Goodbye To DinoLand At Animal Kingdom - Disney World Is Closing Rides & Changing The Entire Area

0:17 Animal Kingdom which is what I'm doing

0:18 today I try to stop off here at this

0:21 Mickey D's which is solar powered

0:24 there's a huge solar power up on the

0:26 roof get my coffee here and I'm going to

0:29 head over into animal Kingdom where

0:31 certain attractions will be closing

0:33 within the next few months so it's going

0:36 to be a pre goodby to some of the

0:39 attractions I don't doing a lot of

0:41 traveling when it comes into next year

0:44 so I don't know if I'm going to be in

0:45 town on the official closing dates of

0:48 some of these some of them have been

0:50 announced some of them there are rumors

0:52 on and I'm just going to go ahead and uh

0:55 and knock some of them out today one of

0:57 them being dinosaur another one being

1:00 Triceratop Spin and another one tough to

1:02 be a bug all three of those soon will be

1:05 erased from

1:08 existence I'm going to have an animal

1:09 kingdom today I'm inviting you to join

1:17 here that's pretty good shall you I

1:17 always like the Sleek like look of this

1:19 well it's not really I don't know why

1:20 I'm saying Sleek like because it's just

1:22 a it's a rectangle from this angle well

1:24 the top of the roof which is the grid of

1:27 solar powerness right there top where

1:30 the drive-thru is and on top of this is

1:32 a little Sleek like speaking of things

1:34 that are being erased from existence

1:36 they got rid of over here so there's the

1:38 golden arches this is the foliage arches

1:42 and when this place first opened a few

1:44 years ago they ended up having some

1:46 bicycles that were mounted into the

1:48 ground that you could ride on and it

1:50 would illuminate the gold section of the

1:54 Mickey D's golden arches there

1:57 inside of the foliage but they've

2:00 removed the bicycles a few months ago

2:02 and now they've just placed B not

2:04 bicycles but they placed boxes on top of

2:07 where the bicycles were so you could no

2:08 longer get your cardio in and work off

2:12 the little bit of sugar that is in your

2:14 piping hot caffeinated beverage or if

2:17 you get anything else there's a lot of

2:18 other options here too but this this is

2:19 what I got all right heading to Animal

2:21 Kingdom made a reservation a little bit

2:23 before heading over going to scan my AP

2:26 got my magic band for when I go in the

2:28 park it's an Animal Kingdom day Disney

2:31 Animal Kingdom day all right the tram is

2:33 loading up I think I might just walk it

2:37 however it's not too far from where I'm

2:40 at over here in giraffe

2:42 228 giraffe 228 or giraffe 2 28 or

2:48 228 it's

2:57 giraffe giraffe 228 right next to 227

2:57 last time I was in Animal Kingdom a few

2:58 months ago I parked at 22 2 27 now I

3:00 parked at 228 I remember

3:02 227 because there was a TV show called

3:05 227 I'm right next to the TV show now in

3:12 22A and giraffe is right next to

3:12 Dinosaur so evidently the dinosaur

3:15 attraction is going to be extinct no pun

3:18 intended or no maybe it's not a pun it's

3:21 just a an ironic

3:24 terminology it's going to be turning

3:26 into an Indiana Jones Show and from what

3:28 I'm hearing the rumor mill it's not

3:30 going to be an exact carbon copy of

3:32 Anaheim which is going to be nice be

3:34 kind of cool to see Indie back in there

3:36 the whole Dino Land

3:38 USA it's going to be gone and they're

3:40 going to have a whole different section

3:42 including Indie en Kanto a bunch of

3:46 other stuff they announced the d23 also

3:47 look at

3:53 this unicorn 215 I guess I could have

3:53 taking the tram but just getting some

3:55 steps in here passing unicor

4:01 McDonald's coffee is pretty good I like

4:03 McDonald's coffee okay this is a

4:05 serious they were cones moment they have

4:09 overload on the

4:13 cones they really want to make it known

4:15 you're not supposed to park in the grass

4:16 I've never seen so many

4:23 cones in one section before this is

4:23 maybe a world record for the most amount

4:25 of

4:26 cones in one little area almost at the

4:29 front front

4:30 entrance same time frame as the tram so

4:34 I would have been waiting on the tram

4:36 that whole

4:37 time I'd rather just be moving I always

4:39 like forward motion as opposed of just

4:43 sitting sometimes the tra is quicker but

4:45 a lot of times it's about the same same

4:48 time

4:49 frame at 11:37 these are the weight

4:52 times so you got over in the Avatar area

