0:03 Welcome everyone. A little little gym
0:03 went by. Another gym. I think that might
0:05 have been an E. That might have been an
0:06 E2. Possibly an E4. Welcome everyone.
0:13 Adam's a woo here as the recording of
0:13 this TGIF. Something's going on over
0:16 there. It is Friday. What is the date
0:19 today? November 21st,
0:22 2020. If I got distracted by the barking
0:24 dogs this time tomorrow. Oh my gosh,
0:26 look.
0:29 That's Lightning McQueen.
0:31 You never know what's going to pop up in
0:34 Celebration of Florida. I'm inviting you
0:36 to join me for my final day here in town
0:39 for the next month. I'm going
0:41 international.
0:44 This time tomorrow, I will be on my
0:45 first of two flights. I have a
0:47 connecting flight and then going
0:49 overseas,
0:51 vastly overseas
0:54 to another international destination
0:56 that I have never been to. I also
0:58 trimmed, shaved, did not film a a video
1:02 yesterday, so skipped a day here on the
1:05 Daily Woo. I would probably say I
1:09 probably upload and film 350
1:14 355 days a year. But every once in a
1:17 while,
1:18 I'll pepper in a day where I where I
1:22 don't do that. I've gotten better at,
1:24 you know, taking days to not to not do
1:26 that. But usually only do that when I'm
1:28 home, when I'm traveling, when I'm on
1:30 the road. Always consistent.
1:33 Nonetheless, let me get some coffee. Got
1:35 some things to talk about. I'm inviting
1:37 you to join me. Shall you?
1:40 Probably pull over momentarily.
1:43 Order a coffee. Mobile order a coffee.
1:45 Downtown Celebration, which is just on
1:47 the other side of these trees. Looking
1:50 for any gators. Haven't seen any gators.
1:52 Nonetheless, cool. A tiny gator that
1:54 floats around. Oh. Whoa. Whoa. Oh,
1:58 ask and you shall receive. Right over
2:01 there
2:03 is a little gator. Barely see right in
2:06 the center of the screen. Hello.
2:08 >> Can I be in the video?
2:15 >> No.
2:15 Right in the center of the screen
2:22 is a gator.
2:22 I don't know who that was that came went
2:24 by.
2:28 This is the town hall. It's under
2:28 construction. They are repurposing the
2:31 town hall. Going be nice when that's all
2:34 finished. Finally got some got some work
2:36 going on up. Acquired a spot down here
2:38 even though a lot of the roads are
2:39 already starting to be blocked off with
2:40 the building of the upcoming Christmas
2:42 tree. Should be able to show that. I'm
2:44 going to miss out on the first few weeks
2:47 of the snow.
2:49 Also, temperature right now
2:52 is a balmy
2:54 82 degrees, mostly sunny. It's 130 right
2:58 now. Now, where I'm going to be going is
3:00 going to be considerably cooler than
3:03 here.
3:05 Take that number
3:07 and knock off quite a few degrees. I'm
3:09 going somewhere cooler than Florida will
3:12 be in the next three I'll be gone about
3:14 four weeks. Multiple countries.
3:18 Well, I'll go ahead and say it. I'm
3:19 going to two countries I have not been
3:20 to.
3:22 Three countries total. Two I have not
3:26 been to before before coming back home.
3:29 About a week week or so before
3:30 Christmas, give or take a day. So, gone
3:32 about four weeks. And this will probably
3:35 starting tomorrow or once I land.
3:38 Tomorrow's a travel day. But when I get
3:39 to where I'm going, it'll be cooler than
3:41 this most guaranteed. Cheers to my last
3:44 piping hot caffeinated beverage at the
3:46 Celebration Starbucks for over a month.
3:49 Yeah, see the roads are all blocked off
3:50 over there. This road's not blocked off,
3:53 but
3:54 a few of them are preparing.
3:57 Getting ready for the Christmas season.
3:59 It's beginning to look a lot like
4:01 Thanks. All right, it's certainly Oh,
4:04 motorcycle going by. Scooter going by.
4:07 Tree is up. I can see it over there
4:08 peeking around the corner. You can see
4:10 it right over there peeking around the
4:12 corner of
4:15 Market Street. I almost said Monster
4:17 Street for some reason, but Marcus
4:18 Street. That's why I'm going to say
4:19 Market Street. Yeah, I was just down
4:20 here what a couple days ago and they
4:22 were setting the tree up. You can see
4:23 the skeleton of it, but now it is
4:25 completely finished. Wonder if the ice
4:27 skating rink out the fake ice skating
4:29 rink. Every Sunday the streets are
4:30 blocked off for the Art Flea Farmers
4:33 Market. Well, it's more of a farmers
4:34 market, a farmer and art market. But
4:37 then all year long, well every year
4:40 starting in mid November to probably the
4:43 first week of January where they take
4:44 the tree down. So for like a good solid
4:48 6 weeks, the streets here next to the
4:51 Bank of America, next to the Thai
4:53 restaurant are all blocked off by the
4:56 post office. You can park elsewhere and
4:57 walk over here. You cannot park or drive
5:00 on Market Street. Not sure have proper
5:04 credentials or
5:06 supposed to be here, but I'm noticing
5:09 this is kind of this is really a good
5:12 development. They seem to be have some
5:13 workers out that are putting some sort
5:17 of a new stansion system into the the
5:20 forefront of Market Street. And
5:22 basically what I'm just going off of,
5:24 I'm guessing that what it's going to be
5:26 is one of the type of deals where they
5:28 pop up through the ground on both sides
5:31 of the road that secure a safety
5:34 precaution so people cannot drive up the
5:36 road. And I would imagine when that's
5:38 finished here in the next week or so
5:40 before they start doing the first slope
5:42 that they'll have the little cylinders
5:44 pop up which will stop motor vehicles
5:47 from driving down Market Street.
