0:03 today's adventure i will be
0:04 heading around the greater los angeles
0:07 area to do a
0:08 detailed search of the filming locations
0:12 of rob zombies 2007
0:16 remake reimagining
0:20 of the classic late 70s horror
0:24 film halloween
0:28 i've been wanting to do this for a while
0:29 i'm inviting you to join me
0:33 shall you got a lot of ground and a lot
0:37 of screen captures
0:40 to go through all taken off of the
0:43 unrated
0:44 director's cut blu-ray as well as a four
0:48 and a half
0:49 hour documentary that is on the second
0:51 disc
0:52 with some deleted scenes gonna try to
0:54 cover as much of that as
0:56 as possible in one day let's get moving
0:59 just so happens the very first stop off
1:01 coincides with the first six days
1:04 of filming also tagging along
1:08 is sean clark from horrors hallowed
1:10 ground i can't think of anyone else i
1:12 would love to be along this adventure
1:14 because
1:15 you you're a self-proclaimed aficionado
1:17 of
1:18 the entire halloween franchise more or
1:21 less
1:22 uh ambassador i feel like i'm ambassador
1:25 of the halloween
1:27 fandom definitely and we kind of we
1:30 talked about i said i'm going to do the
1:31 locations and you said well i want to do
1:33 the locations
1:34 i said let's do them together you might
1:36 do a more you might do
1:38 your version later on down the road who
1:40 knows
1:41 but for now you're just kind of hanging
1:43 out going to share a little knowledge
1:45 yeah throw down some knowledge some
1:47 inside
1:48 info as well i got some a little screen
1:51 grab here from the behind the scenes
1:53 there's a few different different angles
1:55 here of
1:56 the crew outside we got the scaffolding
1:58 up and then that's kind of looking back
2:02 towards where we're standing and this as
2:04 well
2:05 there is a fence here there were quite a
2:07 few
2:08 interiors including the strode residence
2:11 living room in there
2:13 as well as the myers basement and the
2:15 myers attic
2:17 and also the window where michael pushes
2:20 her out
2:21 and then it just magically transforms
2:23 over to pasadena this is
2:25 this is in la movie magic
2:28 just about the entire first week of
2:30 filming took place in here and then
2:32 after the over one one month
2:36 you know was completed as editing was
2:39 progressing
2:40 knew they needed some pickup shots they
2:41 returned here
2:43 so a good portion a good portion of the
2:45 interiors throughout the entire
2:47 movie were right inside there and across
2:49 the street
2:51 is where the kitchen scenes were in
2:52 another house there's also a nice little
2:55 hoarder tie-in
2:56 as well let sean explain that so right
2:58 here
2:59 this is the house that was used in wes
3:01 craven's film the people under the
3:02 stairs but it was also
3:05 used in rob zombies halloween this was
3:07 the interior
3:08 of uh the kitchen for the kitchen
3:12 yeah where where poor adam weissman
3:14 judith's boyfriend gets hit
3:16 with the baseball bat and he goes ouch
3:19 right here right there young michael
3:22 gives him a whack
3:23 a little behind the scenes photo of them
3:25 doing
3:26 a little makeup test and stuff right
3:28 there well i guess the angle
3:30 they just showed would have been more
3:32 along from
3:33 from this area
3:42 now are they finally going to turn it
3:42 into a real house or is it always going
3:44 to be for filming
3:55 the way interiors are are shown is
3:55 always fascinating
3:57 number of different spots so you got the
3:58 kitchen here you got
4:00 other areas right across the street
4:02 there and then over you know
4:04 10 miles or so from here were other
4:06 interiors of the same houses
4:09 interesting right located on the corner
4:12 of 22nd
4:13 street and harvard boulevard
4:18 both these spots
4:34 los angeles city kata cool looking van
4:34 855 north vermont ave what we're looking
4:37 for
4:38 is on the opposite side of the campus
4:48 way over there in the corner past that
