A Day On Disney Skyliner & Riding Friendship Boats - Eating At Boardwalk Deli / Out Of The Park Fun
WDW Nov 2025
Transcript
0:02
Welcome everyone. Adam the Woo here. As
0:02
the recording of this, it is Thursday,
0:04
November 6th, 2025. I'm wearing an
0:07
appropriate WDW shirt cuz I'm heading to
0:10
Walt Disney World to ride the Skyliner,
0:12
Friendship Boats, etc. Yesterday, going
0:15
on the Montreal kind of made me think
0:18
about maybe possibly doing some other
0:20
transportation devices from park to
0:21
park, resort to resort at Walt Disney
0:24
World. So, that's what I'm going to do
0:25
today. We'll just see where the day
0:26
leads. I'm inviting you, yes you, to
0:29
join me. It's good to have you here,
0:31
shall you? Current temperature at the
0:34
moment, a little afternoon 12:04 as I'm
0:37
showing the temp in celebration, 77°.
0:40
It's going to get up to 79, a slightly
0:42
overcast, and then it's going to
0:44
decrease down to 78, 76.
0:48
Not incredibly warm, but I wouldn't say
0:50
it's quite cool yet, but it will over
0:53
the next couple days. cuz the
0:54
temperature is going to dip down just a
0:56
little bit. Look at Monday and Tuesday.
0:58
Oh, that's a beautiful thing. That's a
1:01
beautiful thing. I leave the country in
1:03
a couple weeks from right now, give or
1:05
take a day. So, from now till then, a
1:08
lot of theme park stuff, a lot of
1:09
Central Florida stuff, a lot of
1:11
celebration stuff, and hopefully some
1:12
cool weather. Pulling up to the parking
1:14
area at Disney's Hollywood Studios. They
1:16
got these little little tiny speed
1:18
grates. Epcot has huge speed humps.
1:24
speed bumps, but here they just have
1:26
little teeny tiny speed grates. I guess
1:28
people try not to go as fast at Studios
1:30
as they do at Epcot. Liking this
1:33
overcast day.
1:35
So, I'm going to pop in. I got a
1:36
reservation, so I got to scan into
1:38
Studios, grab a coffee, maybe check out
1:40
the now demolished archway from my
1:43
youth. Have not seen it since it's been
1:45
removed, which is kind of sad. And then
1:47
I'll grab the Skyliner out. Small cones.
1:51
Very small cones. They were small cones,
1:54
big cones, big cones.
1:58
Large cones, big cones. Small cones,
2:00
large cones. Big cones, small cones,
2:03
large cones. Pulling in the parking
2:04
area.
2:07
parked not too far from the front. So,
2:09
going to opt
2:10
>> to not get on the parking tram.
2:24
>> Birds are squawking.
2:24
Other birds are chirping.
2:33
>> I just had a side note thought I was
2:33
driving over here.
2:36
how fast time goes. Time goes so fast
2:39
and you look back on changes and things
2:41
not only in your life but through the
2:43
terrain and places that you go and
2:45
things like that.
2:47
>> I am I really like doing daily videos
2:50
just as a good template to look back on
2:52
like a little video diary as I've stated
3:03
the es and flows of daily life.
3:03
Yeah, there was a long time there were
3:04
no trams running through here for a
3:06
couple years and now they're back and
3:08
it's all normal.
3:13
One day I'll go back and watch all those
3:13
old videos and no tram or you could just
3:15
walk across here and no one would yell
3:16
at you. But now you can't because it's a
3:18
tram crossing. And the transportation
3:20
device I'm about to get on shortly, the
3:23
Skyliner, that was just such a
3:25
commonplace thing that everyone knows
3:26
about. But when those pillars went in,
3:29
those big stansions wedged in the ground
3:31
and everyone was thinking, "What is that
3:32
going to be?" They were testing it.
