0:02 welcome everyone Adam the Wu here as a
0:03 recording of the Saturday May 13 2023.
0:06 Tampa Jay is here in town from Tampa
0:09 I'm from celebration also in town in NYC
0:13 you have arrived I love New York it is
0:16 so good to finally be back in the Big
0:18 Apple I can't believe we're doing this
0:19 we're doing it right you're here for a
0:21 series of days I've been here for a
0:22 couple days I'm here for a series of
0:24 more days
0:25 let's start off today with a piping hot
0:28 caffeinated beverage from one of only I
0:31 think two or three
0:32 of these establishments anywhere in the
0:34 U.S the the Starbucks
0:37 Reserve Roastery Reserve they've got the
0:40 Federal Reserve in town what's a
0:42 Starbucks there's one of these in
0:46 try to think where it is where to start
0:47 with Seattle that I went to it was good
0:50 I got really hyped up on caffeine now I
0:52 want you to try it and then from here
0:54 okay we're gonna walk we're technically
0:56 in Manhattan I believe right we're in
0:58 Chelsea Market in Manhattan
1:01 gonna head a little bit south of here
1:03 check out some filming location spots
1:05 some iconic TV show spots movie spots
1:09 yeah I'm just going to wing it a lot of
1:11 good stuff filmed around here with Tampa
1:12 Jay I'm inviting you to join me Big
1:15 Apple
1:16 and Tampa Jay in the Big Apple
1:18 shall you all right Reserve Roastery
1:23 that could be incorrect was saying
1:24 there's only two in the US there's not a
1:26 lot there's like less than there's
1:28 there's less than you would think there
1:29 would be this is not your normal
1:31 Starbucks what do you normally get at
1:34 Starbucks I don't want to get like the
1:36 cold brew okay
1:38 so not a piping hot a cold crisp all
1:43 right fair enough but I might get one
1:45 today let's just see what they got let's
1:47 go ahead and ask let's go in and ask
1:49 if this is look at look how fancy this
1:51 is you already got the door here look at
1:53 this is it like a secret code it's like
1:55 the Federal Reserve all right it's
1:57 pretty neat when you first walk in you
1:58 can definitely tell how this is not
2:00 look like other starbuckses do they just
2:02 do all the roasting on site and one of
2:04 the guys that helped us when we first
2:06 walk in I asked what's the closest thing
2:07 to like a Pike's Place that's going to
2:09 be your version of a Pike's Place like
2:10 an enhanced version of a Pike's Place
2:12 they said there was something called the
2:14 Paradisio which I think is the same
2:17 thing I had when I was in Seattle so I
2:19 ended up ordering ordering one of those
2:21 as well but they have all the roasters
2:23 in there to tell you the truth a lot of
2:25 this really confuses me it's almost like
2:26 a little too overwhelming and it's very
2:28 very busy
2:29 and while we were waiting inside here
2:32 how long how long would you say we
2:34 waited 30 minutes a good 30 minutes
2:36 cheers cheers for patients I uh I
2:40 started having you look up Dunkin Donuts
2:42 in the area and we almost bailed thank
2:44 you for being the cons Jimmy you're my
2:47 Jiminy Cricket when it comes to patience
2:48 I saw them making two cups I'm like
2:50 those gotta be ours it uh it took 30
2:53 minutes to get a standard cup of coffee
2:55 I don't think it was ready and they were
2:58 working hard in there it was busy but I
3:00 almost walked out look we see our
3:02 reflection in here oh hello so sometimes
3:04 you have to be patient when you want
3:05 something a little bit different all
3:07 right let's give it a try cheers we've
3:09 already cheers
3:16 it's very hot whoa piping hot strong but
3:16 it's it's bold it's strong it's smooth
3:19 did you put sugar in yours I put one raw
3:21 sugar
3:22 and a little he put a little milk in it
3:24 just a little milk for me the guy was
3:26 very stressed behind the counter too he
3:28 was I think the machines broke out they
3:30 were trying to catch up
3:32 I am already getting a little bit of a
3:34 my heart is palpitating out of my chest
3:37 definitely a Cool vibe through this area
3:44 all right we're gonna carry we're gonna
3:44 Walk This Way yeah we're just gonna do a
3:46 little a little walking tour there's a
3:48 little weekend Market going on over here
3:51 we got a little farmer's market veggies
3:54 and fruits along this little section
3:55 very nice yeah take a look at these
3:57 these Panthers right here along the side
