0:20 love and refer to in my heart as Disney

0:24 MGM Studios it's about 7:30 a.m. well

0:28 7:37 a.m. right now I think rope drop is

0:31 at 8:30 perhaps now to say I have a huge

0:34 soft spot for this place is an

0:37 understatement I fell in love with

0:39 Hollywood and first got my first

0:42 taste of Hollywood because of this park

0:46 I had never been to a back lot tour

0:48 before I didn't know how things were

0:50 filmed none of that all this place

0:52 introduced me to all that the early '90s

0:55 very early '90s welcome everyone Adam

0:58 the woo here wearing an appropriate

1:01 t-shirt I also just needed to get very

1:03 caffeinated today did not get a whole

1:05 heck of a lot of sleep had a issue

1:06 yesterday I'm getting in really late a

1:08 lot later than I thought I was going to

1:10 get in in fact there was a possibility

1:12 that I wouldn't even make it back into

1:14 town for this but thankfully I did and

1:16 I'm here to honor pay my respects

1:19 remember the good times of the original

1:21 Park MGM Studios and it's still a heck

1:25 of a good place but not what it used to

1:27 be in fact there are no opening day

1:29 attractions left first time I ever did a

1:32 Hollywood Backlot tour right here first

1:34 time I well not Hollywood but first time

1:36 I ever did a tour of a movie set I

1:38 didn't know what a facade was you know

1:40 back in 1991 when my family moved here

1:42 the park was 2 years old was not here

1:44 when they opened up on opening day but I

1:46 was here shortly after in the Heyday if

1:49 you will had a lot of good times share

1:51 some memories going to check out some

1:53 merchandise they are supposedly doing a

1:56 show a do a ceremony in the Beauty and

1:58 the Beast theater at 11: a.m. going to

2:01 get here got here early for that so I

2:03 could get in line make sure I got a seat

2:05 I know it's going to fill up pretty

2:06 quick join me it's going to be a fun day

2:08 shall you got the sun rising over there

2:10 I would say I was probably in the first

2:12 50 to 75 maybe 100 cars here I believe

2:16 there is hotel early entry but regular

2:19 rope drop is at 8:30 that's the opening

2:21 of the park I also got a virtual queue

2:25 for a little later for the merchandise

2:27 because people get a little wacky over

2:29 merchandise and I am one of those I am

2:31 going to be buying some 35th merch as I

2:35 approach this kind of front empty

2:37 parking lot here heading towards the

2:38 Hollywood

2:40 Tower Crossroads of the world and I'm

2:43 going to head right down the middle of

2:45 Boulevard right into the park and looks

2:48 like there's a little bit of a crowd

2:49 already formulating that's the early

2:51 entry I do not have early entry I am

2:53 part of the 830 rope drop opening crew

2:56 all right it looks like the door what

2:57 doors but it looks like the Rope has dro

2:59 dropped or at least maybe not rope Dro

3:01 but at least the gates have opened to go

3:03 up for rope drop so people are moving

3:04 forward I'm going to start moving I

3:06 think I'm going to start moving forward

3:07 as well all right I was mistaken that

3:09 was early entry this is the regular line

3:12 that's going to open up at 8:30 so early

3:14 entry was at 8 and then this Line's

3:16 going to open up at 8:30 one little line

3:18 here all right 9:00 was road I was

3:21 thinking it was 8:30 early entry was 8

3:24 aut it was 8:30 but it's now 900 a.m.

3:26 ROP drop at 9 a.m. everyone's flooding

3:37 anniversary of Disney MGM now Disney's

3:43 Studios is happening I'm going to get a

3:45 guide that all right our game plan is to

3:48 head down Sunset all right so the first

3:50 thing we were ended up doing is going

3:52 over waited about an hour and we ended

3:54 up heading over to the theater of the

3:55 Stars the Beauty and the Beast theater I

3:57 like to refer to it as where they end up

3:59 to have they're going to have the

4:01 11:00 ceremony prob going to have like a

4:04 little moment we're going to share a

4:05 moment I don't really know what it is I

4:07 kind of kept the spoiler 3 but yeah

4:08 we're heading over into the theater of

4:10 the Stars you're invited to join a

4:12 special moment recognizing 35 years of

4:14 Disney's Hollywood studio celebrating

4:16 magic and Adventure Starts at 11:00 and

4:18 this entire theater is completely full

4:20 there's not an empty seat in the whole

4:22 thing so it's definitely a packed house

4:24 and the inside of the guide map is a

4:25 pullout poster right here as well like

4:27 the Hollywood Tower up here you have

4:28 Mickey of course you have Star Wars and

4:30 Buzz Light here in just 10 minutes we

4:34 invite you to join us as we celebrate 35

4:37 years of magic here at Disney's

5:26 with all of you as we celebrate 35 years

5:29 of magic at this wonderful

5:37 place here we are at the theater of the

5:37 Stars which is only appropriate since

5:39 what is in

5:46 Miss let's maybe stick to the script you

5:49 know script yeah see kit each and every

5:53 Disney park has an iconic symbol Magic

5:57 Kingdom has Cinderella castle that's

5:59 right Epcot has spaceship earth and

6:02 Animal Kingdom has the tree of life and

6:04 of course Disney's Hollywood Studios has

6:07 the Hollywood Tower

6:15 Hotel what kind of Icon is

6:15 that the Fountain of in all

6:26 my all right you know a fountain is

6:26 lovely but I'm I'm pretty sure it's a

6:28 tower Mig uh the to is just a big

6:30 building that fountain that Fountain is

6:33 a replica of a star I think it's clear

6:37 which one is the icon who's excited for

6:40 the 35th anniversary of Disney's

6:52 studio I certainly know I am since

6:52 1989 this park has been home to a rich

6:55 history of Storytelling through a means

6:58 we all hold dear to our Hearts movies we

7:02 opened by bringing our guest into the

7:04 world of movie making and television

7:07 production Mulan Brother Bear and Lilo

7:10 and Stitch were all filmed here and many

7:14 TV viewers got their first look at

7:16 Rising Stars such as Ryan Gosling and

7:19 Justin Timberlake in the allnew Mickey

7:21 Mouse Club filmed right here people have

7:24 been here at Disney's Hollywood Studios

7:26 since the very beginning they've turned

7:29 frowns up upside down with a Mickey bar

7:32 they've stitched your name into your

7:34 very first PA pair of Mouse ears they've

7:37 sketched your favorite friends in water

7:39 on the sidewalk and their dedication to

7:42 this place and their dedication to all

7:45 of you is really what the heart of

7:48 Disney's Hollywood Studios is all about

7:50 and I am so so very proud to introduce

7:54 them to you today with these 32 cast

7:57 members please stand so we can give you

7:59 the Applause you so greatly

8:30 deserve and so many more

8:30 have put their heart and soul into

8:32 Disney's Hollywood Studios and they are

8:35 such a huge part of what makes this park

8:38 a premier destination for people

8:54 characters came out and they were with

8:56 the cast members again those are the

8:57 cast members that have been here for 35

8:58 straight years and they ended up with a

9:08 of the Chinese Theater but also in front

12:58 they finally got rid of Electric Mayhem

17:35 day so I guess there were some guests
