0:04 welcome everyone Adam the Woos
0:04 reflection Peppers ghost effect here as
0:07 the recording of this Sunday June the
0:10 23rd
0:12 2024 I am in
0:15 Pittsburgh
0:23 Pennsylvania and I'm walking over to
0:23 PNC
0:24 Park where the
0:27 Pirates have played for many years a
0:29 stadium have not been to In fact this
0:31 will be my 24th stadium that I have
0:35 attended over the last series of years
0:38 hoping to accomplish all 30 current
0:40 stadiums by the end of this
0:43 season me flip this
0:46 around and I'm inviting
0:49 you to join me I'm wearing an
0:52 appropriate hat I think a feather just
0:53 flew by or a piece of trash either
0:57 or also got to walk around downtown
1:00 Pittsburgh over the bridge the Roberto
1:02 Clemente bridge I believe it is called
1:05 named in honor one of the greatest
1:07 baseball players ever not only for the
1:09 Pirates but also in baseball and just
1:12 see what else I can do today got to go
1:13 to the game it is a 130 I believe first
1:16 pitch little after one first pitch now
1:20 the Rays not doing great but they have
1:22 been doing pretty good the last series
1:24 of games this road trip they're doing
1:26 pretty well
1:27 on but they're going up against
1:30 the Pirates Ace today so it should be
1:32 interesting inviting you to join me
1:34 shall you very impressive mural
1:38 here kind of like new school design
1:48 artwork this is the corner of
1:48 seh Avenue seh
1:57 Avenue you never know what goes down on
1:57 seev Avenue
2:04 yes I know it's 7th but yeah it's a
2:04 crack in the
2:05 sidewalk some sandbags here and they
2:09 were cones they were
2:13 drawn spray painted
2:16 cones I hope that's a cone and not
2:18 something else that I shouldn't be
2:19 showing it's old Marquee here at the
2:21 Harris
2:23 Theater evil does not exist it's such a
2:26 beautiful
2:27 day the weather is nice it has been hot
2:30 this is also the third game the rays are
2:32 playing against the Pirates the end of
2:35 the three- game series did not make the
2:37 first two traveling across country or
2:39 well through some midwest states but it
2:42 is a beautiful day in fact it is
2:44 overcast which I am not complaining
2:46 about a little some clouds in the sky
2:49 I'd rather not have the sun permeating
2:51 down upon myself the
2:55 evil so it's also supposed to rain later
2:58 so that's going to be it's going to
2:59 going to be interesting it might end up
3:02 being a rain delay which will kind of
3:04 add to the experience it's a day game
3:06 it's an early day game this is known as
3:08 the pen Liberty historic district it's
3:10 on the national register of historic
3:11 places you got to watch where you're
3:13 walking though do not step off here
3:15 because this is uh that cannot end well
3:18 for you right there they got the they
3:20 got the stanions and the partitions here
3:23 but yeah that right there would be bad
3:25 if you were just uh if you were looking
3:26 at your
3:28 phone and you weren't paying attention
3:30 as you're were
3:35 walking would not end well right here in
3:35 this spot is a little placard
3:37 designating The Sisters of Mercy they
3:39 founded in
3:41 1843 the sisters began to serve the
3:43 city's poor sick and
3:46 uneducated and then it spread the
3:48 Sisters of Mercy Convent spread across
3:51 the
3:59 us a little pressure washing over there
3:59 at that theater
4:01 there's also a Roosevelt here just like
4:03 there's a
4:04 Roosevelt Hollywood
4:10 Boulevard see see it right there spelled
4:10 down the side of the wall I believe that
4:13 this is an art
4:14 installation I is it's an
4:23 I I think those are eyes these are
4:23 definitely
4:25 eyes right here also very interesting
4:29 that the these are turned into seats so
4:31 you can sit here if you wanted to and
4:33 stare at the
4:35 fountain yeah these are
4:45 eyeballs all right went in on a little
4:45 little Duncan it's interesting some of
4:47 them call are called Dunkin Donuts and
4:50 some of them are just called Duncan but
4:54 it's just I guess now I'm kind of
4:55 starting to call it Duncan not dunking
4:57 but
4:58 Duncan they still have Donuts though but
5:00 they don't really refer to it as much
