0:44 because the very Hometown where he was

0:46 born and reared and raised is right down

0:49 in that Valley morgant Town West

0:53 Virginia and if those stories are true

0:55 he had a heck of a lot of gumption to be

0:58 rooting around in that terrain I wonder

1:15 woods for a few miles it's not so bad if

3:21 definitely has been up there on the side

3:34 chosen this location directly in front

3:38 to unveil a statue of dawn right over

3:45 heard this place has been around for a

3:46 very long time and he actually performed

3:49 here more than a handful of times the

3:56 Entertainer the man himself he's the

3:59 only one along the sidewalks not like

4:02 Hollywood Boulevard where there are

4:04 countless amounts of stars it's just him

4:08 their favorite sun and that is located

4:11 in front of the statue itself which was

4:15 unveiled very very recently and the

4:18 artist that created this did not want to

4:21 portray him as a character the more of

4:24 him as a person now there is the Barney

4:29 five hat and a

4:33 script I'm not sure what movie that

4:36 would have been the script for maybe Mr

4:40 Limpet perhaps a few weeks ago I visited

4:43 the hometown of Andy Griffith in Mount

4:45 Ary North Carolina there is a statue of

4:48 Andy and Opie making their way to the

4:51 fishing hole originally there was going

4:53 to be a Bary statue but the estate of

4:56 Don knots did not allow it and that

4:58 statue was removed completely erased

5:02 from existence and it's only until in

5:05 recent days that this one was placed in

5:09 his hometown not Mount Ary not honored

5:13 in the hometown of Andy Griffith but

5:16 highly praised here in morgant town

5:20 where he belongs I love this guy so very

5:24 much most people remember him from the

5:26 years he spent in Mayberry and all the

5:29 awards won on that show but one of my

5:32 favorite sitcoms of all time was Three's

5:35 Company later in life he played Mr

5:38 Furley and he did it very well thanks

5:42 for the laughs man thanks for the laughs

5:56 very unique window angles used to sell

5:59 Baldwin posan and across the street look

6:17 of the building that leads into the

6:18 theater itself but also the shops

6:21 directly next to it are connected to the

6:24 building as well I especially like the

6:26 coming soon displays that are still here

6:29 the glass have been removed but they're

6:33 still here the town's History Museum I'm

6:35 thinking has some artifacts and some

6:39 momentos of the past and Relics of the

6:42 person that this Vlog is concerning

6:46 however they are closed today not that

6:49 it would matter because even if I got

6:51 inside I would not be able to take

6:54 photos or film or

6:56 document anything so the fact fact that

7:02 locked really doesn't make much of a

7:05 difference when it comes to this Vlog I

7:08 like that old VW Volkswagen bus they

10:37 even though he grew up here and was born

10:48 headstone and his grave a couple years

10:51 ago as well it's interesting that he's

10:53 buried in California and not his

10:55 hometown
