0:02 today's adventure brings me to saint
0:02 cloud florida peeking above that rusted
0:04 out van there
0:06 retro looking van is the saint cloud
0:08 florida water tower
0:09 my former home for many years
0:12 my family moved here back in 91 so i'm
0:14 gonna do a little hometown tour
0:18 some memories
0:20 reminisce a little bit
0:27 as a recording of this thursday
0:30 february 24th
0:32 2022
0:34 and as i'm making my way over to
0:36 downtown to park and then take my
0:37 scooter
0:38 around
0:39 passing by
0:41 where i used to live with my family in
0:42 fact my car my first car i ever had
0:44 which was a 84 ford ltd i used to park
0:48 right over here
0:49 off to the side
0:51 and my dad was the minister at this
0:53 church it's now a different congregation
0:55 but it used to be first christian church
0:58 about a block away from downtown
1:00 that was a little bit of a speed bump
1:02 welcome everyone adam the woo here
1:05 before getting on the scooter however
1:07 i finished off this piping hot
1:08 caffeinated beverage i got at the store
1:11 on the way in
1:12 it's very difficult to have the camera
1:14 in one hand be on the scooter and the
1:16 other hand is occupied by coffee
1:23 this is about 24 25 miles from my
1:23 current homestead celebration florida
1:25 and the reason i am down here
1:27 today is a little bit later and be
1:29 visiting with my parents i have not seen
1:30 them
1:31 since i got back
1:33 of my roof off my seven week road trip a
1:34 few days ago so i'll be doing that a
1:36 little bit later and i figured why in
1:38 the area
1:40 might as well show some of the the
1:42 things i know a lot about i do a lot of
1:44 small town stuff
1:48 it's just small small town saint cloud
1:48 i've showed it before years ago
1:51 showing it again some new memories some
1:52 things that kind of maybe jarred
1:55 some thoughts in my mind
1:56 join me
1:58 shall you at one point there was a siren
2:01 going by off in the distance at one
2:02 point this used to be called the popcorn
2:04 palace
2:05 a two screen cinema here very little
2:09 quaint community that has a movie
2:11 theater i always like to show these
2:12 movie theaters some apartments are used
2:14 to be up top
2:16 and one of the original hardware stores
2:18 is down there on the end this place over
2:20 here called fire p-h-y-r-e
2:25 i remember a few christmases ago they
2:26 had a they had a krampus photo op and
2:29 the town
2:30 completely lost its mind over it
2:34 the town didn't want krampus i lived in
2:36 a lot of places around central florida
2:39 since originally in the early 90s when
2:40 my family moved here
2:42 once i got of age and was able to get my
2:44 own apartments i started
2:47 basically living in as many places you
2:48 could fight too many to count
2:50 one of them nev was not this place over
2:53 here
2:53 but i did consider i even looked at one
2:55 of these apartments which kind of looks
2:56 like now that i'm looking at it now
2:58 present day
3:00 it just basically looks like a beachside
3:02 hotel even though it's about an hour
3:05 from the beach this is the original fire
3:07 department right here there are offices
3:10 behind here i made the mistake a few
3:12 years ago when i passed by here
3:14 of kind of knocking on the wood to see
3:17 what it was made of
3:18 and someone that was inside came out
3:20 came out and said what are you doing
3:21 knocking on that
3:22 so just keep that in mind if you ever
3:25 don't knock on that the lakefront is
3:26 about seven or eight blocks that way
3:29 and there are a lot of murals here
3:31 around town like the joyland beach
3:34 pavilion back in 1929 you would be able
3:37 to find this
3:38 at the saint cloud lakefront
3:40 no longer there probably a storm tore it
3:42 down or developers
3:44 this has been gone for a long time i
3:46 don't even remember it back in when i
3:48 first moved here
3:49 it was torn down way before then
3:52 ah here's a little information placard
3:54 it was destroyed by fire in 1923 that a
3:57 new was built but then in 35
4:00 flames once again consumed
4:03 the bathing pavilion and all of its
4:05 contents
4:06 and every time i've always seen this
4:08 little
4:09 kind of overlook here i always think of
4:11 how if a 18 wheeler went off of highway
4:13 192 and threw this back street it would
4:16 tear this down
