Weight Loss Update After Ten Days of Eating Healthy / Mystery of The Original Orange Circle Fountain

0:03 have reached a number 10 of a journey
0:06 that I am going on to eat a little
0:08 healthier consume things that are better
0:11 for me and also smaller portions in
0:14 hopes of dropping not a few pounds but
0:18 more than a few pounds and it's not
0:23 something I am documenting and showing
0:25 to the public every single day but it is
0:30 day 10 and it's time to do a little bit
0:33 of a weigh-in after I hop on the scale
0:36 and deliver the possible good or bad
0:40 news to myself and to the YouTube
0:43 universe I'll head down to walk around
0:46 the orange circle and check out some
0:48 antique stores I'm inviting you to join
0:50 me shalyah start it off at a 282 pounds
0:55 back on July 24th now I do film during
1:01 the morning into early afternoon edit at
1:04 night and then upload the next morning
1:07 so the dates I have here will be a
1:10 little bit off by a few hours well
1:13 technically almost 24 hours I was a to
1:18 sixty eight point three yesterday and I
1:22 skipped to complete days because I did a
1:25 3 day trek up to Arizona and also I
1:30 should side note some of the like day
1:33 three through day six I weighed myself
1:37 in the morning right when I got out of
1:39 the shower all I had was shorts on and
1:42 now I'm going back to the day 1 clothing
1:46 arrangement where I have pants a belt
1:50 and t-shirt so I I'm gonna guess I might
1:53 be a little higher on day 10 than day 9
2:00 but it's gonna be lower than the first
2:00 day let's do it
2:02 also add in the fact that I'm holding my
2:05 camera as well which you know may be
2:07 another close to a pound half a pound
2:11 I don't know the details but give it a
2:14 couple tries first two sixty eight point
2:18 one let's do it one more time stepping
2:23 off a round to get the best of three to
2:30 sixty eight point one okay that might be
2:34 yeah that's if that's it I'm pretty
2:35 content with that
2:36 and the third I'll see if the third
2:39 matches up there it is what two sixty
2:44 eight point one up to sixty seven point
2:51 six I think it's because I leaned over
2:53 I'm going to go with two sixty eight
2:55 point one the the balance of the three
2:59 two six eight point one nice just to
3:09 make it official two eighty two point
3:13 zero minus two sixty eight point one
3:21 total lost thirteen point nine pounds in
3:27 ten days that makes me happy
3:48 the original plaza fountain we record
3:48 circa 1870 now sets a couple blocks away
4:00 and a new fountain has replaced it we're
4:00 gonna walk down there to the circle and
4:04 I've mentioned this before but it's
4:06 pretty fascinating there's a plaque here
4:08 that confirms that as well
4:11 the challenge I've set for myself I have
4:13 slated for 40 days but in all honesty
4:16 it's gonna go farther than that you know
4:20 I will I will not stop eating healthy at
4:23 that forty day mark but that's where I'm
4:26 going to just you know that's that's
4:28 what I've set this the date stamped and
4:30 I have been eating very very light only
4:35 one meal a day
4:36 I do not snack I have not drink soda a
4:40 little bit of juice some orange juice
4:42 just to get some vitamin C but mostly
4:45 water I do have one maybe two coffees a
4:48 day with a little cream very little
4:52 sugar but the consumption of meals has
4:57 declined a heck of a lot and the reason
5:02 for that is it is easier for me everyone
5:06 is different but for me it is easier to
5:09 just skip a meal than it is for me to
5:12 eat light portions now
5:14 when I get down to my target weight of
5:17 what I am hoping to achieve then I will
5:20 go back to you know snapping a little
5:22 bit through the day adding in two
5:24 possibly three very very tiny meals and
5:30 you know have a cheat day here and there
5:33 but for now what is working and what has
5:36 always worked in the past when I have
5:38 done this but I'm going to kind of kind
5:40 of contort that that process you know as
5:44 after I get down to what I need to
5:47 it just it works for me everyone has
5:50 their different opinions and thoughts
5:52 and I have learned you know they always
5:55 say do not talk about religion and do
5:59 not talk about politics but there is a
6:01 third that should be added into that
6:04 trilogy that props arguments amongst
6:10 friends acquaintances etc etc and that
6:15 is diets diet plan everyone is very
6:20 vocal about what they think works and
6:23 what you should do what I should do and
6:28 you have to respect everyone's opinion
6:30 however everyone knows themselves better
6:33 than others and what what they can
6:37 adhere to what makes them feel good what
6:41 they can consume know some people can't
6:44 do what I do and that is just not eat
6:47 till the evening around 7 8 o'clock p.m.
