0:15 Hilltop house that's right and there is

0:17 a lot of backstory a lot of history for

0:19 those who live in the desertous regions

1:41 town of Apple Valley directly down below

1:44 a pretty treacherous hike up that I can

1:46 imagine back in the day driving a

1:47 vehicle up there would be pretty insane

1:49 but we've made it and directly behind

1:58 us the Apple Valley Hilltop house it's

1:58 time to go inside let's do it

2:04 in the 1940s new bass and his friend Bud

2:06 westwin purchased 6300 acres here to do

2:08 a cattle ranch that didn't come to pass

2:10 so they became developers they became

2:12 the forefathers of Apple Valley they

2:13 created all this nude bass wanted to

2:15 live here so he created this home the

2:17 hilltop house and it's quite fascinating

2:20 unfortunately 1967 there was a big fire

2:22 here and he did renovate it and fix it

2:24 he was able to save it but unfortunately

2:26 he didn't live here anymore he left he

2:27 turned it into a uh an office and

2:30 banquet space eventually down the road

2:32 that coton far and since then he's left

2:36 left an abandoned and people have looted

2:37 it and tagged it since then this was

2:40 definitely the parking area cars would

2:42 have been parked right in here

2:44 overlooking overlooking the town and

2:48 then you would go into the house through

2:49 this door from the garage

3:31 you see the side of the wall starting to

3:31 decompose the mesh is all still here but

3:35 it's all starting to break

3:38 up memories of what once was

4:02 this whole house was built by Francisco

4:02 artiguez new bass actually hired him to

4:05 create the house on the hill and the

4:08 whole fireplace which had all the bricks

4:11 and rocks from the mountain was all

4:14 removed the rock but there are some

4:15 famous photos looking out the glass

4:18 windows this way you can see the roof

4:20 and you can also see out this door the

4:23 pool and N bass's desk out that door so

4:27 this is the spot pretty fantastic that

4:32 hill floor is a little

7:07 second fire when it was re turned into a

7:10 office area SL banquet area which is a

7:12 little bit different from the picture

7:17 the Rock yep and you can see how there's

7:20 a little bit of a angle angular shape

7:22 right here they they cut it out and all

7:24 those famous photos have the pool in the

7:26 background it's amazing to think how

7:28 many celebrties how many Rich folk the

7:31 upper echelon of society swam around and

7:34 did the dog paddle right where I'm

7:37 standing and you can see he built the

7:38 house basically around rocks like he

7:42 just built the house right on top of the

7:45 Rocks this whole area was completely

7:46 redone and it was an outdoor patio there

7:49 used to be a u a glass I guess a large

7:53 window sectioner went all the way across

7:54 the pool so you had partial of the pool

7:57 inside and most of it was outside which

7:59 around also all the banister all the

8:02 metal banister that goes around

8:03 originally was a glass window banister

8:07 if you want to call it that that went

8:08 all the way around that was replaced as

8:20 well you got to wonder if n bass if he

8:20 ever had the vision that one day his

8:22 home would Overlook shopping centers

8:25 grocery stores convenience stores motels

8:29 and

8:35 hotels you got to

8:35 wonder you got a

8:38 wonder floor is definitely a little

8:40 sketchy in fact someone's been here

8:42 before us and they titled this the whole
