0:08 2024 been wandering around a little bit
0:11 stretching the legs I'm about to do a
0:13 little jog for the first time in forever
0:16 starting here on the corner of Spring

0:24 and I think I'm going to try to do it's
0:26 about a mile it's a titin a few feet
0:28 past a mile down to Market Street from
0:30 this
0:31 intersection and I'm going to try to jog
0:34 it see what happens welcome everyone
0:37 Adam the woo here now usually I would
0:39 show on my phone what I'm doing but cuz
0:42 I'm filming on my phone and not on my
0:44 camera all I'm taking out is said phone
0:48 so I can't show the the proximity that's
0:50 why I'm showing the cross streets I'm
0:52 going to try to jog all the way to
0:53 Starbucks I doing a 13.1 M half marathon
0:58 in September my birthday is about about
1:00 155 156 days from now August 10th 2024
1:05 I'll be 50 years old I'm doing a fitx 50
1:08 challenge but then also three or four
1:10 weeks after that I'm doing my first run
1:12 Disney event I talked about that the
1:14 other day and I was going to take all of
1:16 this month all of March to do a little
1:19 treadmill
1:20 action but the treadmill is kind of
1:22 boring I do the treadmill I watch shows
1:24 on the treadmill and I really kind of
1:26 need to get out onto the concrete onto
1:28 the open Plains if you will and that's
1:30 what I'm going to do and I'm just going
1:31 to see how far I can get without you
1:35 know peeling over at this point and just
1:37 test the old muscles and
1:39 the the the body system now I paraph not
1:43 paraphrase but uh to give a disclaimer I
1:46 will probably not be running all of the
1:47 13 miles in September when I do the
1:50 Disney half marathon Halloween half
1:53 marathon I just want to cross the finish
1:55 line I'm hearing as long as you can do a
1:57 15minute pace for a mile running walking
2:01 then the balloon ladies there's the
2:03 infamous balloon ladies which I did not
2:04 know about until I posted that
2:06 announcement video they will not catch
2:09 up with you and make you completely
2:11 isn't this such a beautiful
2:13 area all right I'm inviting you to join
2:15 me on a run walk test out the old feet
2:20 test out the old socks shoes I did have
2:24 some running socks but I use traditional
2:25 socks and I have these oncloud shoes and
2:29 the only thing I'm bringing with me is a
2:32 $10 bill in my pocket to get some water
2:35 if I need and my phone I think I might
2:39 invest in an Apple Watch though I think
2:41 that's like a good thing that way I can
2:42 see exactly how far I'm running all