5:50 update. Construction update. It's got to
5:53 be what it is. I was also noticing as I
5:55 was walking around downtown that they
5:56 have restructured
5:58 and reset up the placement of where some
6:01 of the holiday stuff is going to be. The
6:04 ice skating rink they moved over in
6:06 front of the old theater. It's no longer
6:07 in use. And they have moved Santa's
6:10 cabin where it used to be in front of
6:12 Starbucks. They moved that on the back
6:13 side of the Christmas tree.
6:16 I think honestly I think the new setup
6:18 is going to be way better as far as the
6:20 crowds that really start to make their
6:22 influx down here from now until
6:24 Christmas.
6:26 At the very end of the month is when
6:28 they do I saw a flyer at the end of the
6:29 month is when they start doing the snow
6:31 and it is a beehive of activity down
6:33 here. So I think the the new setup would
6:35 be really good for know crowd control
6:37 and crowd redispersing
6:39 based on some of the the previous
6:42 placement of how it was.
6:45 So, you got the fountain over here and
6:48 they are dispersing the crowds by having
6:56 the fake, it's not real ice obviously
6:56 because it's Florida, but the fake
6:58 plastic ice
7:00 for the ice skating over there in front
7:01 of the old theater.
7:03 Good idea.
7:08 I'll be here I'll be here to catch at
7:08 least one weekend of it before New
7:11 Year's. if not before Christmas, before
7:15 New Year's,
7:17 most likely.
7:22 So, I've been doing some thinking about
7:22 next year. I mean, I know I haven't even
7:25 completed the rest of the travels for
7:26 2025, but I'm already looking forward to
7:29 2026. There's a a slight buildup of
7:35 green film across the top of the water
7:38 here,
7:40 top of Lake Reinhardt.
7:44 So, I got some international stuff
7:45 coming up which I'm really looking
7:46 forward to. But I am really looking
7:48 forward to 2026. Getting in the car and
7:51 doing a lot of road trips. And I want to
7:53 I haven't timed out when each road is
7:55 going to be, but I'm going to give a
7:57 little teaser of what I'm thinking for
7:58 26. There's a turtle right here. Look.
8:02 Is that a snapping turtle?
8:06 I don't know if I want to get too close.
8:07 It looks like it might be a snapping
8:08 one.
8:11 You awake down there.
8:13 He's eyeballing me.
8:29 Stated this before, but I'm going to
8:29 reiterate and repeat myself. The last
8:31 few years I've kind of gone off the
8:33 rails with the type of stuff that I used
8:36 to do. I'm reeling it back in in 26, if
8:39 not going above and beyond some of the
8:42 type of stuff I used to do in the past
8:44 when I used to do the back road stuff,
8:46 small town stuff, the highways and
8:48 byways across America years ago.
8:51 Sometimes I would just kind of go
8:52 aimlessly and not really be in a any
8:54 sort of direct route, not really have a
8:56 game plan. And I kind of want to have a
8:58 point A to point B and do a lot of the
9:01 US highways,
9:03 bunches of the US highways next year.
9:06 And the only thing that's really going
9:08 to be a deterrent on which ones I do at
9:10 certain times is going to be the weather
9:12 because obviously starting in January,
9:13 February, even in March, some of the
9:15 northern states, it's a little rough to
9:17 drive with ice and snow. So, I have to
9:19 balance that out. But I do want to kind
9:21 of share some of my ideas that have been
9:23 floating around the head the last few
9:25 weeks since I started really, you know,
9:27 getting into the thought process of us
9:29 in 2026. 250th anniversary of the United
9:34 States of America. I'm here for it. This
9:36 is such a great path around the lake.
9:39 Downtown Celebration off in the
9:41 distance.
9:42 Celebration Hotel over there. Very
9:45 scenic. Love living here.
9:48 And there'll probably come a day when
9:49 I'm older that I'll be here a lot more.
9:52 But for now, while I'm healthy and I
9:54 have the ability to just constantly
9:56 travel, that's what I want to do. One
9:58 day I'll one day I'll spend a little
10:00 more time at home than I than I have
10:02 been. I love that you can even see the
10:03 tippy top of the Christmas tree down
10:05 Market Street. Again, the zoom on this
10:07 isn't the best, but I'll try to use my
10:09 phone. That's Market Street right there.
10:11 Probably look really cool at night all
10:13 lit up. Find out when I get back. There
10:16 you go. See, I took a photo on my phone.
10:20 One thing about the camera I use, which
10:21 is the DJI Pocket 3, does not have the
10:25 greatest zoom on it, but I feel as time
10:28 goes on, they'll fix that. I feel as
10:30 time goes on, they'll get better. That
10:31 would be the one downside. Everyone's
10:33 using this now, but I think everyone has
10:34 the same issue with the zoom. I'll grab
10:36 a seat right here on this little wooden
10:37 bench. Also like how much green space
10:39 there is in Celebration. Now, they are
10:43 continuing to build past World Drive in
10:46 an area of Celebration called Island
10:48 Village. Different phases of that, but
10:50 they haven't really built any homes in
10:52 Celebration Proper, which is near
10:54 downtown, kind of in the general
10:55 vicinity where I ended up purchasing,
10:58 you know, in the close proximity to
11:00 downtown. When you get past World Drive,
11:02 that's a whole other phase, multiple
11:04 phases, and they seem to be going that
11:06 way and not really touching any of the
11:09 green space. So, it appears as if all
11:12 this for the time being is not going to
11:15 be
11:16 not going to be utilized for businesses
11:18 or homes, which is nice. A lot of green
11:21 space. Tons of green space in town. Nice
11:24 little spot here in the shade.
