0:06 a Roadside Attraction right here on the

0:08 main Dragon Pigeon Forge they sell all

0:10 kind of Trinkets and goodies all in

0:13 there in the hill Billy themed goodness

0:17 of Pigeon Forge in fact this place is

0:19 called hillbilly Village you can see the

0:22 sign right up there as well as some

0:26 remnants of some signs right over in

0:29 here

0:31 and when you think of hillbilly Village

0:33 one thing that comes to my mind and when

0:35 you think of Tennessee Pigeon Forge or

0:37 just Tennessee in general you might

0:39 think of

0:41 Moonshiners and in this back area

0:45 behind this

0:47 little convenient store of goodness and

0:50 trinkets lies these

0:55 sh old Moonshiner stills

1:31 I think these might actually be in the

1:31 exact spots of once the spots they

1:34 actually originally were back in the day

1:35 when Moonshiners used to actually make

1:38 illegal moonshine right here on the

1:40 property later on it became like a

1:42 little Roadside Attraction and they had

1:43 pony rides all in this little area and

1:46 now there's little remnants of it left

1:47 including this cabin and an ouse but all

1:50 the old Stills and Moonshiner goodness

1:52 Still Remains all the little rides are

1:55 happening over there look at that

1:56 there's someone up on a little roller

1:58 coaster ride at a theme park directly

1:59 across the street it probably feels like

2:02 they've actually had some moonshine in

2:04 their gullet in their stomach region and

2:06 their heads thinking pounding man it

2:08 feels like I just hit a shot of

2:09 moonshine but in reality they're just on

2:11 a crazy ride when back in the day if

2:14 somebody wanted a crazy ride instead of

2:16 riding a roller coaster they would just

2:17 make a batch of moonshine out of one of

2:20 these

2:21 Stills pretty awesome this place is

2:24 awesome so if you're ever in Pigeon

2:25 Forge you're cruising down the main drag

2:27 just look for Hillbilly Village

2:30 right behind it right behind it you can

2:32 actually go through the gift shop and it

2:34 says free exhibit come back here to the

2:36 free exhibit they actually have a sign

2:38 up that says No cameras they didn't say

2:41 anything about no cell phones even

2:43 though my cell phone has a camera on it

2:45 I think maybe I'm in a little gray area

2:46 there so I'm going to keep this Vlog

2:47 short and sweet I'm not sure why they

2:50 don't want people taking pictures of the

2:53 Stills but this is a moving picture

2:55 called a video so I think we're getting

2:58 away on a technicality here by

3:01 showing these Stills if you come out

3:03 here and you purchase something just let

3:05 them know hey I saw Adam the Woo's video

3:08 and maybe they will lighten up a little

3:10 bit on the photographs in fact a few

3:11 minutes ago there were a bunch of people

3:13 Milling around in here and they were

3:14 taking pictures with these wooden women

3:17 over here that are painted of wood so I

3:20 think they're a little lenient now on

3:22 the photography aspect the signs look

3:24 really old or maybe the signs have

3:25 something to do with the theming of them

3:27 not wanting people back here even though

3:29 it says free exhibit area this guy is

3:32 missing his head here's some Old Wagon

3:35 Wheels there's a person over there

3:37 yelling and screaming on the ride look

3:39 at these these

3:40 Stills that is cool I know nothing about

3:44 moonshining in fact I don't even drink a

3:47 lot of you know I probably don't drink

3:49 so for me the expertise of moonshining

3:51 and the drunkenness or getting a shot

3:53 doing a shot and getting a little buzz

3:55 feeling off alcohol that doesn't exist

3:58 really in my world so maybe you should

4:07 created how it's concocted and how it

5:50 guy with a beard and a woman here and

5:53 look at this a possum hide that's a real

5:56 live possum hide look at that decayed

6:00 dead skin rotting whoa that is crazy

6:04 here's some sort of a shackle for an

6:06 oxen or an ox that's an ox and

6:15 Yol This Old House made of hand Hood

6:15 logs and wood shingles is over 100 years

6:18 old was built by Mountain Hillbillies

6:21 who raised 12

6:23 children that's the singing version of

6:26 that song and then you come in here

6:28 there's a home Homestead here where

6:31 obviously people either once lived or

6:32 was the theming of this former Roadside

6:34 Attraction that's still here and it's

6:36 still free this place is awesome you're

6:39 not supposed to take pictures but I

6:41 filmed a video like I said there's a

6:43 little gray area there if you come out

6:45 here purchase something inside they have

6:46 corn Cog corn cob not corn Cog corn Cog

6:50 pipes corn cob pipes purchase one of

6:53 those or maybe a cool book or a trinket

6:55 or a souvenir and then say I saw this