4:18 in one monumental second but it has
4:20 stood the test of times one of the
4:22 original stores
4:24 right over there
4:25 right here in town now the town has
4:26 grown considerably since
4:29 the first residents moved here years ago
4:31 it used to just be three streets
4:33 starting on the one i'm at and then over
4:35 to new york
4:36 which is the next street over and then
4:37 the one passed there was just basically
4:39 three blocks but it's expanded a lot
4:40 since then a portrait a painting i
4:43 should say
4:44 of the railroad saint cloud railroad
4:46 depot the railroad tracks have been long
4:48 removed however
4:51 where they were if you're familiar with
4:52 the area is down 10th street
4:55 basically the town is on a grid of roads
4:57 it kind of looks very
4:59 blockish
5:00 except for 10th street that runs at a
5:02 kind of an unusual
5:04 slanted
5:06 motion if you look at
5:07 you know like a satellite view of the
5:09 roads running through
5:11 the main saint cloud area
5:13 but right over here
5:15 was the the railroad depot so i am
5:17 walking where the tracks
5:19 would have been at one time
5:21 and the tracks would have gone
5:23 that way more or less
5:25 kind of with that angle and connects
5:27 over with 13th street which is highway
5:29 192. i know it's very confusing if
5:32 you're not from the area but
5:34 might find it interesting if you look on
5:36 a satellite view map or
5:38 if you were a local resident
5:40 that was new to the area
5:43 this little bench down here the sugar
5:45 belt railway
5:47 built in 1889
5:49 used to have make a return trip it would
5:51 go to the turntable in narcosi
5:54 which is about 10 miles away
5:57 i have looked for the turntable i've
5:59 heard it's in someone's backyard years
6:00 and years ago i researched it
6:02 i've never seen the turntable with my
6:04 own eyes
6:05 not 100 sure if it still exists if it
6:07 does it's on private property
6:09 as well as the city hall that is here
6:12 new york street
6:14 or new york ave used to run directly
6:16 through this all the way up to the
6:17 lakefront
6:18 and then you know 20 years ago or so
6:20 they built city hall so now you have to
6:22 go over to the next road
6:25 to go around it now here's a fun story
6:28 there is
6:29 this pay phone relic right here
6:32 this pay phone this is a different pay
6:33 phone but there was a pay phone here
6:36 back in the 90s mid 90s that i would use
6:39 this before cell phones
6:41 and i would stand in this very spot
6:43 and use the pay phone granted this
6:46 skeleton shell is a new one new brand
6:49 but it was right here and of course the
6:51 current pay phone has been removed
6:53 as well
6:55 quite a few movies were filmed down here
6:58 tv shows
6:59 the super boy tv series
7:02 utilized
7:04 this little area through here there's
7:05 one particular episode
7:07 that they did down here and a few other
7:09 things i'll talk about as i'm wondering
7:10 the substation is always fascinating to
7:12 me this little architecture
7:14 right down here
7:16 just like this brickwork
7:19 or the rock work that's here
7:21 pretty neat with a little and kind of
7:23 peek through those holes there
7:26 they've been doing quite a bit of
7:28 construction on the saint cloud hotel
7:30 which some say
7:32 if you're into that sort of thing is
7:34 haunted
7:36 and then across the way is the original
7:38 library
7:39 later a thrift store
7:41 but when i first came here in 91 it was
7:44 the library it hasn't been the library
7:45 for decades though
7:47 before that i think it was a bank you
7:49 always know how small towns get a lot of
7:51 rumors started the rumor mill gets going
7:53 people believe it after
7:54 something has been repeated many times
7:56 this people's bank was not robbed by
7:59 john dillinger
8:00 some say it was
8:02 john dillinger never was here
8:04 was never in that bank
8:06 but you talk to some locals and they
8:08 will swear by that fact
8:10 this would be neat when this is finally
8:12 finished this is one of the original
8:13 buildings where the original residents
8:16 the very select few original residents
8:18 that were here
8:19 lived
8:20 back when they were waiting for their
8:21 houses to be purchased and built
8:25 someone is yelling at me there's a drive
8:27 by
8:35 the library former bank is now a metro