3:59 of the road are two cats that are like
4:02 giving a friendly embrace
4:05 have you ever ridden one of these bikes
4:06 Jay these City bikes I have not they
4:09 call them City bikes definitely not
4:11 not a scooter though now we're going to
4:14 be going by a spot that I remember very
4:16 well
4:18 that looks very similar to this
4:19 neighborhood but this is not the
4:21 neighborhood but every time I see a
4:22 stoop like this
4:23 I think of The Cosby Show so I think
4:26 we're kind of in the same area
4:29 except this is not the block
4:31 I grew up with The Cosby Show
4:33 but where we're going is Carrie
4:36 Bradshaw's apartment
4:38 from Sex in the City which I think is
4:39 right up here oh I almost it's even
4:41 marked on the map oh it's on the you
4:43 actually you actually search it on the
4:45 yeah it actually comes up on Google
4:46 Kerry Bradshaw's apartment when I said
4:49 Carrie Bradshaw you were like tit you
4:50 were like Terry Bradshaw Patrol yeah the
4:53 Steelers
5:09 oh yeah accepting little donations here
5:09 to take a photo or video so I'm going to
5:11 throw a buck in
5:12 a couple bucks
5:15 so I'm kind of wonder when we get over
5:16 to the Cosby stoop if I'll be able to
5:19 sit on the stairs it has been a dream of
5:21 mine since I was young
5:23 sit on the stairs yeah and this looks
5:25 very similar to the
5:32 Claire Huxtable were I have to be honest
5:32 I haven't seen every episode of sex the
5:34 city but I've seen a lot in the early
5:36 2000s I dated a girl that was obsessed
5:38 with this show so whether I liked it or
5:41 not
5:42 I watched the show
5:44 you got to know it yeah very very very
5:46 very well
5:59 this is obviously a very popular tourist
5:59 attraction through here
6:01 how many people are stopping to get
6:03 photos
6:05 look how many people are stopping to get
6:07 photos here
6:09 kind of reminds me of South Pasadena oh
6:13 yeah
6:22 all right and since they asked
6:22 and it says it's a good cause okay yeah
6:24 I I thought I had something smaller than
6:26 a 20. I kind of wish I had like a five
6:28 but I I want to throw the 20 in there so
6:31 just because we stood out front and
6:33 gawked we gawked for a while you get the
6:36 next one Jay I got the next one you get
6:38 the next one yeah
6:40 it's for the pets
6:48 I think the last time I paid 20 to take
6:48 a photo something I was on Hollywood
6:49 Boulevard and there was someone with a
6:51 dirty fake Mickey suit on you believe we
6:53 shared a coffee at Carrie's house no
6:55 cheers to Carrie's house and yeah we
6:58 gave pets money yeah for a good
7:01 experience yeah I haven't really seen
7:03 Sex in the City never seen any of them
7:05 I've maybe maybe I don't know it was a
7:07 long time ago maybe I think it's
7:10 streaming it's cool though I've heard
7:11 it's so iconic it came back and I've
7:13 heard they're not so good the new one
7:15 yeah they came back they brought it back
7:17 and I've heard it wasn't why they always
7:18 bring stuff back
7:19 sometimes I come back student Stephen
7:21 King that's a lot better where's that
7:23 house yeah this is a full on
7:26 tourist attractions are here this is a
7:29 full-on tourist attraction look at this
7:30 it is
7:31 look at this
7:33 I had no idea
7:35 I'm sure this neighbor over here loves
7:36 it I'm sure people who love who live
7:38 here love it probably not this is a
7:41 pretty epic view right over here
7:44 take a look down there
7:51 appropriate that I'm standing in front
7:52 of this building because I'm hanging out
7:54 with them with a friend today I'll be
7:56 there for you when the rain starts to
7:58 fall yeah when the rain falls
8:00 thankfully there's no clouds up there
8:02 yet so I was recently on the Warner
8:04 Ranch and also the the prince Fountain
8:06 has been moved from the Warner Ranch
8:08 over to Warner Brothers property and has
8:10 been saved
8:13 this right here does not need safe this
8:15 is the friend's apartment
8:17 right here
8:18 corner of Grove Street and Bedford
8:21 thank you and like the other spot we
8:22 were just at there's a real beehive of
8:24 activist activity right here actually
8:27 behind us was like there's like 20
8:29 people I should probably move out of the
8:30 way there's a little diner right below
8:32 it's called The Little Owl and I had to
8:34 look up online to remember which of the
8:36 friends lived here almost all of them I
8:38 believe except for Ross lived here but a