11:27 Always look for the shade.
11:34 So, let's fast forward to 2026. Fast
11:34 forward to
11:36 US travels
11:38 in the year approaching the 250th
11:40 anniversary of the United States of
11:42 America.
11:44 I have already started looking at
11:46 different events and things that are
11:47 happening next year and I am just
11:50 putting them all off. Next year I'm not
11:51 going to try to do any major events. And
11:54 what I mean by that is things that I
11:56 usually do year end and year out. Year
12:00 out, what am I saying? you're at you're
12:02 out conventions,
12:04 theme parky stuff
12:08 that I'm usually drawn to. Unless it
12:10 fits [music] into the fact that I am in
12:13 a spot where that's happening, I am not
12:16 making plans to do any of that next
12:18 year. Unless for some reason something's
12:21 going on while I'm home for the week or
12:23 10 days each month next year that I'm
12:26 not traveling, then I'll work that in.
12:28 But I am not putting anything on the
12:30 calendar next year as far as an event, a
12:34 specific dated event with the exception
12:38 I'm here to say the first week of July,
12:41 July 4th, I would like to be in the
12:44 Philadelphia DC area because
12:48 250th anniversary
12:56 1776 250th anniversary will be 2026
12:56 in Philly.
12:58 it makes sense that I need to be in that
13:00 region around that time. Other than
13:01 that, anything that's like, you know,
13:04 popping up in my brain, I'm just kind of
13:06 saying no to at the moment. Considerably
13:08 less Disney theme park content next year
13:12 in 26. Stated this before. Just want to
13:15 drive that point home, not only to
13:16 anyone watching, but also to this brain.
13:20 All about US travels.
13:23 Doing a lot of thorough affairs that I
13:24 have not done before in their entirety.
13:27 some that I have done little bits of but
13:30 not from point A to point B. Cross
13:32 country stuff whether it go east to
13:33 west, west to east, north to south,
13:37 south to north, etc. all that. And there
13:41 might be times that I end up in the
13:44 greater LA area on those tres, but
13:47 nothing nothing really set as far as
13:50 getting on a plane from Orlando and
13:51 going to LA. Going to try not to do that
13:53 next year. Unless that is a starting
13:55 point for a trip. Not just going to
13:58 casually get into my comfort zone by
14:00 just flying to LA the five hours and
14:02 doing LA stuff stuff for a couple of
14:04 weeks. Haven't figured out how to
14:06 balance out haunt season. It's going to
14:08 be vastly diminished to what I have done
14:11 in the past. I would like to do HHN and
14:13 not scary next year, but not opening
14:15 nights. probably do them after opening
14:18 nights as the season progresses where I
14:20 can do them back to back and not try to
14:22 do the the two week gap between the
14:24 opening nights. I'm really trying not to
14:25 spend as much time in LA from here on
14:28 out in the future. In a perfect concise
14:31 world as far as making plans goes, next
14:35 year I would like to do one road trip
14:37 every month
14:39 between 20 days to 3 weeks. Well, that's
14:43 about the same. 20 days is 21 days is 3
14:45 weeks.
14:47 Two to three weeks each month. Let's say
14:49 that I'd like to start at the beginning
14:51 of each month, go on a road trip, either
14:54 fly to the start of it or fly to the end
14:56 of it and drive back to one point or,
15:00 you know, fly to the beginning of it, go
15:02 to the end of it, and then fly home from
15:03 the end of it. crossing this great
15:07 country, the vastness,
15:11 you know, showcasing small towns and
15:12 Americana, all that.
15:15 There's a bird right over there.
15:19 And whatever's on that road, I'll show
15:21 and stop at.
15:27 >> Hello.
15:27 >> Hello, sir.
15:35 >> It'll also give me the ability
15:35 by doing a point A to point B and
15:36 staying on one specific road and not
15:38 really veering off too far
15:41 to really have a
15:43 forward motion and not just, you know,
15:46 spinning my wheels, veering off, getting
15:49 distracted, really just focusing on the
15:51 task at point A to point B, which would
15:53 be at hand. And this would also give me
15:56 the ability to take stuff with me, drop
15:58 it off, free merchandise I can drop off
16:01 at places,
16:02 maybe some little shops will let me drop
16:04 some things off and then the next day
16:06 after the video is uploaded, people can
16:08 go get some free stuff. I can do some
16:09 meetups along the way if the mood hits
16:12 me on some of these routes. It could be
16:15 a very good thing. Next year could be
16:18 really cool. Look at this classic truck
16:21 alert. Cardinal Painting Company. went
16:24 purchased a couple celebration shirts to
16:25 wear to my trip. Upcoming trip.
16:28 Celebration shirts are about to go
16:29 overseas.
16:34 Soft as a great. They always have
16:34 celebration merch right on Market
16:35 Street. Also picked up a flyer for the
16:38 events that are happening downtown.
