0:14 anaheim that i have seen many times but

0:19 and it looks very unique very

0:23 and quite possibly very tasty i'm

0:28 shall you loading up the backpack with
0:31 some supplies and whenever i take the
0:32 bicycle
0:33 i always bring along that that pump

0:37 just in case my tire needs air
0:41 the on ramp to the five freeway right
0:51 the route i have chosen is down catella
0:51 and then i'm gonna take the next turn
0:54 i think it's the next turn and then it's
0:57 down about a mile
0:59 from this from this spot

1:10 haven't figured out if i'm allowed to

1:12 on the sidewalk through here or if i'm
1:14 supposed to stay on the road
1:16 sometimes i'm up on the sidewalk but

1:19 i stay in the road this is just kind of
1:22 a makeshift
1:23 bike lane if you will seems as if
1:27 traffic on this side of the street
1:30 not too not too heavy
1:34 most were getting on the freeway back
1:36 there it's a little traffic but not too
1:37 bad
1:38 there is some heavy duty oh there's a
1:40 jeep heavy-duty machinery over and
1:42 over in there some construction
1:44 happening
1:46 out of the palm tree section
1:50 and into these
1:59 going right through the middle there's
1:59 some on either side of me
2:07 cross streets of cerritos ave and
2:08 anaheim boulevard
2:09 you can see the the spot over there
2:13 saying come on in like a tractor beam
2:15 it's like a beacon
2:16 i got the all go ahead in fact i have 23

2:32 they have breakfast they have lunch they
2:34 have dinner
2:35 this is a glorious looking facade
2:40 as old school as it gets and that's why
2:44 i'm here
2:46 sometimes i'm just kind of pulled in by
2:49 the way a place looks especially when it
2:52 screams nostalgia
2:54 and vintageness oh man

3:02 get a burger i am a self-proclaimed
3:06 aficionado when it comes to coca-cola

3:32 oh you know i gotta get a hamburger
3:39 it's hot it's definitely gonna happen

3:42 try it out to see if it has a dial tone
3:45 i'm just going to assume that it is

3:48 quite operational and the pickup window

3:53 is open there is a caution eight foot

4:05 that awning's awesome this place is a

4:09 and i can't eat here there's no tables
4:11 set up out front they've all been
4:12 flipped over you know for
4:14 for the time being during the the
4:17 current environment
4:18 i have chosen a regular hamburger
4:21 actually i got the cheeseburger
4:22 and i went with a green tea which was a
4:25 85 cent up charge from a soda
4:28 and i didn't ask if they were fries or
4:30 onion rings but
4:31 i would imagine they're gonna have it's
4:33 gonna be fries
4:35 just a few moments before the clock
4:38 strikes
4:38 noon i've been trying to eat lunch you
4:41 know around the noon time frame look at
4:43 this
4:44 look at the architecture of this place
4:46 this is awesome yeah
4:47 they don't you don't see places like
4:48 this too often anymore this is a
4:51 a local eatery if ever there was one
4:54 also have sandwiches quesadillas dinners
4:58 salads breakfast plates i always enjoy
5:01 noticing the little details you can see
5:03 how
5:04 this is kind of the way this is built it
5:07 kind of slants up there
5:10 i don't know i get i get a kick out of
5:12 little things about to
5:13 unlike unlock the bicycle and i got my
5:17 bag of food here
5:18 you know it's going to be good because
5:19 you can always see you can already see
5:21 the grease starting to permeate through
5:22 there but notice that there is a
5:26 there is a bee down there you want some

