0:19 had at his home near Los Angeles

0:21 California and it actually was relocated

0:24 and now it sits right here accessible

0:37 happens that today here on this Sunday

0:40 it is the day that we can actually

0:43 access and wander the grounds of Waltz

0:48 barn and the interesting thing is Waltz

0:51 Barn originally the real Waltz Barn was

0:53 in Marceline Missouri where he grew up

0:55 as a child and you can actually go back

0:57 and watch a vlog that I did from there

1:00 two maybe even 2 and 1/2 years ago if

1:08 Waltz Barn in Marceline Missouri and

1:10 look there is a train actually going by

1:15 a miniature train and do not quote me on

1:18 this but I think the train tracks that

1:19 are out here at Griffith Park I think

1:22 these were actually owned by Walt Disney

1:24 as well and they actually transferred

1:26 them from his home outside of Los

1:28 Angeles to Griffith Park and you can see

1:31 there is a miniature train approaching

1:33 us which I think is a 1/8 scale or maybe

1:37 a6th scale like I said do not quote me

1:41 on this I am not a self-proclaimed

1:43 afficionado like Walt Disney was of

1:46 trains but that is a scale version of a

1:50 real train and they actually escort you

1:53 around the park look at that that is

1:56 absolutely

1:58 amazing

2:10 have you ever seen the movie The Jerk

2:10 starring Steve Martin this was actually

2:12 one of the filming locations from The

2:14 Jerk when Steve Martin first meets

2:17 bernardet Peters and is chasing the

2:19 child that she is babysitting you can

2:21 actually see some of this in that movie

2:23 so that's a NE neat little pop culture

2:25 tidbit as well but I want to show you

2:28 the inside and the outside of Walt's

2:31 Barn he actually worked inside this barn

2:35 and there is a lot of Walt disy history

2:37 and a lot of items that he actually used

2:40 himself inside the bar you can see Madam

2:42 the woo and Jay are here as well they're

2:44 actually going inside the barn and here

2:47 is actually a placard that they actually

2:49 when celebrating 50 years in 1999 the

2:53 Carol Wood Pacific carolwood Barn here

2:57 in Griffith Park so let's let's go in

3:38 Train the picture of the EP Ripley that

3:41 Walt rode in on opening day in

3:49 1955 wal was a big fan of trains

3:49 miniature trains and of course two or

3:51 three years before Disneyland came to

3:53 fruition he had the trains at his home

3:55 in La and then he decided to take those

3:57 miniature trains and make a even bigger

4:00 train that went around the circumference

4:02 of Disneyland of course Walt Disney

4:04 World has actually taken that idea as

4:06 well so that actually all kind of

4:08 started right here in Walt's train Barn

4:12 there's actually so much to look at you

4:14 can't really you honestly can't even

4:17 really put all of this in a vlog there

4:20 is mon over there which actually kind of

4:23 stem from the idea of trying there's

4:26 Richard nion up there with his family

4:28 and lost

4:38 all the Santa Fe railroad hats

4:38 Disneyland emblems on there Disneyland

4:52 railroad that's awesome right there that

4:57 Walt and Mickey that is when you walk

4:58 into Disneyland or Walt Disney World you

5:19 Train number one of the rainbow caverns

5:22 and subsequently mind trained through

5:24 Nature's Wonderland attraction which no

5:26 longer exists and some of the remnants

5:29 of that probably going to be soon even

5:31 removed even more once Star Wars land

5:33 starts to make its way into Disneyland

5:35 this is definitely a fantastic

5:38 Relic here at wal's Barn so just think

5:41 about this you're saying wal's workbench

5:43 is in here somewhere where is

5:46 wal it's right over here Walt's actual

5:49 workbench that he actually Bloods Sweat

5:52 and Tears which P out upon is actually

5:55 right in front of us he has some of his

5:57 tools over here too that he used

7:18 wow 1999 W Kimble sent it twice so 1951

7:23 W Kimble dedicated this book wrote sign

7:26 that to Walt and then in 1999 reigned It

7:31 Disney Legend award over there oh yeah

7:33 check that check that out the Disney

7:35 Legend award over there in the

7:42 corner here is basically a map central

7:42 control track control of basically the

7:45 whole property that we are actually

7:46 standing on and look at those those are

7:48 the old train horns you can actually

7:50 make a train horn with your mouth that

7:53 is awesome of course here is Disneyland

7:57 and the train track that goes around

8:00 Disney Land as well this is awesome the

8:04 inside of wal's

8:06 bar look at this that was the

8:10 train so this was the train that was

8:13 that was at his house and I was saying

8:14 the train tracks out here do not quote

8:17 me on this but the train tracks that go

8:18 the perimeter of the property some of

8:21 them actually were removed from his

8:23 property taken from his property moved

8:26 here to Griffith Park as well as this

8:29 which if you look closely this right

8:32 there that you're looking at that's Walt

8:34 Barn that we're actually standing in at

8:37 this exact moment as it has been

8:39 transplanted from his former home to

8:42 Griffith Park which is right here look

8:44 at this oh by the way look at this

8:46 sticker I have a sticker right here

8:48 celebrating the fact that I am actually

8:50 here documenting this so there you

8:53 go Barn that is awesome and over here

8:57 you can actually look at this look at

8:59 this this child is actually blowing the

9:01 horn of the train whistle so basically

9:03 you pull that cord and the Train the

9:06 speed engine horn blows right

9:19 there that is awesome so if you pull on

9:19 that string that

9:22 horn will actually blow and emit steam

9:26 out of the top of it and look at these

9:28 These are

9:30 live this says live Steamers so these

9:33 are all the mechanisms that make the

9:35 engine actually go look at

9:43 that those are live

9:43 Steamers that is really cool so there

9:46 you go Walt's Barn here in Griffith Park

9:50 just outside of LA California and one

9:54 other thing I wanted to show you too

9:55 check out this this was actually one of

9:56 the original Passenger cars on opening

9:59 day when the EP Ripley pulled up in all

10:02 that famous footage that you see Walt in

10:04 the front of the EP Ripley blowing the

10:07 train horn welcoming all the guests that

10:08 are showing up 1955 opening day there

10:12 was the original engine and then there

10:15 was the car behind it which I can't

10:16 remember the name of the car that's

10:18 actually behind it there's a certain

10:20 name for it but behind that car was this

10:23 car there were four of these yellow

10:26 Santa Fe Disneyland railroad cars and

10:29 then and one of those actually now is

10:31 converted into what is now the Lily Bell

10:34 they have taken this and converted it

10:36 into the Lily Bell car which only a

10:39 handful of people have been lucky enough

10:41 to ride on on the back of one of the

10:43 trains that now runs around

10:46 Disneyland currently at Disneyland so

10:49 let's just take a look inside here take

10:51 a look in here you can see what the

10:54 original cars used to look like oral

10:58 there

11:00 very

11:01 cool so this place is really awesome

11:04 I've been wanting to come out here for a

11:05 while but it's only open one day a month

11:08 so it's only open 12 times a year it is

11:11 free to get in but you can leave a

11:12 donation we threw a $5 bill in a little