8:35 wireless expert do not jump this fence
8:37 or there could be repercussions here
8:41 but i do want to peek my camera over
8:42 because i really like this quote
8:45 that has been up on the side of this
8:47 wall for as long long as i can remember
8:49 right there
8:51 let me live in my house
8:54 built by the side of the road and be a
8:55 friend to man
9:03 very nice
9:03 this is what it originally looked like
9:04 that's what it looked like back in the
9:06 day and these are some of the original
9:08 residents here
9:09 in stc sync cloud for sure in fact
9:12 i have a tattoo
9:14 right here
9:15 stc
9:16 for saint cloud
9:18 yep got some memories here oh this place
9:21 will always kind of have a
9:23 be a part of me the historic hunter arms
9:25 hotel
9:27 see the hotel sign up top there
9:29 used in the
9:30 classic
9:31 hershey gordon lewis horror film 2000
9:33 maniacs
9:35 prominently in that film which you know
9:37 that that movie went on to inspire
9:39 a lot of other
9:41 horror directors
9:42 the godfather of gore they called
9:44 hirscher gordon
9:46 inside the hunter arms also there was a
9:48 scene in the waterboy and superboy
9:50 inside here as well and in the in front
9:52 of here
9:53 the waterboy scene is the party scene
9:55 when the colonel sanders looking teacher
9:58 comes back down the staircase with the
9:59 black eyes
10:00 and henry winkler's talking to the other
10:02 the other players about you know the
10:05 game they had just played they had one
10:06 they were having the party and then he
10:08 saw the two girls he said i see a lot of
10:10 girls i see a lot of guys too and
10:13 approaching the former big d's bar where
10:16 my band
10:17 played quite a few shows right in here
10:19 it's now an antique store and next to
10:21 big d's the former big d so imagine like
10:24 a circle pit slam dancing right inside
10:27 here my punk band
10:29 played in there we always had a decent
10:31 following locally but once we toured no
10:33 one knew who we were but that's usually
10:34 how it goes we were kind of like local
10:36 heroes
10:38 here in the area i say heroes
10:40 draw like maybe 100 100 people give or
10:42 take this used to be a tattoo place
10:44 called i don't remember what it was
10:46 called it was a tattoo place was here
10:48 that we played
10:49 inside of
10:50 and no one has ever lived up there as
10:52 far as i know but we actually played
10:53 inside here as well i think there might
10:55 even still be a hole in the wall where
10:56 someone's knee went through it used to
10:58 be a little deli there now a massage
11:00 shop
11:01 where i would get a sandwich every once
11:02 in a while and this is where i spent
11:05 many years in fact i've stated a lot of
11:07 this before but it's been a while since
11:09 i kind of looked back on saint cloud
11:12 so some might not know this this is
11:14 where i made the decision
11:16 to quit the last
11:17 job i ever had when i punched a clock
11:19 and move into my van
11:21 and i tested it out i lived in the the
11:23 last three windows up here where my
11:25 apartment there's two apartments across
11:26 the top i would enter into this door
11:29 and i decided you know what i'm going to
11:30 give up my apartment take that money
11:32 that i'm spending on rent
11:33 and i'm just going to travel with it and
11:35 start this youtube thing
11:37 it worked out pretty well in hindsight
11:40 it worked out pretty dang well i'm doing
11:41 all right
11:42 my van used to be parked right over here
11:44 unless there was street cleaning and
11:45 then i would park it over there in that
11:48 community lot
11:50 in the distance
11:52 but my window my bedroom was that far
11:54 far corner there and many times i sat
11:57 right here on this very stoop
12:00 and just enjoyed the evening i would get
12:01 off work worked at a feed store about a
12:03 mile away i would just sit right here
12:05 had a key to this door
12:07 go up the staircase
12:08 fisherman in the fridge
12:11 it's a deep cut if anyone knows it
12:14 filmed all those right in here
12:19 yep
12:19 some good memories through here
12:21 in fact there used to be a ladder that
12:24 was going up to the roof up here
12:26 the ladder has been removed but i was
12:27 always worried someone's going to climb
12:29 the ladder
12:30 get on that roof and then break into my