5:31 do bees eat burgers it doesn't really
5:34 show up on camera too much the wind has
5:36 kind of
5:36 wafted it away but you can see the
5:40 the goodness of the smoky char-broiled
5:44 cookery that was happening except the
5:46 augusta wind kind of
5:48 got rid of that ambiance okay
5:51 i'm hungry if you look closely you can
5:53 see guardians of the galaxy over there
5:55 in the credit coaster
5:57 have procured a a place right here
6:01 across the road with it in view just
6:04 next to the bus stop
6:06 oh he'll hear a helicopter going by
6:14 it's just out of it's just out of frame
6:14 and
6:14 this is what we're dealing with first
6:17 the drink there
6:18 got the arizona real brewed
6:22 green tea in a can a
6:25 decent sized can with ginseng and honey
6:30 in a while i had one of those and i'm
6:32 going to use this kind of as my
6:34 makeshift
6:35 plate and inside a classic
6:38 almost like a lunch school lunchtime bag
6:42 is the accessory well we got first i got
6:44 the
6:45 first i got the napkins there even from
6:47 this angle it is a
6:49 wonderful sight have to get very
6:52 creative i don't really have an extended
6:54 tripod
6:55 and that tree there putting it in the oh
6:57 i hear the
6:58 i hear the parrots oh the parrots are

7:02 you hear him up there squawking right

7:05 george's hamburgers but as i was saying
7:09 i'm going to put the camera right here
7:12 on the seat that way and face
7:14 over towards the establishment it might
7:17 be just a little bit too
7:19 shadowed out and normally i don't like
7:21 to have a bunch of traffic
7:22 going in and out of the you know of the
7:25 frame
7:26 i think i have it i think i have it

7:30 i have it's a little very close but
7:32 that's okay
7:34 vicarious you can enjoy this
7:38 with me there oh yeah it smells
7:42 smells really good fries
7:53 it's been a little while since i had
7:53 fries i've been opting for
7:55 you know other options for options
7:58 that might be basically the same word

8:17 at most places but this is like two

8:43 not a bad deal i haven't bitten into it

8:47 i'm pretty sure it's gonna definitely be
8:48 worth the money
8:55 and i can see it right there right over
9:00 up as an officer pulled someone over

9:18 well it might run parallel to harbor
9:21 which is the next one over
9:22 yeah it does if you go that way
9:26 it turns into a different road name

9:30 to harbor i digress all packaged up and
9:33 looking very wonderful if i do say so
9:37 myself i can see the cheese there just
9:40 kind of protruding outwardly from the
9:42 bun
9:43 we got the little seeds on top of the
9:46 bread
9:46 oh look the juices are oozing down the
9:50 side
9:57 okay there we go you can kind of see in
9:57 there a little bit more
9:58 take a bite take a bite i'm dropping
10:02 some of the lettuce on my
10:03 my pant leg
10:20 it's happening motorcycle officer
10:20 has now left the scene he did not go in
10:22 and order anything
10:27 it could maybe be their secret sauce a
10:27 lot of places use
10:29 a thousand island type of dressing as a
10:32 secret sauce
10:33 cannot confirm or deny that's what
10:34 they're using
10:36 but that's the first thing i think of
10:39 tomatoes really good
10:48 when i was younger for you i didn't like
10:48 tomatoes at all
10:50 so get those tomatoes out of here get
10:52 them the heck
10:54 out of here now i prefer them i should
10:56 have kind of planted myself somewhere