3:34
Everyone had their opinions and thoughts
3:36
and whether it was going to be
3:37
successful or not. And the time before
3:39
they were even there, now they're there
3:42
and it's just a common thing.
3:45
Progress in time is an interesting
3:48
interesting thing. And it'll be fun to
3:50
look back on one day when I'm sitting
3:52
around when I'm an old man watching
3:54
these videos back. Assuming I make it
3:56
that long. And if I don't, at least
3:57
they'll be on for others to others to
3:59
watch. This is the trash can right here.
4:02
That's the trash can sticker. Ah, all
4:04
the Christmas decorations are in full
4:06
effect down Hollywood Boulevard. And
4:08
down Hollywood Boulevard, I'm going to
4:09
stop inside the trolley car cafe where
4:12
today is the first official day of the
4:15
holiday new holiday season. And I'm
4:17
going to get the new holiday drink. All
4:18
right. Peppermint mocha latte with no
4:21
whip achieved. This is the first day
4:22
that they've had this for the season, so
4:24
figured I'd grab it. It is a bizarre
4:26
feeling knowing that the archway was
4:28
there for countless decades. All my
4:31
memories at the studios, the arch was
4:33
there leading over into the animation
4:35
courtyard and this whole area and then
4:38
eventually became launch bay and all
4:39
that. All that's closed up. Little
4:40
Mermaid Show just reopened. But
4:42
everything else over in the animation
4:43
courtyard is going to be completely
4:45
changed. And I will say getting rid of
4:47
the arch is definitely going to open up
4:49
the area and have a lot more room, but
4:51
it's just kind of weird seeing it
4:52
without all that. Also, Hollywood
4:54
Studios has really gone all in on their
4:57
retro style Christmas decor, which is
5:00
really nice to see. And this is not the
5:02
best interpretation and visual showing
5:04
of it because at it looks a lot better
5:06
at night. If you're over if you know
5:08
under the shroud of nightfall, it's much
5:11
better. But I'm sure at some point I'll
5:12
see it after dark with all the neon lit
5:15
up and all that. But for now, cutting
5:17
over outside of the park and going to
5:20
head over to the Skyliner station, which
5:22
is kind of cut this way through the
5:24
parking lot and back over and going to
5:26
get on the Skyliner now. All right.
5:28
Curious which one I'm going to get.
5:31
There's a Moana one right over there.
5:33
Nemo one right here.
5:41
Watch yourself.
5:41
>> And I am grateful to have my own pod.
5:44
Sometimes when it's really busy, you
5:46
have to share with a group or a family
5:47
or someone else.
5:52
Just cruising along here. Oh, there's
5:53
like a truck pulling through here. It's
5:55
a tow truck or something pulling down
5:57
here. You take a look right down there.
5:59
>> Ladies and gentlemen,
6:00
>> hello. Parking lot. Not too congested.
6:03
Not too busy of a day in there.
6:07
Oh, it feels so good. The vents open
6:10
right there. The nice little breeze
6:11
rolling through here.
6:13
I'm liking it. This is the way to spend
6:16
the day. No wait times. This is a ride
6:19
of its own.
6:21
>> A nice way to travel. I love the look of
6:23
the Montreal. Obviously, I'm a big
6:24
Montreal guy. love seeing it being on
6:28
the Montreal
6:30
isn't as smooth and as elegantly
6:34
fluid as the Skyliner. I think I prefer
6:37
riding on an empty Skyliner than I do on
6:40
the Montreal. I like seeing the Montreal
6:42
from the ground, but riding it
6:44
Skylliner. Also, I do not know if I will
6:46
get one of the peppermint mocha lattes
6:48
again. That was strong, very pepperminty
6:51
flavor. I went with the standard how
6:54
amount of pumps when you just say give
6:55
me the peppermint mocha latte without
6:57
whip. That's what I got. The peppermint
6:59
was so overbearing. I don't know if I'll
7:01
get it again. Skylliner station not too
7:04
incredibly busy right now.
