0:01 welcome everyone I'm at Walt Disney
0:01 World and did you know that Walt Disney
0:03 World had and you could say still has an
0:07 Airport runway it is true and it happens
0:11 to be right behind this tree line want
0:14 to check it out join me shall you
0:36 the runway is pretty easy to find just
0:39 basically right off the side of the
0:40 monil track right through the gates of
0:42 the Magic Kingdom anybody can drive up
0:45 in there it's not off limits it's just a
0:48 road that turns into the runway but it's
0:52 just right up here on the right as
0:54 you're driving along you will see the
0:55 montor rail cross over this road if you
0:59 just take a right down this little
1:01 access road you just turn right in here
1:05 and this road will actually
1:08 become the
1:10 former Runway you may have actually seen
1:13 it yourself as you're taking the monil
1:16 from the Transportation Ticket Center
1:18 heading towards Epcot as you are on the
1:21 monil off to the left of the tree line
1:25 you will notice something very
1:26 interesting what looks to be like an
1:28 unused parking lot it's actually very
1:30 simple to get to instead of turning into
1:33 the actual Magic Kingdom parking lot
1:35 just turn down this road and as you're
1:37 veering up towards this regular parking
1:40 lot right over here as you're doing a
1:42 Urn to go out just drive right down the
1:45 accessible old school airplane Runway
1:49 pretty amazing it was given the name
1:51 stall Port short takeoff and Landing
1:54 short takeoff Landing basically it was
1:57 not big enough to actually house the
1:59 plane
2:00 and huge airliners cannot actually land
2:03 here but basically If you flew into the
2:05 Orlando International Airport or the
2:07 other surrounding bigger airports you
2:09 could take a small plane and land on the
2:12 actual Runway which is actually right
2:15 over there even though it is nothing
2:16 more than a distant memory it was used
2:18 on a lot of occasions from Executives
2:20 flying in and out celebrities flying in
2:23 and out to go to Walt Disney World it's
2:25 pretty amazing and bizarre to think that
2:27 there is an actual runway on Walt Disney
2:30 World property all you have to do is
2:33 just turn right in here and drive down
2:35 this road turn into this parking lot and
2:39 then as you Veer out as you're trying to
2:41 return back to the main road you will do
2:44 a U-turn and you will actually drive
2:47 right down the old Runway as you're
2:49 driving along it just seems like you're
2:51 going down a normal road but once we get
2:54 to this little cusp in the road here it
2:58 will actually widen and this was what
3:01 began the runway starting basically
3:04 right here is where the runway
3:07 began back in the early'
3:09 70s lots of airplanes flew right through
3:13 here and
3:14 landed going to Walt Disney World to the
3:17 Magic
3:18 Kingdom and this basically all shut down
3:21 when they built the Montreal track from
3:25 Transportation Ticket Center over to
3:27 Epcot because over to the left where we
3:30 are to the left over here is actually
3:33 where the monil platform track is and
3:38 you do not want airplanes landing and
3:40 flying in next to that close to the
3:53 Montreal thanks for watching everyone I
