1:05 skyline of part of the Greater Los

1:09 Angeles area this is a fantastic

1:12 building that some people have mistaken

1:16 to actually be the exteriors of the

1:19 Ghostbusters the top of the

1:22 Ghostbusters hotel which actually was a

1:26 set and it was also filmed in New York

1:28 City even though the Interiors of the

1:31 Ghostbusters Firehouse are in downtown

1:34 Los Angeles some people do get confused

1:37 and think that the roof

1:39 scenes from Ghostbusters were filmed up

1:41 there but I don't think that is actually

1:43 true you might have a different opinion

1:44 on that we are talking about movies we

1:46 are not focusing on Ghostbusters today

1:49 we are focusing on a Christmas classic

1:52 because it is Christmas Eve's Eve it is

1:57 the day before Christmas Eve

2:00 and I thought I would show you guys what

2:03 this building what's the significance of

2:06 it and why we are here to document this

2:09 daily Vlog in front of this

2:12 fantastically built architectural

2:15 marville so let's actually cross the

2:18 street and if you guys actually want to

2:19 know where I am we are actually on the

2:21 corner of Virgil Road and Willshire also

2:26 on the corner of West mland Avenue new

2:30 so if you wanted to actually go on

2:32 satellite view and follow along at home

2:34 here on this Christmas Eve's Eve and you

2:37 can actually see this building on street

2:40 view and it's actually the Southwestern

2:43 Law School and they've actually deemed

2:46 this area the

2:48 Bullocks of Willshire and never mind the

2:52 Bullocks just like the sex P sex pistol

2:55 say because this Vlog is not about punk

2:58 bands

3:00 or movies that have to do with ghosts

3:04 and busting this is about what happened

3:08 inside those doors right over there did

3:11 you ever see the movie Christmas

3:14 Vacation excuse me with Chevy Chase

3:17 getting a little choked up because

3:18 Christmas vacation is one of my favorite

3:20 Christmas movies in fact it is probably

3:22 in my top 10 and probably in your top 10

3:25 as well remember the scene where Chevy

3:29 Chase is is going shopping with Rusty

3:31 they are in a department store and Clark

3:35 Griswald Chevy Chase's character is

3:37 looking in a glass case and a woman asks

3:40 if he needs any assistance and Clark

3:43 Griswald raises his head and realizes

3:45 that the woman is extremely attractive

3:49 and lots of sexual innuendos are slipped

3:52 in to his dialogue well that exact scene

3:56 was filmed inside those doors right

3:59 there

4:00 inside of this building right here on

4:04 the corner of West Morland Avenue and

4:09 Willshire and you can see they're doing

4:10 some construction all around and there

4:12 are a few things when you watch the

4:13 scene that you can actually tell that

4:16 this was the building now we cannot

4:17 actually get inside because the school

4:19 is closed and I have read some stuff

4:21 online that even when the school is open

4:23 they do not allow filming inside there

4:25 do they do not allow you to take

4:27 pictures inside of there but I want you

4:30 to notice go on YouTube and just look up

4:33 the scene just type in your National

4:37 Lampoons not European National Lampoon

4:39 Christmas Vacation store scene or

4:42 department store scene and watch all the

4:46 little things in the background when

4:47 Chevy Chase is talking to the woman one

4:49 of the things that you can actually see

4:51 is this window right here and I want you

4:53 to notice how this window how the

4:57 different style Windows do not go all

4:59 the way way across you can see how the

5:01 windows go halfway up and then all the

5:03 way up and the slats go across that way

5:06 and if you watch the actual scene you

5:08 can actually see that that is exactly

5:10 how it is in the movie so

5:13 basically right past this Christmas tree

5:16 you can see they've actually put a

5:17 Christmas tree up if you look inside

5:21 past those doors there is a Christmas

5:23 tree now right past that Christmas tree

5:26 there used to actually be an actual

5:28 department store this used to actually

5:30 be a real department store so past the

5:32 Christmas tree inside that school now

5:35 was where the glass case where the scene

5:37 actually happened and if you see where

5:39 Chevy Chase is standing if you watch

5:41 that YouTube clip you can actually see

5:44 these windows in the background see if

5:47 you can use your Columbo likee research

5:49 skills and find these windows in the

5:53 actual shot that I was actually talking

5:56 about and look at that look at those

5:57 carvings up there that is actually

6:00 really cool this building is super

6:02 fantastic especially from when you look

6:04 at it from this angle you get a little

6:05 bit dizzy because that is pretty epic

6:09 looking if you look at how awesome that

6:11 actually is how many stories is that 1 2

6:14 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 about 10 10 stories so

