0:02 welcome everyone
0:02 out of the woo here has a recording of
0:04 This TGIF it is Friday June the 30th
0:08 2023 I am an Apache Junction about 30 40
0:13 miles outside Phoenix Arizona in the 100
0:16 plus degree
0:18 uncloudy temperatures not a cloud in the
0:21 sky
0:22 I am going to be heading over to
0:23 Goldfield Ghost Town which I have heard
0:27 good things about
0:28 it's just about five miles up the road
0:30 stopping off here gonna get some Waters
0:33 and other sort of things
0:36 possibly a piping hot Cafe beverage yes
0:39 even though it is Post 100 degree
0:40 temperatures I still like a warm coffee
0:43 in the mornings
0:45 but check this out this mural
0:48 right here of a
0:50 bull rider and some cowboys you got a
0:53 spaceship over there and this very
0:56 interesting little town
0:58 next to the Hitching Post Saloon
1:02 an Old West Village got the Cantina got
1:04 the barbershop got a classic car alert
1:07 right over here this little storage
1:09 facility
1:11 Feed and Seed Cafe
1:14 mining Supply
1:22 you as always to join me also wearing an
1:25 appropriate t-shirt
1:27 Mouse Berry Farm sad Eye Joe was with me
1:29 on the back of the tea
1:32 they have a ghost town at Knotts so I
1:34 figured I'd wear one here in Arizona
1:37 join me shall you there's the post
1:39 office you can get a hot bath for 10
1:42 cents
1:43 clean water is extra according to the
1:45 sign
2:04 on this site nothing happened look at
2:04 this view look at that
2:08 what an angle
2:17 The Hitching Post Village right here
2:18 the mountains looks like something out
2:19 of a movie
2:20 if we can't bail you out
2:22 will put you down bail bond and
2:27 Undertaker in one place
2:30 I say office
2:36 the beautiful area
2:36 but it is hot
2:39 100 degrees gonna get up to 104. I don't
2:43 know how all those old Prospectors
2:48 could handle it back in the day but I
2:50 guess if that's what you're used to you
2:51 get acclimated to it all right turns out
2:53 the Hitching Post Pizza and Pub is not
2:57 in fact
2:58 a grocery store or a
3:01 convenience store of any sort walked
3:04 inside and pretty good theming though
3:05 but just basically a bar a really
3:07 well-themed Western Bar
3:10 as you kind of peruse in there there's a
3:12 lot of really cool items and there were
3:14 a few people in there wetting their
3:15 whistle the Old West Highway
3:19 where history still lives where to sign
3:21 it it's on the front of the building
3:23 as well
3:25 the old west
3:43 I have made it
3:43 gold feel ghost town and mine tour
3:48 the states right here on the side of
3:51 this
3:52 says air mail
3:54 that funnel there
4:02 I've also been to a lot of these types
4:02 of towns that were not converted
4:04 into theme park style attractions
4:08 this one has been and is kept up
4:10 repurposed and utilized
4:13 still kicking established 1893 the old
4:17 water tank oh I hear a train
4:21 there's a train over there
4:35 like it already go ahead and take a look
4:35 at the pamphlet I got at my hotel
4:37 staying in Phoenix it was about probably
4:39 45 minute commute
4:45 Valley's only authentic ghost house
4:45 Scenic Railroad fine tours Journey back
4:47 to authentic 1980s old west
4:50 family fun all the different features
4:53 all the different stores
4:55 they're open every day
4:57 ten to five this is an authentic 1890
5:00 site hazardous conditions as you would
5:02 have
5:03 uneven walking surfaces Rocks Hill steep
5:06 drop-offs old wooden sidewalks porches
5:09 steps Steeps railings Timber splinters
5:13 and this place was obviously around way
5:16 before the ever expected vehicles to be
5:18 pulling in
5:20 and new cars parking
5:23 in the lot over here this is designated
5:25 Peterson's Mercantile the old shop the
5:28 merchandise shop Treasures old and new
5:31 Candy Shop and homemade
5:33 fudge oh it goes way up the side of the
5:36 Hill
5:42 the Apothecary you got some
5:42 Grill over there they got some ice cream
5:44 over there
5:45 yeah up on the side of the Hill here the
5:48 water tower yeah this is way better than
5:50 I expected it to be I kind of stayed
