1:10 direction just like we have the choice

1:15 life needs to go in and the decision the

1:18 choice is only up to one person honestly

1:21 what it all boils down to it's up to you

1:24 or to me depending on who that person is

1:27 if it's me the decision is up to me if

1:29 it is you you the decision is up to you

1:31 it's not up to anyone else honestly

1:34 there are a lot of factors in people's

1:35 life there are a lot of equations there

1:37 are a lot of problems but when it really

1:40 boils down to it it is really up to you

1:46 topic of this Vlog is because on today

1:49 August 9th four years ago 2015 is the

1:53 current year 2011 something happened to

1:56 me four that's right four years ago to

2:02 the day as of right now

2:05 four something happened I made a

2:07 decision in my life that honestly was

2:10 frowned upon by a lot of

2:13 people close people to me people that

2:16 were not close to me the general

2:18 consensus of the general population

2:21 frowned upon this decision and my

2:23 decision was to quit my job now I sold

2:27 everything little backstory on me

2:30 for those who are not familiar with my

2:33 life in general and my progression

2:35 through this internet YouTube age that

2:39 we have grown into the circle of

2:40 goodness together little backstory I me

2:43 basically four years ago I quit my job

2:45 on this day was the last day I worked I

2:48 worked retail for over 20 years I worked

2:50 at grocery stores I worked at a feed

2:52 store that was the last job I worked at

2:53 a place called Office Max office supply

2:56 stores for 40 straight years I was

2:58 always employed working fulltime never

3:01 taking time off going on tour with a

3:04 band I would get one week maybe two

3:06 weeks vacation a year so my vacation

3:08 time was always still working by going

3:11 on tour and traveling with a band and I

3:13 made a conscious decision that I needed

3:16 to change something in my life I was in

3:18 the position where I did not have

3:19 anything holding me back I did not have

3:22 children I did not have a significant

3:25 other things like that I did not have a

3:28 career that was prospering

3:30 I was just basically working a menial

3:32 job menial retail jobs that honestly I

3:35 could have gone to another retail job

3:37 and it really would not have made a

3:39 difference so basically there was no

3:41 major career holding me back that I was

3:43 progressing to there was no school like

3:46 this one behind me holding me back and

3:48 keeping me there as well as children and

3:50 families and things like that that do

3:52 kind of hinder some people for making

3:54 certain decisions so I did not have that

3:57 in my life holding me back so I made the

4:00 conscious effort in my mind that I would

4:02 change my life and I quit my job I

4:06 became completely

4:08 unemployed I had a little bit of debt

4:11 and in the 78 n months prior to this

4:14 date four years ago I planned it all out

4:17 I paid my debt off I paid my van off I

4:20 paid extra on my van I saved a little

4:22 bit of money and then I decided I was

4:25 going to toss caution to the wind toss

4:29 people's advice to the wind and just do

4:33 what I wanted to do F followed my heart

4:36 and what my soul was telling me to do so

4:39 I basically started traveling I got into

4:41 my van and I started traveling around

4:44 and I did not start traveling until

4:46 October of 2011 and a lot of you guys

4:49 who are probably watching the stumbled

4:51 on Who I Am from my main channel the

4:53 Adam the woo Channel and you probably

4:55 saw a lot of those videos who are which

4:57 are very popular now like the Six Flags

4:59 New Orleans

5:00 the ghost town in the sky the Friday the

5:02 13th Part 6 filming locations there were

5:05 about 15 16 17 videos that I did on that

5:09 one month

5:11 Trek in October early November of 20111

5:16 and the reason I did not leave

5:17 immediately after I quit my job on

5:19 August 9th which is today 4 years ago is

5:24 because I had obligations to go out on

5:25 tour with the band so basically what I

5:27 did is I went on tour with the band for

5:29 I know 3 weeks a month then I went to

5:31 visit my sister for a few weeks and then

5:34 when I got back in October then I

5:36 started traveling but it all stemmed

5:39 just like this tree stems from The Roots