12:32 apartment so i put a
12:34 no trespassing sign there and i put a no
12:36 trespassing sign here
12:38 those have been removed and finally the
12:40 ladder has been removed so
12:42 the new residents probably talked the
12:44 landlord into finally getting rid of
12:45 that ladder and around the front view
12:46 those three windows and the two on the
12:48 side
12:50 that was where my television was and my
12:52 couch and all that it was a little one
12:54 bedroom
12:56 there was a really nice lady that owned
12:57 a coffee shop here
12:59 it's no longer a coffee shop but i would
13:01 go over here occasionally and also she
13:03 was kind enough to leave
13:05 the wi-fi on all night so i never had
13:07 wi-fi i would just
13:09 use the coffee shop's wi-fi because
13:12 i was directly across from it
13:15 that was a long time ago
13:18 it's been 11 years at least since i've
13:20 moved out here since i moved out of the
13:21 spot and back when i lived down here
13:24 the brickwork was not exposed like this
13:26 is some of the original brickwork it was
13:28 repaved over
13:30 and a lot of the town folks said we want
13:31 the original brick work back so this has
13:33 only been done within the last 10 years
13:35 where they've removed the overlay of the
13:37 concrete now the brick is back all right
13:39 finished my coffee got the scooter out
13:42 haven't used this in a while since my
13:44 road trip still got a little dirt on
13:45 there probably should have wiped the
13:46 dirt off where i put in the back of my
13:48 car let the kick stand up
13:51 and you do a little scooter tour around
13:54 stc i also recall probably about five or
13:56 six years ago
13:58 there was a little bit of
14:00 a little bit of hoopla they were gonna
14:02 they were gonna build a skyscraper right
14:04 here it was all of the newspapers i
14:06 thought there's no way that's gonna
14:08 happen
14:09 and i said it's not gonna happen i put
14:11 it out there
14:12 that i did not think
14:14 saint cloud florida would have a
14:15 skyscraper this soon
14:18 and it's you know
14:19 with just based on the population and
14:22 how many people are down here and i was
14:24 i was correct the skyscraper
14:26 five years or so later after they
14:28 announced it still not there
14:36 didn't happen ah yes morse market
14:36 or is the locals and i called it moore's
14:38 market
14:39 but it's really spelled morse market
14:41 this place is a rite of passage for
14:44 anyone that lives in this town or lives
14:45 in this town you know this place really
14:48 well on the weekends
14:49 this place is a beehive of activity
14:51 everyone going in
14:53 and getting their beverages in fact
14:55 there's still a sticker down here
14:57 for dna energy drink which i don't even
14:59 know if they make that anymore you place
15:01 that here because one of the guys in my
15:03 band worked for that energy drink
15:05 company
15:07 so we would always you know put stickers
15:09 and they would probably they probably
15:10 even sold it in here at one point
15:13 right here on this or i don't think
15:14 there's orlando sentinels in this thing
15:16 anymore
15:18 interesting
15:19 an old newspaper box
15:21 moore's market is open though
15:23 it is open for business now here's
15:25 something i did not know until now now
15:28 i've always known about handyman
15:30 hardware
15:31 but there's a new mural right here by
15:33 this door
15:35 that shows a little bit of the history
15:36 also there's my shadow
15:40 the only reason i'm showing that is
15:42 because
15:43 i don't want to show everyone driving by
15:44 in their cars not every not every single
15:46 person
15:47 this used to be cobb cobble's garage
15:51 now i never knew that i know a lot about
15:54 from residing here for so long but i did
15:56 not realize this was kabul's garage
15:58 before it was handyman hardware
16:01 a hardware store that has been around
16:02 for as long as i can recall the building
16:05 was built back in 1914
16:07 50 by 100 foot structure was the longest
16:09 single floor space in the city at that
16:11 time the gas pump was on the edge of the
16:13 road
16:14 leaving your car on the road as you
16:16 filled the tank what the heck
16:18 that is pretty dang awesome
16:21 i did not realize so there's the gas
16:23 pump there on the other end
16:25 established
16:26 1914.
