0:33 might remember the show Northern

0:36 Exposure it was filmed right here in

0:38 Rosland Washington where I am this was

0:42 the main road seen in the opening credit

0:45 sequence also used as Interiors a

0:48 Interiors it's very cold out here should

0:51 probably have a jacket on my mouth does

0:53 not cooperating to say ours correctly

0:58 exteriors right here here Rosland

1:01 Washington I'm going to show you some of

1:03 the sights sounds and Majestic Beauty of

1:07 Alaska but it's not Alaska it's

1:09 Washington that's movie and television

1:12 magic and that's how they work they

1:13 don't always film where they say they

1:16 are in the show television

1:19 magic if you remember correctly if

1:22 you're a fan of the TV show the opening

1:24 credit sequence showed this main drag

1:27 and there was a moose walking around so

1:30 pretend I'm a moose and you're a moose

1:34 vicariously through that moose who is in

1:37 the opening credit sequence and the

1:39 music remember the opening music of the

1:41 Moose walking along well it happened all

1:43 right around in here there's also a few

1:45 remnants of the television show left and

1:47 I'm going to show you some of the

1:48 remnants however this is not a Remnant

1:55 that is not from the TV show nor do I

1:57 have any Earthly clue why it is there

2:01 television show still here preserved

2:26 of scenes were filmed in here and it's

2:27 preserved to look exactly like it did it

3:31 it's very snowy here in the TV show

3:33 there's a lot of snow like I said they

3:35 were trying to pretend that this was

3:36 Alaska and Alaska has a lot of snow but

3:40 this has a lot of snow too I'm sure in

3:41 the winter time this is just baked not

3:43 baked but the opposite of baked caked

3:45 and baked with plethora versions of

3:50 snow over here is the Brick Tavern Let's

3:52 cross the street I'm going to show you

3:54 the Brick Tavern which was actually used

3:56 in the show as well inside scenes and

3:59 outside scenes I believe there was

4:01 actually a scene right here by this fire

4:03 hydrant there's a fire hydrant right

4:26 Tavern supposedly one of the scenes was

4:29 the the scenes there's Village Pizza

4:34 sequence when the Moose is walking by he

4:36 walks right past the Village Pizza sign

4:51 there look really awesome very old

4:51 school very windy hopefully you can see

4:54 and hear all this majesticness and the

4:56 Wind by the way over here this wasn't in

4:58 the show but that's Marlon Brando right

5:01 there Marlon Brando he wasn't in the

5:03 show Northern Exposure he's not a

5:05 northerner and he's never been exposed

5:07 but I'm exposing him now Marlin Brando

5:11 right there all kind of murals on the

5:13 walls all this could be seen in the

5:25 show wow this is also from the opening

5:25 credit sequence Northwest Mining Company

5:28 this was the off of Dr flashman's and

5:32 they still have his name engraved on the

5:35 wall and painted right there on the

5:37 window just like it was in the show come

5:39 on come take a

5:49 look wow still there look Dr Joel

5:49 fman little L there's a little L Joel

5:52 fman that's a sign that's pretty cool

6:06 I'm not going to lie it's kind of chilly

6:06 I should be wearing a hoodie or a beanie

6:08 or some sort of a jacket of some sort

6:10 because it is kind of nippy out here I'm

6:11 not really sure what the degree of

6:12 temperature is but it is

6:14 chilly how's it

6:23 replied with some sort of noise I don't

6:25 know what he said he mumbled something

6:37 it's always cool to get off the beaten

7:10 moose was right there in the middle of

7:18 road so that's the final shot of the

7:18 credit sequence the Moose would have

7:20 walked right by Roslin cafe they've

7:23 remove the S because in the TV show this

7:26 was in Alaska and the town was not named

7:28 Roslin do you know what the name of the

7:30 town on the TV show was leave a comment

7:32 if you know what town name was in Alaska

7:36 that was actually really Rosland

7:38 Washington so they removed the S brought

7:41 it back to the Rosland Cafe but that's

7:42 the mural there's the rosin's cafe this

7:46 is fantastic I'm standing out here in

7:50 road Northern Exposure time this is so

7:53 cool there's a rosin Museum I should go

7:55 in over there all the rest of the guys
