0:20 down by a vehicle in this exact location

0:26 secure caution tape stopping any vehicle

0:30 from turning in here and going down this

0:33 little incline here at the penta Hills

0:37 Mall which for us back to the future

0:39 self-proclaimed offici and AOS is known

0:41 as the Twin Pines

0:45 mall I've done a lot of Vlogs here at

0:48 this filming location mall and today I'm

0:50 joined by Madame the woo we are here on

0:53 this Sunday October 18th 2015 standing

0:56 in the parking lot the Twin Pines mall

0:58 the parking lot is is actually directly

1:00 that way and I about to unveil something

1:03 that when we pulled in here we were

1:05 going to pull directly in here cuz I

1:06 always like to drive down the same spots

1:08 that Marty rolled in on his skateboard

1:12 or ran in depending on what time frame

1:14 of Back to Future one that you watch but

1:16 we could not turn in here because it was

1:17 protected by this and the reason for

1:20 that is the quenta Hills Mall in

1:22 association with the we're going back

1:24 group on Facebook the 30th anniversary

1:27 of Back to the Future and in three days

1:30 is what some people are calling back to

1:32 the future day because in part two when

1:34 they went to the Future it was on

1:36 October 21st 2015 3 days from right now

1:40 and in celebration of that day just

1:43 three short days away they have actually

1:46 converted the penta Hills Mall back to

1:49 its

1:50 1985 Back to the Future

1:53 counterpart the Twin Pines mall prepare

1:57 yourself now I'm okay you ready I'm

1:59 ready for this

2:02 sh the Twin Pines mall sign they've

2:06 actually recreated the Twin Pines mall

2:09 sign right there you do not see that I

2:12 have been out here a handful of times

2:14 probably at least a baker's dozen times

2:16 since I have lived here in California do

2:19 I swing by this mall and this has never

2:22 existed now I did a vlog a while back

2:25 probably about a week or two ago where

2:26 they put Doc Brown's Van and Truck theck

2:29 truck and van is still down there and

2:31 someone actually has a DeLorean down

2:33 there which we will actually take a look

2:34 at very soon but I wanted to focus on

2:36 this the Twin Pines mall sign at the

2:41 Twin Pines mall that is very rare and

2:44 normally there are cars driving down

2:46 here but not today there are no cars

2:48 going in or out this whole area is

2:51 completely secured and what is even more

2:53 amazing is the fact that the entire

2:55 parking lot area that they've filmed

2:57 Back to the Future one is also blocked

2:59 off and secured so we are going to be

3:01 able to wander around which normally you

3:04 cannot do because there is a 24-hour

3:06 fitness now in the movie it was not

3:07 24-Hour Fitness but lately in the future

3:10 some would say there is a 24-hour

3:12 fitness so even if you show up here at

3:13 midnight or 2 or 3:00 a.m. there is

3:16 always going to be cars in the parking

3:18 lot but today is a historic day this is

3:20 a red letter date in the history of

3:22 science because there is no vehicles in

3:26 the parking lot except for Doc Browns

3:29 and of course the DeLorean there which

3:30 is not time machine out but it's still

3:32 pretty awesome also you can see a lot of

3:34 people are dressed up as Marty McFly in

3:37 the old school Marty McFly or the 2015

3:40 hoverboard version of Marty McFly but

3:42 that's very awesome so let's let's go

3:44 down there to the parking lot and show

3:47 where some of the spots are now I will

3:49 be reiterating myself because I have

3:50 been here a number of times I came with

3:53 you and Tyler Evans Rock journalist and

3:55 we did a vlog on the 30th Anniversary

3:57 back in July when Back to the Future was

3:59 released in the theater and I brought

4:01 the little DeLorean I recreated the

4:02 scenes but there were a lot of cars that

4:03 I had to actually deal with in the

4:05 parking lot and I also showed up and I

4:07 actually showed when they brought Doc's

4:09 van back here probably about two weeks

4:11 ago but today I had to do another Vlog

4:14 in celebration of what they they're

4:15 actually calling today the point of

4:17 Hills mall is actually deeming this Back

4:19 to the Future appreciation day and that

4:22 is why all these people are out here

4:24 appreciating what I have appreciated for

4:26 30 plus years back to the future part

4:29 one is my favorite I do like Back to

4:31 Future 2 and three and a lot of people

4:33 will say oh well the the the mall

4:35 parking lot was not used in 2015 and

4:39 that is true but it is a very good

4:41 congregational area for us back to the

4:44 future nerds to actually coincide and

4:47 actually kind of like fraize and get

4:49 together and hang out and nerd out

4:51 together so let me show you this that

4:53 you normally do not see so in this see

4:55 where this row of cars is is where Marty

4:57 is actually running from the Libya

5:00 the libyans are actually chasing him in

5:02 that same area and they're turning

5:05 basically where that car is and then

5:07 Marty drives through the parking lot

5:09 getting it up to 88 mph and then zooming

5:12 to the left of Doc's vehicle basically

5:14 where those people are getting their

