0:03 today's adventure begins on a very foggy
0:03 early morning as the recording of this
0:05 sunday december 5th
0:08 2021 the sun is rising
0:11 looking very golden
0:14 they say that nothing gold can stay
0:21 it's a fitting beginning
0:21 to this episode
0:24 this sunrise
0:26 beautiful
0:50 welcome everyone adam the woo here over
0:50 my shoulder downtown tulsa
0:53 oklahoma
0:56 and in this area are the filming
0:58 locations of the 1983 classic
1:02 the outsiders with an ensemble cast
1:06 if ever there was one back in 2012 i did
1:11 a filming location video of the spots
1:14 around town
1:15 and at that point the curtis home the
1:18 outsider's house was a private residence
1:21 and needed a little bit of work
1:23 it sat empty for quite some time and is
1:26 now
1:28 a museum
1:30 full of artifacts from the movie
1:33 and is open
1:35 for guests
1:37 to see with their own eyes
1:39 that's what i'm going to do i have
1:40 returned to tulsa
1:42 to document this experience
1:45 and see the outsider's house in all its
1:47 glory i'm inviting you to join me
1:51 shall you
2:10 right here on the street corner and they
2:10 have
2:11 changed their names in honor of the film
2:14 curtis brothers lane and outsiders way
2:24 and it's the same fence
2:24 yeah it's the same fence here with the
2:25 same bend and i'm happy to report the
2:27 the bend and the fence is still there
2:30 this is the same fence that patrick
2:32 swayze did a little handstand on
2:34 right here in the spot
2:36 right over here this this is pieces of
2:38 the original fountain from the park is a
2:40 couple blocks away
2:41 where that scene with
2:43 machia was
2:45 this is part of the original fountain
2:53 that's amazing i was wondering what
2:53 happened to happen to that
3:17 looks the same
3:17 obviously been restored on the inside
3:18 with the outside
3:20 looks identical some christmas lights up
3:22 because it is december
3:27 just can't get over this fence this
3:29 original fence it's still here
3:31 right there patrick swayze put his hands
3:33 right there stood a little stand up
3:36 flipped over
3:37 and all of them as they were heading
3:39 over to the park to the rumble
3:42 we're all right in here
3:44 getting
3:44 getting pumped getting hyped
3:47 heading over
3:49 there's an el camino parked out front
3:51 here too
3:57 and they have some no parking signs i
3:57 had to park
3:58 down the way just a little bit about a
3:59 block down the way
4:01 i would imagine this area fills up
4:03 the residents don't care to have parking
4:09 all the neighborhood
4:09 this is awesome this whole area
4:11 just feels like you're in the movie
4:13 still kind of getting ready but i'm
4:15 going to be able to go inside
4:17 shortly still got a few minutes
4:35 i was just informed that these pieces of
4:35 concrete that made up a fountain
4:37 are 500 pounds each
4:40 and it was no small task getting them
4:42 moved and where they had found them
4:47 back over to here they had to do up a
4:48 couple pieces at a time
4:50 and put a mattress in between the two
4:52 pieces
4:53 that way they didn't break them they
4:54 don't want them to break
4:57 that's incredible that's the fountain
4:59 right there
5:01 well pieces of the found
5:05 been rediscovered
5:14 no i did pass through here one time
5:14 since i did the filming locations in
5:15 2012 probably
5:17 five years ago or so and kind of peeked
5:20 in the window and it was all gutted out
5:23 but it's all been restored since then
5:25 i'm excited to get in there and you can
5:26 purchase tickets to do the chore
5:29 inside the house
5:31 this is looking from the back of the
5:33 property
5:34 around but this washboard designates
5:38 tickets are available in the gift shop
5:40 there
5:41 you were in the movie you said yes
5:45 if i were to watch it back where would i
5:46 see you in the film uh
5:48 it's
5:49 the key element is i think it's about
5:52 the second scene
5:53 and they start the song warrior okay and
5:57 it's a uh knife fight okay in it and
6:02 are you wielding a knife
6:04 there's no self-respecting greaser that
6:07 never takes his knife anywhere and i
6:10 actually uh in in one
6:12 i went to grab it like that but uh
6:15 the scene that i think was kept
6:18 uh
6:19 i was just
6:21 getting ready to rumble excellent i'm
6:23 gonna watch your back and look for you
6:24 yeah it's there that's awesome
6:27 and you volunteer here yes i do
6:33 so do you use the the bus over here to
6:33 do like the location tour
6:35 we used to use that for the location
6:36 tours but
6:38 we kind of put a wash on it okay