2:55 oh my God holy Lord I made to this point
3:01 Corner celebration of Campus that was a
3:04 heck of a lot harder than I expected not
3:07 quite a mile about a block from the
3:08 Starbucks which would have been a mile a
3:10 little over a mile good Lord got get my
3:15 circulation going again feels good but
3:19 when I used to run when I was younger I
3:21 was a lot lighter when I started running
3:24 it felt like there was a an earthquake
3:27 underneath my feet on my own for
3:30 weighing so much holy
3:33 Lord oh that was the most distance I've
3:37 run let's call it 4 fths of a mile
3:40 Starbucks is right there which was a
3:42 mile from the point close to
3:43 it let's call it 4 fth of a mile give or
3:48 take all right so over the next 150 days
3:52 really need to lose weight CU goodness
3:55 gu the blood flow and I can feel my
3:56 heart P palpitating pumping
4:00 no Starbucks today just going to get
4:02 some
4:08 water wow not I'm amazed I made it as
4:08 far as I did though I thought I will say
4:11 I did think it was going to be a little
4:12 easier I did not realize my back was
4:14 going to feel it my legs were fine side
4:18 was fine cuz mostly my back and then the
4:22 the upper boobage area flopping around
4:25 this will all go away watching what I
4:27 eat and going from there man I was going
4:32 to try to make it to full
4:34 mile my body was saying no no no take a
4:37 take a break I'll get there I'll get it
4:40 it's only the first day of the jogging I
4:42 want to call it running but I kind of
4:44 figure if I can get to the point where I
4:46 jog the first two miles of the 13 miles
4:50 and then brisly walk at like a 3.5 Pace
4:53 a second mile then maybe run a mile or a
4:56 half mile half mile on half mile off
4:59 stay stay along from stay away from the
5:02 back of the pack I could be good that's
5:05 my that's my
5:06 plan 13 and 1 12 miles is really going
5:08 to be a an undertaking the 5K 10K were
5:12 both sold out I even time I took a
5:15 screen grab of the time when I was
5:19 leaving that intersection to over here
5:20 and I totally forgot I was at one with
5:23 my own thoughts for about three or four
5:25 minutes trying to regain my my cons not
5:28 Consciousness but
5:30 regained myself I forgot to look at the
5:33 time when I
5:34 stopped but I got a little ethos water
5:36 here from Starbucks yeah this is going
5:37 to be a long process this is the old
5:40 parking lot I used to park in when I
5:41 have my apartment over
5:47 here part used to be right up
5:47 there people circling around trying to
5:49 find parking there's a spot right
5:51 there see that Park that car right there
5:54 though if that was me parked there I'd
5:56 be tow cuz it's not a parking spot
5:57 anyway that's a whole other story
6:00 guess that was just my time to be
6:08 towed now in no way is it in determining
6:08 distance where Al the water is hitting
6:11 the spot but just to give no determining
6:14 Factor has been ran yet to really give a
6:17 consensus on whether the shoes feel
6:18 amazing or if I'm going to be able to do
6:20 this again just first thought
6:22 jarring it's probably been at least a
6:25 decade
6:26 since I've ran that distance and it's
6:29 only it was only what 4 fifths of a mile
6:31 3/4 of a mile and didn't know what kind
6:34 of pace I was at but I was definitely
6:36 wasn't sprinting I wasn't giving it my
6:38 all but I was had a pretty good Pace
6:40 going on but I will say the
6:43 shoes do feel really comfy pretty good I
6:47 think these are going to be pretty good
6:49 to break in I'm sure I'm going to wear
6:50 through these maybe another pair even
6:52 before
6:54 September's race but so I think I'm
6:58 going to pick another marker try to do
6:59 another another dve maybe I'll do a half
7:02 mile instead of trying to do it a mile
7:04 maybe just a quick little half mile 3/4
7:05 a mile miles a little too much I'll try
7:08 to pick another half mile point from
7:09 where I at right now look on the map and
7:11 get back with you I walked over to
7:13 Savannah Square going to start again I
7:15 think it's about half mile yeah probably
7:18 6 miles it's called a half mile from
7:20 here this direction over towards the
7:24 library the celebration of Library all
7:26 right going to get jogging see how see
7:28 see if I can get over there with House
7:30 St here comes the
7:38 Rhino that's what I feel
7:38 like feel like a rhino running okay I
7:41 had to slow down right here turn it into
7:44 a
7:46 walk second fail in the distance so far
7:48 today but at least I'm getting a a
7:51 little perspective so they made it
7:53 probably 35ths of that sixth Mile in the
7:57 second run quarter of camp of goth Park
8:01 starting off on the second little
8:04 leg over at Savannah Park goodness
8:07 gracious this is a wakeup call feel like
8:09 I should have stuck with my original
8:11 thought process and game plan which was
8:13 to take this whole month and just to
8:16 W walking startle me scared me man
8:21 should have just started off with the
8:24 first game plan which was to drop about
8:26 10 15 more pounds this month just by
8:28 doing Shred so I don't yeah I think
8:31 probably the regular 3 four maybe five
8:34 times a week running will start in April
