0:18 but someone who owned those cars has a

0:20 more indepth feeling about what those

0:22 cars mean to them as well as me and you

0:26 who are watching this Vlog we get a

0:28 special feeling a vicarious feeling with

0:31 the people that own the car even though

0:33 their feeling is more passionate and

0:35 more strong because they have more

0:36 memories in those Vehicles we can still

0:38 look at those vehicles and actually pull

0:41 memories from our past things that we

0:43 have seen TV shows or friends who may

0:46 have owned those particular cars the

0:48 mind is a wonderful thing when it comes

0:50 to Memories it's my second channel daily

0:53 blog channel it's the daily woo and it's

0:56 the daily Monday tgim thank goodness

0:59 it's Monday today also is the 30th

1:04 Anniversary actually I think yesterday

1:06 was but let's just say this conglomerate

1:09 group of days in the last day or two

1:12 today and yesterday approximately today

1:15 is the 30th anniversary of the movie

1:18 Goonies a 1980

1:21 classic and I it made me think I got up

1:23 this morning and I saw on the interwebs

1:26 that it was the 30th anniversary of that

1:29 that fantastic film and I thought I

1:32 would do a vlog about how much I love

1:35 the80s not specifically The Goonies even

1:39 though I love The Goonies The Goonies

1:41 influence me in a lot of ways and I

1:43 think subconsciously it actually influen

1:46 me into starting to do Adventures going

1:50 out getting off the couch and actually

1:51 filming things doing things seeing the

1:54 world

1:56 exploring and I want to talk about the

1:58 80s Goonies

2:00 Never Say Die that was used in the movie

2:04 The Goonies the

2:05 1985 classic look at this house right

2:07 there it really doesn't look exactly

2:10 like The Goonies house but it is

2:12 something that you would probably see in

2:13 aoria Oregon like that sort of type of

2:18 house which is actually where The

2:19 Goonies were filmed and a lot of people

2:21 have asked you should go up to Oregon

2:22 and film the Goonies locations they are

2:25 actually doing right now they are doing

2:27 the 30th anniversary celebration and F F

2:30 of the film are flocking up there in

2:32 droves I did not choose to actually go

2:35 up there there's another movie that will

2:37 be celebrating 30 years this this year

2:40 as well actually there are a heck of a

2:42 lot of movies but Back to the Future

2:44 Part One

2:46 1985 2015 Back to the Future as my

2:49 favorite movie and you will find that

2:52 probably all 99% of my favorite movies

2:56 are from the 80s from the early 80s to

2:59 the late 80s in fact I would say most of

3:03 the movies I watch are

3:05 pre-1989 I have a very difficult time

3:08 watching anything post 1990 now this

3:12 does not mean I am against newer movies

3:14 or against any movies past 1990 I just

3:17 feel a special connection with movies

3:21 from the 80s and I don't know if any of

3:22 you out there actually feel the same way

3:25 and the goon's 30th Anniversary actually

3:28 made me think about this and wanted to

3:29 title this Vlog or at least the subject

3:32 of this Vlog to be about the80s I love

3:36 the80s Goonies Never say die so let's

3:42 think about that the80s and I really

3:44 would like to know is anyone out there

3:46 watching a huge fan of the80s like I am

3:50 I know there are people who are younger

3:52 than I am that love the 80s that weren't

3:54 brought up in the80s in 1985 I would

3:57 have been 11 years old old I was born in

4:00 1974 I'll be 41 years old in August so I

4:04 was 10 probably 11-ish depending on when

4:08 in 1985 it was give or take actually I

4:11 might be it might have been 11 the

4:12 entire year of 1985 do the math for me

4:16 August 1974 August 10th 1974 was my

4:19 birthday so in 1985 did I spend my

4:22 entire 11-year old childhood in 1985

4:26 that is a conundrum that while I'm

4:28 talking to you I cannot thank coherently

4:30 to actually do the math so please help

4:32 me out with those facts and figures

4:34 anyway 11 years old

4:37 1985 Back to the Future came out The

4:39 Goonies came out about

4:42 150 gazillion other movies that are

4:45 classic

4:46 1985 out of all the

4:49 years in the80s actually influenced my

4:52 life more than any other year in my

4:55 childhood and my adult life so if I had

4:59 to pick my Favorite Year probably from