4:48 tree line
4:50 go around to the other street and see if
4:51 we could get a better view what i'm
4:53 looking for
4:54 is the building used for
4:57 when he was doing the book reading and
5:00 the talk this is what the
5:02 exterior looks like and i believe
5:06 it's this right here
5:10 this theater and there was a deleted
5:12 scene where they had
5:13 a lot of extras right in here
5:17 and it was never used and there was an
5:20 original phone call when he found out
5:21 that michael
5:23 had escaped that took place all in here
5:26 and the sign was over there next to that
5:27 tree
5:28 and this is the view right there
5:32 of that screenshot
5:36 taken from right there
5:39 made it to the parking area at the old
5:42 la zoo
5:44 which is right up there the top
5:47 and there is a dried creek bed
5:51 should be able to match up a few things
5:53 through here down the bottom of the hill
6:06 very rocky terrain through here they're
6:06 a little behind the scenes photo here
6:10 of the crew taking the camera work over
6:13 these boulders
6:15 and there's a tree here that is
6:19 easily recognizable right over there
6:22 take a look at this the way the
6:24 limb extends out there you can see it's
6:26 a little bit overgrown and a little more
6:28 foliage than what
6:30 oh goodness there's
6:33 you've got a clown mask on
6:41 even 13 years later the bark on the tree
6:41 still the same notice that little upside
6:43 down v-shaped
6:46 here is right down there
6:50 so the bully would have been walking
6:52 that direction
6:53 and then the stick incident happened
6:58 and then he laid right here
7:05 he would have been laying right here
7:05 after the fact looking up
7:08 at these tree limbs that was his last
7:11 view
7:13 never mess with young michael myers
7:22 before he meets his demise he was
7:22 walking down
7:24 you know this embankment here you can
7:27 see that that
7:28 one limb has been removed as well as you
7:30 can see a little foundation there
7:32 there's another tree up that's been kind
7:34 of cut down i think a fire
7:35 was through here but that is that's kind
7:38 of the angle there
7:41 there's a lot of bugs through here yeah
7:42 i'm getting attacked by bugs you're
7:44 still holding on to that clown mask yeah
7:45 i found this in the dirt
7:46 you found it by the tree over there yeah
7:49 oh man that was been left over
7:50 yeah they probably didn't need it there
7:52 are a lot of bugs out here
7:55 you all right yeah i think i got one in
7:57 the mouth
8:02 everybody loves a clown this would have
8:02 been his last
8:03 view little titty
8:10 everybody loves the clown i'm gonna go
8:10 say hi to those families that's probably
8:12 not
8:12 that's not a good decision a lot of the
8:14 production vehicles parked through here
8:16 here's another little behind-the-scenes
8:18 photo you notice over here in the corner
8:20 those three trees that are kind of
8:24 very visible they would have been right
8:27 down there
8:28 there's those three trees still there
8:37 that's right big the foot haddenfield
8:37 has palm trees
8:40 who knew just waiting for this light to
8:43 change to go to the next spot
8:44 now over in glendale at 1837 glen
8:47 oaks boulevard and might not be able to
8:51 to film inside here however this is
8:53 where mickey dolan's
8:56 worked behind the counter
9:05 i did manage to get one quick photo
9:06 notice the horns there on the far left
9:10 that's modern day and this is from the
9:13 movie itself
9:14 a little high up shot looking down at
9:17 the counter
9:19 that's it she wasn't the owner but she
9:21 was here when they filmed
9:22 uh this the movie and she said that uh
9:25 she was a big monkeys fan and she had
9:27 actually met nikki dolans before at a
9:28 fan thing
9:30 uh so she was pretty stoked that uh he
9:32 was there
9:33 and malcolm mcdowell obviously and a lot
9:35 of she said they did a
9:36 couple scenes and never even made it
9:37 into the movie they said they filmed a
9:39 lot in there and that like
