0:03 Welcome everyone.
0:03 Adam the Woo here. As the recording of
0:05 this Tuesday, October 14th, [music]
0:07 2025, I have some things on my mind.
0:10 Talk about the future of this channel,
0:13 especially what is going to be happening
0:16 for myself and the content that I will
0:19 be putting here on the Daily Woo in
0:22 2026.
0:24 I've kind of teased a little bit of some
0:26 of the thoughts that have been rolling
0:27 around in my head, but really want to
0:30 drive the point home today
0:37 and just put it out into the open air on
0:37 what's going to happen after New Year's
0:41 of 2025. And as 2026 rears its head,
0:46 there's going to be some changes, some
0:48 drastic changes
0:50 of what I've been doing the last few
0:52 years. and kind of going back
0:56 to what I used to do with a little bit
0:58 of a twist and maybe even a deeper dive
1:00 into the stuff that I used to do. I'm
1:04 going to talk about that. I'm inviting
1:05 you to join me. Get some caffeine, get
1:08 some coffee,
1:10 and have a little walk and talk or a
1:12 little drive in mini Marge and talk.
1:20 Shall you? Good to have you here.
1:20 Current temperature 82 degrees.
1:24 Earlier this morning, I walked out on my
1:26 porch and the weather felt pretty nice.
1:29 It was like 76° this morning. A little
1:34 warmer now, but still not bad. Not bad.
1:44 Not as bad. I definitely want to preface
1:44 this just so it's clear that the plans
1:47 I'm going to be talking about will not
1:48 be starting till the beginning of 2026
1:53 which is still a little bit of a ways
1:54 off. It's only mid October. October
1:57 still, you know, par for the course of
2:00 what I've been doing. Halloween events,
2:02 theme parky stuff, some travel stuff.
2:05 And then into mid November, I will be
2:08 going to yet another country,
2:09 international country. And then while
2:11 I'm in that country into early December,
2:13 we're going to another country and
2:15 possibly a third, but definitely two.
2:19 One in November, one in December. And my
2:22 thoughts for next year in 2026, as of
2:25 right now, I don't think I'm going to go
2:26 anywhere international. It is going to
2:28 be a good old US of A year. And I'll
2:32 explain a little bit more of that. Kind
2:35 of going back to my road trip roots.
2:37 Haven't really done that in a few years.
2:40 Been on a lot of airplanes, flying for
2:43 the baseball stuff, etc. Flying for the
2:45 international stuff. And I really miss
2:48 being in an automobile and or car van,
2:52 RV.
2:53 Probably will go with the automobile car
2:56 aspect, staying in some, you know,
2:59 classic
3:00 motel type of things.
3:03 But, you know, the es and flows of my
3:05 thoughts. But next year is a full USA
3:08 year for the most part. Made by the best
3:11 barista they wrote on there. It's pretty
3:13 cool. Oh, look at this. Don't give up on
3:16 the side. I don't know if that's a Did
3:17 they write that on there or did they
3:19 just or is that like already on the the
3:21 sleeve? I mean, that was like
3:22 handwritten on there. Also, update. They
3:25 have fixed the fence over here. They
3:26 have It took a few months, but they have
3:29 now put up the new railing over here. It
3:31 was a temporary fix, but they have got
3:33 it done. It's fixed. Look at this. They
3:35 have fixed the railing here. Still have
3:37 a couple cones, but the new fence or the
3:40 new railing has been posted.
3:43 And my car has 150,000 miles on it.
3:48 So, I don't know if I'll be doing any
3:50 cross country treks in my vehicle from
3:52 now on. I could maybe do some southern
3:56 states, but I think if I go anywhere
3:57 really far, I probably have to rent a
3:59 car or change it up and get a different
4:01 vehicle.
4:06 kind of on the fence with what I want to
4:06 do. Just keep my car being a local car
4:09 or if I want to get another vehicle or
4:12 I'm just I don't know, food for thought
4:14 for to think about for a while. I've
4:16 done the RV thing before in my life.
