0:10 special guest mr. Ken Domecq how's it

0:15 Canada - Lewin is in town and boy are my
0:19 arms tired
0:25 secret menu are you familiar with that
0:25 we're not gonna get every item on the
0:28 secret menu because there's about 50
0:30 different variances but we're gonna get
0:32 five or six of the key points sound good
0:34 sounds great let's go inside

0:43 wow you can get all these items at each
0:45 and every location I chose this one in
0:47 particular because pretty neat
0:49 architecture and there's a very large
0:51 seating area off to the right this is
0:54 located in Marina del Rey California
0:57 when you go through the drive-through or
0:59 indoors this is the menu you normally
1:02 see with just a few options just the
1:04 basic necessities most people assume
1:08 this is all they offer but what we're
1:11 getting today none of it is specifically
1:14 on this menu board this is their secret
1:17 items they're totally what kind of sorta
1:22 secrets just to show how popular this
1:25 place is the line is stretching
1:26 completely out the door but because I
1:29 had to wait so long they they gave me
1:31 some stickers here nice not just the
1:33 traditional but also the other stickers
1:37 these are all little stickers okay the
1:39 tiny sticker all right did you get a
1:41 sticker Ken I hope one of those is from
1:43 people this here is for you I just I
1:44 just wanted to I just wanted to make you
1:46 jealous there for a moment it's like a
1:48 little coloring area yeah I know it's
1:50 for these stickers so you can put all
1:51 your stickers on there like mostly okay
1:54 nice eh I wouldn't ever would I realize
1:56 that
1:58 but you make me realize stuff like this
1:59 because your videos observe things when
2:02 I like videotaping stuff I'll be like oh
2:03 look at this then you know that there's
2:05 the crack and the thing where the guy's
2:06 foot was in that movie and it's society
2:08 but a little detail this is what we're
2:13 dealing with there are quite a few items
2:16 here you see over in this tray our
2:20 animal style fries which is basically
2:22 just cheese Thousand Island dressing and
2:25 some onions not a typical onions what
2:28 type of onions are those those this look
2:29 like grilled onions and then chopped up
2:32 really small and somebody also said
2:34 something about pickles but I'm not sure
2:36 if there's 100% pickles in that urn if
2:37 there are they're way way down and
2:39 they're very small
2:40 this is called a Flying Dutchman which
2:43 is there's no bread on it it's just
2:45 basically I'm gonna grab this sure not
2:48 gonna be shy is basically just two
2:50 pieces of meat with the cheese inside of
2:53 it two orders that food reviewers that's
2:57 people like and occasionally me I don't
3:00 do a lot of food reviews but this is a
3:01 special occasion cuz you know like
3:03 what's weird I want to work in and out
3:04 secret mini you have to this has no meat
3:06 on it this is just a cheeseburger right
3:10 it's not like but they call it a grilled
3:11 cheese oh it's called a yeah a grilled
3:12 cheese sandwich and I've heard that when
3:14 you bite into this you can almost taste
3:17 like a regular burger like fools you
3:19 into thinking there's meat in there so
3:20 quite because they're just the way it's
3:22 all conforming interested in checking
3:24 that out well then this here is called
3:27 protein style because there is there's
3:30 meat in there but there is no bread it's
3:32 wrapped not in buns but it led us and
3:35 you see it got the goodness of the
3:36 onions and tomatoes out in there and
3:39 then to get our fill of beef you want to
3:42 explain what this is Ken this is just
3:44 the three by three so it's three patties
3:46 and three cheese it looks like two
3:49 tomatoes onion lettuce and I like pretty
3:53 much everything on these burgers except
3:55 pickles but I always take at least one
3:57 bite too
3:58 he's anybody who says you don't like
4:00 pickles like sometimes they taste good
4:02 on things some of those ago sometimes
4:04 they don't play it so that's it out of
4:06 the 50 different variances these are the
4:08 key items so we got one two three four
4:11 five things there are two drinks we're
4:13 gonna order afterwards but we didn't
4:15 want them to melt so we're gonna get
4:16 those after we feed our faces and we're
4:19 gonna wash it down with with the special
4:21 beverages well for now we got water just
4:24 complete and stuff down so we got the
4:25 water for the meal that Cheers one more
4:27 times do wait to say it together okay so

