0:03 today's adventure begins as a recording
0:03 of this Sunday June 4th 2023 for my
0:06 hotel room
0:08 just to top Universal Studios Hollywood
0:11 looking down upon
0:13 the theme park and the movie studio was
0:17 so much history
0:18 bright and early well not even bright
0:20 it's just early and very cloudy
0:24 a little dismal and overcast at this
0:27 moment but the sun once the Sun starts
0:29 to rise
0:34 should kind of burn off a little bit of
0:34 this Haze and fog I am doing
0:37 the VIP tour
0:39 as shown here
0:40 a VIP tour is like a time machine
0:44 now I've done the VIP tour at Universal
0:46 Studios Hollywood before but every time
0:48 is a little different I'm hoping today
0:50 can go down to Courthouse Square
0:52 and possibly some other places that I
0:54 haven't been to in a while
0:56 exclusive access to Hollywood
1:00 awaits it's very early 6 30 right now
1:03 the tour begins at 7 30 so I'm going to
1:07 go ahead and start heading down there
1:08 also this is the valley
1:11 and there is
1:12 Super Nintendo World down there
1:16 I'm inviting you to join me
1:18 it's going to be a fun day meeting up
1:19 with some friends also from my room you
1:22 can look down you can see some of the
1:23 old trams that are right here in a
1:25 parking lot near the freeway
1:27 the old Universal Backlot trams
1:31 the the toward torch Rams I should say
1:34 these relics of the past just sitting
1:36 down there
1:48 in proximity too
1:48 the park itself
1:53 there's the front entrance there's the
1:54 globe there's City Walk
1:56 there's Wizarding World
2:30 it is early
2:30 good to see the leaf blowers out welcome
2:33 everyone Adam the woo here it is about
2:36 20 minutes now it's time I got from my
2:38 room down to the bottom level about 15
2:39 minutes till 7 A.M
2:41 our tour meeting up with a couple
2:43 friends begins at 7 30. who knew that
2:47 they were they were doing a tour this
2:49 early gonna get coffee over there
2:51 and I think the theme park opens at
2:53 eight they have they're getting close to
2:55 their summer hours
2:57 opens at 8 A.M so the first tour we're
2:59 thinking maybe we will get a little bit
3:01 better access and the fact that it is a
3:04 Sunday might be able to see some stuff
3:07 that you don't normally see because
3:09 there might not be a lot of filming
3:10 going on so leaving my hotel room
3:13 headed in inviting you to join me
3:22 he's done an Academy Award from The
3:22 Sting should also mention big bake on
3:24 the move is also here he will be
3:27 doing the tour as well
3:28 and then over here we've got nerd
3:31 locations
3:32 you get into getting some juice eating
3:35 some coffee with ice coffee with ice ice
3:37 coffee today all right you ready for
3:40 this I am ready for it are we all awake
3:42 we're ready I'm not caffeinated yet
3:44 let's get caffeinated and then over here
3:46 there's all kind of light snacks you got
3:48 all these croissants you got the smoked
3:50 salmon croissant she got the tartlett
3:52 over here you got the danishes you got
3:55 the blueberry muffin got the chocolate
3:57 chip cookie of course I got water over
4:00 here they got Citrus they have some oh
4:03 is there eggs over here and they got
4:05 some fruit whatnot all this is included
4:08 on the tour itself Maple and brown sugar
4:11 oatmeal and when I think of the chore I
4:13 always think of you always think of
4:14 Frankenstein and then uh and Hitchcock
4:16 out there Hitchcock would be proud of
4:19 the tour and there's this little area up
4:20 here with the Phantom of the Opera
4:21 sign over there a lot of photos and here
4:24 is the coffee that I'm going in on and
4:26 this is the bus that we're going to be
4:29 getting on vip705.