6:40 i remember a while back you would you
6:42 couldn't just pull up this is a few few
6:43 years ago you couldn't just pull up to
6:45 the house and go in the museum you had
6:47 to go into town and buy a ticket and
6:49 then get on the bus and come over here
6:51 yeah and then it was taking all the
6:52 locations is that because of the parking
6:54 and stuff there we built the parking lot
6:57 okay
7:02 but you don't do the location tours
7:02 anymore yeah just the tour of the house
7:04 all right
7:06 i'm gonna have mike give you the tour
7:09 oh so this is the cake where he was
7:10 sitting
7:11 yeah sitting right over here we got a
7:13 little white dot
7:14 so you can kind of match it up match it
7:17 up and do the whole
7:19 scene right here
7:21 you can tell right here this is what we
7:23 you know the only thing we kept
7:25 oh let's do it
7:27 so we kept the living room and dining
7:28 room floors these are the original
7:31 uh everything else we tore down to the
7:33 bones
7:35 well as you can see this picture right
7:36 here that's dating another bathroom
7:38 right here oh yeah so
7:45 it's um you see the entire house we had
7:45 to go yeah probably four or five years
7:47 ago i i came by here and i peeked in the
7:49 window and not nothing was done yet and
7:51 it looked like that
7:52 oh yeah yeah we came in here and we
7:56 tore it all out ourselves and rebuilt it
7:58 all ourselves before we opened it looks
8:00 great
8:08 this is amazing
8:08 here's the bathroom and these are all
8:10 screen used outfits from yeah all the
8:13 wardrobe's original
8:15 hasn't been washed
8:19 like
8:19 cruises rumble outfits still covered in
8:21 mud no way in lane skirt still has the
8:24 coke stain where's tom cruise's outfit
8:26 oh that's right here oh that's so cool
8:38 you got both of emilio's shirts oh the
8:38 mickey shirt oh yeah with the stains on
8:41 and everything there's his jeans we just
8:42 got in so we got a those are amelia it
8:45 was a 28-28 by the way
8:48 holy cow that's tiny
8:56 you've got
8:56 cruises right here
8:58 and he hasn't been watching see warning
9:01 wow
9:05 that's what he's wearing when they all
9:05 run out the front door into the street
9:07 corner and all that he pretty much put
9:09 the same outfit
9:11 the entire
9:12 time this is great how you have all the
9:15 photos to match it all up hey mike
9:22 those are the tracks right over there
9:23 right a couple blocks away yeah
9:27 it's good
9:45 i just let it all roll and i love the
9:45 fact that you can hear the train horn
9:48 off in the distance
9:59 and
10:04 so both the gentlemen up on the porch
10:04 were both in the film which is pretty
10:06 awesome
10:06 if this guy gets to talking a little
10:09 behind
10:10 a little behind the scenes and any fun
10:12 stories from the film well basically um
10:15 i was uh i got a screen test for the
10:18 movie the outsiders because my forte
10:22 was i cut my teeth on stage
10:25 shakespearean actor okay and i was
10:28 recognized somewhat and uh i believe
10:31 that with zeo troop joey no zeo troop
10:34 the first outsider
10:35 yeah uh
10:37 had a casting director approach me and i
10:40 was taking a nap on the couch in the
10:42 green room
10:44 get away from me leave me alone
10:47 and she come in and says hey i'd like to
10:49 uh talk to you tomorrow morning and
10:52 because before i did shakespeare i was
10:55 with a rock and roll group called eddie
10:57 in the eclectic sector were you in that
11:13 director actually noticed me in the show
11:15 because i always agree certainly yeah
11:17 whoever jack didn't know that and
11:20 uh i got in the movie
11:23 but me and joe we go back yeah
11:31 okay and you took a lot of photos
11:31 you took a lot of photos a lot of behind
11:33 the scenes stuff that you have inside
11:37 that's right
12:04 i think that actually was in the movie
12:04 yeah did you know when you were taking
12:06 all the pictures that you had a very big
12:08 piece of cinematic history left over
12:16 thankfully you did i'll go in and look
12:16 at those in a minute
12:17 what was your name again
12:20 joe nice to meet you grew up in this
12:21 neighborhood you grew up in this
12:22 neighborhood excellent thanks jeff
12:25 lifted the back
12:27 up but then to do all that we had to rip
12:29 it down to the bones so inside this is
12:31 really a flip the house like those tv
12:33 shows you see it's going to be plumbing
12:35 new electric new insulation uh if you
12:37 look above you we have recessed light
12:39 central heat and air we played the
12:40 soundtrack of the reason why i came to
12:42 the movie out throughout the whole house