4:17 I've done the van dwelling living in a
4:19 van thing before in my life. I think of
4:22 the two of them. The van was a little
4:24 more stealthy and more efficient. I
4:27 can't see myself at 51 years old
4:29 sleeping in the back of a van on an air
4:31 mattress. I don't know if my if I'm
4:33 ready to go back down that route. Plus,
4:35 with purchasing a house, I wouldn't be
4:37 gone full-time. And then you got to
4:39 weigh in the options with fuel and gas,
4:42 you know, well, fuel and gas prices
4:45 across the US. I will not be buying an
4:47 electric car.
4:49 Have no desire to do a road trip, you
4:51 know, through the US and then wait
4:54 around to charge a vehicle. I don't
4:56 think in my life I don't think it's
4:58 ready for that point yet to be sitting
5:00 around waiting for something to
5:02 rejuvenate and recharge. Now, I wouldn't
5:04 be against getting an electric vehicle
5:07 locally for a local car because you
5:10 could charge it at home and you wouldn't
5:11 be, you know, stressed waiting around a
5:13 half hour, 45 minutes, etc. to juice up
5:16 your vehicle. In fact, Mini Marge is an
5:18 electric cart. So, definitely not
5:20 opposed to that. But for me, go go go
5:23 when I'm doing road trips. do not want
5:25 to, you know, want have it deterred to
5:28 to charge anything up. But the reality
5:30 is I probably would just rent a car or
5:34 instead of renting a car,
5:36 maybe get another vehicle, trade my car
5:38 in and get something else that's gas
5:40 efficient and then as stated, just stay
5:42 in hotels and motel
5:45 across the across the country. That's
5:46 kind of what I'm leaning towards. So,
5:49 starting in January,
5:51 thinking maybe doing some some of the
5:53 states that are not completely cold, you
5:56 know, driving through snow and ice, not
5:58 the funnest. So, probably some southern
6:00 states, really small towns, back roads,
6:04 tiny communities, etc. And then as the
6:07 year progresses, 2026 is the 100th
6:11 anniversary of Route 66. I've done Route
6:13 66 many times, but not completed Route
6:17 66 many times. But I've been on the
6:19 mother road many, many times throughout
6:21 the course of my life. But I've only
6:23 done it from point A to point B, from
6:26 Santa Monica
6:28 to Chicago one time. I've only done it
6:32 one time, and that was in 2017.
6:36 Started at the pier, ended in Chicago.
6:42 Now, the purists, the Route 66 purists
6:44 will tell you that is not the 100%
6:47 accurate way to do it. Even though it's
6:49 one road, you can go across either side
6:52 of the road to each of the landmarks and
6:56 you know, stores, motel, etc. So either
7:01 way you go, you can still hit
7:02 everything, which I did. But if you talk
7:04 to someone who really is the purist, as
7:06 stated, they will say that you got to
7:08 start in Chicago and make your way to
7:10 Santa Monica. Yeah, there's a generator
7:12 over there, which is what I want to do
7:14 next year. And I really want to dive
7:17 deep into Route 66. Not sure what months
7:21 I will be doing that, but I would like
7:23 to go to Chicago. Now, for that, I
7:25 probably would fly to Chicago, rent a
7:27 vehicle, maybe rent an RV or maybe rent
7:30 a small car, maybe do the motel. If I
7:33 did the RV, I wouldn't have the
7:35 opportunity to be staying, you know, in
7:37 the Route 66 motel. But that is not the
7:40 only historical US ofA event that is
7:45 going to be hitting a plateau or hitting
7:47 a point next year in 2026. The signing
7:51 of the Declaration of Independence and
7:53 the birth of America be celebrating its
7:56 250th
7:58 anniversary.
8:00 What better year with Route 66 do at 100
8:04 in this great country that we live at
8:07 turning 250 years old to be hitting the
8:10 small towns, the back roads, the states
8:12 that I don't really show as much
8:16 attention in these videos as I should
8:20 used to, but been a while. I've been
8:22 preoccupied again with the baseball
8:24 stadium challenge that I did going to
8:26 all the Rays games at all 30 current
8:28 stadiums.