4:37 all right welcome forward our VIP super
4:37 trolley folks and let's give a big round
4:39 pause for our drivers absolutely
4:46 we're here it's a really long walk folks
4:46 like a Lord of the Rings style long walk
4:49 everywhere the whole property our theme
4:51 park at Studio is a different franchise
4:53 400 square feet is it Lord of the Rings
4:59 a little bit of our Metropolitan set
4:59 area it could be just up the way here
5:01 off to the left side of us here can be
5:04 made to look like any major city across
5:06 the world or across time simply based on
5:08 how production it rents the space from
5:10 us chooses to decorate all right
5:12 over and over and over we're gonna go
5:15 back here producible for decades over
5:17 hundreds of Productions nope any
5:19 superhero movie fans
5:21 there's no hands on
5:30 that's where Mary Jane Watson was
5:30 performing our big Broadway debut in The
5:32 Importance of Being Earnest and
5:33 Spider-Man 2 Peter Parker tried very
5:35 hard very very hard to get to the show
5:37 on time he was a little sidetracked he'd
5:39 swoop in to save the day of Spider-Man
5:40 got as far as the feeder Lobby before
5:42 the Usher turned him away
5:50 kind of hoping we go back the concrete
5:50 jungle behind and head towards a
5:51 different jungle altogether we also have
5:53 Magnum Pi's Ferrari from that great show
5:55 starring Tom Selleck they have some Back
5:58 to the Future Vehicles as well and just
6:00 please remember to remain seated at all
6:02 times guys for safety thank you so much
6:03 got 15 minutes convertible which looks
6:06 and smells a lot better since it cleared
6:08 out all of the door futuristic vehicles
6:10 from back to newer part two that pair
6:12 very nicely next to these prehistoric
6:14 ones featured at The Flintstones so John
6:16 Goodman and Rick Moran all right I'm a
6:17 little disappointed for my Wizarding
6:19 World fans
6:37 the results of thousands of gallons of
6:37 water being pumped out that their own
6:39 recycled all the way up to the top three
6:41 sets we call them six points it has that
6:43 name because it started off as six
6:45 interconnecting Western Street sets that
6:47 mess in the early days of silent film
6:50 big Once Upon a Time in Hollywood right
6:52 here at the same time never had to worry
6:54 about sound comparing over onto
6:56 another's production I swear
7:03 and my favorite part of any Western that
7:03 I happen to be watching uh I'm just a
7:05 really big fan of the fight
7:21 I think the earthquake has stopped oh oh
7:21 hang on bad news looks like the water
7:22 mains broken
7:24 yeah I'm curious in a foot quickly we
7:27 can work on getting out of here
7:37 that's my friends and earthquakes and
7:37 regulations like urban areas of our
7:40 property including Elm Street so so far
7:52 tomorrow
8:04 got relocated to our back lot when they
8:04 were done filming
8:48 now some more recent Productions to
8:48 shoot here include never have I ever our
8:50 continuation of Quantum Leap on NBC our
8:52 upcoming Ted television series turn this
8:54 area into Boston I do want to point out
8:56 this yellow house coming up here to the
8:57 right now Susan's house on Desperate
8:59 Housewives just a couple seconds just a
9:01 little pop-up again haircut right there
9:02 right next to it are we not getting off
9:05 here
9:06 that is the monster's house 1313
9:08 Mockingbird Lane just missed the
9:10 monsters and uh I do have to point it
9:12 out it's a really fun 80s comedy from us
9:14 here at Universal this is Mayfield place
9:16 this is the street of The Burbs with Tom
9:19 Hanks
9:20 really fun movie a majority action
9:22 tickets
9:23 and look around like the VIP tour
9:26 actually promotes that we're supposed to
9:28 do yeah they don't really deviate from
9:30 Mayfield place in the entire movie what
9:31 the hell yeah we're gonna head a little
9:33 further out here
9:44 walk through
9:50 we're going back to Colonial then we can
9:50 go back to the escapism the fantasy of
9:52 it all you know
10:16 as we head back down the road here we're
10:16 passing by Elm Street once more here off
10:17 to the right side if you saw a movie
10:19 with Will Smith called Hancock makes a
10:22 superhero Landing right in the middle of
10:23 Elm Street right over there he pays a
10:25 visit to Jason Bateman in his house
10:26 right there on Elm Street Will Smith
10:28 movie I heard a slash and uh as we pass
10:30 by our Jaws attraction one sport if it
10:33 looks a little familiar you might be a
10:35 fan of a long-running series called
10:36 Murder She Wrote sorry
10:42 bring that up for you back to walk
10:42 around I'm seeing outside of our Western
10:44 area with some farming equipment boxes
10:46 barrels Creek so I've done this before
10:47 that's probably my fourth time usually
10:50 they let you walk around a lot of spots
10:51 especially if they're not filming
10:52 anything that can be added sometimes
10:54 they'll say oh they're filming back