12:45 uh we had to replace the front door make
12:47 a custom door because they've been
12:48 changed out we have to have exit signs
12:50 front and back we
12:51 detectors and we have cameras in every
12:53 room because all the clothes in here
12:55 which they call wardrobe was actually
12:56 one right actor or an expert in the
12:58 movie
12:59 uh we put the walls back together mud
13:01 tape sheet rocket painted at this
13:03 ceiling color
13:05 throughout the whole house
13:06 and then came back in with the dvd
13:08 player and the tv and actually watched
13:10 the movie and tried to figure out the
13:12 five rooms that you see here
13:15 how to make them look the most like they
13:16 were in the movie so this room was the
13:17 toughest because
13:19 different camera angles day scenes night
13:21 seeds door open window blocks you'll see
13:24 the water marks from the fountain
13:27 from the scene with the fountain you see
13:29 the stains from the water there and
13:31 here's that photograph of swayze
13:33 standing up on the
13:34 on the fence that's the same thing
13:35 that's out there and different areas
13:37 that look different uh
13:40 kind of tar focus
13:42 uh through there this wall here was
13:45 wallpaper that's back in too almost 40
13:47 years ago so
13:49 there's no way to find all right
13:56 i do videos for youtube
13:56 so i just kind of travel around the
13:57 country and
13:58 film things
14:00 a lot of movie history and theme park
14:02 stuff and americana route 66.
14:05 just a lot of different stuff so we've
14:07 replaced the
14:08 uh cabinets they've been uh taking out
14:11 but then we'll take that room uh you can
14:13 have a piece of pots air fryer microwave
14:16 you cooked in trees
14:19 right so it's floured walls
14:26 did you know that you guys have seen
14:26 this week before when robot gets out of
14:28 the shower
14:43 now they usually have the soundtrack
14:43 playing through here
14:44 and i asked if they would be kind enough
14:46 just to turn it down
14:48 so that i could film through here
14:49 because sometimes music
14:51 doesn't go too well on the platform
14:53 obviously
14:54 but they usually do have it themed with
14:56 the music that they were nice enough to
14:58 turn it off just for a few moments just
15:00 so i could kind of
15:01 get the get these
15:03 these angles here
15:08 oh look at that there's the window there
15:11 he's sitting there riding
15:13 there's the window
15:15 they've gone to very great detail even
15:18 putting the pencil sharpener
15:24 shown there
15:24 very very detailed
15:30 i love this kind of stuff
15:30 i've always wanted to own you know it's
15:32 kind of always been like a pipe dream
15:34 but
15:35 bucket list would be to own
15:37 own a home from one of my favorite films
15:39 so this is
15:40 this is pretty dang awesome
15:47 and top-notch recreation of
15:47 of everything i'm impressed
16:06 i'm also really happy to see there's a
16:06 pretty good turnout of people in here
16:19 you might remember him from the earnest
16:19 films
16:20 to jim varney movies ernest saves
16:21 christmas ernest goes to camp i believe
16:24 he was a
16:25 tulsa resident who's also in the
16:26 outsiders
16:47 oh wow this is the
16:47 this is the sign here the 11th street
16:49 cleaner sign
16:51 okay from what i recall when i was here
16:53 back in 2012
16:55 these buildings
16:57 were torn down i think this whole block
16:59 is gone now where they're walking up the
17:02 slight incline of the hill
17:04 but the 11th street cleaners sign which
17:07 can be seen there
17:09 they have acquired that also
17:45 is
17:56 this is well worth stopping off at
17:56 if you're in the tulsa area
17:58 or even making me pilgrimage
18:00 if you're a fan of the movie
18:02 which i am
18:24 you know what really gets me i kind of
18:24 mentioned this a moment ago
18:25 but the fact that they have emilia's
18:28 mickey shirts oh my gosh i wear a lot of
18:31 mickey shirts
18:33 so i can kind of relate
18:35 both of emilio shirts
18:37 the one here
18:39 where he's in the living room or at
18:40 least in the front room there
18:43 which is shown there
18:48 and then this one here that's where he's
18:48 got the
18:49 he's got the knife
18:56 awesome okay so the movie was shot uh
18:56 march april 9 you see the clapper board
18:57 there where they go action yeah and cut
19:00 uh and they shot this movie sequentially
19:02 with the uh script so it started in
19:05 march i think around uh
19:07 uh st patrick's day
19:09 uh and so you see the last date on that
19:11 march i'm sorry may 29th 1982.