9:40 basically hardly any of it you know was
9:43 used
9:44 she was bummed at 6045
9:47 york boulevard this museum
9:51 housed where the office where loomis and
9:54 bracket are talking
9:56 as well as a deleted scene of the
9:58 adoption agency
10:00 where the desk was can't go inside they
10:03 are temporarily
10:04 closed however there is this you see rob
10:08 there
10:09 standing at the base of the stairs and
10:11 they place some trees
10:13 so when you're looking at the desk
10:16 outward
10:16 you would not notice that there is
10:20 a thoroughfare and a restaurant right
10:23 over there
10:24 so that is and the desk for the adoption
10:28 agency
10:29 is right through the glass and the only
10:30 person
10:37 i had heard i don't know if it's a rumor
10:37 or true but they built
10:39 that specifically for for the film
10:47 deleted same no way of fully knowing
10:51 because you know can't gain access
10:52 but i'm assuming that the office was
10:55 right here based on
10:57 the windows and brackets desk would have
10:59 been right about here
11:01 looking at loomis that way because
11:03 there's a window here
11:04 other side of that was covered by
11:06 basically a bookshelf
11:08 and there was another window next to it
11:10 so
11:12 right there on the other side of that
11:13 wall just to give a little perspective
11:14 there's those two windows and that
11:16 corner piece
11:17 okay onto the myers house there it is
11:22 in all its glory not a residence
11:26 used specifically for filming
11:33 so always empty unless a production
11:34 company is
11:35 utilizing it right here on this quaint
11:39 street of south pasadena
11:43 closest cross street the corner of
11:45 glendon way and
11:46 glendon court and you can see
11:49 there's a they're walking past
11:53 this structure here you can see right
11:56 there that is
11:58 that is that building and then after
12:02 they met up turned the corner and
12:04 continued walking down to the myers
12:07 house over there on the right
12:09 also down here was also used
12:13 for some of the the looking back
12:16 shots of michael when he's riding the
12:18 bike as a youth
12:20 right over through here as you can see
12:22 him there on the bike
12:24 notice the notice the home over here on
12:27 that side
12:28 yeah they just kind of got a lower grade
12:30 camera and
12:31 made it look like some home videos vhs
12:33 style or
12:35 i guess not vhs but
12:38 high eight perhaps one thing that's
12:41 really fascinating
12:42 even well after a decade this vehicle
12:46 still sits in the same spot
12:49 it just replaced the tag but it's right
12:53 that's the same that's the same antique
12:57 vehicle
12:58 as seen in the movie stepping up the
13:00 block they were
13:01 obviously using a much more zoom in type
13:04 of lens that i have
13:06 but this is the sidewalk same tree
13:09 formation how they kind of
13:10 lean over the pavement down there as
13:14 and continued continued walking up
13:18 a few more feet there's a really quick
13:21 clip in the behind the scenes where
13:23 they're
13:24 filming tyler main busting through the
13:26 car window to pull lori strode through
13:28 and i was standing here watching that
13:30 night
13:32 and you can see me in the shot that the
13:34 behind the scenes guy was shooting this
13:36 way
13:37 and the car was right here
13:40 i believe right right in front
13:43 right in front of the sidewalk yeah i
13:45 think it was like right here
13:47 and so he walks over and busts through
13:50 and
13:50 pulls her out still pretty much looks
13:52 the same and went through a couple
13:53 different
13:54 versions this is when it was kind of
13:57 dirty down a little bit when it was
13:58 abandoned
14:00 but earlier earlier in the movie it was
14:03 a lot cleaned up when
14:05 when the family lived here used to be a
14:07 driveway here where the van
14:09 backed in and the pool around back
14:12 was removed between 2014 2015.
14:16 here's a satellite view of 2014.