8:36 but I want to test it out and I am not
8:39 ready to be hitting the pavement yet I
8:42 think I'm just too heavy and I'm just
8:43 out of shape my legs feel pretty good
8:46 but yeah just
8:49 uh didn't think it was going to hit me
8:51 this hard so I don't think I'm going to
8:53 do any more running today look how my
8:54 face is sweating but I am going to head
8:57 home and hit the gym a little bit bit
8:59 still doing a little bit of weights and
9:01 not going to do the treadmill but
9:02 starting tomorrow gu I get back on the
9:04 treadmill and do the treadmill the rest
9:05 of the rest of the month and then go
9:08 back into the running and I got to
9:10 really put it into the Universe I need
9:11 to drop about 10 or 15 lbs over the next
9:13 three that's call 10 lbs over the next
9:15 three and a half weeks maybe even
9:17 more and just kind of a good tie-in
9:19 would be the opening of baseball season
9:22 spring trainings happening right now I
9:23 can call this my spring training even
9:25 though I'm not a pro baseball player
9:27 because I'm not that good and don't have
9:29 the the discipline to try to to be that
9:32 that's why other succeeded in that
9:34 Avenue and I am here trying to jog a
9:36 half mile through celebration sweating
9:38 my my tukka off and not being able to
9:41 accomplish a mile yet but it'll happen
9:45 treadmill the rest of the month also go
9:48 show a little bit of my workout routine
9:49 too I head over to the home gym and I'm
9:51 going to get on track back on track with
9:53 that and just not really be running like
9:56 I did today for another 3 weeks and till
10:00 till I get the the cardio up on the
10:02 treadmill all right over to the
10:03 homestead of course that on its own is a
10:06 nice little walk too so get my steps in
10:09 getting back over there
10:11 yeah thing is I can walk all day long
10:14 but man once I start
10:16 jogging you realize I'm a slob can't
10:20 even imagine what it would have been
10:21 like if I would attempted to run a month
10:23 ago or when I was at my heaviest like uh
10:27 6 eight months ago
10:30 I I fluctuate a lot I am nowhere near my
10:32 heaviest but I am not
10:34 thin but if I would have tried man if I
10:36 would have tried jogging a little bit
10:38 when I was at my
10:39 heaviest probably be keeled over right
10:43 there look at this line of
10:50 cars oh golfers
10:50 only I've actually never stopped to look
10:52 at that sign before fun fact you know
10:55 what I might do at some
10:57 point is do like a Brisk fast 3M walk or
11:03 even like a 2m walk just to see without
11:07 running just how brisk of a fast right
11:09 now I'm I'm walking very slow very very
11:12 slow because I'm kind of exhausted but
11:16 if I had not run granted I only ran like
11:19 what 1.3 miles at the most 1.2 miles
11:22 just then and that would just like kick
11:23 my kick my heiny but if I hadn't have
11:26 done that I feel like I'm interested to
11:28 see at walking at my normal Fast Pace if
11:31 I can walk like a
11:32 35 on concrete I know I can do on the
11:35 treadmill see what I could see if I
11:37 could walk a 15minute pace for a few
11:40 miles that would be a game changer if I
11:42 could the only reason I really haven't
11:44 weighed myself for this little 10e
11:47 duration of the weight loss and trying
11:48 to get fit get in
11:52 shape is because I just know I'll be
11:54 disappointed with what I weighed in at
11:57 prior to Dragon com which is th th by
11:59 Dragon Con last year so I'm trying to
12:01 get down at a
12:02 respectful number close to that before I
12:06 kick it into kicking another gear into
12:10 April if that makes
12:22 listening for anyone that is and it
12:22 might has even come as a it might even
12:24 come as a revelation to me as a
12:27 announcement to my brain
12:29 that maybe I am not geared at my age
12:32 weight and bad ankles and knees to be
12:37 any sort of a
12:39 jogger run I'm using the the word Runner
12:41 very it's a run Disney event but it's
12:43 basically going to be a a bris Jog and
12:46 fast walk but maybe maybe it's not maybe
12:49 it's not cut out for me but I won't know
12:51 till I try going to give it the old
12:53 College try even though
12:55 I'm considerably older than someone that
12:57 should be in college because when I
12:59 started jogging a bit
13:02 ago when I first started doing that
13:04 first Mile and I only made it about
13:07 3/4 when I first took those first 10 15
13:12 Steps I thought to myself oh holy
13:16 F this is not going
13:20 to this is not what I expected just
13:23 looked it up again 181 days from now to
13:26 the start of the Run Disney event marath
13:29 on
13:30 weekend 2 Days Later is the race High
13:32 men it's on a Sunday it is a half
13:35 marathon 181 days is up to
13:39 the the start of the 5K then the next
13:42 day is the 10K and then there's the half
13:44 marathon 156 days until I'm 50 there's a
14:03 that was awesome look how cute this
14:03 house is love it love
14:07 it all right I'm going to try another
14:09 little quick little jog. 3 miles from
14:12 here at nadina place at West Park Drive
14:17 over to the Catholic church3 miles I'm
14:21 going to have a little little
14:27 jog

