0:22 now there's a little little asterisk on
0:25 that fact
0:26 because they have since torn down
0:29 the very first building here in the oc
0:32 and replace it with a
0:33 bigger version and since i have the left
0:37 when i went to florida
0:39 i believe it was april don't quote me on
0:41 that they have
0:42 constructed and reopened the grand
0:44 opening of this
0:46 in and out that's a lot of in and out
0:49 and i'm going to be consuming a meal
0:52 from here

1:48 you call it orange county
1:49 i call it the oc it's a very
1:53 heated debate on what it's called
1:55 sometimes i say the oc but
1:57 i'm not from california so i'm allowed
2:00 yeah so you can say it either or i could
2:02 say it either or all right let's get in

2:04 let's get in there and out of there

2:12 i'm not going to do that but i am going

2:20 now the old building was more or less in
2:23 the same exact spot
2:25 except they have kind of redecorated the
2:27 landscape
2:28 through here they took the old building
2:30 down the drive-through went
2:32 kind of that way a little more than it
2:34 did before now the drive-through
2:36 is over there there are two
2:38 drive-through lanes now
2:40 as opposed to the one that was there
2:43 before
2:44 and there's some outside seating the
2:47 double-double is always a go-to
2:49 for me i really like the landscaping
2:50 through here it almost looks like a
2:52 dried up riverbed
2:53 like a river would go right through this
2:56 section
2:58 i do love in and out and i have not been
3:01 i don't count how many times i'm going
3:03 to say the words of this establishment
3:05 i'm going to try to say it anymore
3:06 of this establishment so far it's
3:08 probably already been a baker's dozen
3:10 that i have stated the name of this
3:12 established and
3:14 there's always crisscrossing palm trees
3:17 which i have heard
3:19 is because the creator of this
3:21 establishment
3:22 loved the movie it's a mad mad mad mad
3:24 world where
3:25 the treasure was hidden under a big w
3:33 i can't confirm that 100 but there's
3:33 always a criss-crossing
3:35 tree in front of
3:38 you know the name of the place in front
3:40 of in front of this establishment
3:43 and this one is no exception however
3:45 when i was here before
3:47 the criss-crossing trees were kind of
3:49 over here where the parking lot is
3:51 so they have moved this iconic
3:55 which almost like almost acts as like a
3:57 beacon to pull in oh the drive-through
4:00 it's kind of neat how the
4:01 drive-through's set up it goes it kind
4:03 of just dumps out onto bristol here
4:06 and wraps all the way around very
4:08 efficient but we're going to choose i'm
4:10 going to say we're going to go in
4:11 but there is no inside there is no
4:14 indoor dining here
4:15 look at this there's no indoor seating
4:18 it's just a walk-up window
4:21 and some seats outside so it looks like
4:23 we're going to be eating outdoors
4:25 man i'm okay with that and the in the
4:27 socal
4:29 socal elements all right let's go order
4:32 some food
4:33 when they grow they start going vertical
4:36 oh as they grow taller they're going to
4:37 kind of bend inwardly
4:42 that's a possibility there's also some
4:42 smaller palm trees here
4:44 and there's the sign like the the neon
4:47 sign
4:48 that could be the sign that was here
4:50 before when they tore the old version
4:51 down
4:52 maybe they mounted the old neon right
4:54 there on the side of the wall possibly
4:57 just kind of making that up in my head
4:58 but i think that'd be pretty neat if
4:59 that was the case
5:05 and the menu is very simple they don't
5:05 don't have a
5:06 a ton of options make it very simple and
5:08 quick for ordering you get a number one
5:10 a double double french fries and a
5:12 medium drink that might be my go-to and
5:13 then i'm on an animal style
5:15 so it'd be eight dollars and 30 cents
5:17 the number one on and then the animal
5:19 style is probably a little bit more
5:21 and i'll probably get a i'll get a soda
5:23 but then i also probably get a milkshake
5:25 we get the milkshake after we should get
5:26 the meal first yeah
5:28 and then come back we'll eat over there
5:30 at the picnic tables
5:31 and then come back and get the milkshake
5:33 after the fact
5:38 but if you want just a double double
5:38 without the meal four dollars and 45
5:40 cents
5:41 and a double double would be double meat
5:43 and double cheese
5:45 now they do have a secret menu that is
5:47 not listed on here and animal style is
5:49 part of the secret menu it's one of the
5:51 more
5:51 common popular secret menus but there's
5:54 a there's a more
5:55 in-depth secret menu more than animal
5:57 style that
5:58 i've covered that before so i'm not
5:59 going to get it today i'm just going to
6:00 go with the traditional double double
6:02 and
6:03 animal style fries they are now
6:05 preparing the meal
6:06 we're gonna walk across here so it says