10:55 there so they don't let you walk around
10:57 where they're filming no I don't see any
10:59 filming happening today and we're
11:01 actually going to be heading next to our
11:03 first VIP Excursion something that we've
11:05 not had access to for several years only
11:07 recently of the last few months have
11:09 gotten to have back access to our prop
11:12 Warehouse you can't film on the problem
11:13 take these through our first floor are
11:16 you are you happy I'm happy Amanda for
11:18 for the amount of money amount of money
11:21 it's like you know we're not seeing
11:22 anything I expected a little more man
11:25 also marry the girly girls here also
11:26 yeah I didn't introduce you on the way
11:28 in it might be important if you guys all
11:30 you want to see is you want to get a
11:31 photo in front of the cycle house some
11:33 people say Insurance during like now
11:34 maybe it'll take us by there uh any
11:36 Tarantino fans yeah maybe we'll go back
11:38 Quentin Tarantino yeah all right if they
11:41 made a movie a few years back called the
11:42 hateful eight there's a scene in that
11:44 movie where Jennifer Jason these
11:46 characters finds a guitar and they have
11:47 into hiding so at least I'm not the only
11:49 one has done this before that realizes
11:51 this is so far it is annoying anything
11:54 extra than what you would get other than
11:57 they are but we weren't allowed to film
11:58 inside there which is understandable we
12:00 haven't been able to walk around but I'm
12:02 assuming we're gonna walk around and
12:04 probably Court of Miracles what did you
12:06 want to see today Hill Valley I wanted
12:08 to get off this bus and go see something
12:09 yeah what'd you want to see Colonial
12:12 Colonial or Hill Valley either one would
12:14 be great or something this is my first
12:16 tour too
12:22 we're gonna go inside a Sound Stage
12:22 though that I don't know what's been
12:24 filmed in there
12:31 demonstrate why I sound stage
12:31 sound through oh yeah are you excited
12:35 I do like South stages
12:37 except I don't know anything that was
12:38 ever filmed in here it's like they just
12:40 opened it like a week ago
12:42 it is very quiet though
12:54 so what are we hoping what are we hoping
12:54 for today
12:55 to make this better I would love to get
12:58 on the uh
12:59 Hill Valley man that's mine
13:29 but if it's one thing this area is known
13:29 for it's known for its monster movie
13:31 history all the big name monsters right
13:34 here Dracula Frankenstein the wolf and
13:37 it doesn't mean
13:44 thanks for looking
13:44 I appreciate that he's invisible that's
13:46 what makes him so scary
13:47 I have a favorite party of those
13:49 monsters this is basically we're not
13:51 getting off of the tram for anything so
13:54 you got Elm Street up here
13:57 so that is where Kill Mockingbird was of
13:59 Boo Radley's house is right over there
14:01 but I don't think we're gonna be able to
14:02 walk over there House of a Thousand
14:03 Corpses up here right and also Dolly
14:06 Parton
14:07 um Best Little Whorehouse up there the
14:10 opening of Murder She Wrote it's right
14:12 through here
14:13 okay that's kind of neat seeing uh
14:15 seeing the shark fin from this side I
14:17 just think Angela Lansbury walking
14:19 around right here
14:21 great Angela Lansbury I'm not sure if
14:25 they if it was in this spot when they
14:26 were filming it or they moved these sets
14:29 to here kind of like they did with the
14:31 note sets also last time they got you
14:33 got to go on the notes apps not this
14:35 time
14:42 Three Amigos was right here in nacho
14:42 Libra I think that was Nacho's apartment
14:44 right there for I remember the previous
14:46 tour
14:47 when I was out here three or four months
14:49 ago me and Sean Clark did a video
14:51 before he walked around and they kind of
14:53 explained it so I got to walk around
14:54 this area
15:21 you gotta remember this place
15:21 maybe do that thing where they say
15:22 drinks are on me
15:24 we're hired here
15:27 we didn't stop the same day there was a
15:30 recreation of Hawaii
15:32 uh Clint Eastwood what I heard the
15:35 original ones were thrown away but they
15:36 recreated them they were right back
15:44 hilarious Street Colonial Street
15:44 Colonial Street Colonial Street Colony
15:47 you got across your fingers
15:55 Colonial Street hello we're going by
15:55 Colonial Street I love seeing all those
15:57 old videos
15:59 a bonus feature on some of the Star Wars
16:01 informed that one of our guests is a
16:03 die-hard psycho fan
16:06 so we're gonna see if we can swing past
16:08 the Bates House up ahead here
16:10 and get a photo in front of this iconic
16:12 set really quickly before we head back
16:14 into the theme park for some fun
16:16 surprised we're not walking around these
16:19 picture cars once more that double
16:20 decker bus actually proved a vital to
16:23 pitcher car inside of our theme park