14:19 see the pool still back there so
14:23 i'm standing there so in the backyard we
14:25 got the pool
14:26 and then that is 2015 so i'm standing
14:30 and you'll notice completely covered in
14:33 no pool would have been right over in
14:53 the only interiors that they utilized
14:53 were the living room scenes and the
14:56 staircase they go
14:58 up and down but like i said before the
15:00 kitchen and the basement
15:02 and the attic all was different spots
15:05 but you know exterior quite a bit
15:08 happened on the porch and the rock works
15:09 still there
15:10 it is not addressed at 132 as seen here
15:13 and there's
15:14 young michael in that window peaking out
15:18 technically it's one one one zero
15:22 and it's all boarded up now used to be
15:24 able to see in the windows right yeah
15:26 they put the boards up fairly recently
15:29 and he used to be able to look right in
15:31 and that would be where william forsyth
15:35 met his demise sitting in the chair with
15:37 a broken leg and a hurt arm
15:41 sitting right there on the curb
15:42 contemplating how he wanted to go
15:43 trick-or-treating but
15:45 sister wouldn't go with him
15:55 this was also a house from my so-called
15:56 life the tv show
15:57 if you remember that claire danes
16:04 same home there's brother and sister
16:04 during
16:05 happier times notice the the rock work
16:09 still identical
16:14 got the parrots in the background
16:23 parents those are parents yeah they're
16:23 parents
16:23 they all the most i see them in orange
16:27 county a lot near the orange circle but
16:29 i guess they're in paris they're up here
16:31 in pasadena also
16:33 yeah and there they are after all the
16:36 madness
16:38 had taken place
16:50 hey mike do you remember that time and
16:50 you were up there
16:51 and you fell down here and you got hurt
16:55 but then you got up like it didn't hurt
16:57 yeah it was up there
16:58 remember yeah yeah and then you fell
17:02 down here
17:04 and then you got up
17:12 don't say anything if you remember i
17:12 knew you remembered
17:13 he's got a good memory
17:33 one of my favorite sequences is kind of
17:33 when everyone was all the extras were
17:34 told to stand still
17:36 why is the paper doing that the wind's
17:38 blowing but everyone stood still
17:40 it's like an eerie wind out here
17:44 and against that tree one of the
17:46 officers were
17:47 we're standing and then everyone
17:49 everyone no one was moving
17:51 except close-up of the patrol car which
17:54 was here
17:55 and young jason
18:01 dude i said jason again how many times
18:01 today have i said jason
18:07 dude it's like the same thing so it's
18:07 okay nobody will notice
18:14 michael is this where young jason popped
18:16 out of the water
18:17 that's where it was there's a canoe
18:19 right here
18:20 remember the canoe but young michael
18:24 turns his head all creepy like right
18:28 when both the stuntman and stunt woman
18:31 fell off of the top they landed here in
18:34 a bunch of boxes
18:36 right up there busted through the
18:38 railing and
18:40 she got hurt very seriously injured by
18:44 basic plummeting right there under the
18:46 concrete
18:50 you were here then right i was here i
18:50 saw it happen casey hendershot
18:53 who was doubling tyler maine that night
18:56 he took the fall with the uh
18:58 the stunt woman and she she got injured
19:01 um and it was kind of a bad scene
19:04 everybody was panicking
19:05 and when somebody gets hurt on a movie
19:07 set like it's like legit
19:09 like there's a frame of rob and another
19:11 another team member here
19:13 with a kind of a look of wow what just
19:15 happened on their face
19:17 the facial expressions tell the tale
19:23 it was right at the end of the night too
19:23 it was probably like
19:26 three in the morning and here is uh here
19:28 is a photo of that moment you see the
19:30 boxes and the cushions there
19:32 but just miscalculated a little and
19:36 landed there the concrete instead
19:39 climactic inning one of the two endings
19:41 this is the one where she was
19:43 on top with the weapon and you know
19:46 right before
19:47 she started screaming and yelling got it
19:50 was pretty pretty dramatic and then it
19:52 kind of faded into them when they were
19:54 younger
19:55 it was reminiscent there's reminiscent
19:58 times
20:00 what an ending peeking in the front
20:02 window
20:03 of the door there's the staircase that
20:06 everyone went up and down
20:08 and then over to the right would be the
20:09 living room
20:11 where a lot of lot took place