4:31 should we do a hearty in and out one two
4:33 three party in its hearty Union yes one
4:37 two three hearty in and outs that went
4:40 well just to get this one out of the way
4:42 just in case we want to we don't want to
4:44 go from like this super amazing burger
4:46 to possibly just a veggie burger
4:48 save this for life yes this will be
4:49 laughs so let's let's just like pull
4:51 this out of the bag it's funny how they
4:52 wrap it twice I guess it's just part of
4:54 the process I don't know exactly what
4:56 the process is but we'll try and open
4:58 this up somehow oh look at that me
5:00 unwrap it like it's like a Christmas
5:01 brother Christmas presents 365 days a
5:04 year
5:04 all right so we get that done it's
5:06 pretty windy your wife just slice it
5:08 down the middle yeah sorry for the
5:10 fingers we'll go in at the same time the
5:13 grilled cheese oh yeah get down deep
5:15 down in there my tomatoes falling out
5:16 there that now I have heard that when
5:18 you bite into this the flavors of it
5:20 will convince you that it's
5:23 non-vegetarian right let's give it a
5:25 shot
5:33 kind of which and cheese is the cheese
5:33 in the sauce the cheese the sauce and
5:34 then the bun the bun hins is toasted
5:38 especially when you get deep down in
5:40 there it almost tastes like a perfect
5:43 you know right like get in an out burger
5:45 so maybe the secret of in-and-out is not
5:48 the burgers
5:49 maybe it's the bun and the sauce and
5:51 everything that's on it I've actually
5:52 been told that by restaurant owners it's
5:55 all about the bun so the difference
5:57 between Wendy's McDonald's ah it's all
5:59 about gonna carve into the flying
6:00 dutchman app and give it a little a
6:03 little give it a little slice here
6:06 this is gonna be the exact polar
6:08 opposite of what we just ate cheese in
6:12 there mmm with the meat so we're gonna
6:14 get we're gonna get some meat to make up
6:16 for the non meat that we have second ago
6:18 okay thank you sir coming at you tastes
6:27 like salty
6:29 meatloaf with some cheese enough oh you
6:34 really taste more sodium in that when
6:37 them when that's not in a burger well
6:40 there's all the other things I didn't
6:42 realize how much I missed this from the
6:44 original until man that's why you like
6:46 them so much the result is out there
6:50 making a little bit of a mess but it's
6:51 all all fun and games when it comes to
6:53 eating these are animal style fries
6:56 let's just dig them had these in like
6:59 four years
7:00 no it's been too long yeah it's been too
7:03 long I wasn't keen on them the first
7:05 time I reviewed them but I'm hoping I
7:08 can be so the seizure it is you have to
7:11 make sure you have some of that gooey
7:12 goodness on the fry grab your side and
7:15 pull it's like a wishbone pull I need
7:17 some alone I need some of this I grab
7:20 the right spot look at that
7:31 I said I'd rather just have the fries
7:31 this batch of fries is extra crunch here
7:33 than normal yeah oh you can ask for us
7:35 another secret menu item there there are
7:37 some variances to the fried we're a
7:38 light fries actually extra crispy over
7:41 cooking whatever the country might have
7:43 gave us the extra crispy I prefer for me
7:46 personally the fries it in and out are
7:49 weaker than the burgers that's just my
7:50 personal opinion that the burgers are
7:52 way amazing right and the fries are not
7:55 quite as epic that's why I have to coat
7:58 them with the cheese and all the
8:00 additional you know burger and chop it
8:06 up and put it on top of it I think yes
8:09 actually find out yourself right but
8:11 people do that they call it something
8:12 else that should be the animal style
8:15 because if you put a Chavez burger on
8:17 top of here that's animal on there
8:19 there's no animal in potatoes you call
8:21 that the slaughterhouse this is kinda
8:23 like a Flying Dutchman with fully loaded
8:26 and fully loaded Flying Dutchmen with no
8:29 bun but instead of wrapping your hand
8:30 around bread you're wrapping it around
8:33 lettuce and that's a lot of lettuce so
8:35 let us cut that let it cut it and share
8:38 it
8:38 it's one big chunk of look is that gonna
8:41 be possible but that's uh that's like a
8:43 half a head of lettuce look at the size
8:45 of that look down it's crazy it almost
8:48 looks like Audrey - from Audrey - Audrey
8:52 - from Little Shop of Horrors feed me
8:55 Seymour except we're gonna mark he's
8:57 gonna be feeding us whoa

9:22 place that is bad everything is edible

9:43 away but it all still kind of tastes the
9:46 same yes in its own bizarre fashion I

