0:04 welcome everyone Adam the woo here to
0:04 the Amazon
0:06 rainforest in the depths of the Amazon
0:10 watch out for the anaconda or even worse
0:13 than that Predator that's right come on
0:17 do it do it now come on it's my second
0:20 channel daily blog channel it's not the
0:23 Amazon rainforest you were scared for a
0:26 second I cuz she thought we were lost in
0:28 the Amazon but threat not we are
0:31 actually at the Los Angeles arboretum
0:34 inside a greenhouse and look how
0:37 fantastic this is actually let's stand
0:40 over here let's get let's get a quick
0:42 photo here of the greenery do like your
0:45 your craziest Greenhouse
0:54 face oh and you can see the
0:54 misting water
0:57 mechanisms that's actually keeping all
0:59 these plants hot hydrated and there's
1:01 something very interesting over here
1:02 check out these pitcher plants and the
1:05 reason they are called pitcher plants do
1:06 you know the reason on why they are
1:08 called pitcher plants because it looks
1:10 like you can pour something from them
1:12 right it looks like a pitcher yeah so
1:14 I'm sure all that condensation has
1:15 probably built up quite a bit of liquid
1:19 in the water sense inside there so if
1:21 you were to tip those it
1:24 probably would pour out a little bit of
1:26 water so it's like a pitcher which is
1:29 super super cool and also I like the way
1:31 these look like eyeballs it looks like
1:34 eyeballs are staring at us stop staring
1:36 at me plant stop staring at me root like
1:41 bark inside this
1:44 greenhouse so pretty cool we are at the
1:46 Los Angeles arborita and we have an
1:48 annual pass it's like $9 or $10 to get
1:51 inside here but if you have an annual
1:52 pass it's like I think $40 $50 a pretty
1:56 good deal for two people to come all
1:58 year long to the Los Angeles arboretum
2:01 so if you're in the LA Area Pasadena
2:04 area in that region the Los Angeles
2:07 arboretum is right around in that area
2:09 but I want to show you what's outside
2:11 here show you the outdoor section of the
2:15 greenhouse take a look at
2:20 this you can actually see what the
2:20 greenhouse looks like from the outside
2:23 so inside there there is so much
2:25 moisture and so much condensation and
2:27 all that air circulating in there and
2:30 make you would think that you are
2:31 actually outside but in reality you're
2:33 inside of this old school greenhouse and
2:37 there's lots of flowers lots of foliage
2:40 out here as well some fish down in here
2:43 and some beautiful waterfalls and
2:46 there's some fish out of water in fact
2:47 that's what that's called Fish Out of
2:49 Water display you can see the little
2:50 teeny tiny fish
2:54 displays all along here
3:03 so we're just wandering around today
3:03 checking out some of the sights and
3:04 sounds at the Los Angeles Arbor you
3:08 never been to this section before NP
3:10 there's many many acres at the Los
3:11 Angeles Arbor a lot of movies have been
3:13 filmed out here I've done a few Vlogs
3:16 from here as well but never been over to
3:18 this section look at this Tiki guy right
3:22 here it's like a big handcarved Tiki
3:26 just chilling here he's guarding that
3:28 Greenhouse over there but he's also
3:30 guarding this greenhouse which is not
3:33 like the Amazon it is a little bit more
3:36 Su drenched than the other one and I
3:38 think there's quite a bit less not
3:41 fumigation what do you call it when that
3:43 all the misting that was going on in
3:44 there there's a lot less of that
3:46 irrigation I don't Misty irrigation
3:49 let's go inside here check this
3:59 out see this is also indoors this is is
3:59 also a greenhouse type of
4:08 facility look at these fish down here
4:08 you see a little fish down
4:09 here like
4:16 goldfish and there's signs there saying
4:16 all the different types of foliage and
4:18 plant life so you can actually like come
4:20 out here and learn about all these
4:23 different types of plants and gizmos and
4:26 of course are these patunas are these
4:31 patunas are those
4:34 patunas are those patun wait a second
4:38 now I know are these
4:41 patunas so this place is really awesome
4:44 as you can see a lot of things that I
4:46 have very difficult time PR pronuncia
4:49 micro pyas
4:53 caloma the dainty psyched native to Cuba
4:58 is almost extinct in the wild so really
5:01 this is about one of the only places
5:03 that you can actually see it is inside
5:05 of a greenhouse that's why this place is
5:07 super awesome preserving a lot of stuff
5:10 that probably is starting to go extinct
5:12 according to this sign extinct in the
5:14 wild the Los Angeles arboretum super
5:18 awesome look at this I remember when I
5:20 went to church camp you wanted to stay
5:22 away from these cuz all these weird
5:24 creepy bugs get inside there and they
5:26 get into little sections of your body
5:28 that you do not want and they embed
5:30 themselves so we always thought they
5:32 lived in this Moss I don't know if
5:34 that's true or just an urban legend from
5:36 my Camp days when I was a child and this
5:38 kind of looks like a snake for a second
5:40 there I thought that was like a
5:42 slithering a slithering snake here but
5:44 really it's just a
5:50 stick there's some Thorn look at these
5:50 look at the size of these
5:51 Thorns these are massive Thorns look at
5:55 the size of these and they're really
5:58 well they're not too sharp but I guess
6:00 I guess if you were running at top speed
6:02 trying to escape the Amazon and you were
6:04 to hit those probably would not be uh
6:07 the best
6:08 feeling best feeling in the world but
6:10 look at this it looks like something out
6:11 of a movie it looks like something out
6:13 of a Fantasy Realm inside a plant like
6:16 area pretty beautiful little waterfalls
6:20 and plants look at this just look at
6:23 this down here this is cool
6:37 and you can see that the fans are
6:37 blowing up here so the leaves are
6:39 rustling it almost like makes you think
6:41 that there's some sort of wild animal
6:43 darting across the top of the trees when
6:45 you look at it from your peripheral
6:47 vision you would think what is that a
6:49 T-Rex coming through the Shrubbery but
6:51 it's not it's just that fan blowing up
7:00 there oh here is a part of the black
7:00 pepper family true pepper
7:02 family from South
7:04 India Sri Lanka and
7:08 Madagascar so all kind of plant-like
7:11 history out here at the Los Angeles
7:13 arom so there you have it let's
7:18 exit the green houses at the Los Angeles
7:21 Arbor what did you think I love it would
7:23 you give this a two thumbs up a one
7:24 thumbs up or two thumbs up yeah
7:27 definitely for the green houses at the
7:28 Los Angeles Arbor if you're ever in La
7:30 look this place up it's pretty
7:32 inexpensive to come out it's massive
7:34 tons and tons of acreage tons and tons
7:36 of movie History television history and
7:39 plant history that you can actually
7:41 witness inside these awesome green
7:42 houses all right we're going to say
7:44 goodbye I'll see you tomorrow please
7:45 subscribe it's absolutely free say
7:47 goodbye bye hold up your green thumb
