0:03 welcome everyone out of the woo here say
0:03 hello to me and to Super Bucky the
0:06 T-shirt Edition that I actually picked
0:09 up when I was going through Texas a
0:11 while back and I had my flipflop song
0:13 and I stepped in bies dung if you will
0:18 and I trous it through the store and I
0:19 slid it by a security officer some
0:23 people say that is probably one of their
0:25 favorite daily woo Vlogs what do you
0:28 think about that it's Friday
0:30 and I am going to a convention at the
0:32 Anaheim Convention Center as soon as
0:35 this Vlog is uploaded and as soon as I
0:37 get some caffeinated beverages in the
0:38 form of coffee into my torso and into my
0:41 nether regions of my throat and down
0:43 into the G area I think the gullet might
0:46 be your head the gullet head and torso
0:50 area he needs some coffee too as you
0:53 little do you know that beavers in the
0:56 form of Bucky beavers they're the form
0:58 of a chain of gas stations in Texas only
1:02 specifically only in Texas Only You
1:04 Texans or those who travel through Texas
1:07 will know who Bucky is or if you've seen
1:10 that fantastic the daily woo Vlog which
1:13 I'm curious does anyone know the number
1:15 what day was that that I went to Bucky
1:17 and stepped in
1:20 Buy's feal
1:22 matter it's Friday TGF it's my second
1:25 channel daily blog channel it's the
1:27 daily woo I will be at WonderCon here in
1:29 Anaheim
1:30 just Google WonderCon I don't think it's
1:32 WonderCon decom I think that's taken by
1:34 someone else but if you go to San Diego
1:36 ComicCon Comic-Con in general I think
1:39 also has something in New York but the
1:41 Comic-Con corporation started a
1:44 secondary quote unquote smaller
1:46 convention and I use that term lightly
1:48 because today tomorrow and Sunday it is
1:51 going on here in Southern California it
1:53 is a massive conglomeration of nerdery
1:56 comic book goodness people dressed up in
1:59 Cosplay and I love that stuff so I have
2:01 decided to take my microphone I'm
2:03 meeting up with my friend Jeff heimbuck
2:04 who actually is going to be there the
2:05 whole weekend I will only be there today
2:08 today is not sold out yet tomorrow is
2:10 sold out that's why I chose the option
2:13 of actually going today instead of
2:14 tomorrow I bought my tickets online so
2:16 I'm going to have my Canon T3i DSLR
2:20 hopefully Jeff heimbuck is going to be
2:22 helping me film a little bit I'll have
2:24 my microphone I will be interviewing
2:26 people just like I have in the past when
2:27 I did the convention last week when I
2:30 went to monster paloa but this time I
2:32 will be interviewing
2:34 random ComicCon SL WonderCon the lower
2:39 smaller quote unquote version of
2:41 ComicCon attendees so I don't know how
2:44 many monsters are going to be there
2:46 we're probably going to see some
2:47 superheroes that's why I'm wearing the
2:49 T-shirt all right enough of that I've
2:50 talked too long I've done the intro too
2:52 long have I done the intro it's my
2:54 second channel daily blog channel it's
2:55 the
2:56 daily
2:58 woo I want to talk talk to you a little
3:00 bit about punk rock what is punk rock
3:03 when people think of punk rock they
3:04 think of a guy with a mohawk running
3:07 around walking around town flipping off
3:10 the middle finger to people everywhere
3:12 with a can of spray paint spray painting
3:15 walls desecrating what is around him or
3:18 you think of someone who has 5,000
3:21 piercings all in their face and while
3:24 that is a form of punk rockness if you
3:27 will because punk rock in general means
3:30 basically that you honestly do not give
3:34 a crud about what anyone else really
3:36 thinks the general population think so
3:39 you are kind of the minority when it
3:41 comes to the mindset dress code
3:44 hairstyles Etc punk rock also means a
3:48 form of music that started way back in I
3:51 think in the 70s mid '70s late '70s
3:54 bands like the Sex Pistols bands like
3:57 the Ramones The Clash all the these
4:00 bands brought punk rock into the
4:02 Forefront granted those bands did not
4:04 start around those years but they came a
4:06 little bit afterwards and they pushed
4:08 themselves forward and brought the term