16:40 Again, I will not be here for them, but
16:41 the first snow starts on November 29th,
16:45 27th annual. Also, they're doing an art
16:48 walk on December 13th. If you end up
16:50 coming down here for the snow and the
16:52 snow, make sure you parked in a real
16:55 parking space. I know this from
16:57 experience. If you do not park in a
17:00 regular parking space, they will tell
17:02 you. Rest assured, make sure you're in a
17:05 real parking space.
17:11 Word of warning, don't make my mistake
17:11 from a couple years ago.
17:15 Allotted parking spaces only. Can't
17:18 stress that enough. They will tell you.
17:20 I've been thinking for the Route 66 trip
17:22 which celebrates its 100th anniversary.
17:24 So 250th of America next year, US of a
17:27 250th and then 100th anniversary of
17:28 Route 66. And like I was talking about
17:31 earlier really depends on the weather
17:34 because I can't do Route 66 starting in
17:35 January because 3/4 of the route will be
17:38 ice and snow and the roads will be shut
17:39 down certain areas or too dangerous to
17:43 drive on. So, that had to be something
17:44 into probably late spring, early summer.
17:47 I'd say probably springtime, maybe even
17:50 early spring, but definitely not winter
17:51 time. But when it comes to giving away
17:54 merchandise and things like that, if
17:55 there's anything that I could leave from
17:57 here to start on one of the highways
18:00 with, I could take a bunch of stuff with
18:02 me. Trucker hats, maybe some t-shirts,
18:05 lots of pins, stickers, things like
18:07 that. Anyone that says hi along the way,
18:10 give them some free stuff. also do some
18:12 impromptu meetups. Haven't really
18:14 decided on how that's going to work. If
18:16 it's just going to be last second type
18:17 of thing, if I say, "Oh, tomorrow I'm
18:18 going to be at this spot. Anyone in the
18:20 morning stop by?" Things like that. That
18:22 is all still kind of up in the air on
18:24 how I'm going to do that. But obviously,
18:26 you know, when I do Route 66, for
18:28 example, let's say May or June, if I do
18:30 66, I'd probably fly to Chicago because
18:32 I've done it from Santa Monica to
18:34 Chicago, but never Chicago to Santa
18:35 Monica. That's been seven years ago when
18:37 I did my first the first time doing it.
18:39 This time I'd like to do it from Chicago
18:41 down. Wouldn't be able to take a lot of
18:43 merch with me simply because, you know,
18:45 I can't take three and four suitcases
18:48 full of t-shirts and things like that.
18:49 So, it'd be smaller items like pins,
18:52 stickers, things like that. That'd be
18:54 cool to come up with a really neat logo
18:56 of myself on Route 66, the emblem,
19:01 something of that nature to give away
19:03 and just, you know, print out print out
19:05 a few thousand stickers and a few
19:06 thousand buttons, 1in pens, things like
19:08 that. But anything that I'm leaving from
19:10 Florida, like let's say I was going to
19:13 do US1 starts in Key West and goes to
19:16 Maine, could rent the car here, load it
19:19 full of t-shirts and things, stickers
19:21 and pens, hats, go down to Key West,
19:24 start it there, and do the 3 week drive
19:27 up to Maine. Obviously, I wouldn't be
19:29 able to do that in the winter also
19:31 simply because, you know, we get into
19:32 Maine in January and February be pretty
19:35 rough on a rental car driving through
19:37 the icy, you know, the icy roads and
19:40 very dangerous. So, I have to probably
19:42 do that in the spring or later as well.
19:46 There's a few other few other highways
19:48 in my once I get back to the house, I'll
19:50 kind of show on the laptop the general
19:51 idea of what I have. But I do like the
19:54 idea of bringing stuff with me, dropping
19:56 it off at stores that'll let me place
19:58 stuff in the in the shops and then the
19:59 next day when people watch the video,
20:00 they can go, "Oh, we can cruise down
20:02 there and pick that up. He left that for
20:03 us for free." Kind of a fun thing I've
20:06 been kind of thinking of doing with the
20:07 with the US road trips. We'll see how it
20:09 goes. And obviously any of the the
20:12 highways that I'm going to mention I'm
20:14 going down next year. Anybody that's
20:15 along those has a small business or
20:17 anything like that and you want me to
20:18 stop by, that's a possibility. Can't
20:21 make any guarantees,
20:23 but all everything I'm going to post is
20:25 going to be in a straight line across
20:27 the country, all different directions.
20:29 So be pretty easy to figure out which
20:31 towns I'm going through. Just saying.
20:44 Also, there's another way I go about
20:44 getting merchandise at the start of
20:46 trips.
20:48 Can always find a screen printer at the
20:50 start of one of the routes, one of the
20:52 highways,
20:54 point A, before I get to point B. And if
20:56 I were to fly and next year, the only
20:58 flights I'm really going to be doing as
21:00 far as what I have planned now is to fly
21:03 to the point A to get to point B simply
21:06 so I can return the rental car. Let's
21:08 say if it's cross country, if I'm going
21:10 all the way from south to north or
21:12 obviously I'm going north to south, I
21:14 would fly up start in the north and then
21:16 come southward and then just head home.
21:18 But if I'm going starting in the
21:20 starting in the south here and going
21:22 northward once I get to that point, I
21:24 would fly back home for a week to relax
21:26 before starting the next one.
21:28 But I could always find a a place that
21:31 does screen printing. I think trucker
21:32 hats are the probably the best simply
21:34 because you don't have to have a bunch
21:36 of different sizes. They're more or less
21:38 one sizefits-all. and I could just pay
21:40 the screen printing company at those
21:42 places, get the merch there, pick them
21:43 up when I land before I start the road
21:45 trip, and give away the free merch on
21:47 the trip. So, there's that to look in
21:49 look into as well.