19:15 people have really enjoyed working in
19:17 tulsa uh over by the park about two
19:20 blocks away he'd rented lowell
19:21 elementary it was a uh defunct
19:24 elementary school
19:26 that they're using for their tulsa
19:27 studios so instead of classrooms they
19:29 turn those into offices
19:31 uh accounting
19:33 wardrobe and so in the gymnasium is
19:36 where they practiced the rumble did
19:38 prosthetics and things like that but he
19:41 really enjoyed uh working with susie and
19:43 said hey then she got a couple more
19:45 books he read i guess uh rumblefish they
19:48 agreed to do that black and white
19:50 downtown
19:51 so uh he uh took off about a couple
19:54 weeks
19:55 in june came back in july and august
19:57 started doing production on rumblefish
19:59 so it was really really close proximity
20:01 to the yeah just right after it's very
20:03 very rare you go for one production to
20:06 the next but of course they already had
20:08 everything here
20:10 they uh had used some of the same extras
20:13 uh you know brought people back
20:16 pretty much gave everybody a two-two
20:18 week as some of the people got a month
20:19 break he came back but during the film
20:21 of that downtown
20:23 uh one of the night scenes uh there was
20:25 guy you know homeless uh gentlemen you
20:27 know hanging around not bothering
20:29 anybody ever and uh but one night he
20:31 decided he just wanted that chair picked
20:33 it up and started walking off with it
20:36 and at first the production assistants
20:37 were like what's he doing where's he
20:38 going did i tell him to do that right
20:40 and finally somebody got a hold of uh
20:43 francis pointing to the guy walking away
20:45 with he goes you know what do you want
20:46 to do you want to get him chocolate pulp
20:47 you know he said i was like have it you
20:49 know back in 1992 that probably was
20:51 worth 25 30
20:53 you know not that big of an expense
20:55 letting howard
20:56 uh then back in the fall
20:58 the police get a call at a utop a
21:01 community store here when the clerk went
21:03 out midnight to throw away the trash
21:05 the uh uh clerk saw a uh gentleman
21:09 leaned up against the uh dumpster
21:11 there's a big pile of stuff with him he
21:13 yeah that was the call the police he
21:15 said hey you know i don't care if the
21:16 guy's out there but 4 35 in the morning
21:19 when the dumpster comes to dump the
21:21 trash there's gonna back up probably
21:23 that guy right over kill him
21:24 and uh he'll never know he'll never you
21:27 know that overhear him scream
21:28 and uh so the cops come uh a policeman
21:32 named uh gary shows up wakes him up says
21:36 hey buddy we've seen a movie out of the
21:37 way you're not any troubling any or
21:39 anything but you know you don't want to
21:40 get here when the dumpster gets here uh
21:43 he'll be here when dempsey gets here so
21:44 he turns around helps him move the stuff
21:46 out of the way
21:48 at the bottom of the pile there's the
21:49 director's chair that is amazing gary
21:52 worked in this area he knew that it was
21:53 stolen wasn't that big deal but he said
21:56 hey
21:56 obviously you're not francis ford
21:58 coppola right he goes did you steal that
22:00 downtown he goes no he was what are you
22:02 doing with it he said i'd uh trade the
22:04 guy for it he as well it's not yours i
22:06 really can't you know let you keep that
22:09 you know and i know it was slow and i
22:10 know it's not yours so i'll just take
22:12 off your hands assuming that he could
22:14 put two or two together get it to
22:17 someone that they could get it to
22:19 dr francis you know back then we had uh
22:23 cash on delivery
22:24 where you would actually send something
22:26 to somebody when they got the package
22:28 they would pay for the shipping and so
22:29 you paid
22:30 as we do now anyway never worked out
22:33 kept it kept safe all these years
22:36 back in i think two thousand uh
22:40 was it
22:41 eleven or
