0:31 Nirvana have you ever heard of David Gro

0:34 he was in both of those groups two

0:37 massive rock and roll establishments and

0:40 he was born and raised right here in

0:42 Warren Ohio that's why I'm showing that

0:45 to clarify that we are in Warren Ohio

0:52 said there's two massive rock bands that

0:55 Dave Gro was in well this is only the

0:57 second Alleyway that is actually been

1:00 dedicated to a rock group or a rock

1:37 Fighters and a drumstick a drumstick

1:40 right underneath there is a drum kit as

1:42 well but these are actually the world's

1:45 largest drumsticks in

1:48 dedication of the favorite son in Warren

1:50 Ohio David Gro right there Dave

2:16 girl and created this entire Alleyway I

2:20 actually did a little bit of research

2:21 about a year ago or 6 months ago or less

2:24 than that someone came out here and

2:25 actually desecrated this little area

2:28 came out here and spray painted over all

2:30 of this area spray painted the drum kit

2:33 down there spray painted the walls spray

2:35 painted over the murals I'm about to

2:37 show you so that was kind of a bummer

2:39 but the town folk all rallied together

2:41 came back out here cleaned up the alley

2:44 and repainted did their own murals again

2:47 there's another city of Warren there's a

2:48 lot of dumpsters in this area evidently

2:51 do not want trashers actually a sign

2:54 down there above the drumsticks that say

2:56 this whole area is now under video

2:58 surveillance not only their surveillance

3:01 but I'm surveying I'm video surveying

3:04 this whole area myself Planters made out

3:25 recreation of Dave Gro himself banging

3:36 why that is on the front of the drum kit

3:39 that's some sort of a buzzard or an

3:41 eagle right there with Dave Gro just

3:45 walloping along the drum kit very cool

3:49 this is here permanently all the time

3:51 this drum kit is here I actually had the

3:53 honor and the privilege in 1993 of

3:56 seeing Dave girl himself play with the

3:58 band Nirvana derana is definitely one of

4:01 my favorite groups of all time they

4:02 helped change and revolutionize the m

4:05 movie not the movie the music industry

4:09 hair metal was a big huge phenomenon and

4:12 then Nirvana came along and brought rock

4:14 and roll and especially punk rock to the

4:16 Forefront and into the mainstream and

4:19 that guy was one of the reasons Mr David

4:22 Gro look at that up there some stuff

4:32 here and here along the bottom it says

4:38 you can see it written right along the

4:40 ground

4:42 there it's very cool and here's his face

4:50 likeness also when they dedicated this

4:52 alley I believe it was 2009 I could be

4:55 incorrect maybe you could correct me and

4:57 Google search on your own research but

4:59 David gr actually came out here

5:02 unbeknownst to the town they announced

5:04 they were going to dedicate this alley

5:06 and Dave gr flew out here with some of

5:08 his family members brought his guitar

5:10 and actually performed right over

5:13 somewhere in this area maybe where I

5:15 started the Vlog blog somewhere in this

5:17 area Dave girl with his guitar played a

5:20 song for the town folk he was very

5:22 thankful and very humbled by The

5:25 Experience look at this this is what I

5:26 was talking about this property is

5:29 protected by video surveillance and

5:31 here's Dave Gro in a drum in a drum kit

5:35 area look at that that's like a snare or

5:38 a kick drum his guitar whistling in the

5:42 wind and flames shooting out behind he's

5:45 he's a speed demon he's a speed demon of

5:48 rock and roll not just in one major rock

5:51 group of Nirvana but a secondary Foo

5:54 Fighters two of the biggest rock bands

5:56 of all time as well as a million of

5:59 other side projects he's done I really

6:02 like David Gro as a person he were just

6:04 inducted Nirvana was just inducted into

6:07 the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and I

6:08 must say what he had to say was actually

6:11 very cool you can go on YouTube and

6:12 watch that he gave a whole speech about

6:14 how you really should not idolize people

6:17 you put a poster up on your wall of a

6:18 rock musician you shouldn't think that

6:20 guy's better than me what you should

6:22 think these are his words is I'm going

6:24 to be that guy wow that guy over there

6:27 is making a loud Ruckus d instructed

6:29 what I was trying to say basically Dave

6:31 girl was saying you should not have

6:34 Idols that you look up to you should say

6:36 you should look at a poster like that

6:37 and say I'm going to be that guy so you

6:40 got to wonder how many kids are out

6:41 there that play guitar play drums that

6:43 say one day I'm going to be Dave Gro

6:46 just like Dave Gro looked at his posters

6:49 and thought I'm going to be that guy he

6:51 was a committed guy dedicated and now he

6:54 has an entire alley dedicated to

6:57 him also Dave girl I believe I could be

7:00 incorrect in this as well but I think

7:02 Dave gr is the highest paid drummer in

7:05 existence as of current day so that's

7:09 pretty amazing that he came from this

7:10 little tiny town of Warren Ohio pretty

7:15 awesome are you more of a Nirvana guy or

7:18 a girl or are you more of a Foo Fighters

7:20 fan I got to be honest with you I'm more

7:22 of a Nirvana person because I kind of

7:24 like that's kind of what I grew up on I

7:26 was a huge fan I do like Foo Fighters

7:28 but definitely more of a Nirvana guy so

9:21 out I thought this band's never going to

9:23 be anywhere near as big as Nirvana I was

9:25 completely wrong Foo Fighters are

9:28 massive David girl now has an alley very

9:33 awesome Nirvana Foo Fighters what are

9:36 some of the other projects that Dave Gro

9:39 was a part

9:40 of another interesting fact as well I

9:42 forgot to mention this at the beginning

9:44 a lot of people thought Dave Gro was

9:46 over near the Seattle area that's where

9:48 he was born and raised just like Chris

9:50 Nova celic and Kurt Cobain were from

9:52 that area Nirvana of course was a

9:54 Seattle area based band a lot of people

9:57 have no idea that he would is right here
