0:17 2021 i will be boarding a plane
0:20 flying american airlines heading to
0:23 central florida to orlando international
0:26 not before a layover in texas i believe
0:31 more on that later i should have
0:32 probably researched it before
0:35 before starting the intro however i do
0:36 have a layover
0:38 flying out of john wayne
0:44 first class my second time doing first
0:44 class
0:46 about a month and a half ago flying back
0:48 from orlando
0:49 to here is there a car coming
0:52 i'm good
0:59 i ended up taking united so did united
0:59 for my first first class experience and
1:02 now i decided to change it up with a
1:03 different airline
1:05 and going with american airlines
1:08 over time i'll do them all but i just
1:10 want to see how this one differs from
1:12 others i'm inviting you to join me on
1:14 this all day adventure

1:17 appears as if my layover will be in
1:20 dallas
1:22 fort worth
1:23 shown right up there
1:25 flight number 1675
1:28 departs at 11 26 a.m on time
1:32 gate number six
1:42 okay which way is gate number six
1:42 there are no direct flights out of
1:43 orange county to orlando
1:46 you know in the past i've gone over to
1:48 lax and gone that direction but i don't
1:51 actually i don't mind layover so kind of
1:53 it's kind of nice to get out and stretch
1:54 the legs a bit plus it's a lot easier to
1:56 get through the checkpoints here never
1:57 quite as crowded as lax says it's a much
2:00 more enjoyable experience they don't
2:02 have to get here quite as early either
2:04 because there's not as many people made
2:05 it in exactly one hour till boarding as
2:08 stated right here 11 26 or yeah 11 26
2:12 a.m
2:13 is the departure time right there it is
2:15 now 10 22
2:17 well not quite
2:18 not quite an hour hour and four minutes
2:21 until departure this is gate five
2:23 because my plane is not pulled up to
2:24 gate six yet but this just gives an
2:26 example of the size aircraft i'll most
2:28 likely be boarding for
2:30 the first leg of the flight and over
2:32 here at the gift shop have some
2:34 california merchandise including
2:38 a little orange county as well some
2:40 stickers here
2:42 california in the sun
2:43 the golden state
2:54 hudson news there was a short time where
2:54 i started using these neck pillows
2:57 and after a couple times i just realized
2:59 i didn't really need them for some
3:01 reason i was a little more
3:03 uncomfortable with them than just
3:04 leaning my head always get the window
3:06 seat
3:07 i just usually just lean my head up
3:08 against
3:09 the
3:11 side of the plane next to the window and
3:13 i would never bring the travel pillow
3:15 with me so i opted out of never using it
3:18 anymore
3:19 just personal preference i'm seeing all
3:21 the other airlines that i'm not flying
3:23 on today
3:29 there is no miniature
3:29 of the airline that i will be on
3:31 american airlines
3:34 there's united
3:36 even air force one alaska southwest
3:47 delta that's interesting no american
3:47 airlines oh there's one inbound right
3:49 there landing check it out yeah getting
3:52 landing in this and also they have the
3:54 little taxi unit that is moving away
3:57 from that airliner i never sit before
4:00 getting on a plane i always walk around
4:02 kind of meander around stretch my legs
4:04 just simply because
4:06 i'm going to be on
4:07 i'm going to be on board for so long
4:10 and
4:11 you know
4:12 it's good
4:14 it's good to get the
4:15 the blood flowing
4:17 all areas when you think about it i'm
4:18 gonna be sitting in a seat for like five
4:21 five and a half hours give or take
4:23 so why would i sit now let's just
4:26 just yeah i don't really like sitting
4:28 for that long i have to be i have to be
4:30 constantly like moving around either
4:32 sitting standing doing something
4:34 different every so often so
4:36 just to balance it out
4:37 i try to tire myself out by standing
4:40 before getting on a plane makes the ride
4:42 a little more a little more bearable a
4:44 little farmer's market and a rubies to
4:47 go over here and i'm not going to eat
4:48 anything at the airport itself because
4:50 i'm going to be getting some snacks on
4:52 the plane itself
4:54 pretty neat little vibe in here in the
4:56 restaurant
4:57 with some vintage style posters there on
5:00 the wall
5:01 oh i made it over to the beach standing
5:04 on the shoreline
5:05 feel the waves crashing in and the wind
5:08 in my hair just kidding i'm still in the
5:10 airport there's still the airport this
5:12 is just a little a little photo wall
5:15 just trying to stay busy until you know
5:17 until it is time for me to board which
5:19 isn't much longer less than a half hour
5:21 to take off and my gate number six the
5:25 plane has not arrived
5:27 should be boarding
5:28 in a couple of moments but there's no
5:30 plane there yet
5:32 possible delay
5:34 there is one over here
5:36 however oh there's one pulling in you
5:39 know what
5:40 okay be patient be very patient this
5:42 this could be the gate number six
5:45 airliner yep all right we're witnessing
5:47 this
5:48 in real time right there this is it
5:51 pretty decent size
5:54 now if it just turned takes a little
5:55 shift it is
5:57 okay time this perfectly
5:59 american
6:01 airlines
6:04 pulling into the station
6:11 oh look at this little look at this
6:11 little plane personal plane
6:14 landing as well also a very short runway
6:16 here takeoff and landings are very