5:02 the day I was born until now and

5:04 probably until the day I actually die

5:07 1985 will be and always will be my

5:10 favorite year I was 11 years old my mind

5:13 was just being molded and actually

5:15 influenced by the world and things that

5:17 I enjoyed I saw Back to the Future for

5:20 the first time on VHS my family used to

5:24 rent VCRs yes rent VCRs from a video

5:27 store and we would rent Back to the

5:29 Future once a month for the weekend I

5:31 saw Back to Future 18 gazillion times

5:33 now I'm using a lot of mathematical

5:35 terms and the word gazillion is a

5:37 factual number if you look that up

5:39 especially in my mind Back to the Future

5:42 was a huge part of 1985 as well as

5:45 Mountain Dew which I have been on this

5:48 water diet I have not drank a Mountain

5:49 Dew in way over 50 days I'm well

5:51 approaching my 60-day cleans of drinking

5:55 Mountain Dew but I love Mountain Dew I

5:58 love the the taste of Mountain Dew is my

6:00 all-time favorite soda I first drank

6:02 that in 1985 my good friend Justin Paul

6:05 came over to my house and said you

6:07 should come over to my house and hangout

6:08 so we went back to his Homestead went

6:10 into his cabinet area of the kitchen

6:14 there was a fridge and next to it was

6:16 this walk-in closet cabinet area and he

6:18 opened the door and we walked in and

6:21 there were 12pack cases of this glorious

6:25 green canned goodness known as Mountain

6:28 Dew and he said just try this just try

6:31 it just try this Mountain Dew and I said

6:35 all right I gave in to the peer pressure

6:38 that's about as much peer pressure as

6:39 I've ever given to in my life I've never

6:41 actually given it to any other major

6:43 types of peer pressure so I guess if

6:44 Mountain Dew is the worst peer pressure

6:46 that you actually succumb to then you're

6:48 actually doing super super good so

6:52 Mountain Dew 1985 Justin pul convinced

6:54 me that I should love Mountain Dew and

6:57 from there I been watch back to the

6:59 future I also saw around that same year

7:02 I believe Empire Strikes Back came out

7:04 in the movie theater actually it may

7:06 have been Return of the Jedi correct me

7:08 on that if I am wrong I went with him as

7:11 well to see that so Star Wars came into

7:14 my life I did not see the very first

7:15 Star Wars film in the theater in 1977 I

7:18 was born in 74 I did not go as a

7:20 three-year-old child to see Star Wars

7:24 the very first pre it being called the

7:26 New Hope in the theater but I did see

7:29 the second movie and the third movie

7:31 actually I saw the third movie in the

7:33 movie theater what year was Return of

7:36 the Jedi because that is the one I saw

7:38 in the movie theater was that around

7:40 1985 as well so the 80s really came into

7:45 my existence I started listening to

7:47 music for the first time in the 1980s a

7:50 lot of bands from the 80s I still listen

7:52 to I still have a lot of the 80s CDs in

7:56 my car 80s nights are very popular still

7:58 to this day and all those songs that you

8:00 hear in 80s clubs that you go dance to

8:04 you can actually find in my CD player in

8:07 my van so the80s even though it is the

8:10 year 2015 are a very prevalent part of

8:15 my life I love the 80s I am stuck in the

8:18 80s some would say and even though I am

8:21 almost 41 years old and two months three

8:24 months see June July a two months from

8:27 now August 10th

8:29 I will actually be 41 years old but in

8:32 my mind I am still that 11-year-old

8:35 child especially in my heart what I like

8:38 what I am passionate about a lot of my

8:40 friends and acquaintances and people I

8:41 know always kind of not make fun of me

8:44 but they are amused by the fact that I

8:46 would rather watch a80s movie even an

8:49 80s movie that is not actually very good

8:52 The Goonies and back the future are

8:54 excellent 80s movies but there are a lot

8:56 of ' 80s movies which really are not

8:58 very well made and not great movies and

9:01 I would rather watch those 50 times in a

9:04 row than having my arm Twisted to watch

9:07 a new film very interesting how your

9:10 mind works and how you relate to older

9:13 things just like to bring it back to the

9:15 beginning of the Vlog some people relate

9:17 to older

9:19 cars and some people like me relate to

9:22 older movies like the'80s and older