4:56 about an hour wait for each of those an

4:58 hour right now for the Safari that'll a

5:00 little as the afternoon goes on that'll

5:02 probably get to be a little bit less

5:04 tough to be a bug is this one right here

5:06 the 10-minute one 10 minutes for

5:10 dinosaur and 5 minutes for Triceratop

5:15 Spin and maybe maybe do Everest for 35

5:19 minutes but the three I really want to

5:21 do are you know 5 minutes 10 minute

5:25 weights those are the three that are

5:27 going away Triceratop spin I believe

5:29 middle of January has been officially

5:31 announced they are closing dinosaur will

5:33 be soon after has not officially been

5:34 announced but it will be soon after

5:36 based on the rumor mill and then tough

5:40 to be a bug shortly after that there's

5:42 some an eaters over there walking

5:48 around think there's any ants in there

5:48 or are they just the ant eaters walking

5:50 around looking for ants I would guess

5:53 there's probably ants on the ground that

5:55 one's eating something

5:57 probably either the foliage or a little

6:00 snack that the workers have left out for

6:03 it or possibly eating some ants I don't

6:06 know if that's a healthy meal or not

6:08 probably

6:09 is ants probably not too content with

6:12 the uh the situation but it is what it

6:15 is circle of life right guys ah yes and

6:18 coming soon very very soon will be

6:22 rip Dino Land USA not yet but soon so

6:27 known as Discovery Island that's what

6:28 this bridge leads to which has Dino Land

6:31 on it also I wonder when they bring the

6:33 new land in that's going to be over in

6:35 this section when Dino Land and all that

6:37 goes away if they're going to eventually

6:39 do something over here with where the

6:42 the what's it called kite Tails there

6:45 was a kite show over here there was

6:46 originally when the park open and I

6:49 think a few years after that there was a

6:50 nighttime spectacular they don't do

6:51 anything really with this Lagoon anymore

6:54 it' be kind of nice if they brought

6:55 something back over here the ter

7:01 there trillo bites I think it's called

7:05 you got dinos or Donald's Dino bash

7:09 signage still up over there you can do

7:10 some character meet and greets and there

7:12 is a possibility with I am in town and

7:15 they do announce last days for dinosaur

7:18 that I might be here in town on the last

7:20 day but there's really no guarantee of

7:21 that they haven't announced it because

7:23 I'm going to be doing a lot of traveling

7:24 there's really no guarantee and because

7:27 I am going to Alaska in November and I'm

7:29 going went to Hawaii in December and La

7:31 back in December it won't be a lot here

7:33 in December as well so cannot see that

7:35 sign at all that is a Sunburst I believe

7:37 after I get done with some of the other

7:39 stuff maybe even before I'll go on

7:41 Expedition ever I do like that I could

7:43 single Rider on it as well but I think

7:45 it's only like a 20- minute weit at the

7:46 moment 25 minute weit so maybe not even

7:48 do a single Rider just get in the

7:49 regular line it probably is even less

7:51 than that but I was kind of perusing

7:53 around over in dinand USA and a lot of

7:56 people didn't really like it it's kind

7:58 of it was kind of a a we we setup for a

8:00 Disney park almost kind of like Paradise

8:02 Pier now Pixar Pier a lot of people

8:04 don't approve of the the idea of having

8:06 like a more of a carnival style thing

8:09 but I think that the dino the dino the

8:12 dino land area really was more the

8:15 carnival area was a lot more Carnival s

8:18 than even like paradise and Pixar Pier

8:20 is and I really like the fact that it

8:22 was just kind of like going to like a

8:24 almost like a a popup Carnival in a

8:26 parking lot in fact you can even see

8:29 where they had parking spaces which

8:31 really it's not something you would

8:33 normally see at a Disney park something

8:35 of this caliber but it was more made of

8:37 like a Roadside Attraction I love

8:39 roadside attractions so I kind of like

8:41 the theming of it I know a lot of people

8:43 didn't but for some something about it

8:45 was just uh kind of brought back that

8:46 nostalgic like a church Carnival Vibes

8:49 or a a fair setup in a in a parking lot

8:53 Vibes so that that I'm going to kind of

8:55 missed but it definitely has seen better

8:57 days uh we already want to traction went

9:00 away a couple years ago and now the

9:02 other ones are going to follow all right