5:41 it all stemmed from one decision and

5:44 that decision was to pretty much cast

5:47 everything away and do what the world

5:50 deemed

5:51 Incorrect and inaccurate and a bad

5:55 decision looking back on it it was the

5:58 best decision I ever made in my entire

5:59 Life 4 years ago it All Began because

6:04 two weeks prior to that I put my two

6:06 weeks notice in at the feed store that I

6:08 was working at I worked at a feed store

6:09 throwing chicken feed and hay and very

6:14 heavy bags of feed into the back of

6:17 people's

6:18 trucks it was a very honest day's work

6:21 and I did it for 5 years prior to that I

6:22 worked at a place called Office Max

6:24 which is basically a office supply store

6:26 similar to Staples I worked at Walmart

6:28 in the grocery department for a while I

6:30 worked at a place called wind Dixie for

6:31 a while I worked a lot of retail for

6:35 over two complete decades look how

6:37 awesome this

6:46 is but there was something inside of me

6:46 that wanted to get out wanted to see the

6:48 great usoa and see the world and travel

6:53 and do things and see things not only to

6:58 present it to other people but just for

7:00 myself not only that people would watch

7:03 videos or subscribe or any of that stuff

7:07 that was not the idea the idea was all

7:11 about me I wanted to go out I wanted to

7:13 document stuff that way later in life

7:16 like now or even in the future from now

7:18 I would have something to look back upon

7:21 and reminisce and say I did it I did

7:25 what I wanted to do I wanted to create

7:28 something for myself just like that

7:30 gentleman said down

7:33 there so that's basically what this Vlog

7:35 is about four years ago today I made

7:38 that decision and you would not honestly

7:40 be watching this Vlog think about this

7:43 you would not be watching me you would

7:45 not be commenting down below you would

7:46 not be favoring or disliking or trolling

7:49 or hating or loving or sharing this

7:54 video If I had not made that decision so

7:57 decisions rule Our Lives

8:00 and it's good to take people's opinions

8:02 and ideas and considerations and

8:04 constructive criticisms into play is

8:07 very important but what it really boils

8:09 down to is everything in your life the

8:12 decisions you make are really up to one

8:14 person now like I was saying there are a

8:16 lot of variables that go into these

8:20 things but when it really comes down to

8:22 it it's really up to you and by the way

8:27 are these patunas

8:36 one last little tidbit I have decided

8:36 about a week ago I mentioned about a

8:40 crowdfunding a crowd sourcing Endeavor

8:43 and I wanted your opinion I had not made

8:44 the decision yet and I wanted what your

8:47 guys opinion was on crowdfunding patreon

8:51 Kickstarter that sort of things and I

8:54 got a

8:55 lot of very positive feedback I got got

8:59 a little bit of very negative feedback

9:01 but more importantly I got a lot of

9:03 feedback from people who have been

9:05 following me for years and years and

9:07 years and some of them some of you sir

9:11 ma'am and some children have been

9:13 watching since almost day one if not day

9:16 one and I got some very heartfelt

9:19 comments and emails from you guys

9:22 whether I should do it or not do it and

9:25 since it is my decision on whether I

9:27 should do this patreon kickstar

9:30 Indiegogo campaigns to help fuel the woo

9:33 I have actually decided not to do those

9:37 type of things yet now I do not know

9:39 what the future

9:40 holds but I want to keep my eye on the

9:43 prize I want to keep the eye of the

9:45 tiger to use a rocky term if you will

9:49 and the reason for this is because I'm

9:51 looking back on the past four years I'm

9:53 thinking back to when I was sleeping in

9:56 my van when I was traveling around when

9:58 I was nestled up in a Zer degre sleeping

10:01 bag in the back of my van in a Walmart

10:02 parking lot having security knock on the

10:04 door and telling me to get lost not

10:07 knowing when or where the next few

10:10 dollars to put in my gas tank would be

10:12 to get to the next adventure for the

10:15 main Channel video destination would be

10:18 and it honestly not going to lie it

10:20 brings a little bit of of a tear to my

10:23 eye to think back to those days and I