9:58 they do sell a 4x4 and you were saying
10:01 they have a 5x5 well you can go as high
10:03 as you want if they just won't build it
10:05 in there though they'll give you the
10:08 patties in a box on the side and then
10:10 you have to jam it in there yourself 3x3
10:13 will pretty much see I know you don't
10:14 anything more than a 2x2 really even
10:17 cutting this thing and yeah half is
10:19 gonna be very difficult my gosh it's
10:21 even gonna be cut abour I should have
10:23 just ripped it apart like an animal I
10:24 don't even think I can they won't cut it

10:30 I'm gonna go for just do it right now
10:31 I'm I'm gonna I kind of less wild your

11:00 like heaven oh yes it is yeah I love the
11:00 secret menu as much as I love the
11:01 regular man that's good because there's
11:03 two more trays of food coming out I'm
11:09 really glad you took the big piece oh

11:18 half regular and then half veggie style
11:21 here you go yeah so it's half healthy
11:24 with three patties of beef and three
11:27 slices of cheese just for my heart we're
11:30 getting our calorie content out here on
11:32 this property did the one tell you
11:43 I look forward to this every year on
11:43 this restyling market one is fine
11:46 two is good see people in Los Angeles
11:50 they take in and out for granted what is
11:52 in and out to the rest of the world what
11:55 is their feelings people people go crazy
11:57 for this place well when you come to the
11:58 west coast something one of the things
12:00 you look forward every single time I've
12:02 been here I've been here four times now
12:04 and every time I've come here I've been
12:07 trying it out take a champion you forget
12:11 mmm good fries step one is done and
12:15 throw the trash out and then head back
12:17 indoors and get some some beverages
12:38 oh yes it's happening it's happening oh
12:39 boy okay we have two options we have the
12:43 Neapolitan shake which is vanilla
12:45 chocolate and strawberry all mixed
12:48 together or the root beer float I was
12:51 sharing them choose which one you are
12:53 I've done this so and I've never done
12:55 this I've ever done the root beer never
12:56 done the move I'm going to slide the
12:57 root beer over to you ever so gently and
13:00 I will take the Neapolitan I'm gonna try
13:02 to take the lid off just to see how they
13:04 squirt it down the size or never what do
13:07 they do just do they mix it in at all or
13:11 woohoo it's like a whole conglomerate
13:13 it's like a science project gone bad you
13:17 should probably take the lid off yours
13:18 as well I didn't put the lid back on
13:20 properly this give you heads that one
13:21 full so this is probably nice and this
13:25 is traditional root beer and vanilla ice
13:28 cream that looks lovely
13:30 I love mixed together loads nice pull
13:33 the state put the protective are all on
13:36 there which do the cheers again well get
13:40 it before we do the you said something
13:41 about in and out should do like it's
13:43 like remember like the wou Bundy's we
13:45 should do whoa in and out okay
13:57 no less that's good I don't know mine's
13:57 very thick what kind of root beer there
14:00 use that's a good question and almost
14:03 almost tastes like an A&W Root Beer at
14:06 the moment can you get root beer from
14:08 the fountain inside they made that
14:09 behind the counter but the rest of the
14:12 refills are in the restaurant itself
14:14 oh okay so it's a secret root beer so
14:17 when you order a regular soda you have
14:20 to go get it yourself normally give you
14:22 an empty cup if you prefer you get
14:24 whatever one right but if you want or as
14:26 ass they put the ice cream and they go
14:28 back to where you can't see them and
14:30 then they bring it out there like it's
14:32 fully the NW with soda don't let them
14:35 see
14:41 it's good the first couple sips are more
14:41 root beer cuz it's kind of melting
14:42 quickly I like their shakes normally
14:44 with this one you can't really
14:46 differentiate the taste because they're
14:49 all mishmash together it has it doesn't
14:51 really taste like Neapolitan ice cream

14:53 as I said when I had it tastes like
14:55 Nepal night it does maybe maybe it's
14:57 something mixed together properly maybe
14:58 I really don't know what Neapolitan
14:59 tastes like looks like having two drinks
15:00 in one you have three
15:09 I was so good officially probably gained
15:09 five to seven pounds that I've just
15:10 today now just from sitting here this
15:13 outdoor tables
15:20 it's not something you could do every
15:20 day you can know a whole secret menu
15:21 that's why I said with the shake on a
15:23 daily basis I really like to live a long
15:26 healthy life I really hope they never
15:28 come to Canada not in a bad way because
15:31 I'd be good yeah that's gonna do it for
15:33 today I could think Ken Dominic I will
