0:04 what the heck am I witnessing right now
0:04 look at
0:06 that there's a million of
0:14 them
0:14 Hitchcock would be proud welcome
0:17 everyone Adam the woo here coming to you
0:20 from Texas there's someone outside my
0:23 window isn't there he's got an axe he's
0:27 got an axe it's my second channel daily
0:29 vlog it's the daily wo one thing this
0:33 state is known for is their oil
0:37 rigs Texas
0:40 T that's what the Beverly Hillbillies
0:43 taught me to call it now I'm asking cuz
0:44 I don't know is that where the oil
0:46 spouts out from and shoots straight
0:49 upward funing upward Towards the Sky
0:54 there must be some sort of turn switch
0:57 on
0:58 that right for minute I thought I was
1:00 hitting some major rush hour traffic
1:02 going into bont but now I'm realizing
1:06 it's just a wreck up
1:12 here now here's something you don't see
1:12 every day a Muffler Man with the face of
1:16 Mad Magazine's own Alfred E Newman don't
1:19 get me wrong I've seen plenty of Muffler
1:21 Men in my day it is a big part of
1:23 roadside Americana but none are as happy
1:27 as this gentleman he's wearing a sweet
1:29 hat
1:30 and it looks like he even has an earring
1:33 there it's hard to tell but I think I
1:36 think he has an earring what a cool dude
1:38 even Hurricane Rita when it hit the
1:40 coast of Texas could not take him down
1:43 he's indestructible be careful sir be
1:45 careful that guy is a little mad I need
1:49 to go that way but it doesn't look like
1:52 that train is moving at all it's just
1:54 sitting there
1:55 stationary it's been doing that for a
1:58 few minutes
2:06 Wonder maybe I should
2:06 find an alternate
2:09 route the solution is to go under the
2:13 train
2:15 tracks right next door to the fire
2:18 Museum of Texas sits one of the largest
2:22 working fire hydrants in existence after
2:25 doing a little bit of research I
2:27 discovered that it was created in
2:28 California and then moved here after the
2:31 re-release of 101 Dalmatians as The
2:34 Story Goes this thing used to sit on
2:37 Disneyland property which brings up a
2:40 couple interesting questions in my mind
2:43 when it was in Anaheim did it work could
2:46 you hook up a huge hose to it and why
2:49 did they move it here once it was moved
2:51 to its now permanent home the city came
2:53 out in droves and they opened up the
2:55 water valves shooting water into the air
2:58 a celebration of Majestic
3:14 proportions that is Thomas Edison and
3:14 right here at the Travis Street
3:16 substation they have a museum dedicated
3:19 to
3:27 him in theal pornograph and a little
3:27 piece of Po Mary had a little lamb
3:31 speaking quite a flow and everywhere
3:33 that Mary went the lamb was sure to
3:53 worked I assisted bying device that I
3:53 can speak to and it can speak to me it
3:56 is semi-transparent so I cannot touch it
4:01 I cannot see you there in the future but
4:03 I understand you can see me here in your
4:06 past we do not have access to the
4:08 science of the future but from what I'm
4:12 experiencing the future must be amazing
4:15 I must say I am jealous not to be there
4:17 in your time but I have much to do here
4:20 I had no idea I was going to travel
4:22 through time to talk to Mr Edison didn't
4:25 see that
4:26 coming I just got news that the artigon
4:29 mark marketplace where I did my Meetup
4:31 in Orlando and also where I got these
4:34 sweet glasses it's closing kind of a
4:36 bummer I really like that place they
4:38 just announced that in 2 weeks it will
4:41 be non-existent anymore such a cool idea
4:43 for a mall well they called it the
4:45 antimall a lot of cool shops in there
4:46 including some friends of mine who have
4:48 a button and vintage shop go stop by
4:52 before it's too late I've gotten a very
4:54 very late start today when it comes to
4:57 getting a coffee that is because I
4:59 wanted to wait until I found one of
5:04 these Texas's own shiply
5:13 Donuts from what I'm told the thing to
5:13 get here is something called a colachi
5:16 and this is a kach woo that's hot that's
5:26 hot and inside is a hot dog I bit into
5:26 it thinking it was going to be ham and
5:27 cheese it's like a hot dog and cheese
5:35 jez
5:35 waa that's not
5:51 bad welcome to Gator Country uh-oh look
5:51 at the size of that guy I know this
5:53 place is going to be good cuz the road
5:54 just getting in
5:56 here is a little bit bumpy an
5:59 interesting fact fact about this place
6:00 this is the home of the largest
6:03 alligator anywhere in the state to gain
6:05 entry you have to go through the Gator's
6:08 mouth and his
6:10 teeth is that blood I was just noticing
6:12 off on the distance there there's a
6:14 complaint bucket but you have to swim
6:17 past this guy to get there I don't have
6:20 any complaints something happened to
6:21 this guy's
6:23 eyeball look at it there what happened
6:26 to your eye buddy what's his name his
6:28 name's Spooner
6:30 seven years old do you just like hold
6:31 him all day long yeah he's used to being
6:34 held you're just like holding him like a
6:36 little baby
6:38 mhm oh my gosh I don't want to get any
6:40 closer aren't you terrified holding him
6:43 nope he's like he's like your friend mm
6:45 he's kind of giving me the evil eye
6:47 though he's like come on a little
6:49 closer oh my gosh it says free Gator
6:52 feed let's see what's inside
6:56 here oh my gosh it's a I thought that
6:58 was a real snake
7:00 I think I made a little bit too much
7:01 racket they're starting to come over my
7:04 way you just pick them up like they're
7:07 like it's no big deal there's a little
7:08 cat really and there's nothing on their
7:10 mouths to to keep them from biting you
7:11 nope so you just trust them you're very
7:13 trusting
7:16 guy oh my
7:22 gosh these are little babies how old do