16:24 when they filmed an episode of a really
16:26 great comedy series called Arrested
16:28 Development
16:29 all right Mary what do you think
16:33 I'm speechless since I go out that
16:35 Albert has got more information
16:38 I mean it was my first horror movie that
16:40 I watched in the basement of the home I
16:42 grew up in as a child all alone in the
16:43 dark
16:48 no I didn't yeah and I knew I was I knew
16:48 I was a horror fan at that point I'm
16:50 glad yeah I'm glad the guy made like a
16:52 made a return trip around because
16:54 originally We're not gonna stop here but
16:56 we were like we want to see a psycho
16:57 house so
17:02 weird
17:02 and as said it's it's always interesting
17:04 how every tour is different
17:07 like this is the first time I was not
17:09 allowed to walk through or they didn't
17:10 take us through the airplane usually
17:12 Little Italy and the airplane or like
17:15 go-to's and that's the end of the this
17:17 trolley tour I think we're supposed to
17:18 hit the theme park we're gonna have
17:20 lunch and just kind of see where the day
17:22 leads us in about a half hour we're
17:24 gonna have lunch right over here in the
17:26 in this little area here the Moulin
17:28 Rouge area you guys want to give me your
17:30 thoughts what are your thoughts on uh
17:32 the tour and the price of the tour and
17:34 what you expected I'm trying to get not
17:36 just my own thoughts but everyone else
17:38 I'm friends with here on their opinions
17:45 I've done the tour before and it was a
17:45 little lacking today
17:47 little lacking for the price how much do
17:49 we pay for this close to 500 bucks a
17:52 piece right and
17:54 it was
17:55 I did the same tour for half the price
17:57 two years ago I got to do so much more
18:00 right okay okay yeah for me is the first
18:03 time thing I've ever been here I've
18:05 watched tons of tons of videos on
18:07 YouTube for 500 bucks I mean they're at
18:09 the end and pulled the uh psycho house
18:11 that was nice yeah it was a nice little
18:12 add-in do that for Mary
18:14 shout out to the tour guide for doing
18:16 lapping back around yeah I mean but I
18:18 enjoyed it I mean there's a lot of money
18:20 from what we got yeah I wish we would
18:21 have seen a little more so I'm just
18:23 trying to put it out there into the
18:24 universe to let people to know exactly
18:26 the price differential make your own
18:28 decision but yeah
18:30 it sounds like every tour is different
18:32 every tour is different kind of like
18:34 Forrest Gump
18:35 s what else would you have wanted did
18:37 you so you saw the one thing you wanted
18:38 to see is there anything else you wanted
18:39 to see the number one thing I wanted to
18:41 see wanted to see the Back to the Future
18:43 Courthouse Square of course one of my
18:44 favorite movies I would have liked to
18:46 have been able to walk around the
18:48 wreckage they showed us the record yeah
18:49 usually they do I was really really
18:51 bizarre they wouldn't it
18:54 honestly my dream would be to just have
18:56 somebody take you back there and leave
18:58 me alone for five hours I know they
19:00 won't yeah that rarely happens these
19:02 roads I mean you look hungry we are
19:05 hungry yeah you're from where
19:08 are being taken to our seat for a little
19:10 gourmet meal Buffet meal style and then
19:13 uh I got some broccoli here we got some
19:16 rice some Curry meat there we got some
19:19 asparagus mashed potatoes potatoes
19:22 mashed potatoes and regular potatoes
19:24 some pasta some tortellini big bake
19:27 what'd you get oh man I've got a little
19:29 bit of pizza some teriyaki chicken some
19:31 salmon some curry with rice pasta a
19:34 little salad I went Tex-Mex kind of on
19:36 my salad I did Regular classic with a
19:38 little bit of Caesar mix in there so
19:40 mixing it up and then nerd locations
19:43 really has the goulash going on here
19:45 I've never seen anything quite like that
19:46 complete goulash I got Curry french
19:48 fries pizza
19:49 and get that like the mountain of fries
19:52 yeah just threw them on there I was
19:54 ready to go God I thought it was biffing
19:56 bro watch over that guy all right back
19:59 up in the breakfast area nerd locations
20:01 is talking to guest services and see if
20:03 we could get back over to Colonial
20:04 Street I think maybe he might be able to
20:06 work some magic and just say that we
20:07 weren't didn't get kind of what we
20:09 expected I'm gonna see maybe something
20:12 to work out for us so I'm gonna get
20:13 another piping on a caffeinated beverage
20:14 all right we're over here at Guest
20:15 Services and appears that they're going
20:17 to kind of work it out I don't know if
20:18 we're going to be able to go to Hill
20:19 Valley but I think that we might end up
20:21 having someone take us back down there
20:23 and show us a little bit more when you
20:25 check out the water world Show the cast