6:20 different at this one than they are at
6:21 some of the bigger airports
6:23 the runway is a lot shorter
6:31 there it is a little behind the scenes
6:31 well out the window see
6:35 there we go
6:36 they're putting the little
6:38 stanchions under the the front wheel
6:40 there
6:42 got the guy down here with the markers
6:49 and there comes doc brown's van
6:49 they found him i don't know how but we
6:52 found him
6:53 i think everyone's sitting there
6:55 standing around me while i'm standing up
6:57 right here my bag is next to me i think
7:00 everyone's sitting around me is probably
7:01 like why is that guy
7:03 talking to himself
7:04 about 20 minutes later than expected as
7:07 far as the allotted time frame for
7:09 boarding
7:10 but i'm making my way on
7:12 group number one
7:14 i believe i'm in c3a or maybe three b
7:18 whichever one's the window
7:19 the c3 either a or b
8:28 as well which is kind of nice a little
8:28 little cell phone charger
8:37 and because this is taking off a little
8:37 bit late
8:39 going to make it a little bit of a time
8:41 crunch
8:42 in order to get the layover i get the
8:44 dallas fort worth but
8:46 sometimes they make up for it on the
8:48 flight out
8:52 should have started taxing on very
8:52 shortly
8:54 just looking at the next plane over
9:01 you're back you're in the flight you
9:01 might be able to lift or lower your
9:03 faces for eating or drinking
9:05 please keep your mask off if you want to
9:07 sleep so we don't have to wake you
9:09 we're coming through the aisle now for
9:10 our final safety effects chest and
9:13 whatever we appreciate you choosing
9:15 americans get back relax enjoy your
9:17 flight
9:18 this airliner is definitely considerably
9:20 bigger than that one that's like a
9:22 that's like a three person
9:24 there's also another smaller one landing
9:26 over there as well
11:19 we'll be doing a u-turn shortly
11:19 once we get over the ocean
11:21 this plane will do a complete
11:23 u-turn
11:28 head east
11:28 with all the boats down there
11:31 right here along the shoreline
11:47 all right not quite a 360 but did make a
11:47 shift and running parallel to the
11:49 shoreline
12:07 pretty neat looking all the way up here
12:07 you can really get a understanding of
12:09 just how many
12:11 how many people live down down there in
12:13 orange county
12:35 just look out the window for a
12:35 considerable amount of time
12:37 entertained
12:39 how healthy and beautiful
12:46 well technically i'm above the clouds
12:46 looking down on them
13:00 took me a moment to figure out how this
13:00 how this tray pops up
13:02 you don't just reach in and grab the
13:04 metal part you have to take your finger
13:07 and press down
13:33 getting the hang of this and the meal is
13:35 included
13:37 got some
13:38 pita chips here
13:40 a little salad up top with some
13:42 naturally fresh oil and vinegar dressing
13:46 something called a brooklyn bar
13:49 looks like there's some grapes
13:51 and blueberries and a strawberry
13:54 and i went with the turkey pastrami
13:56 sandwich
14:10 looks pretty good
14:10 it's not the
14:11 not the biggest sandwich in the world
14:15 but definitely nice that it comes with
14:16 all the additional also like there's
14:18 some provolone cheese on there and
14:20 lettuce
14:21 it's nice that it comes with all the
14:22 other additional things
14:26 as well
14:27 and some plastic cutlery down here i
14:30 went with a dr pepper
14:32 got to admit
14:33 food was pretty good
14:35 i'm kind of wondering since i have a
14:36 layover then i get on the next flight
14:39 will i get another meal
14:41 that's
14:42 included i think i might wait and see
14:56 and just to reiterate the best thing
14:56 about this
14:57 is i have plenty of leg room
15:00 elbow room and personal space
15:04 which for me being six foot three and
15:07 not thin
15:09 it's very comfortable
15:19 it's a good like
15:19 almost a foot between my knee
15:22 and the back of that seat well that
15:23 maybe the other foot half a foot
15:30 also brought out some almonds
15:30 roasted and sea salt flavor
15:41 pretty tasty
15:41 also a
15:42 cup of water here
16:23 fort worth you can see the
16:23 the greater city city area
16:25 i am approaching very soon but yeah
16:28 quite a bit of turbulence but
16:31 the wing is kind of bouncing over there
16:33 the whole
16:34 the whole plane is just kind of bouncing
16:36 oh yeah bouncing a little bit
16:40 heading back down towards
16:42 towards the airport here
16:44 dallas fort worth
16:46 flying parallel to this plane is another
16:48 plane
16:49 over there on the horizon
16:51 it just says this guy we're both heading
16:53 into the same airport probably two
16:55 different runways obviously but
16:57 another plane way over there
17:18 is
17:18 oh look down there
17:21 you see the shadow you see the shadow of
17:22 the plane of going over the traffic
17:25 going over the freeway the interstate
18:20 a very successful landing
18:20 moving very very quickly to the gate
18:25 probably in a bit of a rush to make sure
18:26 the connecting flight happens

20:08 monorail or some sort of transportation
20:10 device is that a monorail or
20:13 i'm not sure but it might be might be a
20:15 single rail monorail but this is the
20:17 same plane i just got off of i'm going
20:19 to re-board the same plane after
20:22 the layover that's weird
20:24 this whole retro looking neon of the
20:26 eagle is pretty cool over here at gate
20:29 20.