5:16 picture taken if this was 1985 in and

5:19 Back to the Future they would be getting

5:20 run down by Marty and the DeLorean then

5:23 soon past that is when he goes when the

5:26 Flames start and he smashes into the fox

5:28 photo lab and then the I crash into

5:30 there was just past those little trees

5:33 and where the parking lot actually now

5:34 starts but from here on it all

5:37 completely cleared out and of course Doc

5:39 and Marty would have been standing right

5:41 here and Doc set those famous lights the

5:44 famous line when this baby hits 88 mph

5:47 you're going to see some serious you

5:49 know what that was actually basically

5:51 right here and they were standing

5:53 staring straight ahead and the DeLorean

5:56 would have actually been speeding

5:58 speeding towards us right here at a very

6:00 rapid pace so basically if we come back

6:03 here we can actually stand in the same

6:05 exact spots not being hindered by any

6:08 vehicles in the parking lot cuz there's

6:09 no cars parked here but we can actually

6:12 stand basically right about here is

6:15 where they were standing so Doc and

6:17 Marty would have been standing here of

6:18 course the DeLorean would have like

6:20 exploded into time travel mode and then

6:23 the DeLorean disappears and Flames along

6:26 the ground going underneath Marty and

6:28 Doc's legs speeding off that way right

6:31 in here there would be the out of time

6:34 license plate spinning around right in

6:36 here and then of course Marty picks it

6:38 up you disintegrated heinstein calm down

6:41 Marty I didn't disintegrate anyone all

6:43 happened right in here and then of

6:46 course he's doing the whole Spiel you

6:48 telling me that you built a time machine

6:49 out of a DeLorean of course I buil a

6:51 time machine to aitar why I do it some

6:53 style besides the stainless steel

6:54 construction made the flux dispersal it

6:56 all explodes and then the DeLorean

6:59 slides into here dock opens up the door

7:01 it's very very cold all that happened

7:04 right in here and it's very awesome that

7:05 you can actually come out here now and

7:07 I'm guessing all throughout the weekend

7:09 probably they're going to have this all

7:11 blocked off for letting people take

7:14 photos up close with the car itself or

7:17 recreate the scenes and I'm thinking

7:19 maybe at some point I know there are

7:22 some events for the we're going back

7:23 Fest but I think at some point there

7:24 will be a plethora of DeLorean all in

7:27 here and I'm hoping at nightfall at some

7:29 point there will actually be a

7:31 recreation scene of the DeLorean being

7:34 chased by the libyans and of course the

7:36 libyans came straight down that little

7:38 incline over there there's Marty right

7:40 there Marty right there

7:42 Marty good to see you so this is it and

7:46 in the movie This of course was not a

7:47 fitness a fitness place but all this can

7:49 be seen in the background so pretty

7:51 awesome you were here before it's almost

7:52 like deja vu it's almost like you went

7:54 back in time you were here for that 30th

7:57 30th anniversary of the celebration of

7:59 Back to the Future hitting theaters and

8:02 now we are back as well so check check

8:36 DeLorean and the sports Almanac which is

8:45 Christopher Lloyd I wonder if

8:46 Christopher Lloyd was here toight

8:48 actually Christopher Lloyd might

8:49 actually be inside but you can see

8:51 someone has a DeLorean sign by Chris

8:54 Lloyd right there maybe he's inside

8:57 maybe Chris Lloyd will appear and

8:58 actually unil maybe he will unveil the

9:01 time machine that is in the back I would

9:03 lose my mind right now Chris Lloyd came

10:16 first time I ever showed up here luckily

10:19 Justin scard and I were here in the

10:20 middle of the night and there was

10:22 actually a Time machined out DeLorean

10:25 that a gentleman had brought yeah he was

10:27 driving around the parking lot

10:29 and security stopped him and I filmed

10:32 him right in here just look up busted

10:33 Back to the Future mall and you can see

10:36 that video that I did and look up the

10:37 part one filming locations and the part

10:39 two filming locations as well and you

10:42 can check all that out so let's just get

10:44 a moment of quietness now and show you

10:46 guys the unabashed

10:49 untouched Twin Pines mall parking lot

10:52 without any vehicles and cars in it by

10:56 the way right there was where the Fox

10:59 photo lab was that the DeLorean would

11:01 not have smashed the DeLorean went back

11:03 in time and then the Libyan van smashed

11:05 into it it was actually right here so

11:07 the DeLorean sped by disappeared into

11:12 1955 and then the libyans would have

11:15 came by and crashed directly right here

11:18 into the fox photo lab so let's get one

11:21 last look here the Twin Pines

11:30 Mall

11:30 I never thought in my life first of all

11:32 I never thought in my life I would

11:33 actually live near any of the filming

11:36 locations from my favorite movie Back to

11:37 the Future but also be able to visit on

11:40 a very common occurrence occasion the

11:44 mall from Back to the Future and never

11:47 did I actually think that I would

11:48 actually be able to stand here with no