20:27 is made up of actors who are currently
20:29 working as stunt performers in film and
20:30 television okay doing live stage combat
20:33 riding jet skis boats working with power
20:36 techniques all kinds of explosions it's
20:38 really a spectacular show okay
20:44 I'm getting hhn Vibes back here this is
20:44 where you have to walk for Horror Nights
20:46 inspector here oh really yeah from one
20:49 year to another the
20:51 houses or The Mazes whatever they call
20:53 them that year are in different places
20:54 throughout the park but this last year
20:57 uh this was the path to get to What's
20:59 called the age
21:07 I've never seen million gallons of water
21:07 it takes three days to fill so that's
21:09 where Norman Bates bought the car right
21:10 there and you can fill it in Parts too
21:12 and uh so this is where I've never seen
21:15 this land an airplane and film uh
21:18 exactly I have an airplane right here in
21:22 the water and then replaced of course
21:23 the blue wall with the um the skyline of
21:27 New Jersey on the Hudson River so that
21:29 is where Norman never seen this body in
21:31 the
21:35 Marion's car
21:35 wow never seen this before yeah this is
21:38 well this is even super rare the VIP
21:40 tours don't even come this way thank you
21:42 um yeah area would have been the area
21:46 known as Falls Lake it's where normally
21:47 Lake yeah was there something on the
21:49 blue screen at that time at the time yes
21:52 oh my gosh okay this thing's turning out
21:54 there wouldn't have been computer never
21:56 hurts to ask all right on Colonial so it
21:59 never hurts to ask we'll see you real
22:02 soon
22:03 you know what all the houses are
22:06 welcome
22:07 um I'm familiar with what most never
22:09 hurts to ask and express that your
22:12 favorite that you didn't get the
22:14 experience you want you just never know
22:16 if it's going to be rectified and they
22:17 are really going above and beyond here
22:19 so this entire cul-de-sac is actually
22:21 the reason this street has the name
22:22 Colonial street because there used to be
22:24 a colonial image right over here but now
22:27 uh this that's where they filmed the
22:30 last scene of the last episode of
22:33 Superstore right in that yard and then
22:35 that house somebody phrased it this way
22:37 yesterday and I thought it was Charming
22:39 is it actually has two tree houses on
22:42 that lot the one that you can plainly
22:43 see right out here in the yard
22:45 uh and then the house itself
22:48 actually has a giant eucalyptus tree
22:50 growing right through the middle of it
22:52 oh my gosh so some of these houses of
22:54 course are used strictly for filming the
22:56 outside right whereas some uh are what's
22:59 called semi-practical there are parts of
23:01 the insides that you can use for filming
23:03 some that are partially decorated some
23:06 have a usable first floor and then
23:08 stairs that lead up to basically nothing
23:11 um
23:18 is a house actually that was rebuilt for
23:18 during Desperate Housewives because the
23:21 house that was here prior to this one
23:23 was in disrepair it had been here for a
23:25 very long time and so a tornado was
23:27 written into the plot I remember
23:30 to knock that house down and build this
23:32 one and it's uh in its spot this one
23:35 here 1436 this is uh often recognized
23:39 from all of the Ace Hardware commercials
23:41 this is the Ace Hardware house this was
23:44 actually Walter's house in The Burbs
23:46 which was right here because the
23:48 cul-de-sac was here but that little and
23:50 they shifted it yeah so the cul-de-sac
23:53 over there goes down here when they
23:55 filmed the burbs they made this the
23:57 cul-de-sac and this house here
23:59 was right here and you couldn't go past
24:02 that it was kind of weird yeah there was
24:04 nothing behind it or what was supposed
24:06 to look like nothing and in the burb's
24:08 house Tom Hanks house was here but this
24:09 it's gone obviously right because that
24:11 house they actually Blew Up The Reel oh
24:13 the yeah the clopax house
24:16 this is clopex was here Tom Hanks house
24:19 was there
24:20 and then the guy that was in the Bruce
24:22 Jones character was right there actually
24:24 has a restroom in it and then Corey
24:26 Feldman's house was right there which is
24:28 also the Monstrous house kind of let's
24:31 have a look inside shut up and paint
24:32 your GD house
24:35 we'll head into the front door this is
24:38 where the clubex house was right here
24:39 this is where he pulls out
24:41 this is where he pulls out and beats the
24:43 hell out of the trash can right here Tom
24:46 Hanks and them are over there he's like
24:47 I've never seen that I've never seen
24:49 someone pull up to another driveway take
24:51 their trash beat the hell out of it with
24:53 a stick I've never seen that
24:56 and this is where uh Bruce Stern falls
24:58 off the roof
25:00 and that's where Corey Feldman's house
