0:13 day a day that we honor and celebrate
0:16 those who gave us the freedom to sit in

0:21 fountain to do whatever it is we do and
0:25 that we take for granted for like
0:27 vlogging you watching this me filming
0:29 this roaming around with a free spirit
0:33 and a free attitude and that attitude
0:36 and that Spirit would not exist if it
0:39 not if it not if it were not for a heck
0:43 of a lot of people who served in the
0:45 military so this day is for you happy
0:48 Memorial Day to those out there it's my
0:51 second channel daily blog channel it's
0:53 the daily woo and I want to talk about
0:57 commitment and dedication and making
1:01 promises and keeping promises and why
1:05 this is a very important thing when it
1:06 comes to keeping promises making
1:10 promises and more importantly keeping
1:12 promises to others that we make promises
1:16 to we should also more importantly make
1:20 promises and keep promises to ourselves
1:24 the number one person in our lives us me
1:29 you whoever you are you are the person
1:33 who has to actually go through life and
1:35 fulfill the promises and the hopes and
1:39 the dreams and the aspirations that you
1:41 have set for yourself so as important as
1:44 everyone else is to keep those promises
1:47 too we should always keep those promises
1:50 but do not forget about yourself and
1:54 that's what the title of this Vlog is
1:55 going to be keeping promises and making
1:59 promises I guess making promises would
2:01 come first and then keeping them second
2:03 so the title of this Vlog will be making
2:06 and keeping promises to yourself now
2:09 what does that mean in the grand scheme
2:12 of things as the whole universe goes
2:15 around a lot of people have this
2:17 philosophy that whatever we do what was
2:20 the thing a few years ago YOLO you only
2:23 live once when I first heard of this
2:25 YOLO thing I got very excited thinking
2:27 man people are starting to latch on to
2:29 this you only live once philosophy
2:32 thinking that we should go out and grab
2:35 the world in the palm of our hands and
2:38 Conquer our dreams I realized that this
2:41 YOLO thing that was so popular with
2:43 teenagers and even adults was actually
2:46 based on a song and it really had
2:49 nothing the the connotation had nothing
2:51 to do with actually going for your
2:52 dreams it actually was more of a
2:54 negative connotation like YOLO let's do
2:57 bad things let's get drunk let's go out
2:59 and party let's do things that are not
3:01 actually going to actually help our
3:04 lives and accomplish dreams so that
3:05 actually kind of bummed me out a little
3:07 bit with the whole YOLO thing a few
3:09 years ago I don't really know if that is
3:11 how it started but that is basically how
3:13 it eventually evolved and became this
3:16 whole YOLO phenomenon but we should
3:19 actually summon the real meaning of you
3:22 only live once and by only living one
3:25 time we should definitely try to
3:27 accomplish what it is that we set our
3:29 mind to so that brings me to the point
3:32 of making promises to yourself and
3:36 keeping them okay if you have kept up
3:38 with this Vlog so far I'm very all over
3:40 the place but since today is Memorial
3:43 Day it made me think that there were so
3:46 many people who dedicated themselves to
3:50 the cause of protecting us of giving us
3:54 freedom that we have and I thought this
3:56 was a interesting tie in for this vlog
3:59 making promises and keeping them to
4:03 ourselves now like I was saying in the
4:05 grand scheme of things the whole
4:06 universe that is out there a lot of
4:08 people will say no matter what we do in
4:11 the grand scheme of things in the grand
4:14 scheme of time and the universe the
4:16 little tidbit things that we do will
4:19 honestly not matter and there is a
4:21 degree of Truth to that because once we
4:24 are passed on once we are dead and gone
4:27 and completely out of the circle of life
4:32 let's say 500 years ago 500 years from
4:34 now 500 years thousand years from now
4:38 the little things that we do like
4:40 picking a piece of leaf off of there
4:43 will not matter little things like that
