yesterday forgot the sunscreen in the
0:03
middle brought both objects on either
0:04
side but it got a little sunscreen for
0:08
today welcome everyone Adam woo here I
0:13
will be journeying up the Kissimmee
0:16
lakefront just a couple miles from where
0:20
I was in the previous episode basically
0:23
doing the same thing soaking in the
0:25
sights and the sounds and fresh air here
0:29
in Osceola County just see what I can
0:32
see and stretching my legs staying
0:35
distance as humanly possible and this
0:40
time I'm inviting you as I get my step
0:42
son to join me shalyah current weather
0:46
conditions sunny 77 degrees but we'll
0:50
probably get up to 84 maybe 87 by the
0:53
time I'm finished somewhere in that area
0:56
weather-wise heat wise heat index wise
0:59
all this is good because you could see
1:02
there was a little bump in my step
1:04
atures as of yesterday it's not what it
1:07
normally is but a little better than it
1:09
has been it's good to get out and do
1:13
ones thing as long as you're long as
1:16
you're six feet or 10 feet away from
1:18
others dr. Hanes Brinson originally from
1:22
Georgia 1923 came this way got off on a
1:25
train here in Kissimmee and it was named
1:28
the tropical City so he named a hotel
1:31
that he built here the tropical hotel
1:34
and I will be meandering all along that
1:37
shoreline probably about I don't know
1:40
half a mile maybe a mile and then
1:42
turning around and coming back maybe
1:44
even farther than that back there on
1:45
that dock is a gentleman doing a little
1:47
fishing and just around here I've seen
1:49
it quite a few people with their fishing
1:51
poles casting their lines out into the
1:54
water got distracted for a moment
1:58
because they have removed the little
2:00
viewpoint finder that you kind of cast
2:03
your eyes into this and look out onto
2:05
the horizon that is temporarily gone and
2:07
watch out for reptiles at Lake Toho
2:13
look at these little birds down here
2:15
swimming around in the water hello
2:17
little birds just enjoy in the day
2:19
wading in the water I like it a few
2:24
years ago they completely renovated this
2:27
section and it looks nice hardly
2:31
recognize the place
2:32
I love the ambience all the natural
2:50
noises
3:32
and a skateboarder okay we hear you over
3:32
there we hear you bird I'm always on the
3:40
lookout for a good shade tree and this
3:42
one is impressive I like it it's it's
3:47
bountiful and its branches but it only
3:50
lasts momentarily because now I'm back
3:53
in the drenching sunbeams
4:04
dramatic sound effects very dramatic
4:04
quick now just down the way a bit in st.
4:07
cloud East Lake Tahoe this is Lake Tahoe
4:11
proper they are connected twin cities if
4:14
you will their Park was officially
4:16
closed and taped off benches picnic
4:20
tables and the likes I'm curious to see
4:21
what they are doing here just a stone's
4:24
throw away while they do have some of
4:27
these barricades up the seats are
4:30
accessible and not taped off
4:33
so seats open playground not
4:50
birth of the cattle industry in Osceola
4:50
County the arrival of Spanish explorer
4:52
Juan Ponce de Leon in 1521 marked the
4:57
birth of it as a train going by in the
5:04
distance fitting because there is a
5:07
train pictured right here on this
5:08
placard normally this area is filled
5:14
with tables and seating arrangements all
5:18
of them have been removed as well as
5:23
closures of the facilities just have to
5:30
hold it
6:45
he's really taking that whole social
6:45
distancing thing very seriously it's
6:47
really difficult for me to see a bird of
6:51
paradise plant shown here and not think
6:55
of the Tiki Room every time I see one
7:01
I just want to bust out into a song
7:21
outside of the American Legion facility
7:21
is a sidewalk that makes up a heart this
7:27
is the top portion of the heart what are
7:40
you trying what are you trying to say oh
7:43
I get it you're saying the lighthouse
7:47
section is also accessible oh yeah
7:50
you're right I do see people over there
7:51
wandering next to the lighthouse I know
8:03
I know you take care too
8:29
in the future Ruby Plaza Cafe will