22:43 anyway he he basically contacted us and
22:45 said hey i got something belongs to you
22:47 guys brought that chair so that was the
22:49 first actual donation from the community
22:52 uh we got the uh johnny cade screen worn
22:56 jean jacket and jean
22:57 uh from playing hollywood they were
22:59 closing
23:00 and uh shutting down some little oh yeah
23:02 so these were macho shoes right yeah
23:05 ralph gave us the shoes but the jeans
23:07 and jeans jacket most
23:09 uh actors that were in multiple scenes
23:11 had three to five copies of the same
23:13 outfit but johnny k the down mount kid
23:16 don't know if maybe he had one
23:18 you know yeah maybe two but there was
23:20 only one available that we knew
23:22 so uh we uh won that auction to get that
23:26 but the shoes came from ralph muncio
23:27 himself that uh
23:30 he gave us that's cool really cool
23:32 that's original copy of the
23:34 1967 version of that donnie is in tulsa
23:38 working on you know kicking the walls
23:39 trying to see how bad this thing is to
23:41 rebuild and danny's trying to figure out
23:43 what are you going to put in the museum
23:45 you search the biggest uh
23:48 auction website in the world ebay and
23:50 what do you come up with books a lot of
23:52 books book's been in print for uh
23:55 uh 54 years 15 million copies still says
23:58 the half way copies a year
23:59 so we've got uh books in japanese french
24:04 italian uh you know they did different
24:06 covers over the years uh when the movie
24:09 came out uh they replaced the cover with
24:12 the artwork from the movie
24:14 and uh so a lot of different versions
24:17 like that oh that's the fence cap right
24:18 there from up front yeah this was uh uh
24:21 one that supposedly rob lowe had signed
24:23 at one point uh neighbor had saw that
24:26 so that's the original fence
24:28 yeah yeah uh the only was a kid bought a
24:32 car down here
24:33 and uh i went around the block for test
24:36 drive
24:37 bought the car
24:39 gun that turned the corner and hit the
24:40 defense over here but all the front is
24:42 original and you'll see where if we open
24:45 the door here
24:47 so when swayze when they got the rumble
24:49 and they do the big ripple scene
24:51 uh patrick swayze runs out here you see
24:54 how they their faces pulled down right
24:56 there yeah
24:57 so that's they pulled the fence down
24:59 they braced it
25:01 and he jumped on uh
25:03 blocks in this little height
25:10 that's cool
25:10 y'all rock and i do this every weekend
25:13 yeah awesome awesome
25:16 jillian and i are the genuine articles
25:29 wow we had to prepare all that in doing
25:29 so if you can see in the fireplace here
25:32 we put the rest of the uh
25:35 the house down at the bottom it's
25:36 counting those tv shows with the house
25:39 again
25:40 and then
25:53 so that's in the same spot as it was in
25:54 the movie the stained glass because
25:56 these are the five rooms to see the
25:57 movie they had to paint this it looked
25:59 like it's been smoking if you used to
26:01 watch tv
26:02 cigarettes so there would be uh
26:04 different walls and look you know white
26:05 cream
26:07 just we have the artist draw that design
26:09 make a stencil
26:10 out of that from just from that
26:12 screenshot
26:13 and then paint that over three nights
26:15 they come in and paint that but we made
26:17 it look like it was rubbed off in places
26:19 in the corners you see where it peeled
26:21 off
26:22 because that wallpaper would drop in the
26:24 corners yeah and then my house in joplin
26:26 where our parents live like that corners
26:28 would always start breaking off
26:30 uh the kitchen cabinets from this thing
26:32 here they've been replaced
26:34 uh so we tore those out and built new
26:36 kitchen cabinets uh but kitchens back in
26:39 the 30s 40s 50s and 60s you didn't have
26:42 microwaves insta pots air fryers you had
26:45 a stove and you had a countertop where
26:47 you could cook with uh you know grease