8:40 bit Rachel Joey Chandler and Monica
8:42 lived and Tampa Jay and I were
8:45 discussing we don't know which level
8:47 they lived on yeah so there's one floor
8:49 there second floor there third four five
8:52 is six stories
8:55 I'm not up on all my
8:57 friends knowledge I probably I question
9:00 does anyone know the answer I've
9:02 probably seen 25 episodes of friends 25
9:05 I'd say I'm about I'm about right there
9:07 one thing I will say I do like about
9:09 friends is they love coffee oh there was
9:12 the one up there was uh Central Perk
9:14 Central Park there was the one episode
9:15 that Robin Williams was on Central Perk
9:17 That's a classic oh yeah
9:19 so you can see there's a lot of people
9:21 over here I found an article online that
9:23 said across the way
9:25 I was trying to go in front of them real
9:28 quick but right over here is where
9:30 Ross's apartment was right over in this
9:34 area which was like next to it
9:36 so right here
9:39 at 12 21 Grove Street
9:43 also the ugly naked guy lived here
9:47 again not sure if it was on the upper
9:49 levels for lower levels
9:51 I always love seeing all the taxis going
9:54 by
9:55 yeah that was Ross's
9:58 we have Ross's building you think he's
10:01 home I don't know let's go knock on the
10:03 door
10:08 I like the the door the the birds are
10:08 chirping
10:09 there's people in there I don't know I
10:11 don't see a Roth yeah his ugly naked guy
10:14 in there
10:16 ugly naked guy in there in the basement
10:17 oh he's down there
10:22 yeah look at look at this over here Jay
10:22 and I also just discussing there's
10:24 things that are in there's things
10:25 that in shows that would never be done
10:27 nowadays unless you're Mel Brooks Mel
10:30 Brooks but other than Mel Brooks Noah
10:32 would call a character
10:33 ugly naked guy a heavyweight man a heavy
10:36 over overweight man with his shirt off
10:40 yeah fat shaving was a little bit
10:42 different back just called okay even
10:44 even five years ago 10 years ago
10:47 that was so hilarious I could have
10:48 played that role let's be honest I could
10:50 have totally played the the that role I
10:53 could have been cast I could have been
10:56 famous
10:58 blew right through that stop sign
11:00 stop was that Joey that was Joey all
11:03 right I've moved into the neighborhood
11:05 along with all these other stickers
11:07 where people other tourists have come
11:09 and placed all their stuff the pole over
11:11 there also but right here where's it at
11:13 there's me
11:14 I am now part also that fish in that
11:17 Sushi and all these other ones are now
11:21 part of the friends neighborhood I'm
11:24 vicariously a friend
11:31 all right
11:31 friends to the end oh wait that's a
11:34 different one close enough
11:37 I'll be there for you I like how you did
11:40 like a fake laugh and then you did a
11:42 real laugh and they totally boast
11:43 sounded completely different I was
11:44 trying to do the Chucky doll oh the
11:46 Chucky doll that's Chicago that's
11:48 Chicago right oh yeah the windy city we
11:50 were there like a year ago
11:52 look at this guy's coming through I
11:54 don't have hockey sticks
11:56 is that Chandler Go Lightning
11:59 that was a challenge we have 30 seconds
12:02 to cross this road here on Leroy Street
12:04 that's going to turn into Saint Luke's
12:07 remember how a minute ago I was
12:09 mentioning another show
12:11 that that neighborhood back out there
12:13 that Carrie Bradshaw neighborhood
12:15 reminding me of
12:17 well that neighborhood I am now coaching
12:19 in it's interesting in the show the
12:21 fictional address was 10
12:24 stigwood
12:26 and the reason they use the tin is
12:29 because technically the real address
12:31 is 10
12:34 on the road that I'm about to turn into
12:35 St Luke's
12:36 so instead of changing the address
12:39 they just utilize the 10 and it should
12:42 be right up here
12:49 which isn't too far from the other two
12:49 spots
12:50 we were just on
12:52 and when I think of you know 80s TV
12:55 shows
13:00 this would probably be one of my number
13:00 ones I like TGIF obviously
13:02 Family Matters perfect strangers but
13:05 predating that
13:06 The Cosby Show
13:08 which I noticed you know
13:10 Bill did some really awful things that
13:13 really have nothing to do with the
13:16 the show itself
13:23 where is 10 here's 12. next one over
13:26 I don't really want to talk about that
13:27 very frowned upon that's 11.