21:55 That I think that that would be a good
21:55 solution to not taking stuff with me if
21:58 I'm starting off by getting on a plane
22:01 and going to point A, if that makes
22:03 sense. So, anyone that sees the
22:06 particular
22:08 highways I'm going to be taking or roads
22:10 I'm going to be taking and you know I'm
22:11 passing through an area, if you happen
22:13 to do screen printing, want the
22:15 business,
22:17 give me a little contact
22:20 or if you know of someone.
22:26 Again, I can't make any guarantees at
22:26 all,
22:28 but I am willing to to think about that
22:31 that aspect.
22:36 Easiest way to get a hold of me is
22:36 Instagram. Adam theWoo ATW on Instagram.
22:40 That's Adam theWoo atw. send me a
22:42 message and if I don't respond as I get
22:45 closer to those trips and announcing
22:48 those particular roads I'll be taking if
22:50 you know I'm coming through. That's
22:51 that's the that's the best way for a
22:54 direct message.
23:01 And if I don't reply, feel free as I get
23:01 closer to your area to let me know.
23:04 Or if there's any kind of unusual stuff
23:06 you want me to see on those on those
23:08 routes and routes and highways and
23:10 byways and back roads, etc.
23:13 Trying to stay off the interstates next
23:15 year. And try not to do any flights
23:18 unless they are going to the starting
23:20 point or coming back from the ending
23:23 point. So I will be flying. Make no
23:25 mistake about that because I've got to
23:27 get home. And the reason I'm going to be
23:29 renting cars as a versus to buying a new
23:31 car, the car I have now has many, many
23:34 miles on, 150,000 miles. So, probably
23:36 don't need to be taking that thing
23:37 across the great US of A, you know, into
23:41 the vastness. I said, I got to get to
23:44 where I got to get to get to where I'm
23:45 going and turn around and come back.
23:47 Just easier to do a one-way rent a car.
23:49 That way, if there's any problems, I can
23:50 just call the rental car company and and
23:52 they'll take care of it.
23:55 That's the plan.
24:01 Pretty excited about it. Again, you
24:01 wouldn't know that I was flying
24:02 international tomorrow as much as I'm
24:03 talking about US trips, but I'm really
24:05 looking forward to the international
24:06 coming up tomorrow as well. Tomorrow's a
24:08 long lengthy lengthy travel day
24:11 tomorrow. So, going to turn in early
24:13 tonight or at least try to before
24:16 heading to the airport in the morning.
24:18 Got a couple flights to get where I'm
24:20 going.
24:21 Cross the seas.
24:24 And no international. I think I stated
24:25 that, but no international trips next
24:27 year. Not one on the on the agenda.
24:32 I think when it's all said and done this
24:33 year, I'll have gone to nine nine new
24:35 countries. Not bad for my first year of
24:38 traveling international. Who knows? If
24:40 I'm still around in 2027, I might do
24:42 more international stuff. But
24:49 the great Adam the Woo US road trip.
24:49 What should I title it? The great the
24:52 great US road trip
24:54 2026 with Adam the Woo. That makes that
24:56 makes that's better. Something like
24:58 that.
25:08 The great US road trip of 2026
25:08 with Adam the Woo
25:21 I did get some new pins made. I'll not
25:21 be giving out the couple years ago I did
25:24 the PO box. I closed that PO box. I no
25:26 longer have it. I don't do the free pin
25:28 giveaway anymore. It was a little too
25:29 overwhelming. But I would like to carry
25:32 them with me wherever I go on these
25:33 trips. And then again, if anyone says
25:36 hi,
25:38 some free pens,
25:44 free stickers, etc.
25:44 and some drop off some merch drop off
25:46 points.
25:48 Yeah, if you got a merch drop off point
25:51 on any of the travels I'll be doing, let
25:53 me know where some good spots you think
25:55 would be. Again, it's all just kind of
25:57 whirlwinding in my head.
26:01 Nothing set in stone, but got some good
26:03 ideas. Kind of want to make it an
26:05 interactive road trip in a lot of ways.
26:16 That's the one good thing about going
26:16 from here
26:18 to there. But let's say I was going from
26:20 that cone to that cone or that cone to
26:24 that cone and I'm only veering off very
26:27 very small doses, you know, a few miles
26:29 in either way and staying on those
26:31 roads.
26:33 It could be a fun little follow along.
26:35 And everything I have planned is in that
26:38 fashion from there to there. Not
26:43 like I usually am. It's just
26:48 again, you know, veering off a little
26:50 bit here and there. You know, a few
26:51 miles few miles off the main course, but
26:54 my goal is to stick to that from that
26:58 to that up to that. Disregard that one.
27:02 That one stretch of distance per month.
27:04 two to three weeks per month. Again, 66
27:07 will be I'm I'm doing trying to do the
27:09 whole month. Some of the other ones
27:10 might be a whole month as well, but
27:12 sticking to one per month, I think, is a
27:15 good template. I can knock out a lot of
27:19 the United States of America in that
27:20 time frame. And can meet up with a lot
27:23 of people. You know, if you're in a
27:24 certain area and you see I'm coming
27:26 through and you have some neat ideas,
27:27 you want to say hi, grab a cup of Joe,
27:29 show me around your town,
27:32 I might be down for it.
27:35 I think it could be fun. Well, I know it
27:38 could be fun. It could be fun. This is
27:39 called Savannah Square.
