0:03 welcome everyone Adam to Wu here has a
0:03 recording of this Tuesday December 20th
0:05 wearing an appropriate jacket you can
0:09 see
0:10 cast of characters there
0:12 spaceship earth other Disney as a tree
0:15 of life
0:16 lots of Disney
0:18 iconic places at Walt Disney World which
0:21 is just right next to where I live here
0:22 in Celebration Florida and wearing an
0:25 appropriate hat Tampa Bay Rays
0:27 favorite baseball team
0:29 favorite theme park
0:31 and now they are co-joined
0:35 Major League Baseball is coming back
0:38 to Disney World I'm inviting you to join
0:40 me
0:41 shall you
0:42 Mr gentlemen on the bike riding by was
0:44 just wearing a Tampa Bay race cap also
0:47 what a weird coincidence
0:50 do not feed the squirrels
0:57 the Atlanta Braves used a spring train
0:57 at Disney's Wide World of Sports which
0:59 is about two or three miles not too far
1:01 five minute commute
1:03 just past the Mickey power pole give or
1:05 take kind of in that general area
1:08 years ago but baseball MLB baseball has
1:11 not been played on Disney World property
1:13 in a heck of a long time and I feel like
1:15 I have somehow in a roundabout way put
1:18 this into the universe
1:20 I've been following very intently Tampa
1:23 Bay Rays
1:24 for two years now last year went full on
1:27 visited nine away stadiums as well as
1:30 Tropicana Field probably 20 home games
1:31 so I went to at least 35 maybe more
1:34 because I went to nine stadiums but I
1:36 went to almost all the entire series at
1:40 said stadiums I'm gonna talk a little
1:41 bit more about that as well and I'm
1:43 gonna go over to why World of Sports and
1:45 show as of this morning well I found out
1:48 today I think it was announced this
1:49 morning I just found out
1:50 the Rays are going to be spring training
1:53 at Disney World what in the name of heck
1:56 is going on in my life
1:58 favorite team favorite theme park
2:00 now connected
2:02 and I feel like this will be the only
2:03 year that that will happen so I've got
2:05 to go go all in
2:07 starting in mid-February until March 1st
2:09 it's only for like two or three weeks
2:11 I'll explain more so basically the way
2:13 it this scenario played out is the
2:16 hurricane that came through here a few
2:17 months ago
2:18 while hurricane Ian I believe it was not
2:21 the not the prior hurricane but the
2:22 hurricane before that went through the
2:25 Fort Myers area which is near Port
2:26 Charlotte this is really really cool old
2:29 classic vehicle
2:30 and really did a lot of damage to where
2:33 the race Spring train so they had to
2:35 find another place and they are going to
2:37 go half and half
2:39 at Tropicana Field which is in Saint
2:41 Pete where they play their home games
2:42 later the second half of spring training
2:45 the first half is going to be at Disney
2:47 World
2:48 which brings me to this subject matter
2:50 and I want to talk a little bit
2:53 about my travel plans
2:55 for 2023 I figured
2:58 I could kind of mention those too I have
3:00 some good some cool ideas that I'm going
3:02 to also be mentioning classic car alert
3:04 okay as I'm reading this four hours ago
3:06 this was posted
3:08 got a news article
3:11 stating
3:12 MLB is coming back to Walt Disney World
3:15 next year Tuesday Disney and Tampa Bay
3:17 Rays announced so it was today they
3:19 agreed a portion of team spring training
3:21 to be at ESPN
3:22 Wide World of Sports that's the
3:24 hurricane Ian damage part of Port
3:26 Charlotte so they're looking forward to
3:28 providing professional facilities world
3:29 famous Hospitality players and coaches
3:31 thankful for Disney's willingness to
3:33 accommodate our unexpected spring
3:36 training needs which to me means that
3:39 once
3:40 Port Charlotte is fixed
3:42 next year the year after next well not
3:45 this upcoming spring training with the
3:46 next everything will be back to normal
3:47 they'll be back in South Florida
3:49 it looks like the Braves left in 2009 so
3:52 it's been three years
3:54 man I am excited about the Rays coming
3:57 to Disney right in my backyard and over
3:59 on the raised MLB page race 2023 spring
4:03 camp to open
4:05 at Disney
4:11 not able to use Port Charlotte
4:11 or Charlotte sports park in Port
4:12 Charlotte
4:13 razor hold the first phase of MLB spring
4:15 training and this is ESPN Wild Water
4:17 Sports Complex and then moving to
4:20 Tropicana Field where they play their
4:21 home gangs which for me I don't know if
4:23 I want to see spring training out there