6:52 I will have a nice salad a little
6:54 fat-free ranch or some other sort of
6:57 salad dressing and the only reason I
6:59 really even do that is so I'm not hungry
7:03 when I go to bed when I have kind of a
7:05 full stomach of spinach lettuce carrots
7:10 a little bit of cottage cheese and you
7:14 know i Nestle my head down on my pillow
7:16 in the evening and go into dreamland
7:19 with the full belly but not too overly
7:23 heavy because it's not fried chicken
7:25 it's not hamburgers it's not pizza I am
7:29 really stoked that this is working as
7:33 well as it is because as you get older
7:34 it is a lot more difficult to drop the
7:37 pounds but it seems to be working I'm
7:41 going to carry on
7:43 I'm gonna keep carrying it on still a
7:45 heck of a long way to go I am nowhere
7:48 near completion of this task
8:01 but it's very motivating to see progress
8:01 notice a lot of places around here have
8:04 their seating outdoors because of the
8:06 regulation that just went back into
8:08 effect which I kinda don't mind I would
8:11 I would rather eat outdoors than inside
8:15 if the weather is nice might sound a
8:17 little odd but there are some things
8:20 about all these goings-on the last few
8:22 months that I don't mind it's kind of
8:27 hard to explain but
8:30 because some stuff doesn't even really
8:31 bother me that much plenty of elbow room
8:34 you know a little bit of distance is it
8:37 more or less just kind of my vibe anyway
8:41 I've always had have been a little bit
8:43 of a loner and I do enjoy hanging out
8:46 with people occasionally but I just kind
8:49 of do my own thing and not having
8:51 everyone right up in your face all the
8:53 time I am not complaining about that I
8:57 do miss giving hugs and shaking hands
9:00 and high-fives and that that is one
9:03 negative but there are some positives
9:05 but I just recently did that 40 day food
9:08 series I would have never thought about
9:10 getting stuff to go and taking it to a
9:15 park T I'm glad I did you know you just
9:20 kind of learn different things to enjoy
9:22 that are sometimes better than what you
9:24 used to do always got to look for the
9:27 positive I love the outdoors looks as if
9:31 the construction at Phil's
9:33 is completed
9:36 haven't heard anything about an opening
9:38 date yet but when it does I will try it
9:42 heard good things about this
9:44 establishment and I enjoy a good cup of
9:47 coffee which has inspired me to go get
9:50 myself a cup down the way I like this
9:53 quote we're in the same boat and in this
9:56 oh we're okay
9:58 I miss quoted it we're in the same storm
10:01 and in the same boat some good words
10:03 here on this marquee never throw in the
10:06 towel unless well unless you're rock

10:18 never never did and maybe I will one day

10:30 hot caffeinated beverage a tiny bit of
10:33 vanilla added and a portion of cream and
10:36 sugar it is toasty go they have us
10:38 wrapping on it and right out front of
10:41 that Starbucks is this plaque er that
10:43 says site of the first building here in
10:46 1871 look at that beneficial thing about
10:50 this item it's a really good appetite
10:53 suppressant as well Cheers hmm okay shut
10:59 up she'll let that cool down just a
11:02 little bit that is a little bit toasty
11:05 can I just express to you how good I
11:08 feel right now I have not had any sort
11:13 like when I lay down in the evening
11:15 sometimes I will occasionally get a
11:17 little bit of heartburn or some acid
11:20 reflux I haven't had any of that helpful
11:23 for a week it is very wonderful to
11:26 experience that or not experience that
11:28 because it is very common
11:32 recent months maybe even they have more
11:35 than three sub months it was just kind
11:37 of the the norm to not have that is a
11:42 very contempt and I will continue doing
11:45 this it's very easy to bark out I'm
11:48 gonna keep doing this forever but I feel
11:51 I feel it's very motivating I've heard