11:00 but i'm already i'm already i'm all in

11:32 showcasing that i'm not i'm not saying

11:34 but i am in the bottom percentile of
11:37 those who are very neat when they eat i
11:40 get all into it
11:42 i love food
11:49 i look forward to lunch each day
11:49 mostly because i don't eat a lot in the
11:51 evening i ate this one meal
11:54 and then at night around 6 or 7 p.m i
11:57 will have a salad usually a spinach
11:59 salad from a pre-packaged container
12:03 put it on a plate well it's like a fresh
12:04 container but it's in like a plastic
12:06 container
12:08 and then i'll throw a good couple
12:11 helpings
12:12 spoonfuls of cottage cheese on there and
12:15 some light ranch dressing and that's
12:16 what i have for
12:17 evening and it makes it makes me feel
12:20 comfortable at night where i don't have
12:22 like a full
12:23 full belly like eating something this
12:25 heavy and that's been my routine
12:27 through the course of not the entire
12:29 this entire series but the last
12:31 week or two that's what i've been doing
12:32 and i feel really good i feel really
12:34 dang good
12:36 but by this time of the day by by around
12:39 noon
12:40 give or take i'm pretty hungry you have
12:43 to really use your imagination on where
12:44 to
12:45 where to get the proper camera angles to
12:48 really showcase the location
14:09 completed the hamburger now i just gotta
14:09 just gotta dive into the rest of these
14:17 fries
14:17 not too heavily salted there's a lot a
14:19 little salt on them
14:21 and maybe some other seasonings
14:24 but the little nibble that i had leads
14:27 me to believe the rest of them will be
14:29 just as good
14:30 difficult too
14:54 well no i'm you know no i'm i'm pointing
14:54 at your front your backs are on the
14:55 other side but i mean you're back you're
14:57 you're back to say hello i asked how
15:00 long they have been going strong
15:02 they said 50 plus years
15:05 never closed there could possibly be a
15:07 little asterisk after that fact
15:10 you know based on what's been happening
15:12 but they've been doing takeout
15:18 i can't zoom in from here but i just saw
15:18 a
15:18 huge flame go up
15:22 wow that was awesome it is seriously
15:25 when they say char broiled
15:27 that's what they're doing in there i can
15:28 see it from here it's gone now with just
15:30 like one quick little burst
15:32 yeah you can't really see in there we
15:33 can see in the door but you can't see
15:35 the flame has dissipated
15:36 now you can really see the other
15:38 seasonings that are down in there
15:40 that is not your typical salt look you
15:42 can see the
15:49 there we go you're probably
15:53 taking a gander at me from over there
15:55 saying that's the guy that came in here
15:58 asking a couple questions about our
16:00 history filming the lobby area in the
16:02 menu
16:04 they thought they were rid of me they
16:05 thought i was going to go elsewhere
16:07 and now they're probably as they're in
16:09 there preparing their delicious meal
16:11 for the next customer seeing me over
16:14 here thinking
16:15 this is probably gonna be on the
16:16 internet
16:22 if they aren't thinking that they think
16:22 i've lost my mind
16:27 it could be a balance of both and i know
16:27 it can seem a little unusual
16:29 but i do enjoy showcasing
16:33 local eateries usually within an hour of
16:35 my place this isn't too far this is only
16:37 a few miles
16:38 this is closer than some which brings me
16:40 to this point uh
16:42 the thing i like about this where the
16:43 series is going or where it has gone
16:45 i i have a number in mind when i'm gonna
16:48 stop it but i might go before then it
16:49 might go a little longer but
16:51 i have an idea of a pinpointed stopping
16:54 point
16:54 date wise but what i was think what i
16:56 was trying to say
16:58 is the thing i enjoy about it it's a
16:59 nice mixture some places need no
17:02 introductions they are so
17:03 iconic to southern california la
17:07 orange county areas that it's just
17:10 you know when when they're presented
17:12 it's like i know that place i've seen it
17:13 whether on tv
17:15 or heard about it through you know word
17:17 of mouth and there's others like like
17:19 what i'm showing that might just be a
17:21 kind of a mom-and-pop type cut type of
17:25 fair not a fair but a mom-and-pop
17:28 mom and pop type place and then other
17:31 ones
17:31 have a deep meaning for me there might
17:34 be an establishment that's like
17:36 why did he go there everyone's been
17:38 there it's kind of just a real basic
17:39 type of place
17:41 but i'd like to put a little personal
17:42 spin in it and you know
17:44 have a little heart to heart and talk
17:46 and you know
17:48 get out what i am feeling what i am
17:49 thinking so it's a mixture of those
17:51 three or four
17:53 things i'm really feeling that
17:57 the peppering in of whatever i just
17:59 dropped one on the ground dang it one
18:00 just fell out
18:02 onto the sidewalk that's okay i have
18:04 plenty more in fact
18:05 i don't even know if i'm gonna finish
18:06 all these it's getting pretty full
18:10 the seasoning though is really drifting
18:11 down to the bottom of the package
18:15 a lot of flavor
18:28 still whistling away