5:52 sport the free I saw the flyer didn't
5:54 look too much stuff up
5:56 but this is really awesome
6:00 pretty great they got the hat shop over
6:02 here
6:03 you got the little cart down here
6:05 as well this is maybe the
6:08 Stagecoach line
6:11 again I believe in the winter time or
6:14 when it's not in the heat of Summer they
6:16 do like a show out here
6:18 like an old Showdown
6:20 like a high noon type thing definitely
6:23 getting some Hill Valley 1885 Vibes here
6:26 I'm gonna be surprised if Buford Mad Dog
6:28 Tannen walks up
6:30 what's it coming up
6:45 when I am alerted that a train ride is
6:45 about to happen I will come I'll call in
6:48 very very quickly take a look at this
6:50 this is dedicated to the unknown
6:52 prospector and this is not a joke snake
6:55 alert don't touch this snake you see the
6:57 snake tell us
6:59 or just hightail it get the heck out of
7:02 Dodge all right over in the gift shop
7:04 for 12 you can do each of three
7:07 different things there's the Mystery
7:08 Shack the mine tour and
7:13 the Train the Mystery Shack and the mine
7:17 tour those are the three but for thirty
7:20 dollars so you save a couple of dollars
7:21 each thirty dollars you get all three so
7:24 this is for the tray this is for the
7:25 Mystery Shack this is for the mine tour
7:27 and here's a general layout of the land
7:29 right here of all the different things
7:31 so it looks like there are three it's
7:33 free admission to get in but there are
7:35 three different
7:36 items that you can do that you must pay
7:38 for or you can get you know all three of
7:41 them for thirty dollars
7:46 it's an old mind
7:46 miniature version here it's a Union
7:49 Pacific the Lehigh Valley
7:54 to the celebrates 100th anniversary of a
7:56 rescue as a man that was trapped in the
7:59 mine for two weeks
8:06 here's a photo of the Town back in 1897
8:06 right here on the fourth of July
8:10 James Stevens
8:13 to Alaska right there Jane Stevens
8:21 and then 10 days after
8:21 he got out of the mine
8:24 there he is right there you're gonna rob
8:26 a train you need one of these of course
8:27 after the events of 2020 these have a
8:30 different connotation
8:32 you know because people are using those
8:34 for different different purposes
8:36 thank you
9:11 you sit on this like middle section kind
9:11 of like the middle section of jungle
9:12 cruise we don't have the backing or
9:14 anything so you just kind of sit in the
9:16 Middle with everyone else
9:17 this is pretty awesome
9:39 backs and tray tables are in there fully
9:39 upright and locked positions
9:42 the event of a water landing the bench
9:45 you're fitted on can be used as a
9:47 flotation device
10:02 tour guide Chief cook Ed and bottle
10:02 washer feel free to stand up and turn
10:04 around at any time during the trip it's
10:07 about 5 000 feet above sea level up on
10:10 the top there and geologists tell us
10:13 that it was formed 30 million years ago
10:15 at the edge of a volcanic caldera 250
10:19 square miles of federally protected
10:22 Wilderness Area
10:24 and now a little bit about these big
10:26 tall Cactus with all the arms that you
10:29 see all around the town There's a few of
10:31 them coming up on the right side there
10:32 they only grow here in the Sonoran
10:35 Desert they can live to be 250 years old
10:39 and they don't grow their first daughter
10:41 and kill their 50 to 80 years old
10:48 up on the left side these weird looking
10:48 Cactus with all the green fruit hanging
10:50 off them are called chain fruit choya
10:52 and if you if you look closely you'll
10:54 see bird nests up among the thorns on
10:57 those things I'll never understand how
10:59 they can build those maps without
11:01 stabbing themselves to death
11:04 this is an old steel head frame from the
11:07 early 1900s
11:09 they would pull the aura out of the mine
11:11 shaft in that bucket and then dump the
11:14 bucket down that Chute to fill up your
11:16 car
11:22 Alex cannot express how much I lost
11:22 don't go off to the right side out by
11:25 that old dump truck
11:32 or a big underground mine and it was by
