6:11 building up where they're going elevated

6:13 with us keep in mind that we didn't

6:16 start adding our theme park rides and

6:18 attractions until 1955 after Disneyland

6:22 opened their gates we started with the

6:25 studio tour and the movies so we're

6:27 taking you guys down to the original 200

6:30 acres that make up Universal Studios

6:32 Hollywood had a great view of this mural

6:34 that we've been working on out here for

6:36 the past couple of weeks well I see we

6:38 but we invited an artist named Tristan

7:13 the John's Lake might look a little bit

7:13 different than you're used to right now

7:15 it's getting a little refurbishment this

7:17 time of year a lot of people on board

7:20 are probably wondering is this where

7:22 they filmed the movie Jaws

7:23 absolutely not jaws was filmed on

7:25 location in Martha's Vineyard and

7:28 speaking of How to Train Your Dragon

7:30 there is a video photo op presentation

7:33 at the end of the train for us from this

7:35 angle I really look closely off there in

7:39 the distance but definitely looks as if

7:41 they're going vertical with whatever is

7:44 going to be in that spot to the far end

7:47 path The Mummy building looking off on

7:50 the horizon there under the crane t-rex

7:53 has appeared on this side of the

7:54 building holy cow

7:55 that was certainly not there until very

7:59 recently probably in the last couple of

8:01 weeks I think they were starting on it

8:03 last time I documented that but now it's

8:06 engulfing the entire side of the

8:09 building that thing is impressive most

8:14 almost like a t-rex right as I pan

8:22 around from this angle I'm noticing a

8:24 building has been removed here on the

8:26 left

8:27 it was a snack bar of sorts to the far

8:29 right of the screen you should be able

8:31 to see the roof not anymore

8:34 and is it just me or were there more

8:36 palm trees right in this area

8:40 up until up until now can get a pretty

8:44 good full view from back here you can

8:46 faintly see that t-rex it's been it's

8:50 been created there on the side on the

8:52 far left I'd really like to know if that

8:54 little archway is on the chopping block

8:56 it'd be really unusual not to see that

8:58 there anymore but with progress things

9:00 change so honestly who knows it's pretty

10:35 colored in yet but I love this thing so

10:48 that - Universal Monsters so classic you

10:57 Future the Clocktower of course it has a

11:00 an overlay on it inside these doors

11:03 however are the original pillars and

11:05 these are the original steps where marty

11:08 was standing down below doc was way up

11:12 there pretty incredible looking out over

11:15 where Luz was across the courtyard but

11:20 here are those pillars - on this side

11:24 looking up towards the top and then as I

11:28 pan around here are two more top portion

11:32 of that one is covered but if you are a

11:35 fan of the movie like I am these are

11:38 very very familiar ah yes the Lyon

11:41 estate signs these are not the original

11:45 the original ones

11:47 have been erased from existence these

11:51 are recreations but nonetheless pretty

11:54 dang cool many years ago on the backlot

11:57 there was an attraction that they

11:59 heavily promoted and used called runaway

12:01 train where this exact locomotive would

12:04 head towards guests and then stop

12:06 startling them as they were on the tram

12:08 ride and the train still still exists

12:12 all these years later back here

12:13 that's admit this is pretty amazing

12:16 colonial Street which is used in a lot

12:19 of different productions but one of one

12:23 of my favorite movies was shot right

12:26 here in this little this little area the

12:29 burbs starring Tom Hanks Corey Feldman

12:33 1313 Mockingbird Lane also resides on

12:37 this thoroughfare

12:40 but monsters just a little different but

12:43 that's the house the Jimmy Stewart film

12:46 Harvey where he had an invisible

12:49 invisible rabbit and one of the sorority

12:54 houses from Animal House right there on

12:56 the end so much history here on Colonial

12:58 Street the home from the Nancy Drew

13:01 mysteries is adjacent to Matlock's house

13:08 then on the end

13:10 Vincent Price took up residence in the

13:14 house of Seven Gables right there he

13:18 lights in front of front of the

13:20 buildings I've turned on that gives us a

13:22 cool little vibe almost like a real

13:24 residential neighborhood see the tram

13:26 going by tours are still in full effect

13:37 and now that the normal tram has passed

13:37 through one of the VIP ones making the

13:41 routes

14:00 Norman I don't know right next door at

14:00 the top of the hill up that staircase

14:03 check that out the psycho house was my

14:11 imitation of a shower scene you'll

14:14 notice in the top left window his mother

14:16 in a rocking chair mother

14:33 creepy there's a nice shot with the moon

14:40 hee-hee-hee-hee-hee some more like a car

14:56 here I ran in to a familiar face its

15:07 knife which I didn't realize as I was

15:20 now he's gone back inside here's a

15:20 second photo a little blurry but you get

15:38 nostalgic sign with these sounds of the

15:55 ironwork it is kind of dark at the

15:58 moment I also will insert this because I

16:01 shot inside the park a little earlier

16:04 today before nightfall reared its head

16:20 I wish they'd hurry up and make the

16:20 announcement on what this officially

16:22 will be