20:14 they made this probably beastie boy like
20:16 you all like yeah yeah but like maybe so
20:18 your face is really obvious in there
20:20 okay
20:29 look at that ginormous
20:29 spotlight spotlights that were
20:32 they were high as these trees and and
20:35 they were above
20:36 every one of these trees lighting this
20:38 neighborhood like
20:40 giving it like a weird like ambiance was
20:43 so cool
20:44 also they were playing basketball in the
20:45 backyard over there
20:47 and actually rob took a couple
20:50 couple uh couple tries at the hoop
20:54 areas with this coffee we can walk in
20:57 right past that house
20:58 also right in here was where they built
21:01 the interiors of the attic scene
21:03 when busting through with the wood at
21:05 the end
21:07 right in this section near the cross
21:08 streets of diamond
21:10 and el centro right where i'm standing
21:12 they put a bike rack
21:14 and that was the elementary
21:17 right over there the exteriors of the
21:19 elementary
21:21 here's another angle interesting thing
21:24 directly across the road
21:26 just a couple feet if you were to turn
21:29 around
21:31 this hadn't filled high this is how it
21:34 looked then
21:35 when it was set dressed and this is
21:38 current day as of right now and they
21:42 just placed over
21:43 the top of this to say haddenfield
21:46 instead of the community room as shown
21:50 a little you know a little set dressing
21:52 really can create
21:54 the illusion who would know the
21:57 difference
21:58 and the two friends walked out of class
22:01 at the end of the day and strolled along
22:05 you can see the side of what is the
22:08 library there
22:10 they put a statue up here as well
22:14 and covered in a facial covering
22:17 because i think the nose was broken or
22:19 something it so they just
22:20 put a halloween mask on it this is
22:22 another one of my favorites but they use
22:24 a
22:24 incredible zoom on this going through
22:27 these trees
22:29 but young michael would have been way
22:32 on that far corner utilizing all this
22:34 great
22:35 foliage use the proper lens
22:38 and you get that him peering in
22:45 a lot of the cast interviews by
22:45 different media outlets were done
22:47 right in here under the backdrop of the
22:49 original
22:50 strode house from 78 over there on the
22:52 corner
22:53 and they built a an elevated section
22:57 to give the illusion looking out of the
22:59 library which is at
23:00 another spot right up there looking
23:03 across
23:08 to michael next to that tree just a
23:08 little box about
23:09 i don't know 20 or 30 feet feet up
23:13 so go from there it's right about at
23:15 that tree line
23:37 that view through the trees that zoomed
23:37 in we got i'm standing in the
23:40 same spot as michael but then looking
23:41 back at this behind the scenes
23:43 photo here you can see that the bully
23:47 wanders off that way before they head
23:48 over to griffith park so
23:51 and then young michael slowly starts to
23:54 walk over and then we're transformed
23:56 back to where we were earlier at
23:58 griffith park there is a brief moment in
24:00 the documentary
24:01 where he mentions the truck wash
24:06 bathroom was built inside of this
24:09 building
24:11 to think that the fight took place
24:15 inside here it's pretty fascinating you
24:17 have to just match up the windows
24:19 so what we're thinking is that those
24:23 are those three of them
24:26 and the set was built on the other side
24:29 of that that box that would have been
24:32 where ken foreign walks in
24:34 to use the facilities see if that
24:37 lantern
24:38 this is it you can see that light you
24:40 see the light up there
24:42 it's right up there those are definitely
24:45 the lights
24:50 it was a pretty it was a pretty intense
24:50 moment
24:51 they were going to put they were going
24:53 to put a fake partition
24:55 up but it said they had the the metal
24:57 one they didn't even didn't even say cut
25:00 and they both just slammed their bodies
25:02 and arms inside that metal
25:03 bruises and all they just went for it
25:07 uh hey mike um about 29 years too late
25:11 she already left arrived at the corner
25:14 of fairview ave
25:15 and buena vista street where
25:19 as they're walking going down this road
25:22 this
25:22 little row of rocks
25:25 and that's a very familiar looking
25:27 looking home over there is it
25:28 yes that ring a bell yes it does right
25:32 right in that little walkway behind that
25:33 tree is where arnie
25:35 dropped the the trash bag split open he