8:30 which I finished, you know, a year or so
8:32 ago. I have seen the Tampa Bay Rays in
8:35 all the current MLB stadiums. The only
8:37 one I have not knocked off, the Rays
8:40 played at Stein Burner Field last year,
8:42 so I did 31 stadiums seeing the Rays in
8:45 regular or postseason play. Spring
8:47 training not included. Next year or the
8:51 following year,
8:53 I'm going to need to go to Sacramento,
8:55 California to do my 32nd stadium seeing
8:58 the race, seeing the
9:00 California/Sacramento
9:02 A's until they move to Vegas. So, I've
9:04 got to do that at some point. Then I
9:06 started doing the international this
9:08 year in 2025. Got two more countries
9:10 that I want to go to, which I think will
9:12 put my total up to nine, maybe 10
9:15 countries this year. Not bad for my
9:16 first year international tra
9:19 internationally traveling,
9:22 but I'm really getting a hankering to
9:23 take it back
9:25 and see and see the country, see the see
9:28 the see the US again. It's been a while.
9:31 I feel like there's things that I've
9:33 missed, skipped past, things that have
9:35 changed in the places that I have been
9:37 before, and I want to do it at a little
9:39 bit of a slower pace. Instead of just
9:42 going state to state, doing a couple
9:43 states a week, things like that. It'd be
9:46 kind of nice to just really kind of dive
9:48 deep into some some towns that maybe
9:50 don't get a lot of attention. It's all
9:52 still in the inner workings of my brain
9:54 right now,
9:56 but it's going to happen. It's going to
9:59 happen. And I am not opposed and would
10:01 like to even meet up with folks from
10:04 towns that might know some things about
10:07 their community that maybe the world
10:10 doesn't know about or maybe it is not,
10:13 you know, prominent knowledge. Doesn't
10:15 necessarily have to be a social media
10:17 person or a vlogger or anything like
10:19 that or someone with a a written, you
10:22 know, paper or blog. could just be
10:24 someone who knows the history of their
10:27 tiny little town really well.
10:31 I'm not opposed to meeting up with
10:32 people. Now, I will say when it comes
10:35 to, you know, road trips and things, one
10:39 of my favorite things is being in
10:40 seclusion with myself and getting away
10:42 from events, you know, conventions,
10:45 theme park stuff,
10:47 populated
10:49 things.
10:51 So definitely going to need a little bit
10:53 of that mixed in as well, but it would
10:54 be kind of nice to to meet up with
10:57 others and learn some things. I don't
10:59 know a lot and you know, especially
11:02 people when they're local to their
11:04 community are going to know a lot more
11:05 than I would just kind of guessing.
11:07 Again, none of this is happening until
11:08 next year. This year, still the same
11:11 stuff.
11:12 I have to admit I am a little bit burnt
11:16 out on doing the same old same old. I
11:20 don't know if burnt out is the word, but
11:22 I need a break from doing some of the
11:24 same old same old. And I've said this
11:26 before and I know it's kind of like just
11:28 repeating myself, but doing a lot of the
11:31 same events that I usually do, it kind
11:33 of is starting to get to me a little bit
11:35 and wearing thin. I think next year I'm
11:39 probably gonna take a huge step back
11:40 from doing the Halloween events. I don't
11:43 know if I want to do another year going
11:45 to opening of HHN, going to the opening
11:47 of Not Scary, going to Halloween
11:49 conventions leading up to all that. So,
11:53 I think next year, if I do any, it's
11:56 going to be at a much smaller scale than
11:58 what I'm doing now. Much smaller scale.
12:01 I just really want to focus on on
12:04 different things.
12:06 And I just feel like it's at that point
12:07 where I've just been doing a lot of the
12:09 same things for multiple years in a row
12:12 that I just need to kind of step back
12:14 and re-evaluate and rejuvenate my soul,
12:19 if you will, on on traveling and getting
12:22 back to what I what I really enjoy. Not
12:25 saying that I do not love and enjoy what
12:26 I've been doing, but it just seems like
12:28 it's been very very one-sided. It hasn't
12:31 been a real healthy mix. And I can see
12:33 that and I understand that. And I feel
12:35 like I feel like my brain is telling me
12:38 that it's it's just time to it's time to
12:41 take it back. Time to take it back and
12:45 just take it back old school, if you
12:47 will. So, that's kind of it. It's going
12:49 to be a little bit of a change of pace
12:52 into next year. Next year, in a week
12:56 from now, don't expect what I said to be
12:58 happening because it it's not going to
12:59 going to until until January. And there
13:03 might be one or two things. Some friends
13:06 and family were kind of mentioning maybe
13:08 a cruise into next year. I don't know if
13:10 that's going to happen. I don't know if
13:12 I I personally don't know if I'm ready
13:14 for a cruise, but if other groups kind
13:17 of meld into my head and get me to kind
13:19 of change my mind a little bit. There
13:21 might be some stuff other than
13:22 Americana,
13:24 but the main focus,
13:27 that's what it's going to be next year.