11:53 it said that it takes three weeks could
11:56 be it could be more than that but three
11:59 weeks to develop a strong habit so forty
12:03 days has passed three weeks the in the
12:06 past the the error I made was stopping a
12:10 diet I used the word diet loosely
12:12 because this is going to be more of a of
12:15 a change of the way I'm eating
12:18 throughout the course of you know the
12:20 rest of my life if I can if I can keep
12:22 continuing on through the course of the
12:24 rest of my life so a diet might not be
12:25 the appropriate word but it is what
12:27 everyone knows so that's the word I'm
12:30 using
12:32 but I've always you know lost weight and
12:35 then kind of started a to trickle it
12:38 back on because I thought well the
12:40 diet's over and I want to abolish that
12:43 those thoughts from my mind so if I can
12:47 do the get into the habit the three-week
12:49 habit and then carry on to the 40 days
12:51 and then maybe 50 days and so on and so
12:53 on and so on who knows
12:55 in a year I might be at my top physical
13:00 condition well for my age because I'll
13:03 never be I was I don't think any of us
13:06 we'll just about done with this enjoying
13:08 the shade because over there it is not
13:11 shaded case you haven't realized by now
13:13 I enjoy it a lot and I'm just kind of
13:18 like all by my lonesome right here under
13:20 this under these branches of this tree
13:24 now gonna head into the antique mall the
13:27 orange circle antique mall two stories
13:30 well the top floor and they have a big
13:32 basement as well so there's a lot in
13:33 here a lot of booths wow I've seen
13:35 antique soda bottles but not what not
13:38 when they're full like this cookie jar
13:40 that's an owl cookie jar I'm usually
13:42 pretty good about avoiding temptation
13:44 but you know just doing some window
13:46 shopping looking around a lot of the
13:48 stuff I don't necessarily need but it is
13:50 fun to just take a gander at as you walk
13:52 through the halls and the different
13:54 levels and boosts but all in all it did
13:56 pretty well didn't purchase anything but
13:59 saw some good sites and some good items
14:01 and now I'm just noticing this jaws 2
14:03 poster that's pretty awesome
14:14 I just spoke with a guy up at the circle
14:14 and he was mentioning that the fountain
14:17 which is stated to be the original
14:20 fountain at the Plaza is in fact a myth
14:26 it is not true according to him even
14:31 though the plaque is around here stating
14:35 that it is it was for a very short time
14:38 in this location but it is now across
14:46 the street up really classic car alert
14:49 going by Wow
14:51 that was awesome
14:58 supposedly it's behind the library and
14:58 not this one this is a another fountain
15:02 not the original the original I'm gonna
15:06 walk over there and check it out
15:08 evidently the placard was not moved even
15:11 though the fountain was
15:25 alright alright this does appear to be
15:25 quite more decorative than that other
15:30 yeah it makes sense there's a crow up at
15:34 the top they're perched up there you go
15:37 fly off up flying off
15:44 I could see this being the original
15:44 fountain a little a little bit more
15:47 grander going on here with this one then
15:49 that artistic rendering does look very
15:52 similar is the one that's on this side
15:55 by 2002 oranges historic fountain had
15:59 become rusted and corroded
16:01 there was a save the fountain committee
16:04 the 585 Club so named because for $585
16:09 what was the fountains original cost
16:13 which was this one the mystery just
16:18 might have been stalled
16:28 learn something new every day
16:28 from here you can see both of them want
16:33 to cross the road and this one that I'm
16:36 currently standing next to and then the
16:38 other one the newest one up at the
16:42 circle current I a little bit confusing
16:46 but I think I gotta figure it out that's
16:48 gonna do it for today if you're new here