4:24 at the regular Stadium this is
4:27 definitely more my vibe to see spring
4:29 training over here and it's a lot closer
4:31 goes on to say pitchers and catchers are
4:32 reporting on February 14th early arrival
4:35 slated for February 6th and they go on
4:38 until March 1st there's going to be one
4:40 game played only one game they're going
4:43 to be training so I'll be able to go
4:44 over there talk to players see the
4:46 players document a little bit of that
4:48 and then after
4:49 to raise MLB leaves the minor league
4:52 Camp will be based there all the way
4:54 through the entirety of spring training
4:56 which is pretty awesome see if it says
4:58 anything about the actual date of the
5:00 game
5:01 Braves use the facility for 22 years so
5:03 it is baseball ready
5:12 yeah this is pretty cool
5:12 I believe it is the 28th February 28th I
5:16 believe is the game that they're going
5:18 to play see if I can find some more info
5:19 okay here we go
5:21 Major League spring training workouts
5:22 plus a February 28th home game will take
5:25 place Lake Buena Vista Florida at the
5:27 Disney complex okay February 28th is the
5:29 one game that's happening here's an
5:31 example of the traffic on I-4 Westbound
5:34 many many times I've taken this to
5:36 Tropicana Field
5:45 two-hour commute
5:45 if I'm lucky
5:51 for regular season baseball games and
5:51 I'll still do that next year as well a
5:53 few times
5:54 I kind of feel like this is a nice
5:55 little
5:57 just handed to me the fact that I'll be
6:00 able to go see the race within a few
6:01 miles from my Homestead
6:04 won't have to get on I-4
6:06 to go to spring training and then down
6:08 to Port Charlotte for spring training
6:10 got Donald right there saying hello
6:14 I don't do a very good Donald
6:16 but then take a look this is how close
6:18 it is
6:18 Hollywood Studios or ESPN wild Wilder
6:22 Sports
6:23 Don't Mind If I Do
6:40 oh dang
6:40 currently closed
6:43 I don't know how far I can drive up here
6:45 evidently not going to be able to get in
6:46 and see the stadium but you probably get
6:48 pretty close all right that didn't work
6:49 out
6:50 it's all closed off so I'm not gonna
6:52 head over towards my parents house my
6:54 sister and her husband are in town have
6:56 a little family time but I'm gonna pull
6:58 off and just discuss a little bit about
7:00 those travel plans and race stuff and
7:02 all that momentarily I made the commute
7:05 over here to Osceola Heritage Park
7:06 Osceola Stadium here in Kissimmee
7:09 Florida where back in the day Houston
7:11 Astros spring trained here for a long
7:13 time Wildwood to sports Brave Spring
7:15 train there but the Astros back in the
7:17 90s
7:18 Spring train here and I would show up
7:21 quite a bit got quite a few autographs
7:22 met a few players from back in those
7:23 days Craig bijio Jeff Bagwell even Yogi
7:27 Bear a coach for a short short while
7:30 for the Astros and met Yogi Berra as
7:33 well the sorta was here with the Dodgers
7:34 for a spring training game
7:36 it was a long time ago and then after
7:38 that
7:39 I ended up working here
7:42 part-time during spring training at one
7:44 of these concession booths selling hot
7:46 dogs and
7:48 beverages things like that peanuts I
7:51 never worked in the aisles
7:53 I never went out in the stadium itself a
7:55 small stadium
7:56 but I worked
7:57 in that little very one right there well
7:59 I would just kind of Shuffle around and
8:01 work in there working there this is the
8:05 a few decades ago
8:07 I always loved baseball really started
8:09 getting back into it in the last couple
8:11 of two years or so
8:14 really went down the Rays rabbit hole
8:17 obviously I rooted for both teams I
8:19 lived on both coasts the angels I lived
8:21 one mile from Anaheim Angel Stadium
8:23 Angel Stadium Los Angeles Angels of
8:26 Anaheim now called
8:28 but when I moved out here permanently
8:30 even though I travel a lot up at
8:33 Celebration about you know 9 80 90 mile
8:36 commute
8:37 over to Saint Pete's Tropicana Field I
8:39 really
8:40 started getting into the Rays and
8:42 I'm fully on board with the race
8:45 but since I cannot get up to where
8:46 they're going to be spring training this
8:48 year
8:48 why World of Sports for the next best
8:51 thing was just kind of discuss
8:52 my baseball plans for next year look at
8:54 this is a big baseball
8:55 here at Osceola County Stadium
8:59 just kind of makes sense now even though
9:01 the rays are only going to be playing as