26:49 and bacon that i bought
26:51 uh so you were cooking bacon eggs fish
26:54 chicken greasy food with a splatter
26:57 stain the walls coat them and if you
26:59 ever burned anything you would have you
27:01 know smoked head replacements you can
27:03 have fingers so we painted that room to
27:05 look like that and then of course in the
27:08 bathroom here pegasus
27:10 gets out of the shower uh you can see
27:12 there's from the wall where uh tom
27:14 cruise is sit stand right there uh this
27:17 wall color versus the bathroom didn't
27:19 have benefits back then or ventilation
27:21 back then either so we take the shower
27:24 shaving
27:25 uh we're doing a bath the water the
27:27 moisture will kind of coat the walls
27:29 the dirt in the air from the smoke the
27:32 grease we coat the walls give it kind of
27:34 a yellow look so
27:36 uh that all has fun
27:37 here so these are the five rooms you see
27:40 we have three others and i tell you i
27:41 like to tell you authentic we try to
27:43 make the experience for you it's so nice
27:46 i was just informed here the little
27:47 carving here
27:48 a little indentation here on the side of
27:50 the the post
27:52 is still the same
27:53 where about dylan standing right here
28:09 and there's a little kind of screen grab
28:09 of it
28:10 with him standing against there and then
28:12 there's those words there's the
28:14 the wording
28:23 are these the originals too i'm noticing
28:23 they look very similar very just a
28:25 recreation yeah and that's how the
28:27 sophie got built a lot of people will
28:28 step up and go hey my aunt you know
28:30 passed away two months ago she's got
28:32 some of this or you know she's got
28:34 something similar
28:35 and uh well i wouldn't call it a
28:36 recreation they're the same style so you
28:38 had to find ones
28:40 you know from that era that looked
28:42 identical to what they were sitting out
28:43 here yeah and if you come and sit on it
28:45 you get actually authentic uh so you get
28:47 the right
28:48 you get a little tetanus shot beforehand
28:50 yeah
28:52 and you got a picture of this down here
28:53 i did yeah that's incredible i'm glad
28:55 you pointed that out because they didn't
28:56 you know nobody you know you see over
28:58 the years
28:59 that the uh you know rain in the uh
29:02 uh wind probably hail damage that but
29:06 it's uh cut in there
29:08 you said there's a story about the el
29:09 camino
29:11 no or it's just someone that wrote
29:12 random el camino there
29:14 no no uh the uh see breaking bad oh yeah
29:18 okay so i just did the breaking bad
29:19 filming locations i was in albuquerque
29:22 the movie el camino el camino uh jessie
29:25 plymon's the redhead
29:27 oh yeah yeah he was here during
29:30 the filming of
29:32 killer supplier maine okay he came about
29:35 three or four weeks after he played todd
29:37 in breaking bad yeah todd and he came
29:40 after the
29:41 uh during that filming about three weeks
29:43 after leonardo dicaprio came uh he
29:46 brought two three other actors including
29:48 brenda fraser
29:49 did you know they were gonna show up or
29:51 did a leo just show just pop out he just
29:52 showed up that was crazy how random uh
29:55 because museums he goes to museums and
29:57 uh i guess he there's something he's
29:59 done with his dad so he's out on set to
30:02 break up the monotony yeah on his days
30:04 off he tries to find any uh that's cool
30:06 see him and i came across this
30:09 and i guess the bodyguard dropped him
30:12 he goes back to the back bodyguard's
30:14 trying to figure out a place to park
30:16 leo goes back in the back and uh
30:24 that is pretty amazing
30:24 imagine just being here and
30:26 leonardo dicaprio walks down were you
30:27 here when leonardo dicaprio got came up
30:29 i
30:30 i wasn't there did we hear that ability
30:34 so
30:35 all the pictures
30:37 you notice patrick's always standing on
30:39 bricks to make himself tough oh yeah
30:40 sure