9:04 you know what I decided I'm going to go

9:06 ahead and head over to Everest first

9:07 before doing dinosaur and tough to be a

9:09 bug ooh you can hear the the drop it

9:12 just happen and now it's going up and

9:13 around Expedition Everest here I come

9:21 Rider line usually there'll be like 10

9:23 or 15 deep here there's no one in the

18:32 fantastically themed gift shop which has

18:35 a lot of really quirky stuff up on the

18:37 roof roof line from hanging from the

18:39 ceiling on in and enjoy their Ice Age

18:42 air conditioning don't mind if I do it

18:44 take a look at this Coca-Cola machine

18:46 right here vintage Coca-Cola refresh

18:47 yourself big cooler right there again

18:50 you got this dyo here there's a train

18:52 that goes around there's all kind of

18:54 diaramas dangling from the ceiling all

18:56 kind of postures about dinosaurs this

18:59 might be one of the probably the best

19:02 themed gift shops left still currently

19:05 on property I can't think of too many

19:07 other ones a lot of the kind of quirky

19:09 gift shops have kind of Gone by the

19:10 wayside I've also already gone extinct

19:13 before this but I love all the like

19:14 Coca-Cola stuff that's in here you got

19:16 all the dinosaur stuff that's in here a

19:18 lot of anything that has dinosaur theme

19:20 it's just basically what you'd see like

19:22 a Roadside Attraction going around what

19:25 do you see up there look got all the old

19:26 Comics that are jammed up in the corners

19:29 yeah I mean it's just anything that has

19:31 a dinosaur when they were set dressing

19:32 this place they were just like just go

19:35 find as much dinosaur stuff as you could

19:37 possibly find and what you would see

19:39 like on Route 66 or driving across

19:41 Lincoln Highway you would stop at this

19:43 weird unusual places of course most

19:45 dinosaur stuff would probably be out in

19:46 like the desert you got into the desert

19:48 areas where you find Place something SAR

19:51 similar to this when they definitely set

19:52 dressed all this that's what they were

19:54 going for they were going for a Roadside

19:56 Attraction type of theme just like the

19:59 Dino Land is that's basically a fair set

20:02 up in a parking lot so it's kind of yeah

20:05 it's definitely not what you would

20:06 expect at a Disney park It's Kind

20:09 definitely a little bit different

20:10 different vibe maybe that's why people

20:11 didn't really catch on to it as much I

20:13 know a lot of people just passed through

20:14 the gift shop and through the dinorama

20:16 area we're kind of like what exactly is

20:18 this this this is not a this is not what

20:20 we expect out of Disney but I I liked it

20:22 what we got over here we already got the

20:24 Indiana jonesb coming oh he hates he

20:27 snakes found it at least two from the

20:29 attraction the third one's not but we

20:31 got two here from the attraction the

20:34 credit card was not working but I had a

20:36 dollar bill so I just went ahead and got

20:38 one I went and got the final dyo at the

20:40 drop so now let's go get that dyo press

20:47 of the all the roadside era theming

20:49 through here but also the Coca-Cola

20:50 stuff also notice look this here this a

21:24 familyes all going in and not knowing

21:26 how horrifying this attraction is it's

21:27 like literally one of those scariest

21:28 rides that still exist on property I

21:31 also never noticed back here where it

21:32 says where fossils are full where

21:34 fossils are a way of life Welcome to

21:36 digs County and I also never noticed

21:38 back here there's a parking lot Chester

21:40 and Hester's dinorama parking lot sign

21:43 right there and there's like some neat

21:44 theming here and there's like a road

21:46 that goes from here and leads back over

21:49 so over here used to be what was it

21:53 here oh um not Triceratop spin but

21:55 primeval wh it took that down here comes

23:57 one in in line we didn't even wait 1

24:02 get on whatever Dyno you want on we got

24:03 on the dyno and off off we went but now

24:06 we're going to head out of Discovery

24:08 Island thank you for disneying dinand

24:10 USA there's a possibility I might pop

24:13 back pop back in before everything

24:15 closes but they haven't announced all

24:17 the closing dates yet so I wanted to

24:19 make sure I wanted to get it in cuz you

24:20 just never know there's a possibility

24:22 when I start traveling I could be gone

24:24 and they could just immediately close

24:26 some of the stuff that I that I showed
