2:24 going to change the name of this park

2:25 once again very soon on The Daily woo

2:28 1625 I took Street shots out in

2:30 California and match them up to the

2:32 Florida counterpart of every one of

2:34 these facades here at Disney but today I

2:37 want to delve inside the buildings

2:41 what's

2:50 inside in the early '90s the park opened

2:50 in ' 89 but in the early '90s when I was

2:52 young this was my favorite theme park in

2:55 the world so every time I have the

2:57 ability to document a little history or

2:59 show some stuff that maybe some people

3:01 either forgotten or maybe never even

3:03 knew existed I jump at the chance and

3:05 with Star Wars land on the horizon you

3:08 never know what the precious momento of

3:10 the past will be next just like streets

3:12 of America everything's changing I can't

3:15 lie though I am pretty excited to see

3:16 what the future holds for what's behind

3:19 that wall Star Wars land it's probably

3:21 going to be pretty amazing but hopefully

3:22 we never forget that it was not only

3:24 created as an homage but it also wanted

3:26 to be the East Coast Hollywood not only

3:29 by recreating the facades in Los Angeles

3:32 but this used to be a working Studio

3:35 true story don't believe me asked Daryl

3:37 Hannah Roger Rabbit or maybe even

3:39 McCully culin and speaking of him way

3:42 back in the day Michael Jackson and

3:44 McCully did a photo shootting an

3:46 interview right here on this little

3:47 grassy Hill and now to the task at hand

3:49 we'll start off with the dark room

3:52 definitely make sure you walk in these

3:53 gift shops as you peruse the premises

3:56 because look at the roof look at the

3:58 detail and the carvings all along the

4:01 top of the roof and the

4:04 chandeliers you don't really notice that

4:06 on first glance and even this mirror

4:08 here has a lot of detail in it at one

4:10 point they used to sell actual film for

4:12 your cameras of course as time has

4:15 evolved now they just have you know pins

4:17 and whatnot in here that you can

4:19 purchase but if this doesn't say old

4:22 Hollywood I don't know what will look at

4:25 that that's awesome even the tiling on

4:26 the floor is themed very well and the

4:28 front counter and look look at that a

4:31 little momento back there actual cameras

4:34 not digital actual cameras the

4:36 coloration and design on this building

4:39 is almost duplicated on the inside roof

4:42 check out check out what it looks like

4:45 they even use a mirror effect to make it

4:47 look like it goes on forever pretty cool

4:50 inside the 5 and 10 there are photos of

4:52 celebrities all along the ledge just as

4:55 the theming outside changes from

4:57 building to building it also does side

5:00 look how the tile coloration changes

5:02 from this room to this room and when you

5:05 walk in here look up on the walls there

5:06 are old movie posters and a very high

5:09 ceiling and a crazy looking Chandelier

5:13 and window it's almost like a witch

5:16 would be looking out of there and a fun

5:18 fact you will never see a stormtrooper

5:20 walk out of that kind of themed door at

5:22 least probably not we'll jump over to

5:24 the other side now inside what is now

5:26 currently Mickey's of Hollywood they

5:29 have the aluminum film strip still on

5:31 the wall and check out up here here are

5:34 some cutouts of some of the old school

5:37 Disney cartoons and the roof looks

5:39 normal here but there's this weird

5:40 little Al Cove that pops up facing the

5:44 windows that look out onto Hollywood

5:46 Boulevard in fact I never noticed this

5:49 till just now and it stretches the

5:51 entire length of this building and check

5:54 out these light formations that's old

5:56 school and it makes me wonder if R2 and

5:59 C3 down there have any clue what's just

6:02 a few yards in front of them they're old

6:05 Hollywood Legends they should be

6:07 promoting the old timey sections too not

6:09 only do I have childhood memories of

6:11 this place but now that I look at it it

6:12 makes me miss California every time I

6:15 walk through here now I'm going to walk

6:16 inside the Beverly Sunset building they

6:18 sell candy coated apples but check out

6:21 the pillars in here this is some sweet

6:24 Art Deco goodness they try to hide it

6:27 with some of the Disney V and whatnot