7:07
Got Art of Animation Pop Century. I'll
7:10
go this way. I haven't been over to Pop
7:12
Century and Art of Animation via the
7:13
Skyliner in quite a while. I'm going to
7:16
guess judging by this line, I will have
7:18
my own pod. Also 291's got my name on
7:21
it. Well, not really, but it's a figure
7:23
of speech.
7:31
It's not going to be the clearest view
7:31
out the window cuz it does have a
7:33
animation wrap around it.
7:36
But going across the lake, the lagoon
7:38
here,
7:40
pop century and arc of animation on
7:42
either side running parallel. I think
7:45
this is called Hourglass Lake.
7:48
It's been a while since I I flew over it
7:51
on the gondilas, but yeah.
8:03
Rolling into the station. Oh, come in
8:03
and hop. Very abrupt.
8:07
I made it.
8:09
Made it to Pop Century.
8:12
Just confirmed with the cast member this
8:14
is in fact Hourglass Lake. Pretty
8:23
cool. I love how they just kind of I
8:23
don't say they skim across the water,
8:24
but they're pretty low to the water.
8:36
I love these things. They're so cool.
8:36
Such a nice addition to WDW. I wish
8:39
they'd add more to other resorts and
8:40
other parks
8:43
on the Walt Disney World property. And
8:45
they might. Who knows?
8:48
Nice batch of lily pads down there. I
8:50
think it's nice about these particular
8:51
hotels, I've stayed at both of them a
8:53
number of times a few years ago, is it
8:56
has perfect access to the Skyliner,
8:58
which can get you right over to Epcot,
8:59
right over to Studios. These are the
9:01
perfect value resorts to stay at if
9:03
you're going to either one of those two
9:04
parks in my opinion. Perfect. It's a
9:06
Skyliner access. It's just so nice to
9:09
pop into Studios and pop into Epcot
9:11
Center.
9:17
Now, if you're trying to go to Animal
9:18
Kingdom
9:19
or Magic Kingdom, that's a little bit
9:21
different scenario, but you can always
9:23
take a bus if you don't have a rental
9:25
car going under the sea.
9:33
The theming over here, the at these are
9:33
really great, too. Love the theming all
9:35
through here.
9:37
The fish
9:39
up on the side of the buildings. Check
9:42
out Dory up there. And Crush right here,
9:44
the turtle. Massive.
9:48
Massive. Crush and Dory in comparison.
9:52
You see people walking underneath.
9:54
That's the size. Big turtle right there.
9:58
The Dory.
10:04
I always like this area over here where
10:04
they have the cars area. Radiator
10:07
Springs. They have Radiator Springs
10:09
billboard there. A happy place with a
10:11
sheriff car out front. Cozy Cone Cafe,
10:15
Ornament Valley, Radiator Springside,
10:19
all the different cast of characters
10:22
from the Cars franchise. Love cars,
10:24
especially the first one. Love the whole
10:27
Route 66 thing. Have you ever done Route
10:29
66, which next year Route 66 celebrates
10:32
its 100th anniversary? 100 years of
10:35
Route 66. And that is basically the
10:37
basis of the movie Cars. Now, the
10:40
freeway,
10:41
you know, the interstate, I should say,
10:43
came came along and originally kind of
10:45
destroyed 66, but now it's thriving, not
10:49
based on the movie Cars, but just in
10:51
general, well, thriving to a degree
10:53
where, you know, people who
10:56
are really into Americana and history
10:58
and all that are really embracing it.
11:01
And at some point next year in 26, I'm
11:05
going to be doing a at least a month on
11:07
Route 66. That's my goal for the 100th
11:10
anniversary of 66. I'm looking forward
11:12
to it. So, it's kind of nice to kind of
11:15
wet my whistle, if you will, by walking
11:17
through this little section right here
11:18
and seeing all the car stuff. Love it.
11:22
It's kind of like a our own version of
11:25
Cars Land here on the East Coast.
