TDW 1309 - When Someone Breaks Into Your Home

0:05 last day of the first month of 2016 it

0:09 has not been the greatest 2016 for me so

0:12 far so I'm thankful that this is the

0:14 last day of the first month because

0:16 tomorrow is not only a new day but also

0:18 a new month it's my second channel daily

0:21 Vlog channel it's the daily woo I want

0:22 to share with you something that

0:24 happened yesterday evening I got back

0:27 from Florida yesterday flew into LAX

0:30 took a

0:31 shuttle from the airport to Disneyland

0:33 hotel and then I took an Uber which was

0:35 very actually pretty good I was did the

0:36 Vlog yesterday about the Uber thing I

0:38 tried it out and it seems like it's

0:40 going to work pretty well this Vlog is

0:42 not about that situation however it's

0:45 about a situation that happened after I

0:46 got home where I took a nap and I slept

0:49 well for a few hours and then I as I got

0:52 up I was doing some work back in my

0:54 little office room in the back of the

0:56 homestead and I heard someone trying to

0:59 break in

1:01 to where I live it's definitely not a

1:04 fun feeling to know that someone is

1:07 trying to get into your private property

1:10 root around your stuff perhaps cause you

1:12 harm or steal what you have worked hard

1:14 to actually purchase and it happened

1:17 right inside of my front door and you

1:20 can see that I have to

1:27 replace part of the screen door and

1:27 right over here are the remnants of what

1:31 was torn off ripped out of the screen

1:34 you can see the little handle here you

1:36 can see the little knob that usually

1:38 opens the door and you can see the

1:41 screws one of the screws is actually

1:44 still fine you can see that screw is

1:47 fine but that screw has been broken off

1:50 the gentleman who broke

1:51 into the door last night it was a it was

1:55 a guy probably in his mid to late 20s he

1:58 broke this

2:00 and

2:01 basically basically what happened is I

2:03 was in the back room I thought someone

2:04 was trying to break in the in the window

2:06 I did not have the wear with all to grab

2:09 my camera and Periscope it or Vlog it

2:11 from inside there was no way in heck I

2:13 was exiting through this door because I

2:15 did not want him to assault me I didn't

2:17 know if he had a gun if he had a knife

2:18 he had anything like that but basically

2:21 he was trying to get in here first then

2:25 I heard this rumaging around of course

2:28 this was locked but I heard him trying

2:30 to get in like this just because there

2:33 is a welcome pad in front of someone's

2:36 door does not mean that everyone is

2:38 welcome to come in you must be a friend

2:41 of mine to try to get in side of the

2:44 door and then after he tried getting in

2:46 there he went over here and perched

2:49 himself right here he was squatting on

2:52 this and he was trying to bust in this

2:55 window rattling he was rattling that I

2:58 heard this noise

3:00 and I heard him trying to open that

3:03 window so basically let's go inside

3:12 now so basically the way it went down is

3:12 I was back in one of the back rooms I

3:15 had gotten up from a short nap very

3:16 tired very jet lagged for my trip been

3:19 gone for N9 days I was in the back

3:21 working on some stuff on my laptop

3:23 editing some stuff compiling some

3:25 footage and stuff and there's always

3:27 noises you always hear noises birds the

3:29 trees squirrels running across the roof

3:32 stuff like that that's normal noises and

3:34 then all of a sudden I heard what seemed

3:36 like glass breaking and I was like what

3:39 the heck is that so I came out of the

3:42 room and as I walked into this room I

3:46 looked out through the windows you can

3:48 see there are two glass windows on my

3:50 front door so as I approached from the

3:54 horror hallway as I walked down the

3:57 screen door which is all always closed

4:01 was opened and I knew right then that

4:04 something was a miss something was not

4:07 good judging on the noise the hollow

4:09 blue out there on the front porch and

4:12 the screen door being open I knew

4:14 someone that did not belong here someone

4:16 that was uninvited to my house was

4:20 outside of my doorstep so I leaned out

4:23 and I looked out the door and then I

4:26 noticed that at the front of the

4:29 property

4:30 there is actually a secured area that

4:32 you cannot get into that area was

4:35 completely opened and this made me even

4:37 more terrified cuz someone purposefully

4:40 opened that and came up here for

4:42 whatever motives they had deemed viable

4:45 to actually try to get in inside the

4:48 homestead so I'm walking up I look out I