4:45 but they do matter to one particular
4:48 person currently and that current person
4:51 is you and me
4:53 so I'm getting off track making promises
4:57 to yourself and keeping them today
4:59 ladies and gentlemen is 60 days of me
5:03 only drinking water I have not had
5:06 coffee I have not had tea I have not had
5:08 milk more importantly I have not had
5:10 soda and specifically I have not had the
5:13 nectar of goodness known as Mountain Dew
5:16 I have been craving a Mountain Dew not
5:18 so much as I was a few weeks ago six
5:21 weeks in I'm trying to go a little under
5:23 n weeks there's a dog barking over there
5:26 I don't know where the dog barking is
5:29 coming from
5:30 from maybe up top or it's a ghost dog
5:34 where is a dog I see no dog but I hear
5:36 the dog
5:38 barking okay the
5:41 dog is no longer
5:43 barking that's very interesting the dog
5:45 is no longer
5:47 barking oh you can hear it again there
5:49 he
5:55 is very strange I see no dog but I hear
5:55 I hear a dog probably on the top floor
5:58 of that building
6:00 okay I digress go back to the topic at
6:02 hand making promises and keeping them to
6:05 ourselves so I'm going to talk about me
6:07 for a moment water here 60 days I'm
6:12 trying to go for a 60-day challenge of
6:14 drinking only water I am 6 weeks in so I
6:18 am day 42 which just so happens to be
6:21 the longest period in my adult life
6:24 probably since I was
6:26 17ish maybe even old younger than that
6:29 so probably been longer than that that I
6:30 have gone that many days with only
6:32 drinking water and not having soda or
6:34 not having tea nothing has been through
6:38 this body when it comes to a beverage
6:41 style drink other than water so this is
6:45 a promise this is a promise that I made
6:48 to myself and this is a promise I am
6:50 keeping to myself now if I was to have a
6:52 soda it would probably not hurt anything
6:55 it would not hinder this diet thing that
6:57 I am doing currently at the moment but I
7:00 would know and the way my mental
7:02 capacity works and my motivation works
7:05 is based on me keeping promises making
7:08 promises and keeping promises to myself
7:10 even something so insignificant to most
7:13 people is very important to me when I
7:15 say something I like to keep my word it
7:18 actually helps me stay motivated as well
7:20 as on the subject at hand but as well as
7:23 also in the general aspect of life it
7:26 keeps me motiv motivated in other areas
7:28 of life so this simple thing of only
7:30 drinking water for 6 weeks on route to
7:34 this 60-day challenge that I have set up
7:36 I told you guys that I was going to do
7:38 60 days in a row with only drinking
7:41 water and I have stuck to it so far I
7:44 only have three less than 3 weeks left
7:47 before I hit this 60-day Challenge and
7:48 I'm feeling super good and it's because
7:52 I set a goal and I'm sticking to my goal
7:54 I've made a promise to myself and I am
7:56 keeping it and it makes me feel super
7:58 super awesome and super super motivated
8:01 so even in the grand scheme of things
8:03 from your point of view it might not
8:04 seem important but for me it's keeping
8:07 me very motivated the second thing oh by
8:10 the way when it comes to the water thing
8:12 I did the 24-hour Disney video which you
8:14 can actually see over on the atam of the
8:15 woo Channel I did not drink any soda any
8:21 coffee nothing all I had for the entire
8:24 24-hour duration was this beautiful
8:27 nectar of goodness water
8:34 it was actually not as difficult as I
8:34 thought it was going to be which brings
8:35 me to the point as a big of a fan of
8:37 caffeine as I am and Mountain Dew and
8:39 coffee and all that stuff you can still
8:41 survive without it once your body is
8:43 used to water you feel a lot better and
8:47 really you do not get any less tired now
8:49 first of course the first week when you
8:50 have the caffeine withdraws two weeks in
8:52 3 weeks in you are still going to need
8:54 to rely on that caffeine but I think I
8:57 have proved something through this goal
9:00 that I am setting for myself that you
9:02 really do not need caffeine to survive
