0:02 for one reason or another I was inclined
0:02 to purchase this little pirate guy it's
0:06 an impulse buy
0:07 while I was fueling up the RV this store
0:12 just pulled me in to buy a knick-knack
0:16 welcome everyone Adam duh
0:19 go get your own coffee this is a non
0:21 pillage zone it's my second channel
0:26 daily walks out it's that's good this is
0:33 an interesting looking structures in the
0:35 shape of a letter and on the side of the
0:38 hill behind it is also the letter A a
0:41 lot of cows out here more cows than you
0:47 can shake a stick at you never want to
0:49 shake a stick at a cow they get very
0:53 angry if you take all 50 states in the
0:55 US and look at the ones that are least
0:58 populated the one I am currently
1:01 cruising westwardly through is number
1:04 one the least amount of people live here
1:07 than any other state I was reminded of
1:10 that fact yesterday when I was browsing
1:11 through the comments section not only do
1:13 I learn things by going out and doing
1:15 and seeing but also perusing what you
1:18 have to say kind of like a mutual
1:20 teamwork thing the landscape is not only
1:23 beautiful out here but very peaceful and
1:27 right at the threshold between Albin II
1:29 and carbon county is this little cabin
1:33 said to be the oldest in the world it
1:37 was given that name in 1938 by the one
1:40 and only Robert Ripley this structure is
1:43 made up of over 5,000 dinosaur bones
1:47 believe it or not there was a time when
1:51 it was the home of a tiny museum but
1:54 those days have passed now it sits
1:56 desolate and alone looking inside the
1:59 window relics of the past or at least of
2:03 the gift shop it's safe to say in a
2:06 storm this would probably hold up really
2:09 well and what is this supposed to be
2:12 so reproduction egg it was built in 1933
2:17 by a family who had a gas station on
2:20 this site and they wanted to draw
2:22 people's attention off the road and
2:25 spend some money roadside attractions
2:27 are fascinating in that sense it reminds
2:30 me of Cabazon in California for Claude
2:34 Bell built the dinosaurs to draw people
2:37 over to the diner next to this fallen
2:38 tree is an elevation marker and as I
2:43 continue across the premises the sign
2:47 has fallen saying the geological
2:50 location a petrified life at one point
2:54 there was something written on the side
2:57 of this ro ll s very difficult to make
3:03 out however could this have been where
3:05 the t-rex food was kept Universal gear
3:10 oh no lubricant never mind dinosaurs do
3:14 not eat lubricant it appears as if
3:18 someone has busted out the window you
3:23 can peer in sized artwork on the side of
3:25 the wall some renditions of that period
3:28 of time and some trinkets tucked away in
3:33 these cabinets
3:34 I'm not going to climb in I'm just
3:36 standing on this cinder block it's safe
3:39 to say the owners lived in that house
3:41 adjacent to the store and speaking of
3:44 how this here's the one they use the
3:47 facilities up they got the pieces to
3:54 build the cabin from Como bluff
3:56 nicknamed the dinosaur graveyard
3:58 one of the biggest conglomerations of
4:01 pieces anywhere in the world pretty
4:05 interesting stuff out here basically in
4:08 the middle of nowhere
4:10 I have always been interested in the
4:12 works and the finds of mr. Ripley but I
4:16 have to wonder did he stand in the same
4:18 spot I am did he come out here on his
4:21 own accord and see this with his own
4:24 eyes
4:26 or did he just name it from afar it's
4:28 not something that most likely is going
4:30 to happen but I can totally imagine a
4:32 brontosaurus just crossing this road I
4:36 could see it meandering across the
4:41 thoroughfare the next town over of
4:43 Medicine Bow prominently displays on the
4:46 bar sign a cowboy riding one of those
4:49 creatures and it looks as if a t-rex
4:52 completely destroyed this windmill
4:54 mangled and torn like nobody's business
4:57 I love these Pathak train add to the
5:01 ambiance the open road
5:04 wide angle addition listen to the sound
5:08 Shh don't say anything just listen
5:26 granted all you're hearing is the wind
5:26 coming through the open window once you
5:28 get the idea Shh continue listening
6:19 nails it back on the interstate now IAT
6:19 just past the sign is that Continental
6:21 Divide elevation 7,000 feet still
6:26 heading westbound for a good portion of
6:28 my life and never even consider the
6:30 thought traveling in an RV which makes
6:33 me wonder why one day own a boat too bad
6:37 there's no Wi-Fi on the ocean because
6:39 logging from the open sea and that would
6:42 be an adventure
6:42 a couple key points I noticed about this
6:44 area no cell phone service I have 80 so
6:47 if you have that same service provider
6:50 prepare to have no bars for multiple
6:54 hours on it that's what I'm dealing with
6:56 right now as well as the RV keeps
6:59 wanting to sway to and fro from lane to
7:02 Lane because the wind through these
7:04 planes is incredibly powerful and I had
7:07 the bright idea to roll the window down
7:10 for just a moment a mile or two back a
7:14 gust came through the window and I swear
7:17 it felt like someone slapped me in the
7:21 face like they punch me in the noggin I
7:24 don't know if I've ever experienced that
7:26 before it was impressive
7:30 Wow stick cracks tu-tu-tu-tu-tu-tu
7:50 protecting this trips been pretty
7:50 enjoyable so far I must say getting off
7:52 the grid if you will considerably
7:55 different than my new place in Southern
7:57 California but I am heading back to Los
8:00 Angeles make no bones about that can you
8:04 make bones bones are produced in a body
8:07 I guess you could make a buck you think
8:09 of like this this is not a real skull so
8:13 I guess you can make a bone to go along
8:16 with that I've been looking for a best
8:19 buy to buy some stuff not only for my
8:21 camera but also my laptop I have not
8:22 used my laptop this whole road trip
8:24 because I left my external keyboard
8:27 because I screwed up something a few
8:30 months ago on my macbook I have it with
8:33 me that I have been able to use it
8:34 because I do not bring that other
8:36 keyboard so I've been trying to find in
8:38 equipment store an electronic store or a
8:41 Best Buy and haven't found one I've even
8:45 seen Walmart's that's why this whole
8:46 I've been pretty much out in the middle
8:49 of no man's land it's been nice it's
8:55 definitely nice to get the fresh air at
8:57 the same time be nice to find a
9:00 Starbucks or Trader Joe's something of
9:04 that nature I like the best of both
9:06 worlds I like a healthy mix makes you
9:10 appreciate both sides I'll see you guys
9:13 tomorrow
9:13 vlog I don't know what that is vlog drum