4:52 don't see anyone in front of my vision

4:55 and I look over and remember the like

4:58 bench I just showed show you there was a

5:00 guy perched he was basically perched

5:03 like this like a cliche stereotypical

5:07 Prowler like it almost was like

5:08 something out of a movie and he was

5:10 trying to get the window open and I

5:13 didn't recognize this person have no

5:15 clue who he was and after I saw that the

5:18 door had been busted after I heard him

5:21 trying to break the window I went into a

5:24 fit of hulk-like rage let me tell you

5:28 because I did not know what to I should

5:30 have had my camera on this all happened

5:32 within a matter of probably 30 seconds

5:34 to a minute of me running out and seeing

5:36 all this happening I should have filmed

5:38 it I should have taken a photo of him

5:40 did not have enough time so basically

5:42 what I did is I started banging on my

5:45 door from the inside and I was actually

5:48 I was using a little bit of profanity I

5:50 was dropping the f bomb a couple times

5:52 speaking very loudly even though I stay

5:55 pretty much familyfriendly in these

5:57 Vlogs when you are in a situation like

5:59 that and you do not know if the person

6:01 on the other side of the window is about

6:02 to break the window and what they could

6:04 be holding see now that door is flopping

6:07 in the wind I'm a little paranoid now

6:08 I'm starting to get a little antsy so I

6:10 started screaming out the window at this

6:14 guy and then he sat there he didn't move

6:17 and that terrified me even more he was

6:19 just staring at the window and finally

6:21 he like kind of looks up at me through

6:24 this glass and I was like I'm calling

6:27 the police and I'm banging

6:29 on the door this guy I think soiled

6:33 himself I think he at that point was

6:35 more terrified than I was his response

6:38 was

6:40 why and then I'm serious he's like why

6:45 why you're asking me why I'm going to

6:47 call the police luckily I am not a

6:49 physically angry person or I probably

6:51 would have opened the door but like I

6:53 said if I opened the door I don't know

6:54 if he had a knife or he had some kind of

6:56 a weapon or a gun or something like that

6:58 so I ran back to the the room pulled

7:00 this phone that I'm doing these Vlogs

7:02 off the charger and I thought I'm going

7:04 to take a photo of this guy or I'm going

7:05 to start periscoping him live streaming

7:08 through the window by the time I got

7:11 back up he was gone I called the police

7:14 the police showed up they did a whole

7:16 thing out there asked me some questions

7:18 I told him what

7:19 happened what an evening wow this has

7:22 been a crazy 2016 I'm very thankful that

7:26 I was not hurt nothing was stolen all of

7:30 this stuff in here is just stuff if this

7:32 stuff went away life would go on I am

7:34 not a person who dwells on items of

7:37 things like that but when your personal

7:40 space and your in when your area where

7:42 you call home basically the pl place

7:44 that you come back to relax your

7:46 Fortress of Solitude to use a Superman

7:49 term is actually invaded it is a crazy

7:53 feeling it's a feeling that I really

7:55 have not had very often in my life if

7:58 you have ever had something like that

8:00 broken into you know exactly what I'm

8:03 talking about I really do not wish that

8:05 feeling look this was not dramatic in

8:08 the scale of dramatic things that could

8:10 have happened but just the small amount

8:12 of drama that went down here last night

8:15 really like stirs your brain up a little

8:18 bit and makes you like crazy and then

8:19 you have a hard time sleeping at night

8:21 thinking the person's going to come back

8:22 they're going to try to break back in so

8:24 what am I going to do now I'm thinking

8:26 about putting in either a security

8:28 system but I'm thinking about maybe not

8:31 the security system and just putting up

8:32 some cameras around the perimeter of the

8:36 home maybe even one inside and outside

8:38 on both sides of the place I have a

8:41 friend who actually like he has one at

8:43 his place and he was like recommending

8:46 some ideas of like just mounting them up

8:47 there and basically they record for 24

8:50 hours so if anything happens in that

8:52 24-hour period someone steals something

8:54 from your yard breaks in your house they

8:56 have no idea this little secret camera

8:57 is there filming them so I think this

9:00 week I'm actually going to try to

9:01 install one of those systems they're

9:03 pretty reasonably priced Mount them

9:05 around outside and if this would be

9:09 criminal comes back if it's you watching

9:12 if this would be criminal comes back we