11:32 far the largest and most productive of
11:35 all the mines out here it was also the
11:37 deepest the main shaft in the mammoth
11:40 went down
11:42 thousand
11:43 feet below the third lane and come out
11:45 here with their Pig's head shovels and
11:48 scrape the stretch at the surface never
11:50 more than 10 feet down and they would
11:53 gather one or they could get and then
11:55 they would have to move on and try to
11:57 find another claim and that's what
11:58 really started the gold boom out here at
12:00 Goldfield was the underground mining
12:02 because it was a lot more efficient and
12:05 more profitable than the surface mine
12:07 was and with the Superstition Mountains
12:11 in the background
12:16 prospecting actually started out here in
12:16 the 1880s but very few people were brave
12:20 enough to come out here and try their
12:21 hand at it
12:23 Apache raids were still happening back
12:25 then and this was not a safe place to be
12:35 but by 1891
12:35 the raids has pretty much stopped and
12:38 word had gotten back to town about or
12:40 back to civilization about the gold
12:42 strikes out here
12:43 and people just started flooding into
12:45 the town they had the Mercantile store
12:48 and a livery shop our delivery stable
12:50 and blacksmith shop and a butcher shop
12:53 and a bakery and a barber shop and even
12:56 a one-room schoolhouse for the kids
13:03 regulation at that point was up around
13:03 1500 people and a boat about 500 or so
13:07 were the miners and their families but
13:10 the miners in their families didn't
13:11 actually live in the town they live all
13:14 around the town out here in the
13:16 surrounding desert in canvas walled
13:18 tents
13:19 it was a tough way to make a living but
13:21 it was good money if you're stuck at it
13:23 and worked hard and eventually they had
13:25 to decide that there was nothing more
13:27 they could do for the mine
13:30 and the only option they had left was
13:32 just to shut it down and walk away from
13:34 it all three of those remaining
13:36 underground mines ran into that same
13:39 underground aquifer and one by one they
13:42 all flooded and also had to shut down
13:46 sudden things were looking really bad
13:47 for the town because all the underground
13:49 miners left and the surface miners had
13:52 scraped up about all the surface that
13:54 they had legal claims for so they
13:57 started taking off so they all started
13:59 closing up their shops and packing up
14:01 and moving out
14:02 and before you know it there was almost
14:04 nobody left out here and one day the
14:07 folks at the post office must have
14:08 looked out the front door and said hey
14:10 there's nobody left out here only five
14:13 years after it had opened at the top of
14:15 the boom go field post office shut down
14:18 and Gulf field officially became a ghost
14:20 town and we're just about back to the
14:22 station now so I'd like to thank you all
14:24 for riding along with us today that was
14:27 just the kind of attraction that I loved
14:31 perfect
14:33 it's a classic train ride around a ghost
14:36 town so my first impressions I should
14:39 say you don't really need to go
14:42 overboard with stuff to make it
14:44 entertaining and that's just kind of
14:46 what I think a lot of times you go to
14:47 like theme parks and stuff and I think
14:49 they try a little too hard
14:51 for you know just in my opinion and
14:53 again I'm just you know I know what I
14:55 like but sometimes just something just
14:58 standard like this and pretty basic just
15:00 does the trick this is just so good I'm
15:02 gonna do the mine tour next
15:04 well what if it's a blacksmith
15:07 awesome oh look at this
15:10 no I think I am gonna go down with a God
15:11 I have traded in one of the paper
15:13 tickets
15:15 for what he referred to as the guide is
15:17 going to take us down at 12.50 so
15:19 instead of five minutes as a stick
15:21 ticket so he's like you gotta have the
15:23 stick ticket
15:25 so I got a stick ticket
15:26 and I'm ready to rock down in the
15:30 down in the mine
15:43 I think part of the reason I love Big
