, which is the state I
0:16
reside in. Hurricane season kicks off
0:20
today. Now, there's not a hurricane
0:23
looming over off the coast, but this is
0:26
the first day when myself and other
0:29
Florida
0:30
residents have to start preparing and
0:33
getting ready for said storms, tropical
0:37
depressions,
0:38
hurricanes, tropical
0:41
storms, windy tornadoes
0:44
that come to fruition out of
0:47
those. Not my favorite time of year. In
0:50
fact, summer is approaching. Well, it's
0:52
already the unofficial start of summer
0:55
with Memorial Day that just came and
0:57
went is the unofficial start of summer.
1:01
Technically is not for another week or
1:03
two. In fact, I don't even remember what
1:04
the the the specific day is, but it's
1:07
officially summer, but the unofficial
1:10
day has hit. And now riding around in
1:13
Mini Mini Marge, my glorified golf cart.
1:16
Need some caffeine. Going to go up to
1:18
Starbucks. mobile order piping hot
1:20
caffeinated beverage. It's a little
1:21
later in the day. It's 1 minute till
1:24
6:00 p.m. Been doing some stuff around
1:27
the house, you know, putting some of the
1:29
artwork that I've been getting at some
1:31
of the thrift stores, doing some
1:32
laundry, rearranging some things,
1:36
planning and paying for and looking
1:39
towards the future of travels. Going to
1:41
be leaving in 2
1:43
days. So, I'm going to be here tomorrow
1:45
within the next day. Getting on a plane
1:47
and going
1:49
somewhere. Soon as the traffic goes by,
1:51
I'm going to head
1:53
downtown, get some coffee, just see
1:56
where I'm going hatless today. Going
1:58
hatless. I don't have the big brimmed
2:00
hat that I got in Mexico. I'm not
2:01
wearing my raised cap on backwards. I'm
2:03
just going hatless. I figure let the
2:05
hair flow in the
2:08
breeze. Oh, I got to get moving though.
2:10
I'm inviting you to join me. I didn't
2:13
realize there was a car a few hundred
2:15
yards back there. I'm inviting you to
2:16
join me. It's good to have you here.
2:17
It's officially hurricane season, folks.
2:20
Whether you want it to be or not join,
2:24
let's have an
2:25
evening, shall you? Oh, wow. Is this
2:28
some kind of premonition? Well, it's not
2:30
a premonition cuz it's really happening.
2:32
Got Duke Energy out fixing some power
2:33
lines or doing something up here, which
2:35
is what happens all the time during
2:38
hurricane season. Again, there hasn't
2:40
been a storm, but they're out here doing
2:41
something. This just the first of many
2:44
times the power companies will be out
2:45
fixing fixing stuff. But in all
2:47
truthfulness, it's really not that bad
2:50
power-wise here. In fact, Celebration
2:52
has no above ground power lines. Last
2:56
year, there was really bad hurricane
2:57
during Halloween season. A lot of
3:00
Central Florida lost power, but lucky
3:02
enough did not lose power here in
3:04
celebration, which is kind of nice.
3:06
Yeah, they they had the wherewithal when
3:07
they built the town to not have above
3:10
ground power lines. They're all
3:12
underground spot accomplished over here
3:14
in the
3:15
proper fit to fit to size spot for mini
3:20
Marge here. Last year again during
3:23
Halloween season, I think was the only
3:25
major hurricane that I was in town for
3:27
because I do travel a lot. My mom and my
3:30
dad came over from their place, stayed
3:32
with me for a day or two, and we
3:34
weathered the storm pretty well. I feel
3:36
like the homestead that I purchased is
3:39
very sturdy. Got a good test. Obviously,
3:42
there could be a stronger hurricane come
3:44
through at another point, but it was a
3:46
pretty decent size one. And I feel like
3:48
being in central Florida and being in
3:50
the place that I am
3:51
in, I feel pretty good. I I feel like I
3:55
have a pretty good solid place to
3:56
weather a mediumra hurricane. Now, there
3:59
could be, you know, cat five or six
4:01
rolls through the middle of Central
4:03
Florida. That could be a whole other
4:04
story, but all right, coffee time. I've
4:08
been on a sugar-free hot vanilla latte
4:10
kick lately. They're so good. They're so
4:12
good. To go. Oh, some dogs barking
4:14
behind me over here. Looking at the
4:16
newly within less than a week, this uh
4:18
fountain over here at Lake Reinhardt has
4:21
been performing very nicely. It's a nice
4:23
addition to the lake shore, the lake
4:25
front. Very beautiful. I like it. I'm
4:29
I'm I'm all for it. I'm all for the
4:30
fountain right here in the middle of
4:31
Lake Ryan Hart. It's a It's a beautiful
4:33
site. Just bask in all of its watery,
4:36
effervescently flowing glory right here.
