0:48 yesterday we had a Chick-Fil-A open and

0:50 today yesterday actually today the

0:53 Chick-fil-A opened but today and

0:55 yesterday the WWA opened right there

0:58 Wawa this opened yesterday I got

1:01 confused today is the grand opening of

1:03 Chick-fil-A yesterday people camping out

1:06 I did a daily Vlog blog on the camping

1:08 out of Chick-fil-A but yesterday when

1:11 they people were doing the grand opening

1:12 of Chick-fil-A I'm so confused there's

1:14 so many grand openings in my teeny tiny

1:17 small town that I have all these

1:18 memories I've lived here since 1991 so

1:21 what is that 22 years I lived in this

1:24 town I've seen it grow immensely and now

1:27 we have a WWA

1:30 a waha a brand new gas St remember when

1:33 gas stations were teeny tiny just like

1:35 the teeny tiny Town look at this I got

1:37 like an ant bite or a mosquito bite

1:39 right here and I was picking at it and

1:41 now I have a blister on my nose it's a

1:44 blister on my nose anyway back to the

1:48 WWA you guys ever been to a WWA it's a

1:51 pretty fantastic little convenience

1:53 store it's not really little though it's

1:54 massive they got cheap gas look at that

2:00 and they also have free coffee look how

2:03 massive this WWA is free coffee all kind

2:08 signs convenience stores have gotten

2:11 gargantuan in size they're very

2:13 convenient they've always been

2:15 convenient but now they're almost like a

2:17 mall it's like you go into a convenience

2:19 store and it's like going into a mall or

2:21 a Superstore of some sorts I want to

2:24 talk to you today about the survival of

2:26 the retail

2:28 fittest that's pretty much what I'm

2:30 going to talk to you but I got to I got

2:31 to keep my eyes on the road this is St

2:34 Cloud Florida you can look straight

2:36 ahead you can see the water tower way

2:38 down there it's a small town I actually

2:41 like St Cloud Florida a lot because it's

2:43 kind of a ways from Orlando a ways from

2:46 Disney World but things are slowly but

2:49 surely seeping in to my small town even

2:52 though I'm very rarely here I'm usually

2:54 on the road trip usually I'm on a road

2:56 trip as you know I travel around the

2:57 country and whatnot so I'm very rarely

3:00 here so when I do return I always see

3:03 all kind of changes and it's kind of

3:05 disheartening but at the same time I

3:07 like progress Everyone likes progress

3:10 the world is always going to progress so

3:13 I want to know do you have any major

3:15 progress in your little small town are

3:17 you from a small town and if you are

3:19 from a small town do you see any major

3:22 enhancements that you either approve of

3:25 or disapprove of cuz I'm not really sure

3:27 if I approve or disapprove of wall WS of

3:30 Chick-fil-A of Walmarts cuz they're all

3:33 convenient everything's a convenient and

3:35 even the small owners are all trying to

3:37 succeed as well but sometimes the big

3:40 Empires that come in are a little

3:42 disheartening so I want to know what

3:43 your opinion is on the big corporations

3:46 coming in swooping in and getting rid of

3:49 the little guys and if you think the

3:51 little guys are not hurt by such a thing

3:54 you are incorrect in assuming that and

3:56 I'm going to show you what I'm talking

3:58 about look at this remember the WWA I

4:00 just showed you well here is something

4:05 else Decay and decline you always wonder

4:08 why things Decline and Decay well that

4:11 could be one of the reasons the big guys

4:13 come in and they take over and this is

4:16 what we're left

4:24 moment this place is now completely

4:27 abandoned I remember I used to come here

4:29 and get so is here way before the wwas

4:32 and the 711s and the Circle Ks this was

4:34 like a little mom and pot place you can

4:36 get your gas here owned by someone

4:39 locally and now the corporations come in

4:42 and take it over like I was saying I'm

4:44 not really sure how I feel I don't want

4:45 to be hypocritical about this I don't

4:47 want you you to be hypocritical about

4:49 this because we all utilize new fangled

4:52 things and we all like progress but it

4:55 is kind of sad when these places go away

4:57 and they are no more and I want to show

5:00 you one other place let's get back in I

5:03 want to show you one other place which

5:05 is actually I was just driving to go

5:06 check out the new Wawa and I passed

5:09 another place this place has a lot of

5:11 memories who I got to cruise through

5:14 here see before there were so many cars

5:16 in this parking lot that I wouldn't have

5:18 been able to just zip through here oh

5:20 hold on let me turn in

5:23 woo moving along I wouldn't have been

5:25 able to zip through that parking lot

5:26 like that before about a year ago but

5:28 now the place is completely closed

5:30 progress has come to small town my small

5:33 town the little small town of St Cloud

5:36 Florida and check out this place I've

5:39 been to this place a million times and I

5:41 just drove by here about 5 minutes

5:43 before I started this Vlog blog and it's

5:45 now closed

5:47 Mystic the Mystic

5:56 store completely closed this place is a

5:56 staple of St Cloud Florida history and

5:59 it's it's now all boarded up you can't

6:01 get gas here anymore you can't get

6:03 anything here anymore it's all

6:05 completely closed and completely

6:08 abandoned and there over there is now a

6:10 psychotic homeless lady that's talking

6:13 to me kind of scary she's over here

6:15 yelling wondering what I'm doing she's

6:18 this kind of humorous over there you see

6:20 her through the window right there look

6:22 at her woo she was yelling at me

6:25 something she was cursing profanity at

6:28 me I'm just trying to show some history

6:30 of St Cloud Florida psychotic homeless

6:32 woman lady but that's what happens

6:34 you're not going to see someone like

6:36 that hanging down at the WWA so maybe it

6:38 is a good thing it gives people a place

6:39 to chill out and hang out they're

6:41 obviously not spending any money here

6:42 anymore this is a little disappointing

6:45 cuz I spent a lot of money at this guy's

6:47 place the Mystic gas station has a lot