15:44 Thunder Mountain Railroad a Disneyland
15:46 and a Magic Kingdom is because it's
15:49 themed around this era
15:51 and I love Knott's Berry Farm
15:53 ghost town at Knotts
15:56 Walter Knott went out to the desert and
15:58 took a bunch of old buildings
16:02 they were basically just going to kind
16:03 of rot away and created a theme park out
16:06 of them genius some of the old tools of
16:08 the trade
16:10 definitely see you would need a big
16:12 brimmed hat out here
16:30 it's the old Outhouse here I think
16:30 there's someone in the outhouse
16:38 oh wow wow
16:38 what's going
16:40 what's going on in there
17:11 what's inside
17:11 all right one minute
17:23 we're going to go down take us a little
17:23 while but hold on
17:47 all right guys that's it excuse me I'll
17:51 get past you so we can get out of this
18:00 all right
18:00 looks like we're here so first off once
18:03 you get off your elevator
18:04 you be met with this uh complete
18:06 darkness not we have electricity back
18:09 here but this is all new to us right now
18:11 plus the air conditioning is kind of
18:12 nice down here but once you get off the
18:14 elevator you can start by uh getting
18:16 your tools and your equipment your
18:18 helmets things like that sledgehammers
18:19 everything you might need to start your
18:21 day down out of mine you gather all that
18:24 and uh you start out with your main
18:27 tools right here we got our drill bits
18:29 our star bit the miners called it they
18:31 would use this to do most of their
18:33 drilling these things are much more
18:34 important to them but still very
18:36 dangerous uh these things had uh the
18:39 nickname of the Widowmaker they had that
18:41 because they had the tendency to uh
18:44 decapitate minors back in the day
18:46 because they're very unwieldy and had a
18:49 chance to blow back if you hit something
18:50 hard into the Rock
19:00 all right guys so as I was talking about
19:00 those drill bits right there they'd be
19:02 using uh those to drill holes into the
19:04 wall and these are the holes here that
19:06 you would be drilling this is called the
19:08 21 stretch 21 holes to be filled with
19:11 the dynamite one to five sticks of
19:14 dynamite per hole seven feet uh deep
19:17 practically around that so one to five
19:20 sticks Dynamite per hole they make a
19:22 horseshoe shape kind of like this very
19:24 specifically because it was uh designed
19:27 to implode on itself they had this one
19:29 left unfilled in the middle called the
19:31 relief hole this would cause the uh
19:33 Dynamite to implode in a certain way
19:35 that would cause the ore to come rushing
19:37 out into sort of tidal wave and softly
19:40 uh pushed itself right into the middle
19:43 of the Mind here so that you can get to
19:44 it easier you'd be mucking it into the
19:46 ore cards like that that's uh would hold
19:48 about a ton of oil right there
19:50 it's that Minecart they use since they
19:52 filled it up roll it on up the elevator
19:55 we came down in put it on up to the top
19:57 Honey Wagon have a special name because
20:00 the man Wheeling it around was known as
20:02 the honey dipper oh wow this little
20:05 Ladle here
20:20 yeah this is known as the honeybaker
20:20 yeah they reel this that around the uh
20:22 mine offering its services to anyone who
20:25 may need it it's a very important job
20:27 because uh this is all you have and in
20:29 complete darkness handles um
20:37 yeah because there was no electricity
20:37 down here of course just and a lot like
20:40 this so this is all you'd see
20:43 if this is all you've had the only
20:45 source of light you had down here to
20:47 mine you have to set it up in a very
20:49 strategies you can save the place there
20:51 because you of course didn't want it to
20:53 go out you want to be very safe probably
20:55 working on the opposite side of the mine
20:57 while over there pickaxe and drilling
20:59 things like that everyone
21:15 man
22:03 and this is where most of the mining and
22:03 things like that would be taking place
22:04 this would usually be much bigger than