5:01 with the with the donuts in there it's
5:03 about 10 or 11 minutes after 10:
5:18 Square doing a
5:18 yoga session Market
5:27 Square Up street cleaner street cleaner
5:27 Zamboni coming through
5:33 street street cleaners
5:33 Zamboni coming
5:39 through coming
5:39 through Pittsburgh Public Works coming
5:44 through I recently rewatch Mary Poppins
5:47 and Saving Mr Banks and this has
5:48 definitely given me the Vibes Little
5:51 Sherman Brothers Feed the Birds moment
5:54 here this gentleman over here looks like
5:56 to be the one feeding the
5:58 birds T it's a bag oh that guy squirting
6:02 the water Bott over there
6:05 startled picking a Parks like Triangle
6:08 Park here is a little torn up ripped
6:12 up oh I can see the lights down there
6:16 through that Alleyway of the stadium all
6:18 right over on to 6th Street now where
6:22 the bridge is oh that's interesting the
6:23 six makes up the archway
6:27 almost kind of sort of in the design
6:30 maybe I'm just reading too heavily into
6:32 that but
6:34 yeah
6:36 Pittsburgh this is interesting check out
6:39 the Bley Sports Club it looks like a old
6:41 theater Marquee right there kind of a
6:44 skinny building wedged in next to the
6:46 pizza
6:48 place and these older apartment
6:51 buildings right there see the Marquee
6:52 that's interesting you get it actually
6:54 yeah it does look like it was an old
6:55 small
7:01 theater and the Renaissance Hotel kind
7:01 of looks theater esque also it's
7:04 supposed to be the Theater District
7:06 there's the Byam the biome Marquee
7:11 also okay this is interesting on game
7:13 days CU today is a game
7:16 day they block off the bridge itself to
7:19 traffic you can't drive over it only
7:22 bicycles or
7:24 walking so I can walk right down the
7:26 middle of the road
7:30 war on the
7:31 sidewalk this is the alagan
7:34 river yesterday one of the Pirates
7:36 players hit it into the river I was
7:38 listening to the radio driving yesterday
7:41 listening to the game it's only the
7:42 sixth time pirates player has knocked
7:45 one out of the ballpark without a bounce
7:48 and landed in the
7:50 river pir's doing pretty good this year
7:52 I guess also was talking to a guy that
7:55 was working at one of the restaurants
7:56 setting up tables he was wearing a
7:58 skiing shirt we're talking about the
8:00 pitcher for the Pirates today he's
8:02 pretty legendary
8:04 already even being as young as he is and
8:08 he said good luck today you're in your
8:10 team is in for a rude awakening against
8:12 SK so it' be interesting to to watch him
8:14 up close and personal again this will be
8:16 Stadium number 94 that I been to while
8:19 rooting for the Tampa Bay Rays only
8:20 counting stadiums that the rays are
8:22 playing in that I attend and I've heard
8:26 from many people that this is their
8:27 favorite ballpark but I've also heard
8:31 that the ballpark is not the best
8:33 ballpark but the view is the best either
8:39 way I am looking forward to it so first
8:43 pitch when first pitch happens before
8:45 that I'm going to go to the very very
8:46 top and get a get a view and then after
8:47 that sit behind raise Dugout even from
8:49 down here on the bridge even not high up
8:52 there in the stadium The View already
8:54 looks pretty freaking awesome look at
8:56 that over there the
8:57 skyline AC cross the
9:01 river yeah I can definitely see the
9:05 appeal of a nice Skyline when you're
9:07 watching a
9:08 game I'm already feeling I'm already
9:10 feeling those Pittsburgh
9:13 Vibes got I got plenty of time though so
9:15 I'm going to walk around on this side of
9:16 the river
9:17 also happy to be here erected in 27 and
9:21 28
9:34 beautiful all the bridges through here
9:34 are
9:50 yellow I also looked into doing a tour
9:50 there are no tours today of the stadium
9:52 so sat Trum boat on that one there's the
9:54 man himself at the base of the bridge
9:56 named after him originally the Bridge
10:00 was before he took the namesake of it
10:03 the first time I ever heard of Roberto
10:04 CL got really into baseball in the mid
10:08 80s he had all the baseball cards I had
10:11 the 1987 wood grain tops I had the 1988
10:14 I had the 89 Ken Griffey Jr Upper Deck