4:41
Remember, do not feed or mess with the
4:44
gators. There's a sign right here. And
4:46
I'm thinking because it's starting to be
4:48
later in the day, within another two
4:51
hours, less than two hours, the sun will
4:52
be setting, I might go do a couple
4:54
things, drive around, and then dip back
4:56
into certain areas and see if I can find
4:59
some dusk deer at dusk. It's like a fun
5:02
thing to do when I'm home. And I know
5:04
I've shown the the deer a couple times
5:06
this week, but you know what? Got to
5:08
love the deer. And I'll see if I can
5:10
find more deer at dusk. But I'm thinking
5:13
about driving over into No Man's Land on
5:15
Highway 192. Go on the other side of the
5:18
road that I didn't take the other day
5:19
and go over to Hope Thrift and the
5:21
little $1.99 store. Just kind of cruise
5:23
along, maybe check in on the hotel, see
5:25
if they started any construction on that
5:27
hotel they supposedly were was going to
5:29
tear down and fix up and build a new
5:31
resort. Just see cuz it's been a month
5:34
and a half since I've been over on that
5:36
side and looked at that. So, we'll see.
5:38
But for now, just standing here
5:41
comfortable with my Crocs here at Lake
5:43
Reinhardt. Dedicated to the memory of
5:45
Richard Dick Reinhardt and his
5:47
friendship, caring, kindness, and
5:48
dedication to the service of celebration
5:52
circa 2005, November 12th of 2005. Lake
5:56
Reinhardt was dedicated to him. It was
5:58
not originally built with a name. It was
6:00
just a lake at Celebration back in the
6:02
'90s when Celebration was built. And now
6:05
it's named after Richard Reyhard. And
6:09
there's now a fountain right here. The
6:10
fountain does not have a name.
6:16
However, I don't have a name for the
6:16
fountain. That is not an alarm on many
6:19
Mars. But there is a squirrel right up
6:21
here. Take a look at this squirrel. It's
6:25
having a little snack. Oh, it's one on
6:27
the other side,
6:28
though. Oh, he's right up here now. Hold
6:30
on a second. Hold on, squirrel. Hold on
6:32
a second, squirrel. You're right there
6:34
on the corner there. Right there. He's
6:36
just nibbling on that little snack right
6:38
there. He's got a little treat, a little
6:39
nut
6:46
there. Adam the Woo's Wild
6:46
Kingdom. You ready for some deer later?
6:48
Some deer at dusk, squirrel. You're out
6:51
all the time. You're You're out morning,
6:54
noon, and night. Maybe
6:56
even after nightfall rears its head. I
6:58
mean, you're always out here. Squirrels
7:00
are always out. But deer, what do they
7:03
do during the What do they do during the
7:04
day and late at night? Oh, here's a
7:08
lizard. Hold on a second. Hold
7:10
on. Adam the Woo's Wild
7:22
Kingdom. Florida is just full of
7:22
dinosaurs,
7:24
gators,
7:27
lizards. It's about all I can think of.
7:29
Oh, this is interesting. Now they're
7:31
over here. Maybe they are doing some
7:34
preliminary type of
7:37
stuff. Yeah, the energy company. Maybe
7:40
they're doing some preliminary hurricane
7:42
prep cuz today's the first day. All
7:46
right, I've crossed over on the other
7:47
side of the street. Passing by the
7:50
longest
7:52
construction
7:53
update
7:59
motel hotel on Highway 192 near
7:59
Celebration. This thing has been being
8:02
worked on for like 10 years. This is the
8:05
one I used to work at back in turn of
8:07
the century, many years ago. Worked at
8:09
the pool bar around the back 2000, 2001,
8:13
2002, maybe even maybe even late 90s. I
8:16
can't even recall. And then this place
8:23
closed. But this one over here, they've
8:23
been fixing it up so slowly, so
8:25
incredibly slowly for a
8:34
decade. This place closed, I don't know,
8:34
this one particular one closed about a
8:36
year
8:38
ago. And you can see some wind damage is
8:40
torn down the welcome center awning
8:43
here. Surprised they just haven't even
8:44
torn this whole building down yet.