22:06 this because this is one of the gold and
22:09 the mining will be taking place most of
22:10 it but uh also be filled with fun so it
22:13 had to be very safe but they had no tail
22:15 our nails or screws for a specific
22:17 reason because with all this mind
22:20 detonation and blowing up a dynamite
22:22 things like that and plus you're
22:24 underground that are removing you don't
22:27 want these things to be snapping or
22:29 breaking at all so this is why they had
22:31 no nails or screws because you wanted
22:46 so the guide was explaining this is what
22:46 they used to siphon all that water out
22:47 from the flooding
22:49 back in the day
23:10 oh good thing they had AC down there
23:10 I can already feel the heat starting to
23:12 emulate through this tunnel now back up
23:15 top
23:16 Mystery Shack
23:18 this is probably one of those type of
23:20 houses that kind of threw your
23:22 equilibrium off I'm your host for today
23:24 welcome to Goldfield Arizona and welcome
23:27 to the Mr Chef it's where the hills are
23:30 Steve the Thrills are cheap and the
23:31 abnormal is absolutely normal before you
23:33 safety all you got to do around these
23:34 parts is wash your feet and watch your
23:36 hands hold on to handrails and lean on
23:38 dancers you may do that otherwise you
23:41 could do a little silly trip stumble
23:42 ball and which you will say hello that's
23:44 ceiling the floor or the wall you want
23:46 to follow up here it's the center way
23:48 you may do so be sure you hold on to the
23:51 rope and not the metal because it's
23:53 Arizona
23:54 yeah you know what's helps cool me down
23:59 taking a nice little drink of water
24:01 right here I'm joking I'm an alcoholic
24:03 that's all I drink it is whiskey and
24:06 wine things like that yeah well I did
24:08 read in the book one time you could take
24:10 this stuff right here and
24:12 make it into the wine
24:14 frankly I'd like to talk to the guy that
24:16 did it because
24:17 I think I'm on to something but not
24:19 quite oh
24:21 good sorry not sorry I broke the laws of
24:23 reality here
24:26 but hey that's completely fine if you
24:28 feel a little weird inside Shack because
24:31 the water in your body makes you feel
24:33 like that and on this hot summer day you
24:35 should be drinking plenty of water
24:37 because you don't want to get well
24:39 passed out in the chef because that
24:41 means I may have to throw you down a
24:43 mine challenge so much
24:54 you see I'm a little bit more Hands-On
24:54 with the game and um
25:01 so I feel like I'm slanted I'm not
25:04 sitting straight really
25:05 in a place like this I don't see it
25:14 no I can't tell you you didn't want to
25:14 get out of that chair there's two ways
25:16 to do it you can get out lazily up
25:18 properly YouTube
25:24 properly you're going to put your feet
25:24 in front of you the hands on the left
25:27 get up like properly like that I don't
25:31 think I can I'll give it a try I am not
25:33 that strong okay
25:34 come on come on
25:38 all right mommy lady take them one of
25:41 the legs of yours swing them right over
25:43 here and then you can get up on the
25:45 chair no problem at all wow
26:06 you get a nice little view up there and
26:06 then if you want I can take a camera and
26:07 show you what you look like up there all
26:09 right so I'm just going this way yeah
26:10 all the way wow
26:13 okay and it's all straight you walk your
26:16 head a little bit the minor was four
26:17 foot thirteen a bit of a different
26:18 height than most folks these days okay
26:20 hey well how do you feel up there
26:24 I feel tall
26:26 well now it will take the new heights
26:28 you wanna see how you look around over
26:29 here yeah let's see
26:31 there you go what did you look at that I
26:35 think you look all smart and snazzy up
26:37 there
26:37 smart enough to be able to deal with
26:40 this ride over here
26:46 would you look at that folks balls
26:46 rolling no problem at all
26:52 there you go
26:54 you know what ain't unbearable
26:57 walking across this bridge right here