4:10 punk rock not really into the mainstream
4:13 so much really the mainstream the
4:15 general population heard the term punk
4:17 rock when Green Day the album dookie in
4:20 1994 Broke Free and then The Offspring
4:23 Smash in 94 broke up and then we have
4:25 other bands like rancid and all these
4:27 other bands I myself have a different
4:30 form of what punk rock means to me so I
4:34 want to express to you what does punk
4:36 rock mean to me what is my punk rock
4:40 mentality if you will it is not about
4:43 hairstyles it is not about piercings it
4:45 is not about what bands I listen to I've
4:48 listened to a lot of punk rock bands in
4:50 my day in fact I was lucky enough to
4:53 play in one of my favorite punk rock
4:54 bands I was a huge fan of this band in
4:57 the early '90s probably from '94 to 98
5:00 those four years I was really into a
5:02 band by the name of Guttermouth that
5:04 actually was from Southern California
5:05 and I had the opportunity to be in that
5:07 band for a few years I did five full
5:11 tours with him through the us into
5:13 Canada down into Mexico as well as I
5:16 also started a couple punk rock bands
5:18 out in Florida the most popular of those
5:21 bands were bands by the name of Alias
5:23 Clark that I was in with my friend Jim
5:25 who now lives actually out in Ohio and
5:29 he is in a called red hot Rebellion just
5:31 look up red hot Rebellion online you can
5:34 find Jim there he was actually the
5:35 singer in Alias Clark after Alias Clark
5:38 broke up I started a band by the name of
5:40 10 new toes so we used the terminology
5:43 10 new toes TNT and we became TNT we
5:47 changed her name later to the new threat
5:51 we toured with a bunch of bands all
5:52 around the country and then I became
5:54 friends with the band from here
5:56 Guttermouth ended up becoming part of
5:59 Guttermouth and good friends with the
6:01 band Guttermouth so Ive played with a
6:03 gazillion bands played a ton of shows I
6:05 played bass guitar I have pretty much
6:08 kind of put the band aspect on the
6:13 outskirts of my
6:14 priorities that era of my life I have
6:17 kind of moved on with but punk rock is
6:20 the reason I'm going to tell you this
6:22 now punk rock is the reason
6:25 99.9% of you are watching this Vlog at
6:28 this moment you might be saying to
6:30 yourself Adam I don't listen to punk
6:32 rock I cannot stand the screaming music
6:34 I cannot stand the distorted guitars I
6:37 cannot stand that insanely loud drum
6:40 beat and the yelling and when I go to a
6:42 punk rock show I cannot tolerate the
6:45 Slam Dancing that goes around the
6:47 sweating that everyone is doing well it
6:49 is not about that that I am referring to
6:52 the reason I say punk rock is the reason
6:54 you are watching this video is because
6:56 of a punk rock mentality not punk rock
7:00 mentality where you flip the middle
7:02 finger to someone you yell a profanity
7:04 to them you throw eggs at them or you
7:06 roll their house with toilet paper
7:09 nothing of that faction but basically a
7:12 positive attitude of punk rock when I
7:15 started listening to punk rock in the
7:16 early '90s it was all kind of about that
7:19 it taught me basically that I needed to
7:21 do what I wanted to do I needed to stand
7:24 up for myself and even though everyone
7:26 else might not be on the same page that
7:28 I am with my passions with my desires
7:30 what I wanted to do that did not matter
7:32 you can stand on your own or with a very
7:35 core group of other friends and you can
7:37 actually make what you want to happen
7:40 come into fruition come into a positive
7:43 aspect and that actually the positive
7:44 thing I'm referring to came a little bit
7:46 later into the mid to late 90s I got
7:49 into an era a section of Music a section
7:53 of punk rock that was called like
7:55 straight edge hardcore bands positive
7:57 straight edge hardcore bands the purpose
7:59 of straight edge or people who do not do
8:01 drugs do not drink and I really latched
8:03 on to that because I have never really
8:05 been much into the drug or drinking
8:07 scene at all so I really fell into this
8:10 whole straight edge movement even though
8:12 I do not document or call myself
8:15 straight edge I still hold those