11:50 vehicles I never thought that they would

11:52 actually have this all blocked off so

11:55 this is a rare this is a historic

11:58 occasion

12:28 sounds the one and only Twin Pines

12:39 model that is not a DeLorean you heard

12:39 crank behind me that is not a DeLorean

12:42 crank behind me that's actually a normal

12:43 vehicle but I got excited cuz I heard

12:45 the car c start up I thought maybe a

12:47 DeLorean okay back to the moment of

13:06 Mall from

13:08 1985's Back to the

13:10 Future I don't know if I mentioned this

13:12 but I said when I was pulling in I saw

13:15 they put the Twin Pines mall sign there

13:16 I actually told you that I was actually

13:18 starting to shed a little bit of a tear

13:20 yeah I I wasn't even kidding when I was

13:22 saying that I actually got a little

13:23 Misty eye these eyes started to shed a

13:25 little bit of tear when I saw that they

13:27 actually put the Twin Pines

13:30 sign at the cusp and the threshold of

13:33 the entrance to the pointa Hills Mall

13:36 that's how much I love back the future a

13:37 lot of my childhood memories stem from

13:40 that movie watching it having the VHS

13:42 tape watching the VHS tape and knowing

13:45 every nook and cranny of how the VH tape

13:48 would crack and the audio would change

13:50 at certain parts which is very

13:52 interesting because back in the day pre-

13:54 DVDs and pre- Blu-rays you actually

13:56 would watch a VHS and when you was it so

13:59 much certain things would happen to the

14:00 VHS that they would become part of the

14:02 movie like there would be a a crimp or a

14:05 or a audio deficiency in the in the

14:08 videotape and that would somehow become

14:10 part of the movie ingrained in your mind

14:13 and one thing I remember back from 1985

14:14 86 when I had that first VHS is a scene

14:17 right here when the DeLorean comes out

14:20 of Doc's car Marty McFly and Einstein

14:24 the dog are sitting right here Marty has

14:26 the skateboard kicks the skateboard to

14:28 the side you see this View and then it

14:30 goes back and you see the DeLorean

14:32 pulling out of Doc's vehicle and the

14:34 shot actually would have been from right

14:37 over here and as the DeLorean pulls out

14:40 all the smoke and the lights and the

14:43 Ambiance of the Nightfall of the Twin

14:45 Pines mall around that time the VHS that

14:49 I owned actually started to like twist

14:51 and crack so there was an audio and

14:52 there was one of those weird lines that

14:55 went up the screen so when I watch that

14:57 now on Blu-ray and DVD I always wait for

15:01 that to happen and it never actually

15:03 happens that is a memory does that ever

15:04 happen to you guys a memory from my

15:07 childhood that actually was right here

15:09 as this gate pulled down and the

15:11 DeLorean pulled

15:17 out so there you

15:17 go remembering the past or the

15:24 future this is awesome you know another

15:24 interesting thing too here's another

15:26 interesting fact that I don't think I've

15:27 ever shared in a vlog if you look up

15:29 here on this sign it says

15:31 F1 and in the movie when the DeLorean is

15:34 parked it's a very low angle looking up

15:38 as the DeLorean starts to spin it spin

15:40 its wheels and head towards Doc and

15:42 Marty that are standing right over there

15:45 you actually see that F1 sign in the

15:49 movie Down Low the shot would have been

15:52 kind of down here but closer up and the

15:54 DeLorean is basically parked right over

15:57 here and as had the remote control

16:00 turning the DeLorean on and spinning it

16:03 you can actually see that pull and that

16:05 F1

16:07 sign so the DeLorean would have been

16:09 right about here the shot I'm referring

16:11 to was down this way so basically like

16:14 this the DeLorean was spinning its

16:16 wheels and it took off in Rapid speed

16:20 directly towards Marty and Doc that were

16:22 standing now look at this see I'm glad I

16:25 did not stop the Vlog because this is

16:27 what it looked like in the movie just

16:29 imagine past your you know extended

16:31 Vision those cars being gone but this

16:33 first 150 yards here leading up to those

16:36 cars is empty just as it was in the

16:39 movie so imagine Marty driving the

16:41 DeLorean let's see if you KN you you

16:44 know what's can do 90 right along here

16:47 they turn the corner as they turn the

16:49 corner they take the rocket launcher out

16:52 turns the corner right here and speeds

16:54 directly that way going up to 88 milph

16:58 and going back to the

17:02 past which obviously is very interesting

17:04 as well it was the Twin Pines mall at

17:06 the beginning of the movie then it

17:07 became the Lone Pines mall because when

17:08 he goes back to Old Man Peabody's

17:10 property he knocks down a pine tree

17:12 making it Twin Pines to the Lone Pine

17:16 which is a little unknown fact that a

17:17 lot of people know now but back in the

17:19 day it was kind of a weird little

17:21 unknown Back to the Future

17:22 fact pretty crazy to stand here all this

17:27 time 30 years later

17:33 things have certainly changed around

17:33 here remember this is all Farmland as

17:36 long as I can see oh man P everybody

17:39 says I sound like Seinfeld everybody