26:59 this is mine Chef number two classify
27:01 the bottomless kid the name fits mine's
27:04 been digging it since 1893 the year the
27:06 town was founded 130 years digging
27:08 straight down means it's a long way to
27:09 fall down so far you safety we put a
27:11 bridge right here and multiple layers of
27:13 glass
27:14 now these glasses are only the regular
27:17 kind not the safety kind so please don't
27:19 step on them you crack it you break it
27:21 you either fall down for quite a bit or
27:24 where it said you make a down payment
27:25 for a new piece of glass quadruple that
27:27 rate
27:28 yeah all the guides here have been
27:30 awesome
27:38 usually I'm not big on guided tours but
27:38 all three of the guides have been great
27:39 the guy off the train the guy in the
27:41 mine mine shaft
27:44 and the guy in the Mystery Shack
28:06 now back over down the main drag if you
28:06 will this says bad water Springs don't
28:09 drink
28:10 do not drink from bad water
28:13 Springs ooh even with a old-fashioned
28:16 Dinner Bell
28:17 right up there and it is open coffee
28:21 and bakery and this kind of sums up what
28:23 Arizona and this greater Phoenix area
28:25 feels like right now an oven
28:27 I mean it literally feels like an up and
28:29 up it might be a caffeinated beverage in
28:32 acquired I also bought another bottle of
28:34 water
28:36 out of my back pocket
28:38 coffee and water
28:40 and western town
28:48 that's 1911
28:48 okay they did pull out 12 000 pounds of
28:52 gold in the first five years in 1890s
28:58 and they ended up uh hitting the
29:00 groundwater the the large socket for in
29:03 this area right paint scar that looks
29:06 like a scratch on that okay and that's
29:09 from South Dakota this is a Megalodon
29:11 tooth in Florida it's a picture of the
29:14 mag down below it oh yeah the white
29:16 great white below it and then there's
29:18 the spinosaurus tooth from Morocco next
29:20 to some saber-tooth bones and put things
29:22 in there so feel free to take pictures
29:26 create your right internal on the right
29:34 very cool marine fossils too and some
29:34 minerals as well so enjoy okay thank you
29:45 so this little museum is eight dollars
29:45 so everything has a separate feed also
29:48 Cliff Dwellings over here that were in
29:50 the
29:51 superstitious mountains
30:09 it's the old Telegraph station
30:09 oh look at this American Morse code
30:24 those Cool cigarettes old gold
30:24 cigarettes Treasure of them all
30:39 looks to be that they have
30:39 an 1886 Brunswick bar over there too 100
30:43 year old shirt spotted with wax from his
30:46 only light
30:47 candle
31:01 a lot of times you'll look at this kind
31:01 of stuff and you just think oh this is
31:03 just like stuff
31:05 but this is how people lived how people
31:07 worked and what they had this was like
31:09 modern technology for the time
32:01 he lost his head down there
32:01 look at that gold bar gold vehicle feel
32:03 gold bar
32:10 76 pounds
32:10 representing a two-day production at the
32:13 mammoth mine at its peak it's that
32:15 information has that written there
32:27 there's a lot to see in this town
32:27 and if you start trouble around these
32:29 parts they're going to lock you up and
32:31 throw away the key well they probably
32:32 won't throw the key away but they might
32:33 put you in here in the jail
33:44 Dutchman shares the secrets for a dollar
33:44 location of my mind hello there
33:48 he's the sheriff of Goldfield
34:12 where were we yeah
34:12 yeah remember get back to the mouth
34:14 about the canyon and then back again
34:18 my rock ETS there after you get there
34:21 come back out of the canyon to find my
34:24 mind I've covered my mind with Jim I
34:27 went in there yeah I mean I'd like to
34:28 welcome you to Goldfield Ghost Town here
34:31 in Arizona right at the foot of the
34:32 Superstition Mountains highly Rec
34:36 here right now
34:39 actual whistle of the Hoist that the men
34:41 used to hear the exact same one they
34:42 used to hear 130 years ago to go down
34:45 over a thousand feet into the ground try