8:47
Gifts for less was what it was called.
8:49
Got the alligator here. Then you got the
8:52
coolest alligator or coolest shark you
8:54
could ever see right over here. Giving
8:56
it a big thumbs up right next to Waffle
8:59
House just sitting empty for a long
9:01
time. There's Oldtown over there. The
9:03
ferris wheel, the checkers, the
9:05
slingshot, all that over there across
9:08
the way. Nice little cloud
9:09
formation as well. Just running parallel
9:12
to 192. Saying hello to Marilyn and
9:15
Elvis right up there. Marilyn Monroe,
9:17
Elvis Presley. You're at the best price
9:20
gift shops out of all the gift shops.
9:22
This one states it has the best
9:24
prices where the king lie. No, I think
9:27
the king's telling the truth. Best
9:29
prices. Marker
9:36
10. I always like to show these markers
9:36
cuz they don't get a whole heck of a lot
9:38
of
9:39
use. Almost up to Hope Thrift. Almost
9:44
there. Quick and easy. Quick and easy.
9:47
Marker 10. Marker 10. I don't know why
9:49
I'm saying it like that. All right, I've
9:52
arrived. Hope Thrift next to the Rock
9:54
Church, formerly formerly the American
9:57
Gladiators Dinner Show Complex. Hope
10:00
Thrift. All right, I'm inside now.
10:01
There's a griddle accessory tool kit in
10:04
here. Don't need one of those, but
10:06
there's also a strong and powerful
10:08
magnet screen door thing. Great for pets
10:11
also. That kind of come in handy. I
10:14
don't know if I need a shopping cart,
10:15
but I'm just going to kind of peruse.
10:17
Oh, is this mannequin something? No,
10:20
just the just the aprons. $14, but
10:22
there's like a fullsize mannequin right
10:24
here. Furniture chairs for $40. Looks
10:28
like a bed frame or a crib frame. This
10:31
is sold right here. This dresser. This
10:33
is neat. Oh, I like this. This is like a
10:35
This is a relic. This is an antique
10:37
little side table piece for $9.99.
10:40
That's actually kind of wonder if I
10:42
could put Wonder if I'd have room for
10:43
that on my cart. That could go in one of
10:46
the rooms. I need a little side table.
10:49
Kind of scuffed up though. I don't know.
10:51
10 bucks. Can't really beat that
10:54
price. I like that. That's uh definitely
10:57
very
10:58
vintage right there. This is a little
11:00
bean bag chair over here. Way smaller
11:03
than the one I have in my living room. I
11:04
have one of the love sacks, which I
11:06
love. Yep. No clever name that actually
11:10
is appropriate. This is not a love sack.
11:12
Books are a dollar and up. This one's
11:14
kind of neat. There's the underground.
11:16
There's the the tube they call it.
11:19
Living abroad in London. Probably some
11:20
good little uh little tips and things
11:23
about London. London will be a place I
11:25
will be going to pretty often using that
11:27
as like a a hub if you will. There's the
11:31
post office box or PO box of sorts.
11:35
But London, there's direct flights out
11:37
of MCO, Orlando International to London.
11:40
So, I will be in London pretty often and
11:42
then just using that to take other
11:45
flights and trains, etc. over to many
11:48
other countries on that side of the
11:50
world. But I don't think I'm going to
11:51
buy this, but this is what I don't know.
11:53
I just saw this and thought it was neat.
11:54
I've been collecting a lot of vinyl. I
11:56
know vinyl is definitely uh pretty
11:59
popular with a lot of people and also
12:01
VHS. haven't really gone down the VHS
12:03
rabbit hole, but I feel as if so. You
12:06
got digital downloads and then you got
12:08
vinyl, which is just kind of more for
12:09
the collecting and then listening to
12:11
more of a more of a raw style at home
12:14
with the little cracks and the nuances
12:16
and the the vibe of vinyl. But are CDs
12:20
ever going to become like a retro thing?