10:17 when Upper Deck came out at 89 so I
10:19 would say mid to late 80s I got really
10:21 into baseball but at 85 we started
10:23 renting movies from the video store we
10:25 got our first VCR as a family I was 11
10:27 years old and I got my first first
10:29 sports VHS video that had highlights on
10:33 it and they highlighted Roberto Clemente
10:36 they talked about Roberto Clemente in
10:38 that I've remember thinking who the heck
10:40 is this guy he's pretty dang good and I
10:42 always since then that was my first
10:44 introduction to the great one it even
10:46 says it right there it also shows that
10:49 in 72 that was 2 years prior to I was
10:52 even born he passed away in a plane
10:55 crash off the coast of Puerto Rico then
10:57 the next year in 73 three again a year
11:01 before I was born he was inducted in the
11:03 Baseball Hall of Fame the series is all
11:05 tied up one and one again this is game
11:07 three so whoever wins this one wins the
11:09 series and it'd be kind of nice if the
11:12 Rays pulled out a win against the
11:15 Pirates top Ace here's a sculpture of
11:18 the guys building the
11:24 bridges obscured by the tree in that
11:24 pole and that explains why they blocked
11:26 off the bridge in this road because they
11:27 do a big Street party for the games over
11:30 here at least today the name of this
11:31 street well the name of this alley right
11:36 here also before I show that interesting
11:39 artwork over here well not artwork but
11:41 sculpture over
11:43 there there's two figures hugging here
11:48 on the corner of Vulcan
11:58 way my favorite Star Trek quotes are you
11:58 out of your Vulcan
12:00 mind all right that is the Andy Warhol
12:03 Museum right
12:05 there I have never been in there before
12:07 I think I might go in I got a little
12:08 time before the
12:15 game all right the price of AD mission
12:15 was
12:16 $25 I didn't realize there are seven
12:19 stories to this building well I went up
12:21 to the seventh floor to begin seventh
12:24 floor work your way down starts with the
12:25 beginning of his life
12:32 Andrew
12:32 warhola ah interesting it's actually
12:36 warhola he must have morphed it to
12:38 Warhol this is a window decoration he
12:40 did in the late 50s in New York City
12:43 it's a it's a recreation
12:47 but pretty interesting here some of his
12:49 early
12:50 work it was in the window of a shopping
12:53 of a shopping
13:08 it's also interesting how we took normal
13:08 products and just turned them into
13:09 artwork like
13:11 Listerine
13:17 65 the
13:17 Elvis the progression of
13:25 Elvis there's Elizabeth young Elizabeth
13:25 Taylor and
13:39 rbe all right this stool and trunk were
13:39 from Andy's silver
13:42 Factory right little glass cases now
14:30 no the body build then you also have
14:30 Jesus in
15:21 this is a mounted great day called
15:21 Cecil by Andy so it wasn't Andy's Dog
15:26 but he got it at an antique shop and he
15:28 had it for many years he named it Cecil
15:30 cuz it
15:32 evidently rumor was was
15:34 owned by Cecil B deell famous
15:38 director it's a little bizarre have yeah
15:41 stuffed dog he's also a collector of
15:43 unusual dish wear and paper weights and
15:46 items like that this is some of his
15:47 personal collection
16:17 so all of these pop figures here were
16:18 all down in
16:26 81 can't imagine what the Mickey would
16:26 go for an
16:27 original done by
16:36 War all right that was pretty awesome
16:36 it's a place I've wanted to go for a
16:39 while street cleaning
16:42 Zamboni don't have a lot of room
16:44 obviously they grab a lot of stuff CU
16:46 I'm going to the game but I get get a
16:48 magnet here that I put in my
16:50 pocket self-portrait known as also over
16:54 at the parking area notice the little
16:55 Brillo pad over in the parking section
16:58 over there
17:13 also nice little ghost side up there the
17:13 wording Bleeding Through the the old
17:15 paint side of the
17:23 brick and there is hanis Wagner if I
17:23 remember correct hanis Wagner has the
17:25 most valuable base baseball card or at
17:27 least it used to be remember the old
17:29 Haus Wagner car was like one of the most