9:04 in day-to-day life as interesting as
9:07 that is I'm trying to take my habits
9:10 cast them aside now I am going to
9:12 divulge of coffee in the future I am
9:14 going to consume more Mountain Dew as
9:17 time goes on but I'm trying to break the
9:20 Habit that way when I go back to
9:21 drinking these items it will be more of
9:23 a celebratory beverage so occasionally
9:27 maybe every couple of days I will have a
9:28 Mountain Dew maybe every few days I will
9:30 have a coffee it will be more of an
9:32 enjoyment thing and not a habit that's
9:35 what this whole making a promise to
9:37 myself about breaking my habits keeping
9:41 those promises to myself is all about so
9:44 first subject has been wiped out I told
9:46 you about this 60-day
9:49 challenge I'm 6 weeks into this 9 week
9:53 Plateau that I'm trying to accomplish
9:55 the second one is this no social media
9:59 PR promise that I have made to myself
10:01 and I am keeping it I am one week into I
10:04 have not posted anything on Twitter
10:06 Instagram or Facebook and let me tell
10:08 you it is very very difficult because I
10:11 have had an exciting week I got to hang
10:13 out with one of my Idols when it comes
10:16 to entertaining when I started doing
10:17 videos years and years ago I emulated
10:21 myself after Mr Tom Green and I got to
10:24 hang out with the one and only Tom Green
10:27 the other day and even more cool as I
10:28 got to hang out with Tom Green and Andy
10:30 Dick who also is a very funny and a heck
10:33 of a nice guy I must say Andy Dick is a
10:35 super super nice guy if you ever get the
10:37 chance to meet him he's super cool super
10:40 down to earth and super nice so I had to
10:41 hang out with those two guys the entire
10:43 day I did not take any pictures to put
10:45 on Instagram or Twitter or Facebook and
10:48 you might be thinking well this would be
10:49 a good reason to break your promise to
10:51 yourself to break this promise you made
10:53 to yourself and not keep that promise
10:55 you made to yourself and you made I made
10:57 to you guys by talking about the 30-day
11:02 no social network Thing by posting
11:05 pictures of me hanging out or videos of
11:07 me and Andy Dick and Tom Green but I did
11:10 not why because I made a promise to
11:12 myself and I kept this promise to myself
11:15 and I made a promise to you guys by not
11:16 posting on those social networks been
11:19 very difficult but I'm sticking to my
11:21 guns I made a promise to myself and I'm
11:23 keeping the promise to myself and what
11:25 does this do it keeps me motivated makes
11:29 me think that I can actually stick to my
11:31 guns and accomplish things I do not give
11:35 up on what I have set out to do so we
11:38 are one week into this 30-day no Twitter
11:41 no Facebook no
11:43 Instagram mentality that I have created
11:46 now I will go back after this 30-day
11:48 sabatical from no social networks and I
11:51 will actually start posting stuff on
11:53 Instagram and Facebook and Twitter again
11:56 a little less than I was before but I'm
11:58 trying to break this habit just like
12:01 with the water I'm trying to not have
12:03 any major addictions and habits that
12:05 control my life and social media was
12:08 definitely controlling my life on a
12:10 little side note little footnote I
12:12 actually enjoy not posting as much on
12:14 Twitter Facebook and Instagram and
12:15 actually when I say as much I mean at
12:17 all I have not posted anything in a week
12:19 if you go over to my Facebook Instagram
12:21 and Twitter page you will see no replies
12:23 no likes no posts by me for the last
12:26 week which is another thing I have not
12:27 done in years I had been using those
12:30 social networks for a super long time so
12:33 it's actually cool to actually cleanse
12:34 myself with the water and with the
12:36 social media social network experiment
12:39 there's a new social media called
12:42 Periscope Justin scar has been using it
12:44 Tom Green was using it the other day
12:46 when I was hanging out with him and also
12:48 Andy Dick was using it and these
12:50 gentlemen have actually convinced me to