12:22
Even cassette tapes are getting really
12:23
popular now. But here's Sting. This is a
12:27
double Clapton set right here. You got
12:31
Santana, Viva, Santana. I'm sure
12:33
there'll come a point when people want
12:35
CDs again, but right now they're just
12:36
they're everywhere. Every thrift store
12:38
you go to, there's just so many of them
12:39
and no one seems to buy them. Here's
12:41
just a random one I was not expecting to
12:43
see at Hope Thrift. 95 South, of course,
12:46
95 is the interstate that runs along the
12:48
coastline. Melbourne, Coco, Daytona,
12:51
etc. 95 South was a rap group. Hump with
12:55
it. It's on rap records. So, yeah. Oh
12:59
god. Why? You know what? Why not? Thrift
13:01
store. Fine. Still sealed. Next to the
13:03
town by the same name, you know, to the
13:05
next town over a couple miles. I drove
13:07
my card over here. You can get the punch
13:08
party set from a company named after the
13:11
same town I live in. This fondue set
13:13
looks like it's seen some years right
13:15
here. 30 recipes for fun and romance.
13:17
Chocolate fondue. It's a gift set. Now,
13:20
over here, there's a couple different
13:22
radio speakers. This is called a retro
13:25
wireless speaker. 1999. And so I guess
13:28
if I was to buy it and it didn't work, I
13:29
wouldn't be out too much. But it's a
13:31
Bluetooth and it kind of has that retro
13:33
look to it. That'd be kind of neat. I
13:36
could throw it maybe in one of the the
13:39
bathrooms. Like maybe taking a shower
13:41
could have some music playing while
13:43
singing in the shower kind of thing. Or
13:44
maybe throw that somewhere else in my
13:46
house. Again, not sure if it works, but
13:48
looks like an animal has mauled the side
13:51
of it and just like ate the living crud
13:53
out of the side of this box. So, an
13:55
animal or a human that feeds on
13:57
cardboard. 20 bucks. What kind of
14:00
batteries does this thing take? It takes
14:03
a 3.7
14:06
volt portable speaker, one USBC charging
14:10
cable, and a user manual. I think I'm
14:13
going to get it. There's also this
14:15
thing, which I don't need that. I am
14:18
happy to report that over here down the
14:20
way a bit at the empty ticket outlet
14:23
that's been sitting empty for many many
14:25
years that Van Halen still lives. No one
14:30
has painted over Van Halen yet. This has
14:33
been on here for months and it just
14:36
makes me happy to see what year is it?
14:39
It's 2025.
14:41
Someone has put Van Halen on the side of
14:44
this
14:45
empty ticket
14:48
outlet. 6115 Earl Bronson Highway,
14:53
Highway 192. Van Halen
14:56
lives. Kind of zipping along. So,
14:58
Celebration Entrance is right over
15:00
there. I'm on the other side of the
15:01
street. And they announced, I think at
15:03
the first of the year, they confirmed
15:07
that they were going to take this old
15:09
hotel up here, which I've done a series
15:12
of videos in inside, outside, scurrying
15:15
around the exterior, going in the in the
15:18
buildings a couple
15:19
times. Not really doing that again
15:22
because not really the safest place
15:24
ever.
15:27
But there was some news that came out at
15:30
the first of the year that they were
15:31
going to tear it all down and build two
15:33
resorts with the ferris wheel right
15:36
across from Celebration, but hasn't
15:38
happened yet. Lando Sun
15:44
Resorts and people just go in and out of
15:44
here all the time.
15:47
Oh, so I called this Lonely World
15:50
because someone spray painted Lonely
15:52
World on the side
15:54
of the Orlando Sun and Convention Center
15:57
sign a couple years ago and they removed
16:00
it. Someone painted over it and now
16:03
someone has brought Lonely World
16:05
back. Lonely World is
16:13
back. I
16:13
guess the residents of the Orlando Sun
16:16
Resort and Convention Center really
16:17
wanted to stay Lonely
16:21
World. Yeah. No fences around this
16:25
place. Really no rules inside. Just kind
16:30
of It's just kind of
16:33
here. And that's as far as I'm going to
16:35
go by myself. Not I'm not going to go
16:37
back in there.
16:47
I've certainly seen enough of that place
16:47
in my tenure living across the street
16:49
and coming over here. Will be nice when
16:53
ferris wheel there, some resorts areas
16:55
kind of cleaned up a little
16:58
bit if that ever happens. Every 6 months
17:01
or so it is
17:04
confirmed that a new development's going
17:07
to go in here. But h I'll believe it
17:08
when I see it. I'll honestly believe it
17:10
when I see it. Lonely
17:13
world. That's my
17:16
shadow. And now it's
17:19
gone. Cuz the shadow of the tree is more
17:23
overwhelming. There's the shadow
17:31
again. This lake over
17:31
here looks kind of different. It looks a
17:34
little greener than normal. Like more
17:35
like algae.