25:01 was over there
25:03 Department functional restroom in here
25:07 all right please let us inside dude it
25:09 never hurts to ask
25:11 all right you can decorate this wall so
25:13 that if you're pointing oh my gosh way
25:15 and framed out the plywood in the other
25:18 room it would look like you were in a
25:19 furnished house
25:25 wow oh there actually is bathrooms in
25:25 here yeah these are usable restrooms
25:27 High ceilings for
25:29 lighting equipment cameras yeah
25:31 absolutely there's also a usable
25:34 backyard that we can have a look at if
25:35 you know
25:36 oh my gosh the backyard the backyard
25:39 I'll see if I can see the telephone
25:42 patio furniture but also recently for a
25:44 very very top secret like so top secret
25:47 I literally can't tell you what it is oh
25:50 Meg there's the power pole from The
25:52 Burbs
25:57 the guy falls off right there
25:57 that's the actual power pole that he got
25:59 electrocuted on that's a good eye I've
26:01 never even noticed that wow that's the
26:04 one he like fought like gets shocked
26:05 from right there
26:08 still there
26:14 Holy Ghost
26:14 that is wild you never noticed that
26:16 before
26:17 well we don't very often come back here
26:19 on this on the tour oh Mike this has
26:22 been used recently honestly this is the
26:23 back of Tom Hank's house right there
26:25 look at that
26:28 oh my gosh that is amazing
26:40 all right that's epic
26:40 dude that's the that's the electrical
26:42 power pole
26:44 that that falls it gets electrocuted
26:47 right there oh that is it you know yeah
26:51 this is the back of Tom Hank's House
26:56 or we can go through the driveway right
26:56 over here
27:08 so a lot of the things about this house
27:08 or this street that is uh the pavement
27:11 the sidewalks the driveways the basic
27:14 structure if you've seen the birds this
27:16 is where the garbage truck was
27:18 where they're dumping all the trash out
27:19 right here
27:29 absolutely this is where it raises the
27:29 flag here
27:31 the house
27:33 because though that has appeared yet the
27:35 television series the prequel to the
27:37 movies sorry I didn't hear that part
27:39 this hasn't aired yet but it's rumored
27:41 to be the house okay yeah so this this
27:43 house is completely different but this
27:45 was Tom Hanks house in The Burbs klopex
27:47 house right here and there is that
27:50 telephone pole there and this yellow and
27:52 Stone House this is uh the house where
27:55 uh Adam this is his house
27:58 this was uh Bruce jurn's house it was
28:01 that scene where he like has the has the
28:04 also the weapon on top of the roof
28:05 blasts it off falls down over here
28:08 Feldman's like
28:10 awesome Pizza dude Feldman's rumors
28:13 right there in The Burbs
28:19 but obviously yeah Desperate Housewives
28:19 is like a huge huge movie too this is
28:21 also the house where Brian with Brian
28:22 Cranston lived in in the movie why him
28:25 okay
28:27 is this one right behind us
28:33 and this is the remake of Leave it to
28:33 Beaver house too right wasn't it like
28:34 the remake
28:36 and then this was where the car hey
28:39 Pinocchio The Burbs drives up into there
28:44 and I believe this is the Animal House
28:46 house or maybe that one is
28:48 1313 Mockingbird Lane yeah this is
28:50 originally the house from the monsters
28:53 it got a bit of a facelift though when
28:55 Desperate Housewives came to town is
28:57 that the Animal House house or is that
28:58 one do you know I think it might be that
29:01 one well this is the house so this was
29:03 Gabby's house on Desperate Housewives
29:04 and uh that's uh Eva Longoria's
29:07 character and then it was also the house
29:09 from Harvey the Jimmy Stewart movie
29:11 Harvey yeah
29:12 the Animal House
29:14 not sure we're not we can't confirm
29:19 and then this was the neighbor and the
29:21 birds this is where the car crashes in
29:23 and I believe you could even see
29:26 that same kind of window Style just even
29:28 in The Burbs
29:33 and one thing I've always heard back to
29:33 Future Part Two when Marty has a leather
29:35 jacket on in the binoculars and he's
29:37 going to where Biff lives with his
29:39 grandma going to get my car grandma
29:41 and he's like walking along that one
29:43 Beth has the ball and he throws the ball
29:45 up on the ledge most of that was on
29:47 Bushnell in South Pasadena but the
29:49 opposite sides where this was what I've
29:51 always heard never confirmed it where
29:53 Marty is on the other side of the street
29:55 was actually right here on Colonials
29:58 what I've always heard right along there
30:00 Marty McFly
30:03 somewhere in that so they actually do go
30:04 inside of rums Fields right up here
30:08 hey rumsfield
30:14 that's where him and his wife go right
30:14 in here look at this
30:19 and then across the street Tom Hank's
30:19 House been redone Walter's house which
30:22 would have been in the middle of the