16:32 pretty cool corner of massachusetts and
16:32 10th this always makes me laugh too the
16:34 street sign over there is proportionate
16:36 for gravity's sake on either side
16:39 but the one here on this corner
16:41 big difference
16:51 very lengthy to one side
16:51 look how long this side is on this one
16:58 i don't know why that's so funny and
16:58 approaching this building which was also
17:01 one of the original ones here in town
17:03 used for a number of different things
17:06 the upstairs was something different
17:07 than the bottom stairs which was another
17:09 general store
17:14 i have a book
17:14 that kind of gives the history of the
17:16 town that's just kind of how i know some
17:17 of it you will rarely see the gar
17:20 memorial hall open
17:22 it's never open
17:23 i don't even know if i've ever seen it
17:24 used
17:26 but it is on the national register
17:28 of historic places
17:32 looks like a new sign so that might be
17:34 oh
17:36 i didn't realize that was going to like
17:37 dip off the sidewalk there kind of
17:38 surprised me
17:40 but right there
17:41 it is now on the national registry of
17:42 historic places
17:44 and even more brick over here see this
17:46 is all brick
17:48 within the last 10 years or so
17:51 the brick has made an appearance again
17:53 the original brick which is good and i'm
17:55 back over to where i began the video
17:58 getting a better look at this kind of
18:00 rusted out relic here an econo line
18:03 it's a nice van
18:05 kind of reminds me of the van from
18:08 texas chainsaw the first the 74.
18:11 look at this though this is awesome
18:20 there's a chevy truck
18:22 another chevy el camino right there
18:27 and almost a hot rod style
18:30 over on the end not only well there's a
18:32 blue hot rod
18:33 over there but then also look at this
18:35 rusted out
18:37 relic right here this is awesome look at
18:39 this
18:40 this is cool
18:46 raddus
18:46 horriblus
18:47 there's oh there's the there's bl's
18:49 above there
18:54 wow this is nice
18:54 and then around the back look at these
18:56 it almost looks like kind of like a
18:58 turbo
18:59 style looking style
19:01 there's another
19:02 another devil there
19:04 evil clown
19:17 all rusted out
19:17 very vintage
19:19 oh look at this
19:25 right here on the wheel well
19:31 and then where the front license plate
19:32 goes is a
19:33 there's a bat
19:35 and a clown
19:46 that is very low to the ground very low
19:46 like maybe in only an inch or two
19:49 probably an inch i would say
19:51 from the ground
19:52 lowrider if ever there was one and right
19:55 here off the main thoroughfare highway
19:56 192 also known as erlo bronson and 13th
20:00 street
20:01 is another sign that is proportionately
20:04 awkward while discussing things that get
20:06 talked about by locals and you never
20:08 know if are true or not true
20:10 this building was built from what i
20:12 heard from a lot of friends and other
20:14 locals
20:18 by a
20:18 lottery winner who was a
20:21 cook
20:22 and won the lottery so opened a place
20:24 called juicy lucy's it's now a family
20:27 dentistry
20:29 it was only open for a short time six
20:30 months maybe a year at most
20:32 and that was in the late night mid to
20:35 late 90s
20:37 and the reason i really even bring that
20:38 up or recall that
20:41 is because during that time frame in the
20:43 mid 90s
20:44 i had some friends that were in a couple
20:46 punk bands
20:48 and one of the rare times that the saint
20:50 cloud band shell which is now taped off
20:53 for whatever reason
20:54 was you oh it's wet paint
20:57 was utilized very rarely maybe two or
21:00 three times
21:01 in my memory and recollection have i
21:03 ever seen anything happening here at the
21:05 band shell
21:06 but back in the mid 90s
21:09 there was a punk show here
21:11 in fact i was right in here throwing my
21:13 very skinny weight around back then i
21:15 was skin and bones
21:16 now i'm
21:18 definitely the opposite of that
21:22 slam dancing right in this area and all
21:24 of us kept going over to juicy lucy's to
21:27 get free waters and they ran out of cups
21:29 they were not happy that their cups
21:32 were gone
21:34 you know no one had any money
21:36 but free water is always good so
21:39 here is a better late than never thank
21:42 you
21:43 to juicy lucy's for keeping us hydrated
21:46 right over kept walking over there in
21:47 between bands
21:49 see if i can find a photo from that day