6:10 crosswalk it also says watch for moving

6:14 one thing i am noticing the the weight
6:16 area over here
6:17 it's it's not very large there's not a
6:19 lot of space in the weight area so we've
6:20 kind of crossed over

7:08 that in the kitchen they are preparing a
7:10 meal
7:11 that will kind of give a little
7:14 excitement to your taste buds
7:15 that's what's happening right now as i'm
7:17 waiting at even more
7:19 i am more craving and getting a little
7:22 appetite since ordering the meal you can
7:26 see how there's two different
7:28 kind of like bottlenecks together where
7:30 you go out the same exit
7:33 out to drive through so more efficient
7:36 than the the last place
7:37 now next to this is an empty field
7:40 which i had assumed is where the
7:42 internet was going to be but i guess the
7:43 property line starts stops right there
7:46 nonetheless i am ready to have a meal
7:49 also noticing not only is this area here
7:51 the waiting area kind of very enclosed
7:54 and not a whole heck of a lot of room
7:57 but there's also not a whole heck of a
7:58 lot of shade now which is not good for
8:01 me
8:02 it's not good for you no no you don't
8:03 like the sun you could have had a ball
8:05 cap on
8:06 yeah i could i should have brought
8:07 protect you from those rays and you have
8:09 to be very patient
8:10 because they make it fresh yep which is
8:13 a good thing you don't want something

8:15 under the burner for a while they're
8:17 making it fresh while you're waiting

8:21 fresh burgers
8:28 yours without a butt nope just got the
8:28 proteins done i actually upped the ante

8:32 so what you're making up with lack of

8:35 you're more having extra meat you could

8:38 the bread be the buns and the lettuce be
8:41 the burger
8:42 then you'd have an extra patty because

11:00 sun but over here there's a couple that
11:02 are kind of shattered out so maybe we

11:10 way from everything and uh there is no
11:12 indoors yeah no indoors whatsoever in
11:14 fact the restrooms are
11:15 the doors are on the outside and this
11:17 kind of shows the perspective here of

11:19 the drive-through as it goes around
11:22 pretty long drive-through line
11:28 yeah the two lanes gave us the napkins
11:28 they kind of well the napkins is
11:30 kind of festering over into the here's a
11:33 clean one into the double double
11:34 kind of sort of clean oh yeah i'm gonna
11:38 make a mess nonetheless even without the
11:39 napkins got the cheese
11:41 the secret sauce this one has some salt
11:43 on it they put quite a bit of salt on
11:45 oh they didn't sprinkle it on there but
11:47 the packet they just literally put it on
11:48 there put it on there
11:49 got a little extra salt here so this is
11:52 animal style
11:53 this is non-animal style i got the
11:55 animal style so this must be your fry
11:57 yeah
11:58 and they had the wherewithal to give a
12:00 silverware because i'm going to need
12:01 this for the animal style
12:03 and this is the protein style you know
12:06 i'm going to ask for an extra box
12:08 you want to get an extra box yeah that's
12:09 smart get an extra box we'll get an

12:11 i'll continue showing off this is the

12:23 really the only thing that sets this
12:24 aside is the fact that

12:46 at the grand opening but any chance to

12:50 especially after returning from from
12:52 florida
12:53 it's kind of a nice welcome back so
12:55 you're gonna use that as a plate
12:57 yes a makeshift plate for your protein

13:36 and let me state that i wouldn't say
13:39 in and out is the best hamburger ever

13:42 no but it's pretty dang close
13:45 but what sets it aside
13:49 is just kind of the the vibe of it
13:52 it's a california thing i feel like i'm
13:55 back to my home in california when
13:56 i eat it now yeah

18:19 like on my burger i got the sliced

20:14 interesting assuming that that
20:18 date stamp is correct i mean i hope they