34:47 to pull gold out of this place at twenty
34:48 dollars an ounce they risk their lives
34:50 for this but in the 1890s maybe 20 an
34:53 ounce was worth risk in your life a lot
34:55 of people to this day still risk their
34:57 lives out here out here in the middle of
34:58 the Arizona desert where right now it's
34:59 about 108 degrees gonna get hotter is it
35:01 108 yeah and one of those Superstition
35:04 Mountains just behind the scrape thing
35:06 two-story building over here
35:07 which is supposed to be a Cursed
35:10 Mountain the old Apache cursed when they
35:13 warn people not to dig here they did it
35:15 anyway and since then there's been all
35:16 kinds of treachery and spooky
35:18 Shenanigans going on in this desert as
35:21 well in this town so you got to be a
35:22 little extra careful when you're walking
35:24 out here but tons of History out here
35:26 where we're standing it was very cool
35:27 that
35:29 that this place has a lot to say a lot
35:31 to see a lot for you to do tours in the
35:33 mine tours in the uh the buildings over
35:36 here I think I've done I think I've done
35:38 all of them except for the bordello tour
35:40 I was looking forward to that yeah
35:42 unfortunately that one's closed today I
35:44 happen to have the key to it but that's
35:45 a that's a different tour
35:47 but yeah you do a nighttime tour as well
35:50 right night time tour which even gets to
35:52 go in that Bortel that's actually where
35:53 I got my key but at night I actually
35:55 host the official Goldfield Ghost Tour
35:58 all right getting Meyer learn more about
35:59 those curses in those mountains and uh
36:02 some of the uh actual spooky shenanigans
36:04 that go around this place at night it's
36:06 a very different place out here
36:09 is that a squirrel it is it's a ground
36:12 squirrel in the uh are kind of numerous
36:14 out here and they've learned that
36:16 they're adorable enough to get fed so
36:18 they stick around a ground squirrel
36:21 look at that little a little chipmunk
36:28 a little chipmunk
36:28 it's a squirrel ground squirrel but I'm
36:29 gonna call it chipmunk because it looks
36:30 like a chipmunk it's essentially the
36:32 same thing it's basically the Arizona
36:33 desert version of the shop
36:36 just strike it out of the bordella
36:40 what if you if you plan it ahead or you
36:43 go on the family friendly Bordello for
36:46 the most part I mean depends on your
36:48 guide but yeah yeah supposed to be
36:50 friend you know you tip them well they
36:51 might uh it goes off the rails yeah
36:54 behind the curtain
36:58 you don't want if you tip go to the
37:00 bordello yeah get all it could go a
37:02 different way
37:03 and there's even a tattoo shop here in
37:05 the town around the back tattoos and
37:07 Pearson dipped in ink
37:09 tattoo shop and there's also a live
37:11 reptile exhibit Arizona's largest live
37:14 display oh look down there for a second
37:16 snake my peripheral vision I like
37:19 escaping which actually the door says
37:21 closed unfortunately
37:27 I'm not gonna complain too much about
37:27 not saying cobras or rattlesnakes or
37:29 vipers so it's fine I like how under
37:31 five is free
37:33 so any of the any of the youngins could
37:35 really get it's because they're edible
37:37 and then uh half the time you have to
37:39 pay the money still you walk far enough
37:41 out there you're bound to see these
37:42 things all on your own especially those
37:44 rattlesnakes
37:46 no thanks I don't like snakes and one
37:49 day I have to come back under the shroud
37:51 of Nightfall for fear Frontier presents
37:53 the gold fear gold field I almost said
37:56 gold fear the gold field ghost tour both
38:00 are appropriate go both full of fear
38:04 two things out here golden fear golden
38:06 fear guaranteed out of here
38:57 and that's gonna do it for today from
38:57 goldfields Arizona established
39:01 1893 at oh Wes mining town next to the
39:06 Superstition Mountains
39:10 so much history very very cool highly
39:13 recommend checking this place out I'll
39:15 see you in the next video
39:17 the Vlog
39:18 is
39:20 over