8:18 passions and those desires and those
8:19 principles in my heart even to this day
8:22 but we're not talking about everything I
8:24 have described so far the punk rock
8:27 mentality when it comes to me
8:30 what does that mean when I toured
8:32 constantly around the United States I
8:34 realized that I did what 1% of 1% of 1%
8:40 of the population what is that
8:42 terminology even
8:44 0.1% of the rest of the world do most
8:48 other people are going to work most
8:50 other people are going to school most
8:52 other people are at home taking care of
8:55 their children taking care of their
8:56 family taking care of their parents
8:58 doing whatever else else I was on a
9:01 little bit different wavelength by being
9:03 in a van traveling around strapping on a
9:05 bass guitar and singing these ridiculous
9:08 songs to people so I thought to myself I
9:12 could probably do that on my own agenda
9:16 and actually travel in a van but instead
9:19 of having that van full of people I can
9:21 have it full of one person me and an air
9:25 mattress and a video camera and I can
9:28 actually document positive historical
9:31 awesome places all across the Great USFA
9:35 and bring them into people's homes by
9:37 putting them on YouTube I did not
9:38 realize that it was going to turn or
9:41 blossom into what it is today the Adam
9:43 the woo Channel youtube/ Adam the woo
9:45 was the first channel and then this
9:47 youtubethe daily woo came along a little
9:50 bit later I had no idea that people were
9:52 going to latch on to what I was doing
9:54 nor did I honestly even care at that
9:57 particular time because of my punk rock
10:00 mentality all I wanted to do is what
10:02 made me happy and I wanted to document
10:06 things that way when I was older in life
10:07 I could look back at myself and what I
10:09 have done and actually say heck it I
10:12 have actually done what I wanted to do
10:14 not what the rest of the world wanted me
10:16 to do the punk rock
10:19 mentality so that's pretty much it I
10:21 started traveling lived in my van for
10:24 about 3 years now I have a place here in
10:26 Orange County which is very ironic
10:28 because a lot of those original punk
10:30 bands I listened to in the early '90s
10:31 actually came from California came from
10:34 Orange County California so that is a
10:37 very interesting tie-in to that I have
10:39 not been to a show a concert in quite
10:42 some time after touring with Guttermouth
10:44 and playing with a million bands making
10:45 a lot of close friends in those punk
10:49 rock touring days I've kind of been on
10:52 the down low when it comes to going to
10:53 shows com going to concerts the Etc in
10:57 that Avenue so now I'm just conscious
10:59 ating on videos enjoying a breath of
11:01 fresh
11:03 air life is good everything is good but
11:06 it all stemmed from my punk rock
11:09 mentality I am talking so quick and so
11:12 passionately I need to clear my throat
11:14 I'm probably yelling quite a bit very
11:16 passionate about this subject I'm
11:18 passionate about everyone finding their
11:20 punk rock mentality you do not have to
11:22 bleach your hair you do not have to
11:24 pierce your eyebrow all you have to do
11:27 is give the proverbial middle finger to
11:30 the rest of the world I know that sounds
11:32 very crazy and what does that mean it
11:34 means saying the FW to society if you
11:37 will just because everyone does not
11:39 agree with what you are doing does not
11:42 mean that it is incorrect that it is
11:44 wrong or that is something you should
11:46 not be doing make your own decisions and
11:48 if you feel passionate about something
11:50 whether it being in a band whether it
11:52 doing artwork whether it be doodling or
11:54 drawing whether it be working with
11:56 people whether it be putting your
11:58 positive passions out there in the world
12:01 just do it just like Nike says I don't
12:03 want to bring up Nike because Nike is
12:05 about as far from punk rock as we can
12:07 think however just do it get off your
12:10 butt stand up get out in the world make
12:13 your passions and your dreams and your
12:15 hopes and your aspirations of reality
12:17 find your punk rock mentality that's all
12:21 bye