6:30 but you can't hide

6:32 Hollywood I just made that up you can't

6:35 hi # You Can't Hide Hollywood and check

6:37 this out right behind the Cars display

6:40 is an Old Stage with a curtain and

6:44 everything that's interesting and

6:46 another really awesome light fixture up

6:49 there even some movie reels all along

6:51 the ledge there and what do you think

6:53 was there I think maybe there was a

6:55 camera up in there that portrayed the

6:58 images onto the screen that used to be

7:01 there what do you think that's pretty

7:02 interesting and another thing that I had

7:05 never noticed before not only is there a

7:07 curtain but a curtain back there

7:08 blocking the old screen did you see my

7:11 last movie the hotel yes oh I loved it

7:13 you know you're not the only one

7:15 everyone said my movie the hotel was the

7:17 Best

7:23 Western yeah it's official that guy

7:23 tells cheesier jokes than me I didn't

7:25 think it was possible but he exists and

7:28 this is the only remaining Tower of

7:30 Terror in the United States someone's

7:32 dropping right now facing their fears

7:35 California they're changing it over to

7:37 Guardians of the

7:39 Galaxy I guess you got to come to

7:41 Florida if you want to ride it and now

7:42 to see what lies inside car

7:50 Circle o I like the entryway the tole

7:51 work and look at

8:02 this Kong a gift shop behind the counter

8:02 some pictures of the original car and

8:05 photos of Walt and his wife Lillian and

8:07 just like in the other buildings the

8:08 floors change giving you a new

8:11 perspective and a new theming look

8:13 behind the counter here look at the roof

8:16 and look at these chandeliers totally

8:18 different than just a few feet over they

8:20 definitely use a lot of metal and iron

8:23 to go along the side actually you know

8:25 what that's not iron that's like it's

8:27 like an aluminum and I always like when

8:29 like here along the pillar used I think

8:31 it gives it kind of a cool effect and

8:33 what is the name when they use this

8:36 smoke type of glass like to see how

8:39 Smoky and unclear that is and even

8:41 though the legends of Hollywood Theater

8:42 is mostly Star Wars merchandise there

8:45 are a few nuggets of goodness tucked

8:48 away in here as well just look at the

8:49 mural on the side of the road and even

8:51 though they wedge Han Solo and Luke in

8:54 there you can't look past all these old

8:58 photos of other other Hollywood Legends

9:01 definitely not what this building was

9:03 built for but at least they're using it

9:05 for something but maybe in ' 89 when

9:07 they built this they had a premonition

9:09 because look at the tow work that kind

9:12 of resembles the Death Star right and

9:14 what sort of spaceship is this everyone

9:18 be quiet do not let these guys do not

9:21 let these guys intimidate

9:27 you I didn't ride anything today I just

9:27 wanted to stop in one last time before

9:29 departing Florida and check out the

9:31 inside of those structures and the

9:33 interesting thing is I learned something

9:35 new today I saw some new things that I

9:37 never noticed in the 20 plus years of me

9:40 coming out to this theme park there was

9:43 little things on the roof and little

9:44 nuances and the construction of some of

9:46 those buildings I never took the time to

9:48 pay attention to which teaches me a

9:50 lesson sometimes you got to stop and

9:52 smell the roses or in this case patunas

9:56 see you later I might come back one one

9:59 more time not sure which park but I

10:02 might do one more

10:03 trip out to Walt Disney World property

10:06 before leaving game plan is to leave on

10:09 Monday morning bright and

10:11 early and hit the road and I have

10:14 officially decided on the path I will be

10:16 taking upon that departure now good Lord

10:20 willing and the creek don't rise bar and

10:22 extreme emergency I will not be

10:25 returning to this neck of the woods I

10:27 will not be revisiting some Central

10:29 Florida until probably December around

10:33 that holiday season the Christmas Time

10:37 festivities I have a lot of other things

10:39 to do a lot of other plans a lot of

10:41 other Journeys to partake

10:44 in it's going to be

10:47 good it's going to be good oh palm trees

10:50 and sun and humidity and heat of

10:54 Plenty