25:37 dropped trash all over the place that
25:39 was
25:39 arnie's house from christine john
25:41 carpenter's christine
25:43 so they would have walked past arnie's
25:46 house
25:46 continue this way here's another behind
25:49 the scenes
25:51 there's rob there off in the corner and
25:54 he's talking to the girls right here
25:55 it's very
25:56 very silhouetted by the shadows as the
25:58 day starts to progress
26:04 and you go up here to this corner and
26:04 turn and that's where
26:06 the walk to the stroke house is there
26:08 used to be a lot
26:10 more prominent amount around amount of
26:13 trees
26:15 right here but all those all the root
26:17 systems have been removed
26:19 and at this very corner right up here is
26:21 where the cruiser stopped to
26:23 ask if they need a ride you'll also
26:24 notice a lot of set dressing
26:27 when it comes to lamp posts you know
26:29 light poles that are
26:31 placed there would have been one there
26:33 and it's all through the entire
26:35 the entire movie right there is where
26:38 they all stopped and
26:41 we're asked for the ride you can match
26:44 up the
26:45 the rocks here on the side so let's just
26:48 kind of go into here
26:50 we got like a little gray one there in
26:52 the middle
26:53 and two two lighter
26:57 ones on either side would be
27:00 right there there's the gray one and
27:01 then below it is a a much
27:03 larger maybe twice as large below
27:07 that gray one which would be right there
27:09 there's the larger one
27:11 that's they were standing right here and
27:14 i'm noticing
27:15 a very iconic tree that used to be here
27:19 is gone
27:22 yeah there was a a split tree that has
27:25 been removed
27:27 dang can kind of see the root system
27:30 well here's the root system of it right
27:33 shown
27:41 as so the two friends parted ways
27:41 right there
27:47 and then she continued to carry on and
27:47 most
27:48 the palm trees were obscured to make it
27:50 look not look like southern california
27:52 however
27:53 this one could be seen
27:56 it didn't wrap that one up for whatever
27:59 reason that's modern day but even
28:02 even in o7 they didn't try to hide that
28:04 one in fact you see the palm tree there
28:07 over her shoulder
28:09 and speaking of not only the tree at the
28:12 end
28:13 has been replaced with that stop sign
28:16 that's probably a stop sign there but it
28:17 just wasn't as noticeable
28:19 also this branch has been
28:23 cut off and then she realizes she's
28:27 walking all alone
28:30 someone could be following her these two
28:33 are
28:33 very distinct of course different using
28:36 a different kind of lens
28:37 but right through the middle of those
28:40 two
28:41 she would have strolled
28:44 still looks the same
28:52 they had the skeleton out front for
28:52 decorations
28:54 the mom trying to put it together was
28:57 stressing out over it same mother from
29:00 e.t by the way
29:10 they utilized a crane which
29:10 i do not have at my disposal
29:14 there it is
29:24 her dad gave her the envelope to take by
29:24 she went that way there's another palm
29:26 tree which was
29:28 disguised quite well
29:32 as i pan this way
29:41 it was covered in quite a bit of foliage
29:41 as shown here it's in disguise
29:50 very very dramatic when the
29:50 trick-or-treaters came up
29:54 and michael you weren't expecting it it
29:56 was kind of a jump scare
29:58 took the dad out and back inside and man
30:02 pretty scary right there you can see
30:05 mike
30:06 and holy crap
30:09 right there you can see mike uh i hope
30:13 he doesn't see me
30:14 i'm gonna try to hide behind this palm
30:18 maybe he's just taking a stroll
30:21 hopefully he's just taking a stroll just
30:22 catching some
30:23 air you know i don't know i think he
30:26 sees me
30:27 he is kind of coming at me a little
30:28 aggressively
30:30 i hope he respects the six foot
30:32 boundaries with a pandemic
30:34 oh he's tricky
30:37 he's where do you go he's tricky oh
30:40 there he is
30:45 arrive now at the corner of la france
30:46 maple street and the babysitter houses
30:51 are right down there
30:56 down at the bottom there you see the
30:56 address 1945
30:59 etched on the curb still
31:02 still etched it's not this home
31:06 it was this one here one of the two
31:19 very distinct with loomis running in
31:19 you got the you know the windows up top
31:22 and then the porch area in the middle
31:29 not too far from the other house right
31:30 over there on the left
31:31 quite a few occasions they went in and
31:34 out of doyle house which is there
31:38 there's a