9:02 from what I've heard one technical game
9:05 at the stadium up at Disney World
9:09 they will have a couple weeks there
9:10 where you'll be able to go up talk to
9:11 the players beat the players get
9:12 autographs if you so choose photographs
9:14 it's kind of an intimate experience just
9:17 like it was here in the Houston Astros
9:19 used to Spring train here spring
9:21 training is quite the vibe
9:23 and as I said because it's going to be
9:24 in my backyard makes it really really
9:26 cool
9:28 now what I'm going to do for the regular
9:30 season
9:31 just like I did last year I went to a
9:34 lot of away games I'm going to continue
9:36 that tradition this year and next year
9:40 well this year I did it but also next
9:42 year next year's within a couple weeks
9:43 in 2023 and in 2024 I'm gonna be hitting
9:48 the away games pretty dang hard rooting
9:52 for the race here are all the stadiums I
9:54 went to last year while rooting for the
9:57 Tampa Bay Rays
9:58 Tropicana Field of course their home
10:00 stadium that's one I went to Wrigley it
10:03 was snowing at Wrigley Field I went to
10:05 the White Sox also a while in Chicago
10:07 guaranteed Ray I went to Angel Stadium
10:09 it's all the Rays versus the angels and
10:12 went to Oakland Coliseum for like a four
10:14 game series I went to quite a few games
10:16 up in Oakland the Bay Area I went to
10:18 Seattle Mariners
10:20 went to the Red Sox I went to
10:22 three or four Gay I can't remember which
10:24 I think which is three three games
10:25 at Fenway Park sat behind
10:28 the raised dugout on the third base line
10:32 also another game sat up in the green
10:34 monster a little bucket list I also with
10:36 the Cincinnati Reds Great American Park
10:37 and went to the
10:40 ALDS they didn't make it to the
10:42 championship series
10:43 but I went to a couple get two games a
10:45 Progressive Field
10:46 against the Cleveland Guardians so I've
10:48 got nine knocked off my list so far and
10:51 to continue that I believe I have to
10:53 check the schedule I'll show the
10:54 schedule the race schedule next year for
10:55 23. regular season not not spring
10:58 training I got a little fall in a spring
10:59 training tangent but the regular season
11:01 when that kicks off really going to go
11:02 hard on that
11:03 13 I believe are 13 more stadiums which
11:07 means by the end of next season you know
11:09 unless something happens obviously you
11:11 know never know what travel plans or
11:13 life things get in the way things like
11:16 but barring anything anything emergency
11:19 wise I should be able to go to 13
11:21 stadiums next year which means I would
11:23 have done 22 stadiums
11:25 in two years
11:27 which means in 2024
11:30 I should be able to knock off every
11:31 stadium in MLB
11:34 with the Rays playing there I know a lot
11:37 of people have probably visited all the
11:39 stadiums like there's 30 stadiums I have
11:41 to look that up I think there's 30
11:42 stadiums a lot of people have done the
11:44 30 stadium tour over the tenure of a few
11:48 seasons or maybe their lifetime I'm not
11:50 sure how many it's probably less
11:54 percentage-wise of people who are
11:56 rooting for their team at all those
11:58 stadiums
11:59 I know they're probably people who have
12:01 done it
12:02 but I am going to document it I did nine
12:04 last year
12:06 hopefully it can do at least a dozen I
12:09 mean if I can do all 13 that'd be wild
12:10 don't know don't hold me to that but in
12:13 the next series of years
12:15 maybe possibly the next two years if I
12:17 can hit every Stadium oh wow
12:19 that would be cool later in life to be
12:21 sitting on the porch in a rocking chair
12:22 talking about baseball with the youngins
12:25 and bring up that little little fact I
12:27 think that'd be pretty cool now this
12:29 ticket booth has closed closed
12:32 but I want to show
12:33 the schedule that the Rays have starting
12:36 next year this does not include spring
12:37 training opening day is against Detroit
12:40 Tigers at home at Tropicana Field on
12:43 March the last day of March I believe it
12:45 is let me just kind of pin this in here
12:48 the 30th of March so disregard anything
12:51 that's in blue because blue are home
12:53 games yeah I'll probably go to a couple
12:55 home games here and there you know
12:57 certain ones I'll go to some home games
12:58 but all in all
13:00 because Tropicana Field really is a
13:02 chore for me to get out there you know
13:04 it's about two hours on a good day two