17:31 valuable baseball cards at least back
17:32 when I used to collect them heavily in
17:34 the late ' 80s early 90s all right there
17:36 is a fountain area right here there are
17:39 a bunch of geese there's the skyline
17:42 have a riverbat going down the river
17:44 over there got some people out in some
17:46 canoes well I guess they'd be kayaks
17:49 also didn't realize they have an inclin
17:51 railroad over there as well so just a
17:55 lot of lot of beehive of activity if you
17:58 will or a goose fill day of activity out
18:01 here along the river right there great
18:04 cruises great memories that going by off
18:07 in the distance that's the bridge I
18:09 walked across right over there people
18:10 riding their bikes down the river it's
18:12 just a nice overcast day with some
18:15 precipitation in the forecast wa that is
18:18 a freaking geyser over
18:26 there is that
18:26 a busted fire hydrant they just turned
18:29 on that is a some serious geyser action
18:33 also at the base of
18:36 the a little
18:38 vertical elevator whatever you want to
18:40 call that thing reminds me of Angel's
18:42 flight in La there's also one in debuk
18:45 Iowa that I went on
18:47 recently inclin railroad if you will
18:50 train going
18:52 by there goes the
18:55 riverbat they're probably all Amazed by
18:57 that geyser of water just going up in
19:00 the air what the heck's going on over
19:03 there you know when I think of this area
19:04 when I think of Pittsburgh I think of a
19:05 few different things that come to my
19:07 mind George Romero films obviously all
19:10 those classic horror was based out of
19:12 this area and then the Andy Warhol
19:14 Museum which I had never been to I
19:15 finally got to do that and then also of
19:17 course Mr Rogers which I have
19:21 extensively covered a few five six years
19:23 ago but I wanted to go back over here
19:25 and take a look at the at the sculpture
19:27 over here of Mr Rogers up on this little
19:30 little balcony now he's located right
19:32 over there kind of through the the
19:34 keyhole if you will or the eye hole the
19:36 view of the bridge off in the distance
19:39 and this was here I think when I was
19:40 here five or six years ago I think they
19:42 had just placed it here a few years
19:43 prior so it's been here for a while but
19:45 it has it it's kind of a unique design
19:49 of it of the design that is on his body
19:52 it's kind of it's not like a smooth
19:54 texture or anything like that it's very
19:56 nons smooth and kind of lumpy fact I
19:59 think that's kind of the nickname that
20:01 people have given it the lumpy Mr Rogers
20:04 but he just overlooking the the river
20:06 here overlooking the bridge got to love
20:09 some Mr
20:10 Rogers he's one of the few people you
20:12 think about few people that are out
20:14 there that really has
20:16 a 100% positive by everyone who mentions
20:21 him I'm sure there's one or two people
20:22 who have something negative to say but
20:24 there are few and far between you will
20:26 not hear anybody say a negative word
20:28 about this man and I I can't think of
20:32 anything just a just a legend just a
20:34 true legend got some other Hall of
20:36 Famers right here along the river I'm
20:38 going to start heading into the stadium
20:40 momentarily yeah again yesterday someone
20:43 launched someone from the Pirates launch
20:45 one over the Outfield wall and into the
20:48 river with no bounce boom right in the
20:50 river all right made it over to the base
20:52 of these stairs with all the different
20:54 Pirates numbers going to walk up the
20:55 staircase up by the Clemente sculpture
20:59 and head into the stadium all right I've
21:01 gone through the checkpoint scan my
21:03 ticket and now I think I'm going to go
21:04 up to the top there so I can get that
21:06 view again I am sitting down behind raay
21:08 Dugout so the view will be better way up
21:10 high but since is the only game I'm
21:12 going to and I traveled so far
21:15 definitely want to sit close to the
21:16 players and get close to the action but
21:18 you want to get that view uh you can see
21:19 a lot of people either walking in or
21:21 driving in trying to find parking you