13:30 for obvious reasons no it's right here
13:39 then right here this is it
13:44 now interesting story when I used to
13:44 watch that show I would talk to my mom
13:46 and dad watch a show say one day I want
13:48 to go to the stoop and sit on the stoop
13:53 in fact
13:55 back in the day at MGM Studios when they
13:58 branched off a New York Ave and they
14:00 created the San Francisco area became
14:02 streets of America they had an area kind
14:04 of like this and I would go there I
14:06 remember my sister and I went and I got
14:08 a photo on the stoop and I would go I'm
14:10 on The Cosby stoop when really I wasn't
14:12 so this has been a kind of a lifelong
14:14 thing for me wanting to see this in real
14:18 life and just unlike the Sex and the
14:20 City one
14:21 you could actually sit on this one and
14:23 there they'll just you could just sit
14:25 right here on
14:28 Claire
14:30 Cliff Rudy
14:36 the whole the whole cast of characters
14:36 right here Theo
14:39 no they did not film The Interiors on
14:41 here it was just the exteriors but shown
14:43 in almost every single episode and much
14:46 like the family matters house that has
14:48 been torn down
14:49 in Chicago
14:51 they filmed this from every possible
14:53 angle from this angle from over there
14:56 from down the way looking at it like
15:00 this
15:07 you know Cliff was a doctor
15:07 and he had some money and I would
15:08 imagine this is a very expensive pad to
15:11 own number nine is gutted out in there
15:14 number nine is a hard hat area and it
15:16 goes sequentially down the way so nine
15:19 eight seven six and this is 10 11 12 13
15:23 14. this is the angle right here
15:34 I'm kind of wondering I would imagine
15:34 the show's not even on streaming anymore
15:35 probably kind of like how Duke's a
15:37 hazard isn't it maybe it is though maybe
15:39 it holds up and maybe the The Legend of
15:43 the show will outlive
15:45 the person that was in the show well
15:47 obviously it will because Bill will
15:48 eventually pass away but as far as you
15:51 know what he did versus the show itself
15:53 maybe it'll be withstanding the test of
15:56 time as a as a great show and
15:59 outlive the uh outlive the artist
16:04 that did not good things
16:06 what's what what's separating the art
16:08 from the artist right or the I think
16:10 that's what the person from the artist
16:12 so that's kind of where I'm going
16:14 without it I'm not the best at wording
16:16 things but yeah
16:27 the classic television show The Cosby
16:29 Show the huxtables right here and now
16:33 I'm gonna sit on these steps sit on the
16:35 stoop
16:43 this is amazing
16:43 it doesn't seem like much but it's
16:45 pretty it's pretty awesome this is
16:46 something I've thought about for like 30
16:49 years 40 years wow 30 years
16:53 and I did it
16:59 I doubt that Claire and Cliff are home
16:59 at the moment you know that Claire
17:01 Huxtable was in Dinosaur the ride
17:04 oh yes we rode that together not too
17:06 long ago yeah
17:08 he told me a unique story about that too
17:10 what was the story I remember like I
17:13 can't remember but you were you were
17:14 like telling me
17:16 she was Mrs Huxtable
17:18 that's not her name on the ride but the
17:20 actress Felicity of a shot who was
17:23 engaged live on TV to Ahmad Rashad yeah
17:40 did you bring any Jello oh that was that
17:40 was his commercials awesome it's to put
17:42 it New Coke New Coke was advertised on
17:45 The Cosby Show no no New Coke was
17:48 advertised by Bill it only lasted like a
17:51 month
17:52 pudding and New Coke as far as I know
17:54 we're never in this show yeah people
17:56 ride it with new Coke yeah
18:03 I almost want to knock on the door see
18:03 if Theo's home I always like Theo
18:06 Malcolm Jamal Warner Malcolm Jamal
18:11 Warner that's the actor and the show was
18:13 actually filmed not in La unlike friends
18:16 which was down the way just actually the
18:18 friend's apartment is around the corner
18:19 but this was filmed in Queens and
18:23 somewhere else in New York before it
18:24 moved to Queens so
18:25 it was all a new york-based show
18:28 exterior and Interiors okay yeah a lot
18:31 of shows are in LA
18:33 this one was all NYC all right Gabe my
18:36 photo phone to Tampa Jay took some quick
18:38 little photos as well so I got the video
18:40 and I got the photos
18:42 pretty dang cool
18:49 all right I did it moving on
18:49 NYC pigeon
18:52 it's an NYC pigeon
18:55 taxis everywhere somebody head over now
18:58 to the hotel broslin there's not a lot
19:01 of location that's quite from this next
19:03 film I'm going to show it's kind of a
19:04 cult horror film called Basket Case
19:06 Belial the hotel Brazil there's only
19:09 like two spots so it doesn't really
19:10 designate its own video so I figure I'm
19:12 gonna throw it into this