31:38 great image of michael
31:42 carrying lori down those stairs
31:54 yet another image of him kind of looming
31:54 across the way as
31:55 her boyfriend picks her up in his sports
31:58 car
32:00 he was on the opposite side
32:03 there and you could see the telephone
32:06 pole still over there
32:09 so he would have been right here just
32:12 watching
32:14 yep that's right big the foot stole more
32:16 palm trees
32:18 lots of palm trees at hattonfield
32:21 hattonfield char broiled burger
32:32 it's a little different in the the color
32:32 scheme is a little
32:33 a little different they did use the
32:35 interiors for a moment where they walked
32:37 out and just kind of talked right here
32:39 there were some guests eating their meal
32:42 at the tables
32:43 tables are a little different but this
32:46 is where it was
32:48 there was also this during production
32:51 where there's a liquor store in the
32:53 background there
32:55 that liquor store can still be seen and
32:57 that very distinctive
33:01 other building over the shoulder there
33:05 which is that one and this is what the
33:08 inside looks like they weren't here for
33:09 very long just for a brief moment

33:29 they arrived out here and then back on

33:38 post-production they went back for some
33:40 pickup shots
33:42 with sid haig trying to match up both
33:45 of those two scenarios even back then
33:48 that branch had been
33:50 had been cut off this is hit this is you

33:53 making sure he was safe when he did the
33:54 little little drop down there
33:58 but you'll see there on the side the
34:00 branch is still missing
34:02 and they added some some headstones
34:05 so you see the very distinct ones but
34:08 then you'll also see some here
34:10 that are obviously just added by you
34:13 know the production to make it
34:20 give it a little more feel there he is
34:20 he's meeting his demise
34:23 you'll notice yeah just take a look at
34:25 the pattern of those of the
34:27 little like small one there are very
34:29 tall
34:30 one in the middle and then one next to
34:33 it and that would be
34:35 those three right there this is turning
34:38 out to be a little bit more of a
34:40 quest than i had thought to find oh wait
34:44 wait
34:45 okay this is not related but very
34:46 interesting that oh yeah
34:49 okay that's there are a lot of those
34:52 parrots out here
35:03 this took probably about a half hour
35:03 maybe 45 minutes of wandering around
35:06 notice the otis
35:07 right down there so we got otis
35:11 the car pulls up sid haig playing the
35:13 caretaker
35:14 chandler which using
35:18 an extreme zoom the chandler
35:23 is way up here so they had a crane shot
35:28 and really the only way to line it up
35:30 other than this
35:31 is a tree over there with an interesting
35:35 root system
35:36 and a branch that is cut off well that
35:40 that's a little bit of an undertaking
35:42 now that we pinpointed that the
35:44 the myers headstone would have been you
35:46 see right there where
35:49 animal was would have been kind of where
35:51 the shadow is just somewhere in this
35:52 general vicinity once again
35:54 they did add some some set dressing
35:58 but you'll see there are these three
36:01 which still remain loomis walking right
36:04 through
36:05 the middle of those two and there is one
36:08 that states
36:10 charleston and charleston
36:13 can be right there behind that prop
36:16 the real one still remains
36:25 to this day charleston
36:25 so right where shawn's standing
36:28 that's the spot
36:34 a couple miles away at 2180 north lake
36:34 ave in
36:35 altadena is this building which
36:38 stood in for all the inside well the
36:40 interiors
36:42 for the school the scene with the bully
36:46 in
36:47 the restroom as well as the library that
36:51 you would assume was in south pasadena
36:54 but it was
36:54 a few miles away and the way that could
36:57 be noted
36:58 are the windows that are right over
37:02 that arch building which is also very
37:05 interesting okay there's the one two
37:06 three
37:07 they were sitting in the middle there
37:11 which would have been one two three
37:15 sitting in the middle there now it will
37:18 be intercut
37:20 with that elevated area in south
37:22 pasadena
37:23 where they're looking out down at the
37:26 1978
37:28 schrode house where michael is standing
37:31 and another way you can kind of figure
37:33 it out is you'll see the one two three
37:35 four
37:35 five of the pieces of glass there so
37:39 take the middle one one two three four
37:41 five of the small glass pieces and