13:06 and a half on a bad day with traffic
13:09 I would rather just go to away games
13:11 knock off a bunch of away stadiums so
13:14 example if I stick to this plan
13:17 means I could do one or more of a
13:20 three-game series in Washington that's
13:22 one I got to get my passport I could go
13:24 to Toronto over here on the 14th
13:26 Cincinnati I've already done so we've
13:28 already got two in there then you go
13:31 over I have not done Baltimore haven't
13:32 done Orioles haven't done the Yankees I
13:36 haven't gone to a Mets game anything
13:38 that's in the white there are away games
13:41 so you knock those out
13:43 boss and I already did Chicago I already
13:45 did last year
13:46 Oakland I already did but look at this
13:49 the pot they're playing the Padres they
13:52 hardly ever play the Padres Arizona
13:53 they're a play
13:55 Seattle Mariners I already did
13:57 let's go over here to July before the
14:00 All-Star breaks so Seattle have already
14:01 been to I've already been to bears but I
14:03 have not been to the Kansas City Stadium
14:04 I haven't been to the Royals haven't
14:06 been to Rangers
14:08 since I was a kid I went to a Texas
14:09 Rangers games when I was a kid I think
14:11 that's in Arlington but I haven't been
14:13 one where the razor playing anytime in
14:15 the last couple decades I haven't seen
14:16 the Rangers
14:17 and then Detroit Tigers over here
14:20 San Francisco Giants they never play San
14:23 Francisco Giants
14:24 in San Francisco I want to be there for
14:27 that angels I went to last year Miami
14:28 have not been to that Stadium yet
14:30 Cleveland I just went to will not be
14:32 going back to Cleveland anytime soon
14:33 Minneapolis would be kind of cool
14:36 and that's it I think that's 13.
14:39 I think it's 13. let me recount yeah
14:41 just recounted up the ones I mentioned
14:43 the ones I had not to bought to last
14:45 year the ones that are away games I
14:47 could technically go to
14:49 you know if like I said if something
14:52 might come up but if I have the ability
14:54 to go and fly or drive to those places I
14:57 could go to 13 cities 13 new stadiums I
15:00 have not been to where'd my gear sitting
15:03 up close rooting for the boys
15:06 be pretty awesome and if I don't do 30
15:08 if I can't do all 13. if they do a
15:09 Baker's Dozen I could get pretty close
15:10 to that and what I will also do is while
15:13 I'm in those cities
15:15 places I don't normally go will be able
15:17 to do other videos you know let's say
15:18 document one of the games
15:21 maybe not go to the entire series while
15:24 I'm in those places but at least go to
15:25 one game just to like check the old
15:27 check the check mark off
15:29 and then I can explore and do things
15:31 around each of those places throughout
15:33 the course of the year I think it's a
15:35 good idea pretty excited about this
15:37 I wasn't going to announce this until
15:39 you know after New Year's or New Year's
15:41 making like a New Year's announcement
15:42 but with the new fangled announcement
15:46 with the Tampa Bay Ray there's people
15:48 probably in those campers right there
15:50 wondering why I'm yelling they probably
15:52 are
15:53 I don't know why those ranked campers
15:54 are there but
15:55 I'm putting it into the world now I feel
15:58 like in a roundabout way
16:00 Disney
16:01 and Tampa Bay Rays as much as I heavily
16:03 I have been going
16:05 to raise games and to Disney the fact
16:08 that both those are now going to be
16:09 connected
16:10 it's a sign I think I feel like in a
16:13 weird way me putting the thoughts out
16:15 there made the universe make it happen
16:17 not really but in my mind it did since
16:19 I'm already on the subject talking about
16:21 the Tampa Bay Rays it's going to be
16:22 interesting next year not seeing some
16:24 familiar faces
16:25 that I have gotten used to seeing for
16:29 the Rays first baseman G-Man Choi is
16:31 gone moved on to another team
16:34 Mike Zunino catcher has moved on to
16:36 another team Brett Phillips who they let
16:39 go three quarters of the way through the
16:41 season last year one of my favorite
16:43 players for the Rays
16:44 off of the race and Kevin Kiermaier who
16:47 I got to see hit a walk-off home run
16:50 with my dad my dad went to a game we
16:53 were sitting right there on the first
16:54 Baseline right behind the raise Dugout
16:57 saw Kiermaier hit that home run believe
16:59 was into right field winning the game I
17:02 documented a lot of race guys it's going
