0:20 welcome everyone don't mind these crazy
0:20 topiaries I'm walking
0:22 near basically have nothing to do with
0:25 this
0:27 video that's a horse right there what
0:30 this video has to do with is the filming
0:33 locations of the West Anderson classic
0:36 and my personal favorite of his
0:47 Rushmore so join me shall
0:47 you he's ready
1:02 the school that was used as Rushmore in
1:02 the movie pretty much guarded like Fort
1:05 n check out those steel bars right there
1:08 they definitely don't want us in there
1:10 got the
1:11 Riverdale police department patrol sign
1:13 right
1:17 there right here in the movie they would
1:17 have had some Hedges covering the real
1:19 name of the school and of course Max
1:21 fiser would have rode his bike straight
1:23 down this way and right into Rushmore
1:33 so we're actually inside Rushmore
1:34 Academy right now that little circular
1:36 area down there is where Bill Murray
1:38 would have had his brakes cut and he
1:40 almost
1:52 crashed that security guard doesn't want
1:52 me in here yeah that guy right there
2:06 like everything you do Big Show no
2:06 results you better beat it
2:17 sunny well the security guard back there
2:17 really didn't want me taking any
2:18 pictures and didn't really want me on
2:20 the property so I was asked to quickly
2:22 leave the
2:24 premises they want to kick me out
2:26 continuing on
2:33 right there is the church that was used
2:33 as the chapel building where Bill Murray
2:35 gave his
2:36 speech take dead aim on the rich
2:41 boys get them in the
2:43 crosshairs and take them down you can
2:47 actually see the stained glass windows
2:49 the camera would be on the inside facing
2:51 out but Bill Murray would have been
2:53 standing deep inside there with those
2:55 stained glass windows to his back pretty
2:58 awesome
2:59 thank
3:00 you it really doesn't look anything like
3:03 it did in the movie but this was the
3:04 Courtyard area where Max fiser first met
3:08 Bill Murray's character Mr Bloom in fact
3:11 right over there is the chapel doors
3:13 where they would have walked straight
3:14 out of graduation Herman perhaps you
3:17 could give us an oncore Nicholas cernus
3:19 hello I'm Max Fisher I just wanted to
3:22 say that I strongly agree with your
3:24 views concerning Rush looks a lot
3:26 different it's now a parking lot you can
3:28 see all this in the background of course
3:30 um your speech was excellent thank you
3:34 thank you thank you when Max was
3:36 expelled from Rushmore he had to go to a
3:38 public school where is that public
3:40 school you might ask well let me show
3:42 you straight ahead that way look
3:46 familiar that's it right
3:58 there any on C on campus have to be
4:01 approved oh really Co all right on oh
4:05 come
4:06 on that's rude boy I just can't win when
4:09 it comes to trying to take pictures and
4:11 video from that security guard
4:13 definitely didn't want me on
4:15 property moving
4:23 on anybody need a comb since I've been
4:23 kicked off the property you'll look
4:25 straight ahead you can see that right
4:27 there is where Bill Murray would have
4:29 ran ran over Max Fisher's
4:37 bicycle I'm going to get that Max Fisher
4:43 there straight down that way was where
4:45 Max Fisher's father owned the barber
4:47 shop and the way you can tell is there a
4:49 laundry right across the
4:55 street someone keeps honking at me
4:55 someone keeps honking at me over there
4:58 right there is where the taxi would have
4:59 stopped Max would have stood right on
5:01 this exact spot right
5:07 here hi hi
5:20 there thanks for meeting me Mr Bloom
5:20 what can I do for
5:26 you one thing that's really cool is that
5:28 this here you can actually see in the
5:31 shot this weird paper looking brick you
5:34 can actually see in the shot when Bill
5:36 Murray comes walking out of
5:39 there how much are you worth by the way
5:41 I don't know over 10 million yeah I
5:44 guess so good good why cuz we're going
5:47 to need all of
5:53 it this is the graveyard they shot the
5:53 scene where Max was visiting his
5:54 mother's
5:55 grave it's a pretty large graveyard
5:58 right here in Houston
6:00 going to have a tough time narrowing it
6:07 down I think I may have found it it was
6:07 tough but I think I may have found it
6:10 see what you think this is the spot
6:13 where Bill Murray would have been
6:14 standing they had a fake tree here you
6:17 can see this tree how it Forks up like
6:19 that has grown quite a bit there's my
6:21 van over
6:29 there this Tombstone looks the same as
6:29 well as this and these little Graves as
6:32 well as these small
6:35 headstones she's my Rushmore
6:38 Max yeah I know she was mine
6:53 too if you remember in the movie
6:53 correctly Max Fischer's house was
6:55 actually joined to the backside of the
6:58 cemetery so obvious see the house has to
7:00 be connected to the cemetery right well
7:03 yes it is in fact it's right there
7:06 you're married to the Sea yes that's
7:09 true but I've been out to sea for a long
7:12 time it definitely looks a lot different
7:14 than it did in the movie but straight
7:16 ahead is the fence that Max would have
7:20 jumped you got some crazy wild
7:23 dogs but straight here Max would have
7:25 jumped that fence and Scurry it off of
7:28 course into the cemetery
7:46 you probably don't recognize what I'm
7:47 leaning against that's because it's
7:48 super close up well let's go farther
7:51 back that way you might recognize this
7:54 shot farther get farther back
7:58 farther that's bad
8:00 you can tell from this right here if
8:01 you're familiar with the movie and of
8:03 course this right over here my Vans
8:05 parked way over there you got this
8:08 massive parking lot right out there is
8:11 where they were flying in The
8:13 Kite does that look familiar I know it
8:16 does if it doesn't you need to go back
8:18 and watch the film or just watch these
8:21 clips right here
9:13 man asked to leave once
9:13 again not doing too
9:22 well I think you just got to find
9:22 something you love to do and then do it
9:24 for the rest of your
9:26 life evidently these are on private
9:30 property oh are they