11:29
All right, off up and over,
11:34
Hourglass Lake.
11:40
Head over to
11:40
Skyliner Station. Get off this one. Get
11:43
on another one. Go to Riviera.
11:44
>> Welcome aboard Skyliner.
11:48
>> Birds
11:54
like birds. An infestation of birds
11:54
directly below me. And these weeds right
11:57
here. Look
12:17
It's a nice relaxing day. Feels good
12:18
with the breeze coming through here.
12:19
Feels so good.
12:21
Cannot state that enough.
12:25
pulling into the station.
12:28
>> All right, over here at the Skyliner
12:29
station, the lines are so backed up of
12:32
people wanting to go to Epcot
12:34
that I'm pretty sure I would probably
12:36
share a gondola with five or six or
12:39
seven other people. So, I am just going
12:41
to walk the half mile to the Riviera
12:46
instead of being in a full full gondola.
12:49
And I haven't strolled
12:51
to the Caribbean Beach Resort in a
12:53
while. So that's what I'm going to do.
12:56
It's not that far.
12:58
Nice little stroll through Caribbean
12:59
Caribbean Beach Resort.
13:27
I see the Skyliner going over right up
13:27
above there.
13:38
This is one thing nice about living
13:38
close to WDW.
13:40
You just pop over.
13:43
You wanted to utilize that hammock, you
13:44
could.
13:45
You want to sit right here on the beach,
13:47
you could. And there's that little
13:49
island over there.
13:52
Little vestibules
13:57
you could sit at. Or if you just want to
13:57
ride the Skyliner around all day or the
13:59
Montreal or the Friendship Boats,
14:14
>> I think the addition of the Skyliner has
14:14
really been helpful. not only to me, but
14:15
I'm sure to others as well to really
14:18
understand the layout of the land and
14:20
how some of the resorts are placed
14:24
in correlation to the others because you
14:25
get a bird's eye perspective. Obviously,
14:28
now you can go on satellite view and
14:29
Google Earth and all that stuff. But
14:32
back in the day, you really didn't
14:33
really understand the layout of some of
14:35
these resorts. At least I didn't. And
14:38
once you're once you're like up in the
14:40
Skyliner, you're like, "Oh, that's where
14:42
that is. All
15:05
right. You're going to jump in this
15:05
platform here
15:12
and head to Epcot.
15:12
And then from Epcot,
15:15
which launches from right over there,
15:26
I'll take a friendship boat back to
15:26
Studios.
16:06
>> How are you? Just one.
16:06
>> Going to Yes. Thank you.
16:26
Thank you. Oh man, I lucked out. Look at
16:26
this.
16:29
All right. All right.
16:37
last Skyliner station which goes from
16:37
there to here and then over to Epcot
16:39
doesn't deboard. I mean there was like
16:42
200 people in line so they were stuffing
16:44
those things full but evidently
16:47
they leave an occasional one open for
16:49
those who are getting on here at
16:51
Riviera. Little hack,
16:55
little ride alone hack.
16:59
I equate riding in one of these with a
17:01
group of people kind of like being in an
17:03
elevator for an extended amount of time.
17:06
So that's kind of the
17:08
the vibe you'll have. It's interesting
17:10
from this angle also. So World Showcase
17:13
is I don't know maybe 4 or 500 yd that
17:16
way and you see how much space there is
17:19
behind the pavilions around World
17:21
Showcase the countries over here to this
17:24
road that the Skyliner runs parallel to.
17:27
There's a lot of empty space, parking
17:29
area, storage area that they could move
17:32
World Showcase back and build build more
17:35
behind it, but it's just a lot of empty
17:37
space and you don't really notice until
17:40
you're up here in the Skyliner right
17:41
over there, World Showcase. But there's
17:43
a massive massive gap of like a quarter
17:46
of a mile.
17:49
Not exact, but close. Lot of space.
17:51
There's Swan and Dolphin over there.