17:04 to be very interesting to see a lot of
17:06 those key players who had kind of big
17:08 pay payroll contracts
17:10 are gone now and the rays are getting
17:12 new players
17:14 just an always a cycle a lot of players
17:16 are coming back a lot of players are
17:18 moving on
17:20 I'm excited about next season though I
17:21 feel
17:22 I feel good about next season
17:25 anyway I digress just wanted to kind of
17:28 talk about that
17:29 no more G-Man
17:31 no more KK no more G-Man
17:35 it's a new era no pun intended because
17:37 the headwear continuing the baseball
17:38 talk this might bore bore a lot of
17:40 people but continuing the baseball talk
17:42 next year next season after spring
17:44 training going into the regular season
17:45 2023 a lot of things are changing across
17:48 the game of baseball a lot of new rules
17:50 in place one of the changes is the fact
17:54 that teams are going to play teams they
17:56 don't normally play more often out of
17:59 division teams and whatnot from what I
18:01 am hearing every team has to play every
18:04 other team at least one time in the
18:07 regular season for example now you have
18:10 the Rays versus the Padres the Rays
18:12 versus The Dodgers
18:13 teams like that that don't normally play
18:15 as much are not going to be playing each
18:17 other every year in the way it works now
18:19 is
18:20 those said teams
18:22 will play one series at home for the
18:25 other team like for example the Dodgers
18:28 next year 2023 are playing at Tropicana
18:31 Field
18:32 2024 the Rays should be going to LA to
18:37 play the Dodgers in LA
18:42 that'd be pretty cool to be at Dodger
18:42 Stadium in 2024 seeing the Rays play so
18:45 that's kind of how it's going to work so
18:46 that gives me the opportunity it's like
18:49 a sign
18:50 be able to accomplish this goal going to
18:53 all 30 stadiums seeing the Tampa Bay
18:55 Rays against their opponent at those
18:58 stadiums and knock out every MLB
19:01 baseball stadium
19:04 seeing the team I like in that Stadium
19:06 within a span of three years last year I
19:09 did nine
19:10 might do 12 or 13 next year and then 24.
19:13 polish off the rest
19:15 man why am I talking so why so excitedly
19:19 anyway that's what's gonna happen I will
19:22 do road trips next year I will travel
19:23 I'll still do some theme park stuff I
19:25 will also do some movie locations just
19:27 basically business as usual but I will
19:30 be going to places I don't normally go
19:33 which is going to be nice
19:35 kind of a you know it's kind of a nice
19:37 mix doing this baseball thing really
19:40 helps me go to other places and as
19:42 stated last year I think I filmed a
19:44 little too much baseball so if I went to
19:47 a stadium that I hadn't been to I would
19:49 film more than one game I think this
19:50 year I just do one game and then
19:52 document other things around the town
19:55 and kind of mix it up a little bit more
19:56 or maybe not
19:58 who knows of me thanks for listening
20:00 it's raining I'm gonna go do some family
20:03 time for the holidays
20:04 and I'll see you in the next video
20:06 the Vlog
20:08 raise up
20:10 oh I'm so excited they're gonna be at
20:12 have I mentioned that
20:14 it's only one game but two at least two
20:17 solid weeks of them being in my backyard
20:20 being able to go there
20:22 meet the players talk to the players
20:23 talk to the coaches
20:26 get the vibe
20:28 and as stated this will be the only time
20:29 that'll happen because once their spring
20:32 training stadium is fixed in Port
20:33 Charlotte they probably won't be back at
20:36 so you gotta you gotta utilize it while
20:37 you can
20:39 the blog
20:41 it's over oh yeah I forgot to mention
20:43 even after the Rays MLB go back to Saint
20:46 Pete Tropicana Field for their spring
20:48 training after their spring training
20:49 duration at Disney
20:51 the minor league teams are taking over
20:53 and will be there through the entire
20:55 duration of their spring training
20:58 Montgomery Biscuits for example Durham
21:00 Bulls it says the Durham Bulls have a
21:03 lot of raised players they call up and
21:04 down throughout the course of the year
21:05 although a lot of players on that team
21:07 as well so even after the rays are gone
21:10 or the second half of spring training
21:13 I'll be able to go see the the affiliate
21:16 Farm teams what a2a and 3A it's kind of
21:20 confusing now how many Farm teams are
21:22 but yeah they'll be there
21:24 through all of March
