0:15 road trip adventure today's goal is to
0:18 start here in Holbrook Arizona and make
0:21 my way across the New Mexico State Line
0:24 should be fun join me shall you don't
0:28 miss Wild Bill a fossil two to six
0:32 hundred million gets a wide eight age
0:34 gap of all places he's located inside
0:38 this gift shop whoa he does exist a
0:43 fossilized Gator at this point not much
0:46 more than sand and bones but epic
0:49 nonetheless give us a smile Wild Bill
0:51 give us a smile as I exited I was paying
0:54 attention to this classic car didn't
0:56 even notice the dinosaur busting out of
0:58 its egg that crocodile wasn't the only
1:01 dinosaur in this town look at that guy
1:04 and all of these saying hello to traffic
1:08 so many dinos this one
1:12 is hungry sure am diggin the prehistoric
1:15 feel but as much as this place rocks
1:18 gotta be movin along
1:20 what don't me let's go okay made it down
1:24 aways turned into a place by the name of
1:27 Stewart's and on this property you can
1:31 feed an ostrich inside the fridge
1:36 ostrich eggs pick yourself up a souvenir
1:41 an owl or a skull for five dollars got
1:48 some Chow hungry grab you some grab you
1:56 some oh my goodness hey Dad it was three
2:00 of them oh oh oh
2:03 a successful pit stop to say the least
2:15 whoa he lost his head
2:28 that's his head being decapitated in the
2:28 desert is not away you want to go watch
2:31 off this barbed wire this is head I got
2:36 your head buddy I got you decapitated
2:41 I'm sorry I'm so sorry if I had
2:45 superglue I'd connect it back but I'm
2:50 currently super glueless amazing how
2:52 they don't take down the old billboards
2:56 Kodak I don't think Kodak's even a
2:59 company anymore
3:01 can't courage find food fast service eat
3:06 tacos and get gas and whatever order you
3:09 so decide no longer in business they
3:11 have a protective fence up around most
3:14 of the property with the water tower and
3:17 guard tower still remain the door
3:21 leading to the top is open use at own
3:27 risk let's do it let's go up moderately
3:35 moderately sketchy I'm using using my
3:39 phone flash to illuminate it's very dark
3:42 in here without without it though one
3:45 more looks it looks as if there's one
3:47 more turn to make it up towards the
3:49 lights
3:50 I got startled back there I thought
3:51 there was an animal at the bottom of the
3:54 staircase it was just my imagination
3:57 mission accomplished made it to the
4:00 tippy top the good over
4:02 you of the premises come up here seen
4:06 more structurally sound bridges in my
4:09 life then then this one he's going for
4:12 it he has no fear that carpetbagger no
4:21 longer serving tacos it's been a while
4:23 since this diner had a customer prices
4:27 were pretty reasonable small coffee only
4:30 set you back 85 cents when your order
4:33 was ready would have been illuminated on
4:36 one of those numbers and the chef would
4:39 have handed it to the waitress over this
4:41 counter from the outside pretty unique
4:59 looking place tough to see them in the
5:02 darkness but the gift shop has these
5:08 stagecoach displays where they had the
5:10 merchandise hanging on the audio
5:13 collection cassettes Oh everything's
5:17 entire stocks 20% off not terrifying in
5:21 the least bit what in the name of heck I
5:27 thought oh man that that really start
5:30 with that startled me for a second flesh
5:32 from the face has been ripped off and
5:35 the body just the mouth and the hands
5:39 duct tape are all that remain
5:44 chief yellow horse training post the
5:49 sign of a cave see many cigar store
5:51 Indians but rarely do you see a tomahawk
5:55 of that size by stepping inside we are
5:59 crossing the state line this is the
6:02 Arizona New Mexico State Line might be
6:04 tough to see them because of the shadow
6:05 but in the cliff itself there's some old
6:10 cave dwellings up in there see them up
6:14 there little puppies are dwelling out
6:17 here as well you want a puppy Jacob all
6:20 of them want all of them if you like
6:22 seeing puppies hydrate themselves give
6:26 this video a thumbs up just have the
6:27 thumbs up right now self-proclaimed most
6:31 patriotic town in America Gallup New
6:33 Mexico has a motel with rooms for 20
6:37 bucks
6:37 except it's not there anymore they tore
6:40 down so a place I've always wanted to
6:42 check out the hotel El Rancho home to
6:46 the movie stars Wow
6:55 impressive most impressive adorning the
6:55 walls are photographs of celebrities who
6:58 all stayed here including Gregory Peck
7:02 here's one of Fred MacMurray who fun
7:05 fact was the very first Disney legend to
7:08 receive that award from what I hear John
7:10 Wayne has his own themed and named
7:14 hamburger in the restaurant the front of
7:17 the menu states that famous director DW
7:20 Griffith his brother is the one that
7:23 built and opened this place even Ronald
7:26 Reagan stayed here if you were to order
7:28 the Gipper's burger it would come with a
7:30 side yes of jelly beans this is what
7:34 we're dealing with the Roy Rogers you
7:37 have to make it yourself but it has the
7:39 pickles onions lettuce also got some
7:41 fried zucchini and Jacob got that w.c
7:45 Fields ensemble are those hot peppers
7:48 your green chile very green chili ice
7:52 proper use of Longhorns and the
7:55 furniture they also have a section to
7:59 get your shoes shined I can see why
8:02 someone would want to stay here for the
8:04 evening but must be moving on at one
8:07 point this particular section was
8:10 designated route 666 but according to
8:20 the story lawmakers did not want to be
8:22 known as the sixth section of route 66
8:24 it's the Gateway to Hades so now it's
8:28 former 666 all right we got 10-foot
8:31 clearance
8:31 I'm gonna make it we're gonna do it
8:36 we're doing it that the we're doing it
8:39 Grant New Mexico drive through route 66
8:43 sign we're doing it directly through
8:48 route 66 signage
8:51 Ales it could veer over about 10 feet
8:56 get on the interstate we'll just stay
8:59 here on the Mother Road it's almost like
9:02 a roller coaster it dips down and dips
9:05 up get a little seasick in certain
9:07 sections it's all part of the experience
9:10 ever since it was originally
9:12 decommissioned there are certain
9:13 sections that are no longer drivable
9:16 for example this bridge is being
9:19 preserved but you can only now walk
9:22 across it if you were to drive a vehicle
9:24 on this modern day you would ramp up on
9:26 this little embankment here Dukes of
9:28 Hazzard style