27:42 And I've always interpreted it and I'm
27:44 pretty confident in my thought process
27:46 that this is based on Savannah, Georgia
27:48 and the squares in Savannah, Georgia,
27:50 similar to the one that Tom Hanks sits
27:52 at in Forest Gump. He says, "A life is
27:55 like a box of chocolates on the bench
27:56 that would have been right over here."
27:58 Very similar to that. I love how
28:00 celebration each of the little parks is
28:01 a little bit different. And fun fact,
28:04 one of the highways that I want to do
28:07 next year is going to be starting in
28:10 Savannah and going across the lower
28:13 portions of the US. I believe it's US
28:16 80, not Interstate 80, but US Highway
28:20 80, which kind of hugs the South. Starts
28:23 in Savannah, goes to San Diego. Now,
28:26 there are some portions of it that are
28:28 decommissioned and broken up, but that
28:29 would be a fun trip to find the old
28:32 abandoned sections west of Dallas,
28:35 Texas,
28:36 cuz US80
28:39 exists from Savannah
28:42 to Houston and then it's decommissioned,
28:44 but there are still sections over to San
28:47 Diego. That could be a fun one.
28:50 It's going to happen. All right, let me
28:52 count. I'm back in my garage now. Pull
28:54 mini margin here. uh count the amount of
28:57 countries that I've been to. I did take
28:58 a break for Halloween season, which I
29:01 kind of regret doing. The Halloween
29:04 stuff is great and I really love it, but
29:06 I kind of wish looking back on it I
29:09 would have continued kind of put
29:10 Halloween on the back burner like I
29:12 should have and stayed with the one
29:14 country per month. But that's neither
29:17 here nor there. And what's done is done.
29:21 still did a lot of countries my first
29:23 year traveling international in 2027
29:27 starting with Bleise last January or
29:30 this January January 25
29:33 started in Bise
29:40 after I did 10 days there give or take
29:40 went to England for the first time that
29:42 was in January so I did two in the first
29:44 month and then I continued doing one per
29:47 month after that I believe
29:50 February
29:52 was number three which would have been
29:54 Canada all the way around in the
29:56 Vancouver area.
29:58 Did a week or two and then in the Canada
30:01 area so that have been three and where
30:04 did I go after that?
30:06 South Korea perhaps
30:09 fourth. Well, if maybe not in maybe not
30:12 in particular order. South Korea fourth.
30:16 Went to South Korea. Went to Mexico.
30:20 That's five in no particular order. I'm
30:21 kind of losing track on which ones I
30:23 went in a certain order, but South Korea
30:27 and Mexico would have been four and
30:28 five.
30:35 Went to Paris. Went to France. That
30:35 would have been number six.
30:43 Again, in no particular order.
30:43 And then also
30:44 I went to Amsterdam, went to Holland.
30:55 Gosh, I'm lo I'm actually kind of lost
30:55 track of what order I did these in to be
30:57 completely honest. But a total of seven.
31:01 Got Bise one, England two,
31:06 Canada three, South Korea four, Mexico
31:11 five,
31:19 Amsterdam six. In no particular order,
31:20 Holland
31:27 and then France, seven. Seven countries,
31:27 and I'm getting ready to do eight and
31:29 nine. So, I'll knock off nine countries
31:32 in 2026 for my first year of
31:38 Good thing I have magnets.
31:41 It's been a busy year. It doesn't seem
31:43 like it's been a busy year, but then
31:44 when I look and I try to remember all of
31:46 it, I'm like, I've had a pretty hectic
31:48 year. Pretty good, pretty good non-stop
31:51 year, not counting all the events and
31:54 all that kind of stuff that I did. And I
31:55 figure once I start doing the US stuff
31:57 again, I'm going to need I'm going to
32:00 need more magnet space for my US magnets
32:04 or maybe I can slow down on the magnet
32:06 buying. I definitely need to buy more
32:08 magnets internationally. I got to get
32:09 add to the two countries.
32:17 Yeah, good times. Good times. It's been
32:17 a fun year. Been a fun fun year. I've
32:20 seen and done a lot of stuff.
32:23 And here's some of the one-inch buttons
32:25 that I ordered. I'll probably take a few
32:27 with me over to the international
32:28 countries that I'm going, but these are
32:29 mostly saved for the US travels. In
32:32 fact, got a new one here.
32:36 Has me there in front of the the US,
32:38 continental US.
32:40 Probably going to make a lot more of
32:42 these. These are just for starters.
32:46 Yeah, these are just for starters. But
32:48 got some 1-in buttons for the road trips
32:51 that I'll always have on me in 2026.
32:54 All right, back home now doing a little
32:56 pre-mental pre-planning. Haven't written
32:58 anything down yet. Haven't bought a page
33:00 by page daily calendar as of yet, but I
33:04 do want to show some of the some of the
33:07 roads I want to take. Obviously, the
33:10 most obvious is going to be Route 66,
33:14 which goes from Chicago
33:17 to the Santa Monica Pier.
33:25 So, I would fly to Chicago at some point
33:25 next year. I'm thinking maybe
33:28 May, May or June, but I'm leaning
33:31 towards May.
33:33 Not sure how bad the weather will be in
33:34 Chicago in May, but should be drivable.
33:37 Maybe
33:39 starting in Chicago and going down Route
33:42 66. This is the obvious one. I'm going
33:44 to show you some of the other ones I
33:45 have in mind. Then there's the Lincoln
33:47 Highway.