6:19 Bally about probably how many feet would

6:21 10 stories be if a story is 10 ft 10 *

6:24 10 would be 100 ft so let's look inside

6:27 of here you can actually see that

6:30 they've actually put some desks up and

6:32 some tables where people can do their

6:35 schoolwork this is a law school so P

6:37 people basically go to school here to

6:39 become lawyers and I guess things of

6:41 that nature what else do they teach at

6:43 law school I guess to be a lawyer I

6:45 don't know I guess could you be a

6:47 judge by going to law school I guess you

6:50 have to be a lawyer before you can be a

6:52 judge so I guess I'm not really sure

6:54 about the ins and outs of lawyer isms

6:56 but take a look at this place this

6:58 building super

7:01 fantastic and I love that I love that

7:03 scene it's the Christmas season it would

7:05 not be the Christmas season if any if

7:07 the stores weren't any more Hooter I

7:09 mean hotter than they are I was just

7:11 blousing I mean browsing all those lines

7:14 Chevy Chase was super hilarious back in

7:17 the day I miss old school Chevy Chase

7:20 all right guys so that's about it

7:23 here at the West Morland bus

7:27 stop I also wanted to bring something up

7:30 because it is the Christmas season some

7:32 areas of Los Angeles and other major

7:35 Metropolis cities are better than others

7:37 and this is not so bad but if you go a

7:40 couple blocks down the road there are

7:41 people who have fallen on hard times and

7:45 when you drive through neighborhoods

7:46 that

7:47 are kind of like that you kind of like

7:49 you roll your windows up you think like

7:51 man like I might be in danger but in

7:54 reality everyone is the same it's just

7:57 everyone is on a different social

7:59 platform or a different economical

8:01 platform maybe people have fallen on

8:04 hard times and I thought about that as I

8:06 drove up here just a couple blocks down

8:08 the road a lot of people like living in

8:10 cardboard boxes living in tents and it

8:13 really makes me thankful for my life and

8:15 you should be thankful too because just

8:17 the fact that you are watching this Vlog

8:19 or just the fact that you are on the

8:21 internet puts you on a higher level than

8:23 a lot of people we should be all

8:25 thankful the fact that we have what we

8:28 have in our lives we are

8:30 blessed and I don't know it just really

8:33 like kind of touches me when I see like

8:35 the way certain people have to survive

8:37 and have to live I kind of wish that the

8:40 world was not that way of course we all

8:42 do I kind of wish that I could do a lot

8:44 of things for a lot of people and there

8:46 was no people that were destitute or

8:48 hungry in the world so just be thankful

8:51 let's let's end this Christmas Vlog with

8:53 being thankful for the way the way our

8:56 lives are and I and also remember

8:59 remember that too when you're in an area

9:01 and you think this is a sketchy this is

9:03 a sketchy neighborhood it really isn't a

9:06 sketchy neighborhood well maybe it might

9:08 be but the majority of the time just

9:10 normal people that are on a different

9:13 Plateau or a different level than you or

9:16 I might be I didn't mean to get

9:18 sidetracked with that but just keep that

9:20 in mind on this Christmas holiday season

9:25 Christmas is only in two days hard to

9:26 believe Christmas is in two days today

9:29 is Christmas Eve's Eve and I thought I

10:27 down in Orange County a lot of people

10:28 think that is Los Angeles when in

10:30 reality it's probably about 20 to 25 mil

10:33 30 Mi depending on where you're going

10:35 either from I live pretty close to

10:37 Disneyland so driving up here in traffic

10:40 sometimes takes an hour and a half 2

10:42 hours today it wasn't too too bad took

10:45 probably about an hour to get up here

10:46 but if I was going to Burbank or to

10:47 Hollywood or take a little bit farther

10:49 but I love the fact that this many movie

10:51 locations are in this area that this

10:53 many is this thing working how many

10:55 times you got to push this thing to get

10:57 it going oh look at this

10:59 somebody stuck a sticker here it says

11:01 gundam style stole my frame freestyle

11:05 Marco someone says that gundam style

11:07 stole freestyle maros Fame but anyway

11:11 about Los Angeles I love Los Angeles I

11:14 love Southern California just because

11:17 the move the movie history and the

11:19 Hollywood history and the music history

11:22 Sunset Boulevard the Sunset Strip and

11:24 things like this look at that is awesome

11:30 that building right there look look at

11:33 that building that is absolutely

11:35 incredible architecture and look at

11:37 those windows up there there's two

11:40 drapes there's only two windows that

11:43 actually have drapes across the windows

11:46 you got to wonder what the importance of

11:48 those two windows on the fifth floor