37:44 there is a like a grate a railing
37:47 and that railing is still there you can
37:50 see it faintly there so just count
37:54 across and
37:54 look for the railing and when you watch
37:57 how it's all put together you'll see
37:58 a lot of traffic flowing by when they're
38:01 looking out of here
38:02 and then when it you know flashes over
38:04 to the other spot
38:05 not a lot of traffic kind of gives it
38:08 away in a way
38:10 if you have a a keen eye you'll notice
38:12 that
38:13 kind of gives it away those two
38:14 different spots also where the
38:17 principal's office was
38:19 hallway and quite a few others
38:33 smith grove
38:33 we've arrived saw a lot of different
38:36 seasons through here including
38:39 winter with some fake snow some rain
38:42 even there's even
38:46 one point when you see this hydrant here
38:49 and loomis walking in right
38:53 here and the sign
38:57 off in the distance shawn's walking the
38:59 path of loomis
39:01 check it out there's the hydrant
39:04 and the stanchions
39:22 he built a guard shack right there about
39:22 where he's walking
39:24 other side of the sidewalk in the grass
39:28 just about in this spot that's where the
39:31 news reporter
39:33 was doing his
39:43 nightly update
39:43 the sun is going down
40:00 boy that foliage has really grown up
40:00 over the years
40:08 in one of the deleted scenes when
40:08 michael
40:09 escapes it's right over there from a
40:11 door and there's an old van that says
40:13 time machine it was right from around
40:14 the
40:15 the back side of that it's interesting
40:17 that these vehicles have a lot of leaves
40:19 on this like they haven't been moved in
40:22 like a couple years
40:47 all the interviews took place on the
40:47 second floor of building
40:48 four which would have been right up
40:52 so anytime you see loomis talking to
40:54 michael and his mother
40:56 it would have been right there you can
40:58 see how they put the lights up
41:01 just to give a better environment inside
41:03 the room
41:07 also where clint howard is telling
41:09 loomis that
41:11 michael escaped was right there next to
41:13 those railings
41:20 he's out
41:20 drove about 20 25 miles north to castaic
41:25 you see the moon is out the sun is
41:28 starting to
41:28 descend nightfall is about to rear its
41:32 head
41:33 and this is a real beehive of activity
41:36 when it comes to trucks
41:43 can you guess it this is where the truck
41:43 wash is
41:58 the truck wash sign still there
41:58 i'm getting some serious vibes
42:02 of rush tom sawyer
42:09 oh it pulls right in there
42:09 that's it
42:33 would have pulled the big rig right into
42:37 joe grizzly would have got out of
42:41 his truck there were some workers in
42:44 here washing another one
42:46 and into that area makes it appear as if
42:50 he was going into
42:51 to utilize the facilities but then
42:55 intercut with over in south pasadena
43:14 in very close proximity is another spot
43:14 rabbit in red which is just on the other
43:17 side of the road
43:20 about 30 yards or so from each other now
43:23 you don't really see the exteriors
43:24 too much in reality it's called
43:29 country girl saloon
43:35 they had a painted mural on the side
43:35 over there where that tree is
43:38 like way on the far end i don't really
43:40 see it in this but this is
43:42 kind of a pickup shot they did when they
43:44 had finished the the truck wash scene
43:46 let's just change the entrance huh a
43:48 little bit they have the
43:50 the extended saloon door hey phone there
43:53 on the end
43:56 pretty much looks the same other than
43:59 see the pieces of wood there that are
44:02 that are kind of slanted or the same
44:05 even appears as if they use the signage
44:07 up top
44:08 where there are the three or four
44:10 glasses of brew
44:12 that was that was changed out but it is
44:15 it is the same and they just
44:16 put the lettering over the top of it
44:22 interiors were also filmed inside
44:25 no mural there
44:47 does look a lot different in here
44:47 used to be dollar bills on the side of
44:50 side of the wall but not really seeing
44:52 any of the map the stage would have been
44:54 kind of
44:54 set up right in here when she was
44:57 dancing
44:58 would be pretty neat if they just
45:00 started blasting a rendition of love
45:02 hurts
45:03 right about now and if you watch that
45:05 scene you'll notice this
45:06 air conditioner duct is still there
45:10 as well they put up props there
45:13 along that that wall and that's it
45:17 the final spot out of all of them