33:50 Goes from San Francisco to New York, but
33:53 I believe technically starts in New York
33:56 City.
33:57 So, if you were going to do it the the
33:59 correct way, you'd start in New York,
34:01 end in San Francisco. I believe that was
34:03 a way it was originally
34:06 conceived and built, but I would end up
34:09 in San Francisco. So, making the most
34:11 sense would be fly one way to New York,
34:15 pick up the rental car there, do Lincoln
34:17 Highway through Philly, over through
34:20 Pittsburgh,
34:22 south of Chicago, De Moines's, Iowa.
34:26 portions of it split off to Denver, Salt
34:29 Lake, and all the little small towns,
34:32 the nooks and crannies of the Midwest
34:35 along the Lincoln Highway. I've done
34:37 portions of it, never done it in its
34:39 entirety. Now, this one I would not be
34:41 able to do in January or February simply
34:43 because the road conditions will be
34:46 really undrivable and unsafe in certain
34:48 areas.
34:50 Maybe April,
34:53 March, Aprilish.
34:56 possibly. Again, just kind of
34:58 spitballing, thinking out loud. But this
35:02 is on there. Route 66, Lincoln Highway.
35:05 Those are two of the many I want to do
35:07 next year. One per month if all goes
35:09 well. The third major highway that I
35:12 want to do is US Highway number one,
35:16 which goes from Key West, Florida to
35:18 Fort Kent, Maine. Now, I don't know
35:20 which which which way I would go,
35:23 whether I would start by renting a car
35:26 here and driving down to Key West and
35:29 starting in Key West and taking US1 up
35:33 through Wayross, through Bradley, up
35:35 through Augustus or up through Augusta,
35:37 South Carolina, South Carolina, up
35:40 through Raleigh, through DC, through
35:43 Newark, through Boston,
35:46 and ending at the starting point of Fort
35:48 Kent Or do I fly to the closest airport
35:53 near Fort Fort Kent and then drive back?
35:56 That way I don't have to catch a flight
35:58 when I get back. Maybe fly up just north
36:02 of Boston. Drive up. I think there's
36:04 even a closer airport than Boston to
36:06 Fort Kent. Drive up to the Canada
36:08 border. Start in Fort Kent and make my
36:11 way southward hitting all the little
36:14 nooks and crannies of US
36:16 Highway number one.
36:19 all the way back down. That's the third
36:21 highway I want to do next year.
36:24 Hitting every little town. Some of the
36:26 major towns are mentioned, but there's
36:28 going to be some other little small
36:29 towns, back road stuff, forgotten
36:32 communities, abandoned buildings,
36:36 you know, empty storefronts, new
36:38 storefronts, thriving places, unthriving
36:41 places, all through some of those
36:44 original colonies. Then we're getting
36:46 into another one. PCH, Pacific Coast
36:49 Highway, which some would be considered
36:52 from Los Angeles up to San Francisco, I
36:56 maybe even up into Northern California
36:59 up towards like Eureka and all that. But
37:02 in reality, Pacific Coast Highway goes
37:04 from Seattle
37:06 all the way down through Atoria, Eureka,
37:09 San Francisco, Santa Barbara, LA, and
37:13 San Diego. That is another one not to be
37:16 confused with US one which goes from
37:20 Maine down to Key West. This one is on
37:23 the west coast Seattle down to San Diego
37:28 just hugging the west shore.
37:31 Nice scenic views. Some smaller and
37:33 bigger towns, little shore communities.
37:37 Been wanting to do this one for a long
37:38 time and in 2026 it's on my agenda. So
37:42 that would be the fourth
37:45 of the great highway road trips planned
37:48 for next year. Again, trying to
37:50 coordinate which month of each of these
37:52 I want to do. I want to do about one per
37:54 month. And there's a lot of them. Now,
37:56 this one might be one of the particular
37:58 highways that I do early on. Let's say
38:00 even maybe even January or February.
38:02 could even be a good first one to tackle
38:05 and jump into simply because it's so far
38:08 south in the US that it won't be as
38:11 inclement weather when it comes to, you
38:13 know, snowstorms. You know, there's a
38:16 possibility, but it won't be as bad as
38:19 it would be in the northern states. This
38:21 would be Route 80,
38:23 Highway 80, which starts over in
38:25 Savannah
38:27 right there on the east coast and makes
38:29 its way through Statesboro, Georgia into
38:33 the center point of Georgia, and then
38:37 into Alabama. Right through the center
38:38 of Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, right
38:41 through the middle of Texas. This is
38:43 what it gets a little confusing right
38:44 through here because once you get
38:46 through the Dallas Fort Worth area,
38:48 there's some sections that's
38:49 decommissioned, but not all of it is
38:51 decommissioned. So, I would have to
38:53 bounce off of the highway, go a few
38:56 miles, get back on, try to find some of
38:58 the old road. Some of it's abandoned,
39:00 some of it's not drivable, some of it is
39:02 drivable. Some of it reconnects once you
39:04 get over into this area, and then make
39:07 my way into New Mexico, out of Texas,
39:10 and then over into Arizona. and finally
39:13 end up in San Diego where I would catch
39:16 a flight back to the east coast knocking
39:20 out that one. And I'm guessing this will
39:22 probably one of the early ons of 2026.
39:26 But look at all these towns. Some small,
39:29 some big, some historical, some
39:31 forgotten, all along USA. There's also
39:34 US Route 90, which I probably will not
39:36 be doing, which runs more along I 10.