13:28 So, there will be some little things
13:30 thrown in, but not going to be as heavy
13:32 of what I've been doing, you know, with
13:34 the the kind of content and the kind of
13:35 stuff I've been doing the last few
13:37 years. And I'm ready for it. And I I
13:39 have a feeling a lot of others out there
13:42 are ready for it as well. I've also
13:44 alluded to how I want to do a video
13:46 podcast one day. That is still on hold.
13:50 That is still not anything I'm going to
13:52 be doing for a while. while I'm still
13:54 healthy, financially able to travel,
13:59 I think I need to I think I just need to
14:01 keep doing what I'm doing.
14:04 And I love I love America. I love the US
14:07 of A. I love traveling. I love seeing
14:10 the countries. I love learning history.
14:13 And I love just being by myself on the
14:15 open road.
14:17 International travel was fun. I've
14:20 enjoyed it, but it didn't have the same
14:23 spark
14:25 that the US travel for me personally
14:29 has had in the past, and I miss that.
14:32 Again, the international stuff is great.
14:34 I'm looking forward to where I'm going
14:35 in November and December, but it did not
14:37 have the didn't have the feeling I
14:40 thought it would, if that makes any
14:42 sense. There was something I thought was
14:44 going to be there that was not there. I
14:47 also want to tone down a little bit how
14:49 many times I go to Southern California a
14:51 year. And I think by not doing as many
14:54 of the haunts next year, not going as
14:56 hard on the haunts, won't spend as much
14:58 time out there. Obviously, I'm going to
15:00 go to California. Route 66 goes through
15:02 California. But yeah, time in LA needs
15:05 to kind of diminish a little less.
15:06 Again, not saying I won't be out in LA
15:09 next year, cuz I certainly will, but I
15:12 need to taper it back just a little bit.
15:17 That place is like a magnet for me. I
15:19 don't know. I just I love the Hollywood
15:21 stuff and the theme park stuff out there
15:22 and the studio stuff out there.
15:26 It's a comfort comfort place, but got to
15:28 break out of that in a little bit.
15:31 So, I'll probably be out there a little
15:32 bit next year, but not not on the same
15:34 extent it's been the last few years.
15:36 Also, I just renewed my Disneyland pass.
15:39 It doesn't have to be renewed again
15:41 until September. So, I have a Disneyland
15:44 annual pass till next September, but I
15:47 have to say the price just went up to
15:49 $1,900
15:51 for the top pass out there. And when you
15:53 don't live out there, you kind of need
15:54 the top pass cuz when you're there and
15:56 I'm staying at the DBC hotel and things
15:59 like that or I'm in the area, it's nice
16:00 to just pop in. So, I always like to get
16:03 that that top pass. But, it just went up
16:06 to,900.
16:08 I will always have a pass at Disney
16:09 World because I live here. But I'm kind
16:12 of thinking maybe next year in
16:14 September, I might not renew my
16:17 Disneyland pass. Might be the first
16:18 time. I haven't had a Disneyland pass in
16:20 a while. Like they're setting all the
16:21 stuff up on Market Street. They do an
16:24 event coming up pretty soon. And I think
16:25 it's at the end of October or maybe
16:27 early November where they drop the
16:28 leaves kind of like they do with the
16:30 fake snow, the snow in December, but
16:32 they do the leaves during fall season.
16:35 The leaves down Market Street. So,
16:37 they're setting up for that. It's not
16:38 happening now, but it'll be happening in
16:40 in the future. Got a couple very lengthy
16:42 flights to international destinations
16:46 again at the end of 2025.