19:14 2008 or maybe like 2008 or nine maybe
19:17 ten I was on tour and we tried going
19:19 through one of the tunnels like this and
19:21 because you had an RV maybe it was the
19:23 Holland Tunnel they wouldn't let us go
19:25 through we had to go over the bridge
19:27 because when you have an RV there's
19:29 propane and they wouldn't let us go
19:30 through let me tell you driving through
19:33 New York City at an RV with a trailer on
19:36 the back with musical equipment in it
19:37 not enjoyable very stressful this trip I
19:41 am enjoying this a heck of a lot more
19:43 not having a vehicle
19:45 okay we've arrived over to 2 Hubert
19:47 Street number 151 so there were two
19:50 spots that stood in for for the hotel
19:52 where Belial and his brother he was
19:55 attached to the size for the alert
20:01 but they put the hotel broslin sign
20:01 right here on this fire escape
20:07 and then as soon as they were done
20:07 filming the scene they took it down I
20:09 don't know where that neon sign is today
20:11 but this is where the hotel Brazen you
20:13 can kind of even see the very unique
20:16 concrete trim there etched out so right
20:19 up there I don't want to give too many
20:20 Spore this movie's been out for decades
20:22 so if you haven't seen it spoiler alert
20:25 before I show the photo how the movie
20:26 ends so spoiler alert if you haven't
20:29 seen the this cult classic horror but
20:31 yeah I'm about to show stuff like that
20:32 might might spoil the film for you
20:34 pretty dramatic ending so spoiler alert
20:37 spoiler alert yeah so here is the ending
20:40 and right there you can see the trim you
20:42 can see the fire escape oh yeah and you
20:44 might even be able to see where they
20:45 even drilled it into the side it was
20:47 like kind of hanging right on the side
20:48 there
20:50 now we're going to go to the other spot
20:51 where the check-in desk from the hotel
20:53 broslin was also this is a deep cut for
20:56 all the poor aficionados out there I
20:58 would imagine maybe three people
21:00 watching this have even seen the film
21:02 but yeah I just kind of wanted to show
21:04 it doesn't really equate to its own full
21:05 video but right up there was the hotel
21:08 Brosnan sign
21:09 I don't know I get excited about like
21:11 weird stuff like this beware of Belial
21:13 Jay he's up there
21:15 beware of Belial he's a creature what is
21:19 a creature a feature they're Belial
21:24 what was the room room seven I think it
21:27 was room seven all right pulled up the
21:29 movie poster they did it in room seven
21:31 is very small very twisted and very mad
21:34 he's not looking through the shades
21:35 looking through a basket basket case I
21:38 actually have this on Blu-ray and I have
21:40 part two and three on Blu-ray oh wow so
21:42 I can watch this ending but I don't want
21:44 to give spoilers for it but I'm sure no
21:45 one would probably even heed my warning
21:47 or even watch the film that hasn't
21:49 already seen it
21:50 in Crystal Clear HD could see what
21:54 happened at the end right there beware
21:56 some of the Falls of the Lion
21:59 no he doesn't fall
22:00 he doesn't pop oh there's another scene
22:02 where uh
22:03 the brother is running naked through the
22:06 streets I would I don't I don't know
22:07 where the heck that would have been
22:08 there's just some full-on wasn't that
22:10 friends
22:12 oh that's right it was Chandler and
22:13 while we're in the neighborhood gonna go
22:15 over to the Ghostbusters Firehouse one
22:18 of your favorite places in existence
22:20 it's my favorite movie of all time yeah
22:22 this will be like my fifth time here and
22:25 every time I go up I just like yeah I'm
22:27 like a kid in a candy store you've
22:28 covered it in great detail many many
22:30 times so let's go see I've been there
22:32 one time but it's been like 10 years so
22:34 I'm ready to go share the excitement
22:35 When in Rome are you gonna call
22:37 Ghostbusters and just around the corner
22:39 oh you can hear the subway
22:42 hear the subway going underneath there
22:46 wow last time I was here this building
22:49 wasn't even here that's all new that was
22:51 like a lot
22:53 they refreshed
22:59 Ghostbusters Firehouse the exteriors or
22:59 Interiors are in LA in fact I've been
23:01 able to get inside a couple times
23:03 but this is the exteriors whatever one
23:05 you know the one in La is the skid row
23:08 and a lot of people don't even realize
23:09 they fill me Interiors in L.A but the
23:12 Exteriors right here at NYC
23:16 and this officer is backing in
23:20 take a look
23:22 at this iconic movie location
23:25 it's been about a decade since I stood
23:27 in front of this is the Ghostbuster sign
23:29 always there not always we got lucky I
23:32 think they've been filming perhaps the