21:50 and thankfully i still have it on my
21:52 phone right here now notice the
21:55 erected plaque down there
21:57 and this scrawny
21:59 skinny
22:01 jean wearing fellow is me
22:04 in the mid 90s
22:06 throwing my skinny weight around
22:12 and side note over here
22:12 this is king wuveen
22:14 if you know you know right over here in
22:16 the corner rocking out on the guitar
22:18 good friend of mine
22:19 since those days
22:22 well i don't i refer to him by his real
22:24 name but a lot of people call him
22:26 king woovia
22:29 good buddy of mine stood right here on
22:31 this stage and that was before i even
22:33 picked up the bass guitar and attempted
22:35 to play it i used that term loosely
22:37 because i was never very good even when
22:38 i was in a band i could do i would i
22:41 could hold my own but
22:43 definitely not a musician by most
22:44 people's standards but that was before
22:46 that was even a twinkle in my eye
22:49 approaching me purchasing a musical
22:51 instrument
22:52 and doing the whole band thing sometimes
22:54 i do miss touring
22:56 being in a band i don't know if it's
22:58 something i would do
22:59 full time down the road
23:02 but i think about it strapping back on
23:04 the guitar starting another band
23:07 bringing another band back
23:09 joining former bands who knows
23:12 but it
23:13 this i'm just thinking out loud but it
23:15 does get in my head sometimes
23:17 i do miss playing little little dive
23:19 bars and just touring you never know
23:22 what the future holds but stuff like
23:24 this always kind of kind of misses
23:26 missed the scene
23:28 missed the punk scene a little bit
23:29 built in 1952
23:32 was probably the wildest event that ever
23:34 took place here in fact
23:36 we were stage diving off of this
23:38 it was probably only maybe 200 people
23:40 total scattered throughout the entire
23:43 premises
23:44 so we had to basically jump up on stage
23:46 and say come to the front get to the
23:49 front and a bunch of us would go to the
23:50 front and then we would leap off if i
23:52 staged over now
23:54 i would snap someone's neck with my body
23:56 weight
23:57 i'm not going to do that
24:03 i'm kind of curious as
24:03 that image
24:04 that image i don't know what just sounds
24:06 but
24:08 is this paint wet or is the sign been
24:10 here a while i'm not going to test out
24:11 that theory
24:13 you don't want me stage diving in this
24:15 day and age i'm
24:16 way heavier than i used to be i used to
24:19 be thin
24:20 i just got to reminiscing and thinking
24:22 and recalling
24:24 somewhere out there
24:25 there is a video
24:27 of this day
24:29 i don't know where it is it doesn't
24:30 belong to me somewhere there is a video
24:33 ah yes
24:34 sipping dip
24:36 another st cloud staple
24:39 used to be like a 7-eleven at one time
24:41 but i've always noted a sip and dip it's
24:43 kind of interesting but i worked at two
24:45 places within this series of blocks
24:47 one in the late 90s mid to late 90s i
24:50 worked at a cabinet shop
24:51 which has since closed
24:53 but right inside there i would take
24:54 pieces of wood and cut them and put them
24:57 together into drawers and whatnot now a
24:59 boat boat shot i got laid off because i
25:01 was not very good
25:03 at doing
25:04 anything that when it goes to making
25:06 cabinets
25:07 and then years later the last job i ever
25:09 worked
25:10 you know or punch the clock i should say
25:13 is right down here
25:14 and it was a farm and ranch supply
25:16 stores not the same owners anymore in
25:18 fact totally different name
25:20 even though it is a currently a feed
25:22 store
25:24 the one i worked out
25:27 closed and then another one took over so
25:29 just the building remains used to store
25:31 the round bales right over there where
25:32 that truck is parked and those bay doors
25:34 would be open and you load people's hay
25:36 in the back this is not the back side of
25:38 water this is the back side of the feed
25:40 store i worked out spent over five years
25:42 full time
25:43 here at this place
25:44 now back over close to where my
25:46 apartment was just a couple blocks away
25:48 bonnie lee's chicken some delicious
25:50 chicken
25:52 if you're ever in the mood for that and
25:53 then this area but this laundromat here
25:55 because i did not have a washer and
25:56 dryer at my place
25:58 i would go in there about once a week
26:00 and do my laundry stand out front just