16:50 Another thing, I'm really kind of tired
16:52 of being on planes all the time. I have
16:53 racked up a ton of airplane miles, gone
16:56 a lot of places. Just feels like the
16:58 last few years, this year especially
16:59 with the international stuff, but the
17:01 last few years bouncing around for
17:03 events and baseball stadiums and things
17:05 like that, I have just been on so many
17:09 airplanes.
17:10 It'd be nice to kind of take a little
17:13 bit of a step back from that. Come on,
17:14 wind. Give me the flag. Give me the flag
17:16 wind. There we go.
17:19 and just hit the open road, the good old
17:21 US of A
17:27 for the 250th anniversary of the country
17:27 and the 100th anniversary of Route 66.
17:30 And not going to not going to forget
17:33 other states, too. Not just the not just
17:35 the original ones and not just the Route
17:37 66 ones that came later.
17:40 Going to be f I have been to all 50
17:42 states, by the way. I've been to all 48
17:44 continental and also Alaska and Hawaii.
17:48 So, I've been to all of them,
17:51 but it's time to return. It's time to
17:53 return.
18:07 Ah, the Celebration Water Tower. No
18:07 water in that thing, but it's fun to
18:09 look at.
18:11 The beacon off of Highway 19, Highway
18:13 192, what I refer to as no man's land.
18:16 out of the bubble of celebration.
18:24 Nice little breeze. I bet that flag is
18:24 flying high
18:27 over at the post office. Now I'm over
18:28 here by Publix. They always like showing
18:31 some interesting things. Let's put some
18:33 stuff out there. Let's put some good
18:36 stuff out there onto the interwebs that
18:39 may not have been documented before.
18:41 Let's do that. Let's make it a thing in
18:44 26 across America.
18:46 Look at these.
18:49 That's a thing.
18:58 Yeah, it's always been my philosophy.
18:58 There's no water pumping in. Where would
18:59 the water even go? That's a fake tube.
19:07 And plus, you can see the holes in the
19:07 slats. There'd be water spilling out on
19:09 me. And what would the water in here
19:12 even be going to? Anyway, just my just
19:15 my thought process. I'm no expert.
19:18 There are experts out there with things.
19:20 I'm no expert on really anything. So So
19:22 next year a little bit be a little
19:23 different. The rest of this year, 2025,
19:26 I'll add a couple more countries here to
19:27 my country magnet,
19:30 little collection that I got going on.
19:33 Also, next year is D23 again. It was in
19:37 24. I skipped this year. D23 Expo out in
19:40 Anaheim. They've already announced the
19:42 dates for August of next year. And to be
19:45 honest, I'm not 100% sure if I'm even
19:48 going to go.
19:49 I feel like I I feel like I need a year
19:52 break from a lot of the things that I
19:55 usually do or that I've been doing for
19:57 the last few years. So, get back into
20:01 get back into the road tripping. Less
20:03 flights. I will still take I will still
20:05 take some flights and I will still do
20:08 some events, but a dramatic tapering
20:11 back. If you will, I'll add some more
20:15 of my US magnets, my US road trips,
20:19 things like that. But yeah, I'm still on
20:21 the fence with maybe doing D23
20:25 next year. Maybe not doing it, not going
20:28 through the stress of trying to get
20:29 tickets and going out there. Also,
20:33 Midsummer Scream next year, I think, is
20:35 like the week before D23. So, if I did
20:38 do Midsummer and D23, then that means
20:41 I'd be in SoCal for a solid two weeks,
20:44 which should kind of just get me back
20:46 into that same rut again. So,
20:49 I'm thinking maybe maybe not going to
20:51 either one of those again. And I'm on
20:53 the fence with it, but
20:56 it' be kind of nice to to mix things up
20:58 a bit and take it back
21:01 take it back to the the old days, if you
21:03 will. At least for a year. Try it for a
21:05 year,
21:07 you know, with the with the the major
21:09 events of anniversaries of next year
21:11 with the 250th anniversary of America
21:15 and the 150th or the 100th anniversary
21:18 of Route 66.
21:21 But that's going to do it for today.
21:22 Thanks for watching. I'll see you in the
21:24 next video, a vlog.
21:52 Ah, there's some great places in
21:52 America.
