Big Changes Finally Coming To Disney World - Park Reservations & Price Drops / My First Visit 2023

0:26 directly behind me it is very

0:28 interesting to not see all the Christmas

0:30 decor up in the tree up and the lights

0:32 up and the snow falling the holidays are

0:34 over and already almost halfway into the

0:37 first month

0:38 of the new year and I will be going to

0:41 my first Disney park

0:43 of 2023

0:45 and I'm excited

0:48 not necessarily just to go into the park

0:49 because I am meeting up with some French

0:51 friends

0:53 which will be awesome but also Disney

0:56 has announced

0:58 quite a few good things that are that

1:00 are formulating

1:03 this could be a good year providing you

1:04 to join me

1:06 looking at the clock here is a little

1:08 after 8 30. I believe rope drop was at

1:10 nine at Magic Kingdom where I have the

1:12 reservation

1:13 and I'm just going to sit here and stand

1:15 here until the minute hand bicycle moved

1:22 Disney has announced an opening date for

1:22 Tron at Magic Kingdom and they've also

1:25 stated that in the next coming months

1:27 there will be no reservations needed for

1:30 weekdays for annual pass holders

1:32 which is going to be pretty dang awesome

1:34 which I think is a step in the right

1:36 direction for removing reservations

1:38 completely down the road I believe

1:40 Disneyland announced that they're going

1:42 to start putting magic keys back on sale

1:43 which means wdw soon might put annual

1:47 passes

1:49 back on sale now granted there's a lot

1:51 of things that need to be changed in my

1:53 opinion in my humble opinion but I think

1:55 this is like I said a step in the right

1:57 direction

1:58 there it goes okay it's going okay time

2:00 for me to go it has been an

2:01 overwhelmingly positive

2:03 for news the last couple of days

2:17 April well I'm not coming back but Tron

2:17 life cycle run will be opening also

2:19 happily ever after is making a

2:22 reappearance at Magic Kingdom

2:24 and not even into April starting now a

2:26 couple days ago when they announced it

2:28 no more parking fees at the resorts if

2:31 you're staying there something they

2:32 implemented a few years ago that not

2:33 many people were happy about

2:39 and the harmonious barges and the

2:39 harmonious show nighttime spectacular at

2:42 Epcot

2:43 is going away

2:45 all the things I mentioned I think the

2:47 overwhelming majority are pretty happy

2:50 with including myself they have not put

2:52 a date stamp on it yet but I was

2:53 referring to the annual pass holder No

2:55 Reservations within the next few months

2:58 according to Disney which basically

3:00 means Magic Kingdom on the weekends will

3:02 not apply but weekdays and all the other

3:05 Parks even on the weekend

3:07 in the next month or two any annual pass

3:09 holder does not have blackout days we'll

3:11 be able to go in after 2 p.m without a

3:13 reservation like I said the wheels are

3:15 in motion and of course when a wheel is

3:17 turning it usually means

3:19 that progress is being made and you're

3:21 heading somewhere like I'm heading to

3:23 Magic Kingdom so if the wheels are

3:25 turning with the reservation system does

3:26 that mean down the road possibly in 2023

3:30 at some point there will be no more

3:31 reservations

3:33 I'm gonna I hope so I think it's gonna

3:35 happen I think it'll happen now over the

3:37 next series of days weeks or even the

3:39 short tenure of the next few months a

3:40 lot more changes come about

3:42 but I think everyone realizes that the

3:44 newly brought back management well the

3:47 management system that's in place now in

3:48 the last since late last year

3:51 means business for example where the

3:53 trams come back to the two parks where

3:55 trams are currently not at Hollywood

3:57 Studios and Epcot the only trams are

4:00 here at Magic Kingdom and at Animal

4:02 Kingdom you know just little things that

4:04 let's say the magic has been waning a

4:06 little bit lately but it really has

4:12 and tramps going to pick out more guests

4:12 taking them to TTC also this is my first

4:14 visit in 2023. things are already better

4:17 than last year all about bringing a

4:19 little bit of that magic back bit by bit

4:23 piece by piece so a long way to go

4:25 obviously

4:27 but when people aren't happy

4:31 then the

4:31 the magic wanes I don't even know I'm

4:33 using that word

4:34 correctly

4:40 like I said step in the right direction

4:40 you look you look a little happier today

4:43 fit in the past

4:45 heavy metal Mickey I can tell on your

4:47 face a few years ago if you told me that

4:49 everyone including myself would be

4:51 hoping for a day when there were no

4:57 I don't know if I would have believed

4:57 you you had to make a reservation to go

4:58 into a park after you already had an

4:59 annual pass or a ticket

5:01 but that's what we're waiting for I also

5:03 got my little cardboard sleeve because

5:05 this this is definitely a piping hot

5:07 caffeinated beverage from Joffrey's

5:08 right behind me also the fact that

5:11 anybody cannot just buy an annual pasta

5:13 used to always be that by the annual

5:14 passes the other one they're selling

5:16 currently is the pixie dust pass which

5:19 basically is the one that Florida

5:21 residents Monday through Friday can get

5:23 no other annual pass holders are on sale

5:25 here unless you've been grandfathered in