7:22 you say these were only a few months
7:24 they're born back in September if you
7:27 get your like hand too close to the top
7:28 they so look at that
7:42 finger squirming he doesn't want to be
7:42 held no this sett down after about a
7:45 minute it's amazing they just don't turn
7:46 and like try to bite your bite your
7:47 thumb or your pinky finger or something
7:49 yeah at this age they're too young to
7:51 bite really they know if they bite you
7:53 it's not going to do anything I've been
7:54 nipped at by one of them in here and it
7:56 didn't even break the skin this is a
7:57 crocodile the way you can tell most
7:59 people can tell is because of the nose
8:01 right is there any other ways you can
8:02 tell it's a crocodile versus an
8:04 alligator well the big one is the nose
8:06 that's and also an alligator has more
8:08 teeth she only has 72 teeth while an
8:11 alligator is going to have about
8:12 80 oh yeah Little Tor this
8:21 guy what's
8:21 up he wants to come out going to close
8:24 the story he going to escape they just
8:26 keep keep hatching mhm just keep on
8:28 breeding just keep making more baby
8:30 Gators for us PR soon you're going to be
8:31 overrun by Gators yeah he disguises in
8:34 pretty well he's the same color as the
8:36 leaves mhm he actually it's a myth about
8:39 the whole color changing they actually
8:42 do it like as an emotional thing so you
8:44 kind of See's bright up a little bit
8:46 right now it means he's mad oh he's not
8:48 happy no he's not happy okay let me back
8:50 up he he doesn't like people and that is
8:53 a
8:54 tarantula now tarantulas are they
8:56 poisonous or venomous uh they do have
8:59 like all spiders have venom in them but
9:01 their venom is actually no more
9:02 important than the
9:03 beasting they actually pretty much kill
9:05 their prey by overpowering it so holding
9:08 him probably not the best idea you can
9:11 take him out no I'm good I'm just going
9:12 to I'll stay right here this is good
9:14 this is a good distance this is the
9:15 longest alligator in Texas over 13 ft
9:18 Big Al is a little bit shorter but
9:21 weighs a lot more this is Big
9:24 Tex let's see where he gets his name
9:26 right against the fence there is Big Al
9:28 over a thousand
9:30 lb just hanging
9:32 out just chilling these little Gators
9:35 are about 3 or 4 years old that is 81
9:38 years younger than Big Al cuz he's 84
9:42 right smack dab off the
9:44 Thorofare sits this but be careful
9:48 boater he's going into your M wait the
9:50 Boater's not in there he got the boater
9:53 he got the boater I always wondered what
9:55 these things eat clearly they have a
9:58 diet of pine con
10:06 oh I see him yeah he's down in there you
10:06 can see him under the silouette of the
10:07 murky
10:09 water they're stirring over
10:11 there they're stirring
10:15 about they're making their
10:17 move just hopefully not in my general
10:20 direction
10:32 there's even a special enclosure for
10:32 Nile
10:34 crocodiles crocodiles are known to be
10:37 slightly more aggressive than
10:40 alligators so it's a good thing this
10:42 chain link fence Separates Me from
10:45 them this one kind of looks like Jack
10:47 Nicholson and
10:49 Batman like the Joker I would get out of
10:52 here if I were you I would get out of
10:55 here if I were you there is a predator
10:59 lurking right there that was pretty cool
11:02 I've been to a few Gator places in my
11:04 time never been to one where they want
11:06 you to hold the reptiles when their
11:09 mouths are not closed with some sort of
11:13 harness that was slightly terrifying I
11:15 also did not know that each Gator
11:18 depending on its size has to go in an
11:20 appropriate area the guy was telling me
11:23 about Big Tex and Big Al if they put
11:26 other Gators in there with them they
11:28 kill them
11:38 terrifying well it's open and the sign
11:38 says stues could this be an actual
11:40 operating stues and it's time for
11:42 another fill
11:45 up does anyone still use these things in
11:48 reality it is very rare to find a stues
11:52 that is still open and this one has a
11:54 wall of souvenir they used to be known
11:57 for their world famous PE Deon logs I
12:00 haven't seen these in years I got myself
12:02 a white chocolate
12:04 Turtle good old
12:20 stues I still have not turned on the
12:20 fridge yet or the freezer or used the
12:23 stove I have used the microwave used a
12:25 toilet used the shower slept in the bed
12:28 every night and driven Large Marge a
12:31 long distance so far I think maybe
12:33 tomorrow possibly tomorrow or the next
12:36 day I might stay at an RV Resort just
12:40 for a couple days just to empty the
12:42 tanks juice everything up and then also
12:46 give me the opportunity to do some
12:48 laundry some RV places have laundry
12:51 facil so that's kind of what I'm
12:53 thinking over the next few days maybe
12:55 starting don't quote me on this but
12:57 maybe starting tomorrow when it comes to
13:00 the fridge I've just been traveling
13:02 non-stop stopping at a store getting a
13:04 beverage there's really no reason to run
13:07 the propane for this whole thing until I
13:10 find a place I want to be settled for a
13:11 day or two makes sense right one thing's
13:14 for certain though I definitely want to
13:15 slow down the pace that I have been
13:17 traveling at even if that means being
13:19 stationary in one town for more than 24
13:23 hours which lately seems like a crazy
13:26 idea I want to take in Texas that should
13:29 be a hashtag I want to get to the
13:32 nitty-gritty in the nooks and crannies
13:34 of this massive State and be around a
13:37 while and hit places I've never been to
13:40 and maybe you have never seen before
13:43 sound like a good
13:45 idea or maybe you don't give a either
13:49 way see you tomorrow
13:51 Vlog over