12:51 actually start using Periscope but I am
12:53 not allowed because I made a promise to
12:55 myself and I'm keeping a promise to
12:56 myself in no social networks to not use
12:59 Periscope until the end of this 30-day
13:01 deal so we have 3 weeks left until you
13:03 will see me posting on Periscope Adam
13:06 the woo on Periscope I created a
13:09 periscope account just so I could watch
13:11 what Tom Green was filming while he was
13:13 filming it and it's very interesting
13:15 Periscope is cool because you can film
13:17 look at these
13:20 cars it's old truck an old car Periscope
13:24 is cool because it's kind of like
13:25 vlogging but it's live so instead of me
13:28 having to film this and then upload it
13:30 Periscope I can do a little 10 or 15 or
13:32 30 second video or a 5 minute video but
13:36 it's live so if you add me on that
13:37 Periscope app even though I will not be
13:39 posting anything for the next 3 weeks
13:40 until this promise I made to myself has
13:42 been
13:43 fulfilled after that you will be able to
13:46 chime in and I will see what you guys
13:48 are commenting on just Google Periscope
13:50 and you'll see kind of what it is so I
13:52 will have a periscope account very soon
13:56 I do have one I just have not posted
13:58 anything yet but if you want to get a

14:04 keeping Facebook Instagram and Twitter
14:07 but for now I'm sticking to my guns The
14:10 Social Network now this video is not
14:11 about anything in particular I just
14:14 figured on this Memorial Day it would be
14:16 nice to just roam around show you a nice
14:19 park talk about the subject that is at
14:22 hand keeping our promises making
14:26 promises to oursel and I encourage you
14:28 you should actually have some goals you
14:30 should have some aspirations and
14:32 promises that you make for yourself and
14:35 also keep to yourself they can be very
14:39 very minute they could be something as
14:41 simple as I'm actually going to work on
14:43 my flower garden once a week and
14:46 beautify the front of my house it could
14:48 also be I'm going to go around the
14:49 neighborhood and I'm going to pick up
14:51 trash at 5:00 p.m. every single day or I
14:55 am going to actually build a model I
14:58 have not built a model in a long time
15:00 I'm going to build a model a week for
15:02 the next year that way I will have 52
15:05 models at the end of the year and by
15:07 setting these goals for yourself you do
15:10 not have to choose any of the three
15:11 things that I just said I'm just using
15:13 those as examples you do not have to go
15:16 on a water diet you do not have to
15:17 cleanse yourself of social networks like
15:19 I did you do not have to do any of the
15:22 things I suggested do what you feel is
15:25 necessary to break habits make those
15:28 promis to yourself not forever but for a
15:31 short amount of time set a time frame up
15:35 and when you have reached that time
15:37 frame no matter how far it is a week two
15:39 months a year whatever that time frame
15:41 is once you reach that you can say to
15:44 yourself I actually accomplished my goal
15:49 of what I set out to do and by these
15:52 minute tiny tiny things that are so
15:55 unimportant to the universe in the grand
15:59 scheme of things and so unimportant to
16:01 others they are very important to what
16:04 we do to what we how it makes us feel
16:08 and after you have accomplished your
16:10 said goal your set time frame goal once
16:13 you hit that plateau and accomplish it
16:16 you can say to yourself I did it and
16:19 this keeps you motivated and on track to
16:21 accomplish other goals that aren't so
16:24 small other bigger goals the next
16:26 Plateau will be this big the next
16:28 plateau toe will be this big and then
16:30 it's humongous you never know what you
16:33 can accomplish but you have to start
16:35 small SM small plateaus and eventually
16:38 you will be able to accomplish anything
16:41 put your mind to it you can accomplish
16:43 anything just like George MCL said and
16:45 when you're done with this Plateau when
16:47 you've reached that Pinnacle then you
16:49 can go home and sleep well