30:41 every time he signed something he would
30:43 circle it and like breaks over here
30:45 behind the house in this far back
30:46 building is the gift shop and inside the
30:48 gift shop
30:49 they have a lot of other screen used
30:52 outfits that were worn by the actors
30:54 in the film itself
30:57 nice variety of
30:59 things
31:07 as well as merchandise obviously
31:07 t-shirts
31:08 magnets stickers
31:10 pens things like that but yeah quite a
31:13 quite an array
31:14 of not only props and merchandise
31:17 in the gift shop as well
31:37 and if you walk around the side they
31:37 have restored this as well
31:40 this was also seen in the film
31:44 i remember correctly there was an angle
31:47 here
31:48 that was used
32:01 back in 2012 the first time i came
32:01 through here
32:03 i thought man i'd really like to get
32:04 inside this house but someone was living
32:08 and was not was not feasible at the time
32:11 i never thought i'd be able to but today
32:14 i did i was able to go inside
32:20 well worth it i stated if you're in the
32:20 area
32:21 come check it out
32:23 tickets can be purchased the gift shop
32:28 you can go inside and tour
32:30 the curtis house from the outsiders
32:38 right next to the train tracks
32:38 and where the fountain was
32:40 that they have pieces of just a couple
32:42 blocks away and where the rumble was a
32:44 couple blocks away too
33:21 one other thing they pointed out here
33:21 when swayze did the little stand up did
33:24 his little
33:25 somersault stand up over here the fence
33:28 they mounted
33:29 they put some bars here to to
33:32 to give a little stanchions to make this
33:34 a little sturdier so they had some
33:36 support beams that went down to the
33:38 ground there because they knew he was
33:40 gonna
33:41 stand up on the fence and then tom
33:43 cruise right over here
33:45 did a backflip off of a car
33:48 that was parked right there
34:14 here's the
34:14 original stained glass window that was
34:16 showing from the inside
34:22 i also
34:22 was informed of something that's some
34:24 signatures inside
34:39 she was in it she signed the wall and
34:39 that's gonna do it for today from the
34:42 outsiders house the curtis house
34:44 from the film
34:47 this is awesome
34:48 as stated something i have always wanted
34:50 to do but never
34:52 never went that route to take a home
34:54 from one of my favorite movies
34:56 purchase it restore it
35:03 this is great it's a classic film
35:03 the outsiders and just think of swayze
35:06 going over the fence tom cruise
35:08 flipping off the car right there doing
35:10 the back flip off the car he wasn't he
35:12 wasn't using his middle finger to flip
35:14 off the car maybe he did maybe that was
35:15 a deleted scene probably not
35:17 you know what i mean see thomas howell
35:24 quite a quite an ensemble cast
35:24 all right inside this house and around
35:26 the neighborhood in the backyard side
35:29 yard
35:34 see the next video
35:34 vlog
35:42 dogs
35:54 oh yeah so you've already started
35:54 putting the bricks there they're gonna
35:56 finish and fix them all on next friday
35:58 and saturday
36:00 so if i buy one now it'll be there next
36:01 saturday friday night it probably takes
36:03 about three weeks to get them in
36:06 okay that's pretty cool
36:09 also ended up purchasing a few items got
36:11 this t-shirt this is on the front
36:13 francis ford coppola presents
36:15 and then as well as a stay gold
36:19 emblem there on the front of this one
36:21 got a couple of tees
36:23 and then a sticker
36:28 and a pin which is sliding off
36:31 there it is
36:39 you see my reflection in there but
36:39 that's okay
36:55 and i asked about getting the brick
36:55 along the side
36:56 so there were a hundred dollars so if
36:58 they don't do them on site you have to
36:59 go on
37:00 you have to go online onto the site
37:04 there's plenty of information on there
37:05 too
38:02 what a way to end it
38:02 with the ambiance of the train going by