23:34 new movie so they've been setting it out
23:35 more but it's become more of a thing
23:37 lately yeah yeah a couple times I've
23:38 been here it wasn't even out they have
23:40 the Ghostbusters 2 sign inside the doors
23:43 are closed but if they were open you
23:45 would see the actual screen use
23:46 Ghostbusters Tucson is on the wall
23:49 Inside the Fire Station
23:51 would you say Ghostbusters is your
23:52 all-time favorite movie it is my
23:53 all-time favorite movie yes
23:55 I'm gonna put it in my top top 50 top
23:58 50. I like it yeah but it's definitely
24:00 not my favorite it's not it's not a
24:01 perfect movie it's just neither is Back
24:03 to the Future neither is E.T yeah but
24:06 it's got that humor and I grew up with
24:08 the cartoons and that got me into it I
24:10 mean I just did Superman yesterday that
24:11 is far from a perfect movie yeah more
24:13 flaws and you can shake a stick at but
24:15 it's all about Nostalgia it's Nostalgia
24:17 it's hilarious
24:19 yeah I definitely like it
24:21 it's just I would never I would probably
24:22 not win a trivia contest
24:25 uh amongst other Ghostbuster fans I
24:27 would not be the top winner oh okay oh
24:30 some people just started walking in
24:54 wow
24:54 oh yeah look at all the patches right up
24:57 here
25:11 that's cool
25:11 fire station look at this yes
25:14 wow they got the Tucson lit up right
25:18 look at the marshmallows they have the
25:20 steakhouse third time you can buy a
25:22 t-shirt here
25:23 that's pretty cool you can buy
25:25 merchandise you ever bought merchandise
25:27 from here no I thought about it though
25:29 they do so yeah they sell t-shirts
25:32 ladder eight it's got the uh ghost there
25:35 with the howl again one cool thing about
25:37 being inside is you were able to to see
25:40 the front of the fire truck itself with
25:42 the eight on the side of it but you can
25:44 also see the stairway that they did not
25:46 use in the movie obviously the Interiors
25:48 they did not use but they really have it
25:49 decked out with Ghostbuster stuff
25:51 inside as well
25:53 ladder eight
25:55 FDNY
25:57 and back out front
25:59 there's a ghost right there
26:21 yeah I'm glad this just so happened to
26:23 be on the Walking path
26:25 Ghostbusters Firehouse first time seeing
26:27 it in the last 10 years nice
26:30 and looks like Tampa Jay got himself a
26:33 little souvenir
26:35 did you buy one
26:37 twenty dollars well spent yeah of course
26:40 souvenir so we have both coughed up 20
26:43 bucks today although I got a t-shirt you
26:46 I got a photo I got a video I got a
26:48 video what's the backside oh there we go
26:51 there we go nice yeah it's cool isn't it
26:53 it is cool you have to use this logo
26:55 same logo yeah I got the ghost holding
26:58 that's what they call a house and I'm
27:00 also in the Ghostbusters neighborhood
27:02 now
27:03 as well
27:08 right amongst
27:08 Chucky
27:11 brought some stickers with me I never
27:13 put stickers on anything unless like
27:15 there's already like 50 stickers already
27:17 planted on something
27:19 I don't know that's my justification to
27:21 putting a sticker on something who's got
27:23 the Twinkies that's a big Twinkie that's
27:26 one of my favorite lines I remember they
27:28 were Twinkies yeah
27:30 we came we saw we kicked her we kicked
27:32 this egg yeah I can't say that one okay
27:34 a block or so away from where we just
27:36 were we're on Franklin Street
27:39 and the address is 80 Franklin next well
27:42 it's inside the shop is always open
27:45 number 80. this was the hotel Roslin
27:49 from basket case there's a new Fresh
27:52 coat of paint here oh well maybe not
27:54 Fresh coat of paper they have the to go
27:56 in arrows so right inside there is an
28:00 elevator that would lead to the top and
28:03 a little bit of photographic trickery
28:06 they built the check-in desk
28:10 where the basket carrying Belial was
28:12 right through this door Yeah so
28:14 basically when you walked in the front
28:15 so where the guy behind the counter is
28:17 checkout time is 12 noon that was built
28:21 inside a rickety old elevator I think
28:23 when you watch the Blu-ray special
28:25 edition I think the one of The Producers
28:27 the director comes back and shows this
28:29 but even since he was here that
28:31 completely remodeled it so he walked in
28:33 and he couldn't even see the elevator
28:35 they just built like a deck they put the
28:37 desk right in the elevator they put up
28:39 some fake wood around it to make it look
28:40 like it was a check-in area which is
28:42 really weird but that's the front
28:43 entrance so we're standing right at the
28:44 front
28:45 the hotel well you know what it could be
28:48 that door see that lip I'm talking about
28:49 oh yeah
28:50 okay so that says 80. and that says 80.
