0:24 a reason for the things that I have

0:28 on I'm right outside Nashville Tennessee

0:31 a little north of there and right over

0:33 here judging by the song I'm sure you

0:35 can probably get the hints one of my

0:38 favorite singer songwriters of all time

0:41 used to live in a house right over that

0:44 brick wall on that property Mr Johnny

0:48 Cash lived right here I'm going to show

0:51 you where his house once was him and his

0:54 wife lived here for over three decades

0:57 almost three and a half decades they

1:00 lived right here on this property so I'm

1:02 going to give you a little tour around I

1:04 was going to jump over the fence and

1:06 show you some stuff but we have quite a

1:07 few signs warning us me and you together

1:11 vicariously not to go over the fence so

1:14 I'm probably not going to go over the

1:15 fence unless maybe the mood hits me

1:17 maybe the mood of Johnny Cash will

1:19 motivate me to jump over here and get

1:22 some pictures over there it looks like

1:23 some sort of a tennis court or maybe

1:26 some kind of a pool area but down there

1:28 is where the fantastic house used to sit

1:31 the house burned down a few years ago

1:34 sadly this is a pretty legendary

1:36 property for a legendary man right here

1:40 him and his wife June Carter Cash lived

1:48 here beautiful Lake over there I'm not

1:48 really sure the name of that Lake

1:50 there's also some pictures online that

1:52 you can see famous pictures of Johnny

1:54 Cash standing on that Lake right on the

1:57 edge of the water with the house and the

1:59 in the background it's a pretty awesome

2:00 picture you can Google it my hands are

2:03 freezing it is

2:04 freezing cold out here oh my gosh it is

2:07 so cold I do not know the temperature I

2:10 would tell you the temperature sir if I

2:11 knew the temperature but I do not know

2:13 what the temperature is all I do know is

2:15 this is the property of Johnny Cash look

2:19 at that there's a little Lighthouse

2:23 Lighthouse there's a flag

2:25 pole you just got to imagine Johnny Cash

2:28 coming out here when he was alive

2:30 and hoisting the flag up on that flag

2:32 pole walking the property maybe getting

2:41 written right here on this

2:49 property you can see my van right down

2:49 here I parked right in front of the

2:51 driveway by the old security

2:58 station so this is awesome hopefully we

3:28 nitty-gritty I really like this wall

3:30 here this rock wall of decor and

3:36 goodness check out this Moss this green

3:38 moss on the rocks and on the yard

3:51 here wow look at that that's awesome

3:51 remnants of his

4:04 there's the old garage he would have

4:04 pulled his car right down there parked

4:06 his car in his cars inside that garage

4:10 and of course walked up to his home

4:12 right up there now all there is is a

4:15 foundation a base but the base Still

4:18 Remains the roots are still strong even

4:20 though the house is gone very beautiful

4:22 out here the sun has just risen a couple

4:25 hours ago I don't even know what time it

4:28 is sun's been up for a couple hours you

4:29 see the leaves falling changing the

4:32 changing of the leaves and the changing

4:33 of the seasons but the remnant of the

4:36 house Still Remains which is awesome so

4:38 if you're ever in this area just Google

4:40 this address north of Nashville

4:44 Tennessee it's where Johnny Cash June

4:47 Carter Cash used to live it's a little

4:49 security office right

5:03 so they evidently still have someone

5:03 watching the property this property

5:05 protected by an armed look at this an

5:08 armed security guard 24 hours a day

5:12 there's someone out here 24 hours a day

5:14 with either a weapon of some sort they

5:16 were armed maybe they have cannons maybe

5:18 they have muscles or maybe they have a

5:19 real firearm weapon they don't want you

5:22 crusing around and perusing around

5:25 Johnny cashes old stomping grounds look

5:27 at this the mailbox is still

5:31 here the

5:40 mailbox that is so cool look at

5:40 this that's so

5:43 cool that's where Johnny Cash would have

5:45 got his

5:46 mail that is so

6:06 you can see the boat dock way over there

6:06 it's very bright and very sunny let me

6:10 the sun is not blaring in your eyes so

6:12 you can see a little bit

6:25 better can you see that hopefully you

6:25 can see that okay look at that that's

6:26 the foundation look at all those rocks

6:35 the house was made of rock and wood of

6:35 course in the fire the wood was burnt

6:37 down burnt to a crisp completely gone

6:40 but the rock Still Remains so you can

6:42 actually come out here and check out the

6:45 foundation what's

6:55 left pretty incredible

6:55 stuff it's kind of hard to describe how

6:58 I'm feeling right now a big John cash

7:00 fan just to think this is the historic

7:03 and the Fantastic house that he lived

7:06 at for all those

7:20 years someone's definitely keeping up

7:21 with the property you can see it's been

7:22 mowed it is very cold out here I'm sure

7:24 the grass is not growing this time of

7:26 year however it is manicured so people

7:29 are out here taking care of the

7:33 house at least the house property The

7:36 house's already been taken care of by

7:38 fire gives a whole new meaning to that

7:41 song I fell into a burning Ring of Fire

7:45 and it's taken down his house sadly but

7:49 you can't come out here and still check

7:50 out the remains of not only what once

7:54 was but what Still Remains still a

7:57 memory of the man and the life of the

7:59 man himself and his memories that were

8:02 developed right here at our memories

8:04 that are living vicariously to through

8:06 together look at this this looks like an

8:08 original

8:09 gate that looks like one of the original

8:11 Gates right

8:13 there you know I've I've lived

8:15 vicariously through a lot of people but

8:17 I've never actually lived vicariously

8:19 through Johnny Cash so I'm actually

8:21 pretty excited about that because I do

8:23 love Johnny Cash I'm not sure if you

8:25 guys like Johnny Cash but I really like

8:27 Johnny Cash what's your favorite Johnny

8:58 house where where Johnny Cash lived the

9:01 last few days of his life he became very

9:04 ill it was very hard for him to get

9:06 around I believe he was in a wheelchair

9:08 and he couldn't get around inside the

9:10 house cuz there's a lot of stairs so he

9:12 actually moved into this house right

9:14 here across the street before he passed

9:16 away and before he

9:30 died you you can actually see a little

9:30 guitar right there on the side of the

9:32 wall right

9:39 there look look at that right there it's

9:39 a newspaper they're getting news they're

9:41 getting some

9:43 news I'm delivering some news my news is

9:47 this this is the house that Johnny Cash

9:50 lived in just days before he passed away

9:54 you can see that sign right there see