14:34 oh I can feel it my legs those first two

14:49 there I felt like a little less than3
14:52 that's probably between 2 and3
14:55 nonetheless I feel like the walking

15:01 work also I went a little slower Pace on

15:08 think that first temp that first mile I
15:11 think I was going a little too fast I
15:13 think that winded me a little I think
15:15 that started off the whole thing not in
15:17 a positive light hard to believe it's
15:20 only about 10 days from right now give
15:21 or take to St Patty's Day this year is
15:24 already starting to be in full swing I'm
15:26 going to need the Luck of the Irish I'm
15:28 going to need the the rainbow to the
15:29 gold the health
15:31 gold almost said
15:33 gold a goal and gold really luck has
15:37 nothing to do with it it's just putting
15:38 on the work something I have not done
15:40 for a long
15:42 time getting
15:52 there yeah so starting tomorrow back on
15:52 the treadmill back in the home gym here
15:54 I always like to do about an hour I
15:56 usually watch some TV episodes or some
15:58 movies if it's a full movie I'll watch
16:00 half a movie One Day half a movie the
16:02 next and if it's like an episode I'll
16:04 watch a couple episodes of a show right
16:06 on there for the next
16:08 month and got to show a few workouts
16:11 that I use I don't think this is the
16:13 best weight bench that there is but it
16:16 it's okay I'm not trying to do anything
16:17 like heavy lifting but one day if I ever
16:20 get up to that I might need a sturdier
16:23 weight bench and a and a better barbell
16:26 system as far as the one across there
16:28 but mostly I just do like the free
16:31 weight curls they are the treadmill and
16:34 then I just love this this thing right
16:36 here which I really need to get back on
16:39 back on track with this because I really
16:41 like the leg lift so I'll kind of show
16:44 what I do those I'm a big fan of not a
16:46 fan but I'm big into the three or four
16:50 sets of 15 routine so anything 15 you
16:53 know uh reps 15 reps whatever the weight
16:57 is or leg lifts or anything what I mean
17:00 this thing will really put things in
17:01 perspective as
17:03 well
17:05 basically put your feet up on here and
17:09 then you put your back against here and
17:10 then you just do the leg lift working
17:12 your legs and your
17:36 you do 15 of those kind of walk around a
17:36 little bit catch your breath and then
17:37 get right back on and do three more and
17:40 normally I will have music playing pping
17:43 through the Bluetooth but the music's on
17:46 my phone and I'm filming on my phone
17:47 right now so you just kind of take a
17:49 break catch your
17:55 breath again I'm no expert on any of
17:55 this but I just love how it works I love
17:59 all the areas that it works without
18:00 having to do crunches cuz my back is not
18:03 geared for
18:25 crunches oh yeah feel it right there
18:25 nice and then as far as the curls go
18:28 just got three sets of those as well now
18:31 I've learned just from you know people
18:33 giving their their thoughts as well when
18:35 they see me doing stuff I'll kind of
18:37 take the good with the bad constructive
18:39 criticism that when you do curls you
18:42 should go slow so I do three sets of
18:45 these of
18:59 15 already lost track I think that's
18:59 five
19:03 six
19:06 seven
19:08 7
19:33 so basically three sets of
19:33 those three times just like three times
19:37 on that and then I'll do some some bench
19:39 press and stuff you get the idea and
19:42 trust me I'm not in any way shape or
19:44 form trying to pretend that I'm in shape
19:46 cuz I'm not also when I open the garage
19:49 door every time I pull the mini Marge
19:51 out all these leaves blow up
19:53 so this leaves always in
19:57 here

20:19 run three times as two or three times
20:21 faster than what I would normally walk
20:23 quickly at but I almost feel like that's
20:27 it slowed down the walking if I do a
20:29 half run half walk I'm walking at about
20:31 a third the pace cuz I'm tired I almost
20:34 feel like it's like toris in the
20:36 hairstyle what if I just brisly walk
20:39 jogged the whole way instead of
20:42 attempting to run that's why I'm
20:43 thinking now cuz I noticed when I did
20:45 that first almost that first mile 3/4 of
20:48 a mile four fifths of a mile and then I
20:50 did that other almost 4 fths of a mile
20:53 and the other three three 1/3 of a mile
20:57 when I went to walk
20:58 I was walking very slow I was trying to
21:01 like regain my
21:04 myself so I don't know I feel like I
21:06 could walk a pretty good Pace without
21:09 running I got a few weeks to I got got a
21:12 few months to the side but yeah anyway
21:14 just thinking out loud