10:25 never want to lose that spark that

10:29 DIY ethic that is inside and that does

10:32 not mean that I have not had a vast

10:35 amount of support when it comes to

10:36 people purchasing t-shirts on adamthe

10:41 donating on the Donate icon on adamthe

10:44 wo.com that has been going on for a

10:47 while and that is what helped fuel the

10:48 woo that is me it's a little clever term

10:51 I came up with in the very beginning

10:53 four years ago when I started traveling

10:56 now I did videos for about a year so

10:58 I've been doing videos for about 5 years

11:01 but I didn't start actually doing it

11:03 what I consider fulltime until I Cast

11:05 Away my obligations to a 9 to5 or 8 to6

11:09 in that case job Monday through

11:12 Friday so I've always had support but I

11:16 don't know if I want to go to the next

11:19 level of that sort of support where an

11:23 exorbitant amount of money the thing

11:25 that really kind of scares me is I know

11:27 how supportive people are and I don't

11:29 want like I was saying to lose the Eye

11:32 of the Tiger Rising up back on the

11:36 streets took my time took my chance I

11:39 should not be singing because I do not

11:41 have a singing voice however support

11:43 will continue and I completely 100%

11:47 appreciate it I'm humbled the fact

11:50 honestly I'm completely blown away that

11:53 it's come this far my main channel will

11:55 hit

11:56 150,000 subscribers in the next couple

11:59 of days tomorrow is my birthday it' be

12:01 pretty amazing if tomorrow on my

12:03 birthday August 10th was born in 1974

12:06 that makes me 41 years old

12:10 tomorrow it would be amazing to hit

12:13 150,000 subscribers do you know

12:16 that it took me almost 90 to 100 videos

12:22 before I hit 1,000

12:24 subscribers think about that all of you

12:26 guys and girls men and women and

12:30 children that are starting their YouTube

12:32 careers their aspirations their dreams

12:36 create and everyone's focused on getting

12:38 subscribers everyone's focused on views

12:40 everyone's focused on what can I put out

12:43 there how can I become popular on the

12:46 internet it took me 100

12:49 videos to hit 1,000 subscribers in that

12:52 first year I did almost 100 videos

12:55 before I quit my job and I started

12:57 traveling around and it really all kind

12:59 of Whirlwind once I started traveling in

13:01 the

13:02 van and man it's just I can't it's the

13:07 fathom that almost 150,000 people just

13:11 shy a couple hundred people shy of

13:12 150,000 people have joined into the

13:15 circle of goodness that we not just me I

13:18 made the decision but because of my

13:21 decision it is stemmed off just like

13:23 this tree and there is a whole circle of

13:27 goodness stemming up from the roots from

13:28 my my conscious effort and

13:31 decision basically to create I had the

13:34 decision to create or not to create just

13:37 like this gentleman here

14:08 years all based on one decision a

14:10 decision that honestly was frowned upon

14:16 comments a lot of friends that I had

14:18 close loved ones did not agree with what

14:21 I was doing looking back on it I made

14:23 the correct decision and those people

14:25 have since probably stuck their foot in

14:28 their mouth because it did work out to

14:31 the point where people are now watching

14:32 my videos and that just blows my mind

14:34 and makes me feel completely

14:37 blessed so life is good everyone so

14:42 about the Indiegogo for now I'm going to

15:12 week of November and I will be going to

15:13 Central Florida for two weeks at the end

15:15 of December so that are my travel plans

15:18 through the end of the year as well as

15:20 maybe before Dragon Con maybe even next

15:22 week I might be in barking on a 2 to

15:24 three maybe 4 Day Road Trip in my van

15:28 out to a few different states Arizona

15:30 maybe even Colorado I'm trying to work

15:32 on the technical aspects of this now how

15:36 should the fuel the woo work when I'm

15:39 not doing a huge crowdsourcing campaign

15:42 I've thought about this this is

15:43 something I have thought about for the

15:45 last few days since I announced what

15:47 your guys opinion was on that I have

19:42 tradition and I will be at Disneyland in

19:45 the morning

19:49 Disneyland and that makes me happy and