26:02 like that person standing up front just
26:04 waiting for the laundry to be done also
26:06 next to it was a pizza place called
26:07 touch of basil
26:09 still there we could get an inexpensive
26:11 slice
26:12 but nine times out of ten
26:14 what i would usually do for food
26:18 would be frequent
26:20 to save a lot
26:27 i was on a very strict budget
26:30 i would go in and buy dollar
26:32 pizzas
26:37 pot pies
26:37 loaves of bread
26:39 right inside that place and then i would
26:41 walk over
26:42 but basically i would drive home from
26:45 work
26:47 at the feed store take a shower
26:52 and then i'd walk back over to save a
26:52 lot get a couple days worth of food go
26:54 back and watch a dvd watch a movie
26:58 go to sleep get back up the next day
27:00 go back to work and i've pretty much
27:02 been on that same routine
27:04 since i quit working for someone i'm
27:07 gonna try to go down this dip there we
27:08 did it
27:10 more or less i wake up about the same
27:12 time
27:13 about 6 30 7 a.m every day there are
27:15 exceptions but anyone that knows me
27:16 personally
27:17 knows i am a pretty strict schedule as
27:21 far as when i go to bed at night usually
27:23 around midnight
27:24 and then wake up around 6 30 in the
27:26 morning and
27:27 try to do most of what i'm doing
27:30 you know for this if you want to call it
27:32 a job this work
27:33 that i am doing making videos i try to
27:36 make it as close to even though it's
27:37 very enjoyable i try to make it job-like
27:40 even though i'm working for myself
27:42 and i've kept that schedule since in
27:44 august 9th
27:45 2011 is the last time i worked at that
27:48 feed store
27:49 and i've kind of kept the same same kind
27:51 of hours not bankers hours was never a
27:53 banker but you get the idea
27:55 i just kind of treat what i do like a
27:58 like a job
28:02 but i'm way more motivated to work for
28:02 myself
28:03 way more motivated not making someone
28:05 else money there you go a little mural
28:07 there saint cloud florida mural right on
28:09 the side of this building that's
28:11 relatively new as well
28:14 i don't know what that racket is
28:17 time for a little more information i get
28:19 asked this pretty often i would say one
28:21 of the top two or three questions i've
28:23 always asked
28:24 is what
28:26 does adam the woo mean what in the heck
28:28 is an is a woo
28:30 is there a meaning behind
28:32 the woo
28:34 the answer
28:35 i have discussed this before but it has
28:37 been many years ago i went into detail
28:39 of this so i think it is time to
28:40 reiterate it
28:42 this is a walmart this is a walmart
28:43 super center over here which
28:45 back in my retail working days in the
28:48 i was part of a skeleton crew if you
28:51 will about 20 people who were hired to
28:54 open this now that
28:56 20 people went to about 40 people 50
28:59 people 60 people
29:02 maybe even more than that as a week or
29:04 two went by but initially i was one of
29:06 the first ones to walk into
29:08 what is now the saint cloud
29:10 walmart super center the original
29:12 walmart which was not a super center was
29:14 across the street over there where
29:16 a thrift store is and a tractor supply
29:21 and back in those days mid 90s
29:24 my girlfriend i had at the time we lived
29:25 at simpson ridge apartments up in
29:27 kissimmee
29:29 right on simpson road
29:30 and just out of boredom
29:33 at work one day
29:35 in the
29:36 not craft section but in the office
29:38 section
29:39 there was
29:40 a stamp pad set
29:42 for return mail if you're familiar with
29:45 snail mail you would put a return
29:47 address on there
29:49 by the way this is the lynx bus stop and
29:51 i'm pointing that out because there are
29:53 two
29:54 right over there there are two bus stops
29:56 the one on the far end is where i was
29:57 sitting when i came up with the name
29:59 the woo the way a stand pad set worked
30:03 was basically you would take these
30:04 little tweezers
30:05 and you would pull out rubber letters
30:08 and place them in what would
30:10 be the return address stamp
30:14 you could create whatever you wanted
30:16 it could be adam
30:17 the tree
30:19 adam the leave in fact i came up with a
30:22 lot of names similar to that probably
30:25 about 20 different names as i waited for
30:28 the bus the lynx bus to pull up right
30:31 and i just was just bored
30:34 waiting for the bus to get home down 192
30:36 to simpson road the lynx busted that