20:31 granted it's a little bit it's
20:32 definitely a lot faster if i was to do a
20:34 direct flight if you don't have the
20:36 additional landing and takeoff and then
20:38 the waiting around but i do enjoy
20:40 stretching my legs so i kind of i kind
20:42 of like it i kind of like having
20:44 layovers now even though it makes your
20:46 day very very lengthy and a lot longer
20:48 than it would be with the direct flight
20:50 it's kind of nice to stretch the legs
20:52 whoa this is kind of sort of like deja
20:55 vu
20:55 this is the same tunnel i walked out
20:58 about an hour ago well plus an hour ago
21:00 40 minutes ago give or take
21:02 now we're going back on the same plane
21:04 but sitting on the opposite side of the
21:06 aisle i've chosen the
21:08 the window on the
21:10 other wing
21:12 4f i believe that's my seat this time
21:16 let's do it looks like they got the bags
21:18 loaded so we should be on their way here
21:20 very shortly
21:21 two hours 15 minutes down to orlando
21:23 i'll be back once we get a cruise out to
21:25 give me an update on our arrival time
21:27 just a couple of important announcements
21:29 uh i need to remind everybody that the
21:32 consumption of personal alcohol alcohol
21:34 and beverages brought on board today's
21:36 flight is against federal regulations
21:38 i think we're all ready to take off your
21:40 car
21:41 wondering whose luggage is this down

21:45 right now
21:53 we are primarily here for your safety
21:53 but if there's anything that we can do

24:27 not a lot of thick cloud formation
24:30 there is some over on the horizon but
24:33 right here you get a really clear view
24:36 down to the ground level
24:44 well i guess right
24:44 you get a second meal
24:46 instead of the
24:48 the other one that i had i went with a
24:49 vegetarian option
24:51 which is
24:53 pimento cheese
24:55 i do like pimento cheese my grandma used
24:57 to make me pimento cheese sandwiches uh
25:00 yeah one with a pimento cheese
25:06 you can have a little lettuce on there
25:06 and some tomatoes
25:08 also the little fruit over here
25:11 and what i did last time was
25:13 take these flat bed flat bread crisps
25:16 and use the
25:17 olive oil and vinegar
25:19 for almost like a dipping sauce
25:22 and just kind of used about half of it
25:23 on the salad
25:25 also
25:26 these little brownies
25:28 really good
25:29 yeah two meals
25:31 when you have a layover get two little
25:33 small meals
25:44 ladies and gentlemen we are leveling up
25:44 39 000 feet that's our cruise altitude
25:47 orlando
25:49 we'll be leaving the seatbelt sign on
25:51 for a little bit longer
25:54 we're doing some deviations around
25:56 some rain showers
25:58 and uh i get a little bit bumpy so until
26:00 we get past this uh
26:03 the next 15 minutes
26:05 put the seatbelt sign on and ask
26:07 everybody to remain in their seat with
26:08 their seatbelts
26:32 so we're gonna be doing a little
26:32 rerouting
26:34 going a little out of the way well
26:37 some of the bad weather some some rain
26:40 in this area
26:41 ended up utilizing this waste bag
26:44 for my trash
26:46 one more uh little area of storms off
26:49 the right
26:58 due to the deviations we're probably
26:58 going to be uh right on the schedule
27:00 maybe just a couple minutes