17:42
top of it. It's really beautiful this
17:42
hour. Sometimes you see the deer over
17:44
here. This is on East Lawn, which kind
17:48
of always reminds me a little bit of
17:50
Beverly Hills. It's got the palm trees
17:52
and kind of mansiony type of buildings.
17:55
Look at these cars cruising
18:21
good. Where you at, dear? Know you're
18:21
out
18:22
here. It's like my new favorite thing to
18:24
do when I'm home. If I'm not out and
18:26
about doing something at this time of
18:28
the night, I wish I'd get on the cart
18:31
and drive around and find some deer.
18:34
Other people do the same thing on their
18:36
cart. Here comes someone else out
18:37
looking for deer. Right. This area over
18:39
here is where I've seen them
18:42
before. I'm not seeing them now, but I
18:44
am seeing a gator in here. Good size
18:48
gator, too. That is not cool. Cool. Only
18:51
resides over in Lake
18:53
Reinhardt, but that one's a little bit
18:55
bigger.
19:04
kind of see right
19:04
there. Yeah, gators everywhere. If
19:08
there's a body of water in central
19:11
Florida or in Florida, odds are good
19:13
there's probably a gator in it. Just a
19:15
word of warning. If you're ever
19:17
visiting, you wouldn't want to go, you
19:20
know, taking a dip in something like
19:22
this. The ocean. the ocean because
19:25
there's no gators in the ocean, but then
19:26
you got other other sea
19:30
creatures right over there. Gator
19:32
swimming
19:34
around out of the Woo! Wild
19:43
Kingdom. There's a bird right there
19:43
having a little snack right on the
19:44
shore.
19:52
Well, thought I was going to see some
19:52
deer, but I'm seeing birds, gators,
19:54
lizards,
19:56
squirrels. Well, the insects are making
19:59
some serious
20:12
trees. One day I'm going to be looking
20:12
for deer and a Bigfoot's going to just
20:16
rage out of the wooded areas towards the
20:19
golf cart.
20:25
Yeah, not seeing any deer tonight.
20:25
They're all doing their own
20:28
thing. Drew around for a while. Haven't
20:32
found
20:33
any. This is usually the time when
20:35
they're out. Every time I'm in
20:37
Celebration, I always find areas I've
20:39
never seen before. Like, I've never seen
20:42
little dock through the swamps before
20:44
over here. Just so many
20:46
areas to this town. little nooks and
20:50
crannies. Yeah, for real though, this is
20:52
like a serious swamp walk right over
21:23
Hear that grunting? I think that's g
21:23
that's a big
21:32
gator. Oh, you even have the they call
21:32
these cattails.
21:45
Yeah, I didn't even realize this dock
21:46
was over here.
22:09
The peaceful organic
22:09
sounds of dusk and celebration.
23:12
So many of them.
23:20
This is when I wish my golf cart wasn't
23:20
making this
23:26
noise. All right, there's one,
23:26
two, three, four right
23:30
there staring at very attentively at
25:00
So beautiful. So cool. So
25:21
I just love this. I love that I can just
25:21
get on a little golf cart, drive around
25:22
at dusk, and see deer in the town I live
25:27
in.
25:34
Magical. Okay, see you later, dear. Glad
25:34
I got to see you and your friends.
25:46
Sights and sounds and
25:46
soothing mellow vibes
25:50
celebration. There goes a bird right up
25:52
there flying over. Flying over bird.
25:55
Go through the beautiful sunset that's
25:58
happening across the golf
26:00
course. Probably a gator in here too.
26:03
I've seen gators in this one as well,
26:04
but right now they're submerged or they
26:07
moved on to other lakes.
26:17
Today was just a really relaxing, chill
26:17
day. Didn't do a whole heck of a lot.
26:19
Just did some stuff at
26:20
home. Did some laundry
26:23
and some things I need to take care of
26:26
on the home at the
26:27
homestead. Relax a little bit, plan some
26:30
things out. Lots of travels upcoming
26:32
again. You left your car running. You
26:34
can't park there. And that's going to do
26:37
it for today. Thanks for watching. I'll
26:39
see you in the next video. The vlog it's