28:54 now there's no speaker box there in the
28:56 movie
28:57 you see that little lip could be that I
29:00 don't know I don't want to walk up on
29:01 this because I think I think it's wet
29:02 wet paint but it appears as if so
29:06 there's two 80s there's this one and
29:07 there's this one I think you're right I
29:09 think it might be this one because I
29:11 think behind those doors is the elevator
29:13 oh yeah there's there's something right
29:16 through there yeah we're thinking it
29:18 might be
29:19 hello
29:20 yeah watch out fresh paint
29:24 they just look it's kind of trippy I
29:25 could see two or three of my Reflections
29:27 in here whoa so there's me and then
29:31 Belial is the secondary Shadow version
29:33 of myself and you're you and there's a
29:36 version of Tampa jabal aisle connected
29:38 to you as well oh look who happens to be
29:40 in the neighborhood
29:42 look who happens to be here next to the
29:45 big apartment we're walking by this
29:48 Tampa Jay goes wait this looks familiar
29:51 looked it up
29:53 and this was Tom Hanks apartment right
29:54 here in big I always felt like they need
29:58 to make a sequel to big little no from
30:01 the scenario of the girlfriend and how
30:05 messed up her head must have been at the
30:08 end of the movie when she lets a
30:09 full-grown man out and then the the
30:12 youngin turns back and gives her like
30:15 the little she has like the baggy
30:17 clothes on yeah what kind of
30:19 psychiatrist do you need to see to
30:22 rectify that situation
30:24 I'm putting it out there poor girl big
30:27 two needs to happen
30:31 1988 maybe they'll do like a great movie
30:33 40th anniversary
30:36 that's a long way off man that's like
30:37 seven five years away 35th first someone
30:40 ride it yeah take a look at that I don't
30:42 know what's going on in there
30:44 very interesting art project
30:46 a lot of murals through here here's
30:48 Prince oh yeah
31:04 I think she was that pizza place right
31:04 there says a buck 50 for a regular slice
31:07 of pie that's not a bad deal at some
31:09 point while we're both here we need to
31:11 get some pizza but today we're gonna get
31:12 pastrami cats corner of
31:16 Ludlow nice old school
31:20 type Neon right here
31:29 the sweet neon in the front of the
31:30 window there
31:49 are we doing self-service or table
31:49 service
31:55 so it says order at last counter order
31:55 sandwiches there we also have Dr Brown's
31:59 soda
32:12 there is an artistic rendering of the
32:12 neon persuasion looking as who is going
32:16 to make my sandwich I think Jay and I
32:18 are going to get the same thing what a
32:20 cool crisp
32:22 25.95 and change for a pastrami sandwich
32:25 online
32:30 could possibly be the most expensive
32:30 sandwich I will ever consume I hope it's
32:33 the best sandwich you've ever had
32:59 and you pay after the fact that this
32:59 little ticket it's like a parking ticket
33:00 almost for like a
33:02 receipt a little layered mine with some
33:04 mustard they both got we got pretty much
33:07 exactly the same thing thank you
33:15 there's a two
33:15 I think we're gonna get some pickles
33:16 awesome
33:31 all right thank you thanks buddy all
33:31 right appreciate it
33:37 got it let me be careful
33:37 so it looks like they were sitting right
33:39 in the middle of the restaurant and that
33:40 is the same Grill and everything that's
33:43 back over there in there they're 108.
33:51 they had a soda sign right here and that
33:51 was the backdrop right there so it means
33:53 they would have been sitting oh here it
33:54 is right here look at this
33:56 where Harry Met Sally hope you have what
33:59 she had enjoy it was right here in the
34:03 center of the restaurant
34:09 I ended up getting a water here past
34:09 Deli water established 1888 a couple
34:12 different styles of pickles it looks
34:14 like cucumbers and actual Dills maybe
34:16 some sweet pickles in there and this is
34:20 what we're dealing with this is the
34:22 probably probably the priceiest sandwich
34:24 I think I've ever seen and they do throw
34:27 a lot of meat on them it's like eating a
34:29 big steak
34:46 oh yeah whatever brand of mustard
34:46 they're using tastes really good
34:48 it's kind of like a mix between regular
34:51 mustard like a spicy Brown I believe
34:54 it's homemade I think they make homemade
34:55 pretty good
34:58 all right for sure I think it's because
35:00 I haven't been eating a whole lot lately
35:02 but when I finish this other second half
35:04 I am going to be so incredibly full
35:06 looking at some of the photos on the
35:07 wall here's John Favreau here created a
35:10 Mandalorian one of the executive
35:12 producers of Mandalorian her Sandler
35:14 over here Anthony Bourdain Chow Down in
35:18 here as well
35:19 Gooding Junior
35:22 oh take a look at this
35:29 yeah Sandler okay
35:29 Danny Glover
35:31 one thing I've learned about Danny
35:33 Glover he's too old for this ass oh this
35:36 is awesome Dom DeLuise
35:39 oh uh Rob Ryder