39:39 This is kind of more through the middle
39:42 of all those southern states. So, this
39:44 would be number five road trip I want to
39:46 do next year. That's five. Another one
39:49 I'd love to do is the Great River Road
39:51 Trip. River Road runs just beside
39:56 parallel to the Mississippi River.
39:59 starting up in northern Minnesota,
40:02 runs along either side of the
40:04 Mississippi River through all these
40:05 states, 10 or so states, dumping out.
40:10 Well, obviously I wouldn't go into the
40:12 ocean, but it ends right there at the
40:14 the bottom southern tip of Louisiana.
40:17 Now, the question I have to myself
40:19 basically is, do I go up one side and
40:22 keep crisscrossing over the bridges to
40:24 the other side of the Mississippi, or do
40:27 I do one lengthy trip at some point next
40:30 year where I start in Minnesota? That'd
40:32 be super easy. just fly up to the
40:35 Minnesota airport there by Mall of
40:36 America
40:38 in Minneapolis, rent a car, go to the
40:41 start of Great River Road, make my way
40:44 down,
40:46 turn, go, you know, maybe do two weeks
40:48 down, 10 days down, 10 days back up,
40:52 hitting all the little small towns,
40:55 the old mighty Mississippi River, great
40:58 river road trip. I feel like I feel like
41:01 I got to do both sides. Go all the way
41:04 down hugging the Mississippi all the way
41:07 down and then hugging it all the way
41:09 back up. Or could fly into Louisiana and
41:12 do it that way and go back down. That's
41:14 a possibility as well. I could even just
41:17 rent a car from here, take a day to get
41:20 over there, start go up, come back,
41:22 return the rental car back in Orlando.
41:24 But that's going to be that'll be a
41:26 lengthy trip going both ways. But this
41:28 is something I've wanted to do for a
41:30 while as well.
41:32 So that's six, right? That's six road
41:34 trips. I think that's a good start.
41:43 I'm out hoping [music] to find some
41:44 deer. One last look at some deer at dusk
41:48 before I leave.
42:11 Well, the deer stayed very elusive this
42:11 evening, but at least I get to see the
42:13 lights.
42:15 Christmas tree is not lit up yet. They
42:16 haven't done the Christmas tree lighting
42:18 ceremony yet, but the other lights on
42:20 Market Street are. But no deer. Elusive
42:23 deer. Deer were very elusive.
42:31 church has some very very beautiful
42:31 lights put up or they're putting up
42:32 their very beautiful lights. This is
42:34 also the time of the year where every
42:36 place well there's a spot right there
42:39 but downtown starts to get really hectic
42:42 when it comes to parking because
42:44 so many streets are blocked off and
42:46 there's already little parking to begin
42:47 with and people just circle around they
42:50 can find parking. There was a spot back
42:51 there if anybody needs it.
43:06 Nice little view of the sun setting over
43:06 there. So, a little bit of the nightfall
43:09 here in downtown Celebration. And
43:12 evidently, I was just talking to
43:13 someone. They said they were going to
43:14 put the little pylon stansions over here
43:16 as well. Maybe that'd be kind of neat.
43:20 Have them from all three angles. Look at
43:22 that sunset there. You're going to be
43:23 able to in the upcoming weeks be able to
43:26 skate there on the fake ice skating
43:27 rink. The sunset at Celebration. Very
43:30 beautiful. They're having something
43:31 going on down here. A little food little
43:34 food uh food trucks. Ah, Christmas in
43:37 celebration. At least they'll be back in
43:40 time for Christmas Day. Look, they have
43:41 the little icicle lights up there all
43:43 lit up. Very nice. Toways on though.
43:46 Tow. Keep that in mind. Towways. Got the
43:48 lights stretched all along the lamp post
43:51 here. Very very nice. And the
43:53 decorations and everything. Christmas
43:55 lights and ornaments. Oh wow. They have
43:59 really gone out over here at this house.
44:02 Take a look at this over here off to the
44:05 side. This they have really gone full
44:09 Griswald. Wow. Love it.
44:13 Love it.
44:16 You know, I think I miscount earlier.
44:18 I've been to eight countries so far this
44:21 year. eight and counting the two I'm
44:23 about to do before a year end. That'll
44:25 be 10 countries. 10 new countries I've
44:28 gone to in 2025.
44:31 Not too bad. Not too bad. So, you got
44:34 Bise,
44:36 Bise, Ecuador, I forgot, France,
44:41 Mexico,
44:43 South Korea, that's five. Six, England.
44:48 Seven, Holland.
44:51 and eight Canada and then nine and 10
44:55 upcoming
44:57 plus all the Halloween stuff plus the
44:58 40th anniversary of Back to the Future,
45:00 40th anniversary of Goonies and 40th
45:02 anniversary of Peewee's big adventure I
45:04 celebrated at all those spots. Pretty
45:07 good year. And that's going to do it for
45:09 today, but not before I put my porch
45:12 pilgrim away. It's time for him to go
45:14 inside me to put me to put my
45:16 Thanksgiving stuff away.
45:19 Can't leave that out while I'm gone. And
45:21 when I return, Christmas stuff will go
45:22 out. Much more bountiful and plentiful
45:26 than my Thanksgiving decor. I have a lot
45:29 of Christmas stuff to put out.
45:32 But for now, I'll be celebrating
45:33 Thanksgiving
45:45 Porch Pilgrim
45:45 signing off. I'll see you in the next
45:47 video. The vlog is over.
46:07 See it a little more ominous with the
46:07 shadow.