30:23 street going that way making the
30:25 cul-de-sac
30:26 absolutely freaking incredible
30:36 now honestly there is just so much
30:36 history at Universal Studios Hollywood
30:39 but I would think you know Town Square
30:40 Hill Valley obviously and Courthouse
30:42 Square first Twilight Zone episode Back
30:44 to the Future Gremlins all that and then
30:47 second
30:48 to that which probably on par with that
30:50 so much filming history here on Colonial
30:53 Street 1313 Mockingbird Lane I mean a
30:56 lot of people when you do the tour now
30:57 they're always going to mention
30:58 Desperate Housewives that's the most
31:00 current thing but there's just a
31:01 plethora things that were filmed right
31:04 here on this street hundreds if not
31:05 thousands of Productions that you've
31:07 probably seen and didn't realize some of
31:09 your favorite characters are walking
31:10 right down this road or using these
31:12 facades and these Interiors
31:20 look at the size of this manhole
31:20 all right this is definitely Redeeming
31:22 the entire tour this is just awesome
31:25 the driver of the van tour guide
31:28 it's just the other one was so I think
31:30 it was so hectic I think everybody else
31:31 on the tour just wanted to kind of get
31:33 up to the theme park
31:34 but it worked out well
31:37 I think the Matlock half yeah I was a
31:39 matter of the Matlock house was over
31:40 there
31:56 maybe from this side but you'll come up
31:56 the hill in the other direction is there
31:58 a way we could drive up this hill up
32:00 this hill yeah into the driveway this is
32:02 the house of a thousand that's right
32:03 spot spot two where Bill Mosley
32:07 ends the guy's life over here on the
32:09 corner that's right the door that's also
32:11 where I will always love you with saying
32:14 inside there look inside this let's go
32:16 actually really special yeah yeah oh my
32:17 God yes it's a chicken ranch we got Elm
32:20 Street and the Boo Radley down there and
32:22 so right over here is where Bill Mosley
32:24 and the cop are and House of a thousand
32:27 right here there's like all those like
32:28 stuff was set up and this is where Dolly
32:30 Parton sings to Burt Reynolds was that
32:32 head into the door let's look in the
32:35 door yeah
32:38 Texas
32:45 this is where Dolly sang I Will Always
32:45 Love You Inside here
32:48 on those steps are there right here can
32:50 we look in the door let's head up the
32:51 porch and we can look in the door just
32:53 don't go in the house okay because truth
32:55 be told the houses are not meant to be
32:57 inhabited so there's no co-working House
32:59 of a thousand
33:01 oh
33:03 the house itself this being a practical
33:04 set one you can use to film both in and
33:06 out is really extraordinary that is
33:10 crazy
33:11 this whole house when it was used for
33:13 Best Little Whorehouse in Texas also
33:15 used to be on a hinge like a dollhouse
33:17 yeah you open the house up and also
33:19 Beethoven hey Beethoven was here
33:23 I recognize that staircase nerd
33:29 that is awesome
33:31 man I have wanted to stand up here for
33:33 years
33:35 uh do you know that's a great question
33:37 the outside was definitely used as the
33:39 Firefly house in House of a Thousand
33:41 Corpses I don't know that they use the
33:42 inside the inside is absolutely from
33:45 best little world oh yeah because she
33:46 was on the banister singing right there
33:48 yeah oh my gosh our Dolly Parton's I
33:51 Will Always Love You
33:52 this is the inside of the festival
34:04 and then yeah it's kind of an unknown
34:04 one but yeah right here
34:06 Bill Mosley House of a thousand
34:09 the Firefly house
34:11 hey this look they made this look like a
34:13 real Road and all this was like kind of
34:15 shacks and dilapidated stuff
34:18 I can't line it up because I wasn't
34:20 prepared for this but it's somewhere
34:21 right in here
34:23 I mean you could definitely notice if
34:24 you watch the movie you can see all that
34:32 unbelievable it's turned out to be a
34:32 good also yeah Beethoven
34:34 in Buried locations try to match it up
34:51 it's freaking great look at this
34:51 how often are you going to get that
34:52 angle
35:05 brother that's the area
35:05 they're going to drive us back by the
35:07 lion estate Recreation signs right there
35:12 oh of course we'll get the right angle
35:14 though so we can get a picture
35:19 that's blocked
35:19 that's all right we can get to the the
35:21 side of it over here
35:23 and from the way I understand it these
35:25 are Recreations oh yeah yeah so you got
35:28 the lion Estates but then over here it
35:31 actually shows
35:34 officially licensed exact Recreations
35:36 original lion estate skates from Back to
35:38 the Future or commissioned where we're
35:39 going back Joe Walser and Ken were
35:41 displayed at the long weekend of 30th
35:42 anniversary night these were created
35:44 back in October of 2015.