21:23 can see the freeway or the thare going
21:25 by as well and I ended up going up to
21:28 the top deck and looked at a couple
21:29 different perspectives over toward down
21:32 the first Bas line center field he went
21:36 down the third Baseline to the far left
21:38 field foul pole area it kind of got a
21:41 view from the upper deck I didn't go all
21:43 the way to the top of the upper deck but
21:44 I got to the first few rows of the upper
21:46 deck so I pretty much got that scenic
21:48 view and I definitely can see where
21:50 people say that this is one of the best
21:52 views in baseball I don't know if it's
21:54 the best stadium in baseball definitely
21:56 not modernized by any stretch of
21:58 imagination and there's there just a few
22:00 little quirks to it that make it
22:02 definitely unique and its own but I
22:05 would say the view is probably the best
22:07 view at a MLB Major League Baseball Park
22:11 that I've ever seen just incredible
22:13 across the water and the bridge and the
22:16 the the downtown Skyline and all that
22:18 just just freaking awesome it's going to
22:20 be it's going to be a good day walking
22:22 back down now down this little circular
22:24 pattern you got to kind of hold on to
22:25 your hats because there's a little
22:26 circular wind in here a breezeway
22:29 best remove them you have to like grab
22:30 on grab onto your hat because if not it
22:32 might go tumbling over might go tumbling
22:35 over the side got to watch your hat in
22:37 the wind I'm going to be sitting over on
22:39 that direction on the first base side
22:42 starting to fill up quite a bit so it's
22:44 basically a sea of yellow in here I have
22:47 seen a few a few raised hats in jerseys
22:49 though not many maybe a couple dozen
22:52 total there's definitely a sea of yellow
22:54 will be in here over this little Bridge
22:56 you can look in where people are walking
22:57 in but there's also some memorabilia in
23:00 here the memorabilia
23:03 experience inside here as well this must
23:06 be there is that Terry
23:09 Bradshaw that that's Terry Bradshaw
23:12 right there football great now a
23:14 commentator football commentator oh here
23:17 we go Forbes field lockers Three River
23:20 stadiums lockers former there's
23:23 PNC Park Locker right here as well
23:27 opening day
23:28 2001 base down there this is pretty cool
23:31 I always like these this style of the
23:33 Pirates cap that retro looking one right
23:36 here and this is evidently Bob Prince
23:40 Sports Caster's uh coat right here
23:42 sports coat right there look how far
23:46 baseball gloves and mitts have
23:47 progressed since the olden days even the
23:50 cleats here and there's a bat from 1915
23:54 Fred Clark's bat made between 1900 and
23:57 1915
23:59 that's when it was made all right here
24:01 it goes first pitch will be by 24
24:03 Stadium CM the Rays up against one of
24:07 the hotest pitches in baseball right now
24:10 my
24:14 goodness
24:14 oh oh your first freaking pitch first
24:18 pitch
24:20 yandi you got to be kidding me
24:35 that let's go
24:35 y heck
24:42 yeah first pitch of the
24:42 game against
24:52 this dang it get out get
24:52 out oh he dropped it oh man
25:05 W oh here we
25:05 go here we go
25:12 again least is not a weird bear with
25:12 small hand small human hands it's a
25:15 parent get a
25:25 hit also noticing they haven't referred
25:26 to the team as the Pirates once to
25:28 they keep saying the bucks or the
25:38 buckos
25:38 yes all right there's a random bag on
25:42 field random bag floating across the D
26:00 that was a home run by the Pirates
26:00 that's now one to one I mean the jerseys
26:03 say the Pirates but every time they
26:05 referred to speaking
26:07 wise announcer wise are on the big
26:10 screen they call in the
26:12 bux yeah was able to witness a perogi
26:15 race seen a lot of races at games but
26:17 I've never seen perogi race around the
26:19 warning
26:20 track pretty cool not something you get
26:23 to see too often and I got to see it
26:25 today here at PNC Park
26:30 the announcer even said it was the best
26:31 ballpark in
26:33 America it's a great
26:35 view definitely a great and you got