8:29
reopen rest assured
8:31
but for now they have the signage up
8:34
normally they have tater tots nice
8:45
little breeze at the moment see the
8:47
flags over there waving brisk fully and
8:51
the wind this shows where the lakeshore
9:07
is located and Kissimmee at the top of
9:12
the lake right there keep an eye out for
9:20
some white-tailed deer they might be
9:22
around pretty neat section how it starts
9:26
on the ground level and then almost like
9:28
a maze goes up and around and then over
9:32
to wading pool yep
9:37
get it off and there is a crocodile and
9:42
a couple baked wild boars in there no
9:50
groups allowed I don't know what the
9:53
technical number is now I think
9:55
originally it was 10 and then fine and
9:58
then maybe three but no groups normally
10:03
I would thoroughly enjoy getting a
10:05
selfie or a photograph sitting in an
10:08
acorn or standing upon this wishing
10:13
mechanism but now is not the time trying
10:17
to touch anything but I don't have to
10:19
you know plus it's closed off so those
10:22
two factors
10:23
kind of meld into my head I still see
10:32
you it's gonna say usually what a
10:36
squirrel will do you're trying to follow
10:38
it it's just go around the opposite side
10:40
of the tree trunk sorry your little
10:51
noggin for a moment chief Osceola and
11:00
the Seminole resistance check out the
11:11
murkiness here at the dock where the
11:13
boats are stationed the green algae down
11:18
there could picture the Swamp Thing
11:22
emerging some of your friends are in the
11:32
water but you choose not to be your
11:38
perch too high getting the good view up
11:42
there are you
11:57
this is making a really neat creaky
11:57
sound there does I start back here also
12:09
look at the texture of this almost looks
12:13
like a mattress looks comfy
13:31
these gentlemen are going out in a
13:31
camouflaged water vessel
13:38
I love the sounds out here like the
13:43
birds are talking directly to me it's a
13:45
nice little stroll got the wind in my
13:48
face the breeze in my hair even though
13:50
it's not really blustering as much at
13:53
the moment there is a a peacefulness to
13:58
all this I like it
14:02
I've enjoyed the last few days doing
14:06
these wandering episodes here's another
14:15
look at that mattress looking item in
14:19
the water and another set of flags here
14:20
on this end as well kind of reach the
14:22
halfway point way over there is where I
14:25
started now I gotta go the opposite way
14:29
to recharge way over there kind of at
14:33
the far right of where those trees
14:36
pentacle downward to the earth a bunch
14:39
of these shells have made their way up
14:41
onto land you know with the water there
14:45
and they have made their way up the
14:50
embankment just a bit and there's not
14:51
just those two
14:52
but another here I passed probably a
14:56
half a dozen or so of these squirrel in
15:00
the middle of the sidewalk squirrel
15:04
alert in the middle of the sidewalk that
15:09
might be the only one noticing the
15:11
squirrel and I middle of the sidewalk
15:13
you almost missed you down there first
15:19
that I've seen today your decent-sized
15:58
has some onlookers what's grabbing their
15:58
photos me as well
16:00
some bank Nvidia
16:44
it'd be tough for him to climb up these
16:44
rocks but you said that's a female right
16:49
yeah so you see for judging by the size
16:52
of the head
17:41
this is known as a rain garden this
17:41
little section of foliage here tucked
17:45
away unbeknownst to most in fact I would
17:48
not have known that if it wasn't for
17:51
this information placard and in this
17:54
section are a number of different trees
17:57
and plants like the sable palm the bald
18:00
cypress live oak plants like the soft
18:05
brush and the broom sedge was looking at
18:09
these shells I found more of these
18:10
shells and off to the right here a
18:14
slithering serpent a snake just went
18:18
into that brush missed it
18:23
right in there right below that foliage
18:26
is a snake big one no waiting or
18:45
swimming fret not I'm not even tempted
19:08
but I did go all that this water that's
19:08