35:47 man this is awesome Joaquin Phoenix on
35:47 top
35:48 holy cow okay everybody in here
35:58 there you go also John C Ryan Roger
35:58 Moore Charlie Rose oh wow
36:06 no not Roger Moore that's Chad Rogers
36:06 from James Bond Michael Moore Michael
36:09 Moore totally different guy totally
36:12 different thing
36:13 Tyson
36:15 I bet I can see the Roger Moore exactly
36:18 it was a bond yeah I know you like
36:20 double 07 but I don't yeah dude I've
36:25 been up a long time oh uh
36:28 Uma Uma Thurman right there yeah both
36:31 are still there Jerry
36:34 wow that's Keanu up top
36:37 right there look who's next to it Billy
36:40 Zane oh the pawns Winkler the pawns he's
36:42 our friend look at this Hacksaw Jim Duke
36:44 in Orlando yeah and then over here the
36:48 guy from Lord of the Rings
36:50 also in Back to the Future too for a
36:53 brief moment oh yeah he's the kid
36:54 playing the video game the baby's toy so
36:57 I'm looking over here I can't remember
36:58 this guy's name but he was in a lot of
37:00 episodes of Three's Company
37:06 okay
37:06 gosh I can't remember his name
37:15 Ron Jeremy right there
37:21 just a heads up
37:21 if you lose your ticket in there it's a
37:24 fifty dollar fee so when you go to pay
37:26 even though you're on the same ticket
37:29 if each person that walks in must submit
37:31 the ticket at the counter at the end or
37:33 it's a 50 extra charge even
37:37 if it's on the one ticket which is kind
37:39 of how we did it so don't lose your
37:41 ticket I didn't lose my ticket if I'd
37:44 have lost a ticket it would have been an
37:45 extra 50 charge
37:47 all right I think we're glad we got here
37:49 at the right time because the line has
37:50 gone down the sideline really lengthy
37:54 is like stretched down the road
37:57 for cats yeah that's definitely a unique
38:00 building one over here is kind of like
38:02 twisted and going upward and then this
38:05 one
38:06 has a little connector piece between it
38:08 a little walkway
38:10 thank you
38:24 I was up in there the other day Jay was
38:24 up in there a couple years ago when he
38:25 was here
38:27 do you ever think of Large Marge when
38:29 you think of Empire State Building oh no
38:31 like a garbage truck
38:34 Ed off the Empire State Building
38:45 creeper oh
38:45 my favorite part of that movie is Hogan
38:47 Hogan yeah Hogan in the movie theater
38:50 remember the movie theater screen is
38:51 playing oh yeah and then they break it
38:53 and then Hogan like gets up from the
38:55 seat
38:55 and he does a spiel about how they need
38:57 to get
38:59 yes great
39:01 film any of the Interiors in here except
39:03 maybe the lobby though no they just yeah
39:05 they just showed him going through the
39:06 door here that is an impressive view
39:08 right there isn't it beautiful Batman
39:10 Begins With Burton also right no back oh
39:13 no that was Batman Returns Batman
39:15 Returns this is the Bateman movies or uh
39:18 gosh they're gonna go with the names
39:19 again Jason Bateman not Jason
39:22 Justine Bateman oh it's been a long day
39:26 Batman Begins was the Nolan movies I'm
39:30 thinking of uh Christian Dale Bale was
39:32 Batman Begins yep Batman Begins uh The
39:35 Dark Knight The Dark Knight Rises man
39:37 there's a lot of Batmans a lot of Batman
39:39 the first one is my favorite the first
39:40 one's my favorite 89 Michael Keaton yeah
39:42 also Michael Keaton's coming back in the
39:44 flash that's what I heard you want to
39:46 get nuts
39:47 let's get nuts
39:53 so we're gonna end with a Ghostbuster
39:53 scene
40:00 definitely iconic the beginning
40:00 the original Ghostbusters in front of
40:02 this building
40:04 it all began right here
40:07 it is the New York Public Library
40:15 so that's is that the that's the
40:15 sculpture
40:24 the northernmost line right there kind
40:24 of does a pan down like that yeah
40:26 man it's so awesome another steam pipe
40:30 coming up from below the ground
40:37 that's right come on that's off some
40:37 steam
40:38 in it looks
40:46 when you turn it
40:46 I have a blanket in a pillow my friend
40:48 is dead tired all right now we're
40:50 walking back to the hotel
40:53 Jay you're now a part of it this is
40:55 beautiful New York
41:01 you can make it here you can make it
41:01 anywhere that's true you got that it's
41:03 up to you right there in the Empire
41:05 State Building to the left
41:08 Times Square way often the distance over
41:11 there we should go over to Times Square
41:13 at like 3 A.M and just wander around
41:15 I've actually been there at 3am it's
41:17 pretty scary
41:18 let's not do that I was wearing a hockey
41:21 mess too
41:24 really hard
41:26 all right guys
41:28 are we ending the videos together I
41:30 think so all right I'm in mine first
41:32 okay go ahead all right
41:34 let's kind of do it for today I'll see
41:35 you in the next video
41:37 let me show you the
41:39 Empire State Building there as well yeah
41:41 right there beautiful
41:44 I'll see the next video the Vlog
41:46 is over