5:26 I think that's going to change on to the

5:29 general Joe Potter I Am

5:32 reporting taking the ferry boat over

5:35 I'll probably take the monorail out let

5:37 me take the ferry boat I don't know it

5:38 was like the ferry boat in the kind of

5:40 after the experience going across seven

5:41 seas Lagoon it's just quite kind of a

5:42 nice Vibe yeah definitely a pretty full

5:46 city-wise Miami it's not full capacity

5:48 they're still like I said the

5:50 reservations are in place but there's

5:51 quite a few people on the boat here

5:53 going across seven seas all right that's

5:55 interesting the Christmas tree is still

5:58 up mid-January to the 12th of January

6:01 and the Christmas tree is still up on

6:03 Main Street and as I stand here looking

6:04 at the rivers of America that is not the

13:59 to Hollywood Studios can't park up till

14:02 two and it's not by two yeah but I think

14:04 at two o'clock I could park hop over

14:06 there so I might do that about 12 30

14:09 I cannot park hop in the studio until

14:12 technically 2 p.m something got started

14:14 with a reservation system so maybe

14:16 that'll change over time be nice to just

14:18 leave here and pop in at any time during

14:19 the day see what happens one of the

14:21 announcements I believe over in Anaheim

14:23 at Disneyland is in the very near future

14:25 you're going to be able to start Park

14:26 hopping at 11 A.M not at 1pm I think

14:30 right now currently it's 1 p.m out there

14:32 2 p.m here I'm gonna try something here

14:35 so it says the 12th

14:37 Mama Melrose over at Studios has a 150

14:42 now technically I'm not supposed to park

14:44 up till two but I guess if you have the

14:45 reservation maybe that's a hack I'm

14:47 gonna try it I think it's going to work

14:49 out and let me book it for 150 for Mama

14:51 Melrose I also pulled over here to the

14:53 speedway to get gas across from TTC

14:54 where it says fuel for every tank

14:57 so I think maybe I'll be able to get in

14:59 before two o'clock which is the cusp for

15:01 going in for Park hopping because I have

15:03 Mama Melrose for 150. three dollars and

15:06 nine cents a gallon here too with it now

15:08 being 1 p.m I won't have any issue go

15:11 with your parking just curious I'm going

15:12 to have an issue getting into the park

15:14 itself

15:16 so getting in here I just got to show my

15:18 annual pass and then Park and then

15:19 because I got the Mama Melrose

15:20 reservation should be able to get in

15:22 before the 2PM Park hopping costs I'm

15:24 just going to be meeting up with a

15:25 entire Cavalcade of friends today also

15:27 you can see spaceship earth over at

15:29 Epcot way over there and of course the

15:32 skyline running into Studios it seems

15:34 like there's quite a few people I

15:35 noticed the Magic Kingdom parking lot

15:37 was a little Fuller than it has been

15:38 recently even with the holidays over

15:41 so a lot of people going to the parks

15:43 it's hard to pick a favorite restaurant

15:45 here at Studios obviously the Brown

15:47 Derby is awesome sci-fi Diner is awesome

15:49 but I think I always kind of lean

15:50 towards Mama Melrose I don't know what

15:52 it is maybe it's the Italian food A

15:53 celebratory

15:55 dinner I don't know what I'm telling

15:57 well I've got some celebrating you know

15:59 good things on the horizon also I was

16:00 checking Disney stock today it's going

16:02 up again recently it took a big dip but

16:04 in the last five days it's gone back up

16:06 in the last five days it's gone up to

16:08 over 100 again you know as I'm showing

16:10 this I mean later they might drop but

16:12 it's gone up 7.5 8 in the last five days

16:16 after talking to Guest Services they

16:18 will not let me through the gates until

16:19 147 so I guess with Park hopping it's

16:22 not necessarily a two they have a 13

16:24 minute grace period so 147 I can go back

16:28 in and go over even with the Mama

16:29 Melrose I kind of try to persuade them

16:31 at Guest Services and it's kind of

16:33 interesting because Disneyland it's a

16:34 one I think they're going to push it

16:36 back to 11 the park hopping but here it

16:38 is a 2 p.m now if I had not gone to

16:40 Magic Kingdom first it just kind of like

16:42 omitted the Magic Kingdom visit I could

16:45 have I could have modified it and gone

16:46 in here early but if you scan into your

16:48 first Park you have to wait till at

16:49 least 13 minutes before two before going

16:52 in the park even with a dinner

16:53 reservation up up and away

16:57 this from a suggestion from the cast

16:58 member at Guest Services I said I'm not

17:01 supposed to just wait around for a half

17:02 hour in front of the gate she said I

17:05 have a suggestion just get on the

17:06 Skyliner and take the Skyliner back and

17:09 forth until it's time and now heading

17:10 back over and I got my own pod going

17:13 back as well when the cast member headed

17:15 back over from this little

17:16 Transportation Depot I don't know what

17:18 you refer to it's not like a

17:19 transmission ticket centers there are

17:20 tickets here but it's basically the

17:22 first stop they transfer from here over

17:24 to Epcot but I'm just going immediately

17:26 back at the D board and then reboard and

17:29 head back over to Studios the cast

17:31 member said how many and I said just one

17:33 there's only one and her quote was there

17:36 can only be one Highlander which I am