35:57 they recreated them in 2015 for the
35:57 We're Going Back event
36:05 s
36:15 this is a creature
36:15 I was in nope right by this Lake you can
36:18 immediately recognize the fountains and
36:21 those sound stages in the background and
36:23 nope all right because the opening of
36:25 that movie takes place in a movie studio
36:27 yeah right here all right one last stop
36:29 again they've been very accommodating
36:32 this would out this was Alfred
36:33 Hitchcock's office
36:36 5195 I have driven past this 100 plus
36:39 times in the regular tour in the
36:41 VIP with this driving guide are allowing
36:44 us to get out here and he got hitchcocks
36:48 oh yeah
37:03 all right we're now exiting out of here
37:03 where we had access in there and they
37:07 were very kind the guys were very kind I
37:08 think the day has been redeemed totally
37:12 redeem yourself
37:18 no house but I saw Albert Hitchcock's
37:18 office I know so good
37:20 today worked out good
37:22 today worked out really good a little
37:24 slow yeah start a little slow but ended
37:27 perfect probably one of the best VIP
37:29 tours I've ever done
37:30 we all need Desperate Housewives
37:32 The Burbs
37:34 they gave us another complimentary water
37:36 I had a coffee
37:38 started off
37:40 I don't know started off at probably
37:42 around a D minus and now it's an A plus
37:44 a plus plus plus Universal Studios come
37:49 visit the studio that gets thumbs up and
37:52 if you have an opinion about something
37:53 go talk to the VIP guys
37:55 express your grievances maybe they'll
37:58 work it out for you yeah all right
38:00 heading back over to my hotel which is
38:02 on the other side looking into the park
38:05 I'm not sure what floor those are but
38:07 I'm kind of close to the top I'll show
38:08 you what I'm up there and that's gonna
38:10 do it for today
38:11 started off a little rough
38:13 but ended up working out for the best
38:17 it was actually a really good good time
38:19 and now I know for a future reference to
38:21 be a little bore
38:23 informative informed or
38:26 let them know exactly kind of what you
38:28 want to see
38:32 when you're doing the tour
38:32 it was a good time
38:34 I'll see you in the next video the Vlog
38:37 is over
38:38 bonus footage it is kind of incredible
38:41 though that they show that you're going
38:43 to see this this would never happen
38:45 let alone are you going to be able to go
38:47 in to an area where they are filming
38:50 something and you're certainly not going
38:52 to have the you're not going to be
38:54 watching this happen
39:04 it would have been nice to go back there
39:04 but they were setting up for for
39:06 something
39:08 as stated every time I do this it's a
39:10 totally different totally different
39:11 experience
39:13 see here's some this shows that they're
39:15 filming something you would never be in
39:17 an area where they're filming something
39:19 so I'm not sure why
39:20 that's the case
39:22 oh I was there right there
39:30 okay this we got to see this is the prop
39:30 Warehouse we're not allowed to take
39:32 photos in there though that was that
39:34 makes sense so they didn't want photos
39:35 inside the prop Warehouse
39:38 Gourmet dining food on point
39:41 and express you can walk on all the
39:43 rides which is nice we did a couple a
39:45 couple of the rides it wasn't really a
39:47 ride day however like this
39:49 is never going to happen happens Beyond
39:51 like
39:52 I don't know that's yeah you're not
39:54 gonna see a guy flying out the window
39:57 explosion into an airbag with that's not
39:59 gonna yeah that's that's not that's not
40:01 gonna happen
40:02 they saw that that was great
40:08 all in all
40:08 a really good day
40:12 big thank you to the vi experience crew
40:15 and team
40:21 had a good time
40:21 first it was yeah I was a little iffy at
40:22 first but it worked out
40:25 all right that's it