30:38 dropped off right there and i came up
30:40 with adam that we thought that's pretty
30:41 funny because i would write bands
30:45 you know i would i would get on their
30:47 mailing list you would go to but of
30:48 course before email you get all you go
30:49 to concerts you know local shows and
30:52 bands would have by the way speaking of
30:54 blink i was on a blink 182 mailing list
30:57 and i used to have i wish i still had it
31:00 a postcard
31:02 from blink
31:03 saying that they were being sued by
31:05 another group overseas group different
31:08 type of music and they had to add in
31:10 a name it couldn't be called blink
31:12 anymore i used to have that i wish i
31:13 still had it was like a handwritten hand
31:15 printed thing that is
31:17 no longer i don't know where that is
31:19 but i digress so you go to these mailing
31:21 lists
31:23 and i never wanted to like just put you
31:24 know
31:26 i didn't want to hand write it on there
31:27 so i thought let me have a nickname no
31:29 one ever gave me a nickname
31:31 growing up so i created my own nickname
31:34 that means
31:35 absolutely nothing
31:37 the woo means
31:39 nothing there is no meaning
31:41 there is a link spot right there
31:43 it's one of these very ones that i was
31:45 waiting for
31:46 it pulls into here and then goes over
31:49 to where i just was right back there so
31:51 the woo means nothing it crea i created
31:53 it in the
31:54 mid 90s the girlfriend i had at the time
31:57 we lived together she goes what do you
31:58 what is a stamp pad set and what is the
32:01 woo
32:01 i said i don't know what it is but one
32:03 day that name
32:05 will
32:05 i don't know if it'll have a meeting but
32:07 one day that that name will be
32:09 synonymous with me
32:11 for whatever reason and i thought it was
32:13 going to be through ebay because i used
32:14 to sell on ebay and my username on ebay
32:16 was adam the woo then when youtube
32:19 started i just used that username
32:21 uploaded videos of my past bands
32:24 family home videos me my mom and dad
32:27 sister things like that
32:28 all of which
32:29 has been erased
32:31 from existence i have gotten those off
32:33 of the channels when the channel started
32:34 to gain momentum i didn't want all my
32:36 personal stuff that i thought no one was
32:38 going to see i just originally used the
32:40 channel to email family and say oh look
32:43 here's the family reunion from years
32:44 back do you want to see
32:46 this footage
32:47 but as the channel kind of grew and i
32:49 started to realize that you could put
32:51 content out there i already had the name
32:53 adam the woo that originated right over
32:56 here on a stamp pad set
32:59 they probably don't even make those
33:00 stamp pad sets anymore if they did
33:02 i should buy another one
33:04 come up with another one
33:06 oh that is quite the noise
33:09 so these very benches which have new
33:11 advertisements on them obviously
33:13 is where i created the name a pretty
33:15 uneventful and anticlimactic meaning i'm
33:18 sure you thought there was something
33:19 way more intense and there was a purpose
33:23 but with most of the things i do there
33:25 is no purpose
33:26 at all
33:33 as my shadow goes by it was on one of
33:33 these very benches could have been that
33:35 one
33:36 could have been that one right here in
33:37 front of
33:38 the saint cloud walmart that i worked at
33:40 one of the many retail jobs that i had
33:44 over the course of my life
33:47 that's the answer
33:49 i'll see you in the next video thanks
33:50 for watching i'm gonna go spend some
33:52 time with my parents and have some
33:52 family time
33:54 i'll see you in the next video the vlog
33:56 is thanks so much for watching i i
33:58 really appreciate it
34:00 i really do
34:02 the vlog
34:04 is over what the heck is a woo
34:07 ah
34:08 i don't honestly don't even know
34:11 also gaston mentions the woo when he's
34:13 talking about belle maybe that was in
34:15 the back of my head even though
34:17 subconsciously
34:19 because he was gonna
34:21 and make belle his wife
34:26 i guess you could you could say it's
34:26 that
34:27 or maybe a whoo
34:29 adam
34:33 has nothing to do with the professional
34:33 wrestler
34:34 the nature boy ric flair that always
34:36 says that a lot of people say think that
34:38 too okay
34:39 i've said so much yet i've said so
34:44 i've said this a couple times but this
34:46 this is the real outro the vlog
34:49 is over