17:53
Boardwalk. See a little bit more of that
17:55
on the friendship boats. Going back to
17:57
studios
17:59
going by both of those. Wedged in
18:02
between both of those buildings.
18:15
>> There's the Eiffel Tower, but it's
18:15
silhouetted out there with the scrim
18:17
around.
18:18
>> You are planning World Showcase today.
18:21
Be a good time to practice.
18:32
Good old trusty Skyliner. Well, trusty
18:32
until there's a storm or if the wind's
18:34
blowing really hard and there's
18:36
lightning, but other than that, pretty
18:38
trusty.
18:39
Doesn't work well in the wind. It
18:40
usually shuts down in the storms and
18:43
there's a lot of those in Florida. So,
18:45
that happens. You got to find another
18:47
mode of transportation like a bus.
19:00
I don't even know if I'm going to pop in
19:00
World Showcase. In fact, I'm not. I'll
19:04
take the Friendship Six from this point,
19:07
the base of the Skyliner.
19:10
Couple stops, eventually get over to
19:53
I got to be honest, I've never taken the
19:53
friendship boat from this port. I would
19:55
always walk over to the boardwalk, which
19:58
is just over the bridge, just around the
20:00
bridge, not far. And then I would grab
20:02
grab the next stop, but taking it from
20:05
me.
21:47
Please remain seated
21:47
short and watch.
21:49
Once again, welcome to next time
22:07
from the friendship boat. I saw the
22:07
boardwalk deli over here at the
22:09
boardwalk. Well, Boardwalk Deli is
22:12
naturally at the boardwalk and I
22:14
thought, you know what? I'll pop in here
22:16
and maybe get a sandwich of some sort.
22:19
Kind of in the mood for a little little
22:21
deli. They're rolling in the dough. Come
22:24
on in. And these are the items I've
22:26
never eaten in here. Veggie crunch,
22:29
Italian sub, roasted turkey, chicken
22:34
salad wrap,
22:36
meatball sub. Maybe like the one they
22:37
used to have at Rizzo's Studios. RIP ham
22:41
and cheese croissant.
22:43
Okay, these are not like what I was
22:45
thinking like freshly made. These are
22:46
probably already pre-made Italian subs,
22:49
but I might get the Italian. All right,
22:51
grabbed a seat right over here. You
22:53
know, I've never eaten at this deli.
22:54
Comes with some Miss Vicki sea salt
22:56
chips. And this is the sandwich. I put a
22:58
little mustard on it also, but this is
23:00
uh this is what we're dealing [music]
23:01
with. The bread is like a baguette.
23:04
That wasn't bad for a nice little quick
23:06
service sandwich
23:16
>> Kind of remind me of the kind of
23:16
sandwiches I would get from Pa Manger or
23:19
Predanger
23:20
in London.
23:23
It's unparalleled.
23:25
>> There's no better.
23:27
>> I'm going to take this over to the other
23:28
side of this lagoon and then to Studios
23:32
or maybe I'll get off at Swan of
23:33
Dolphin. The options are endless.
23:36
Possibilities
23:38
are endless. I think that's the saying,
23:39
but options are endless also. I mean,
23:42
it's not necessarily one thing that's
23:44
endless.
23:51
>> Turn ready.
23:51
It was
24:19
Here we go.
24:19
Imagine
24:21
today
24:43
for dinner.

while I'm on a little bit of a
28:42
transportation kick.
28:45
I rarely take the tram.
28:48
I think I'm going to take the tram. I'm
28:50
not going that far, but why not take the
28:53
tram, right?
29:05
looking for trans driver up in the burn
29:05
myself here in the very back. We hope
29:07
you guys enjoy your day here at this at
29:08
Disney's Hollywood Studio City. As a
29:11
reminder, the speed limit park is going
29:12
to be 15 miles per hour. That's a slow
29:14
five, not a fast 95. This may be a
29:16
highway, but this may be a parking lot.
29:18
Upon exiting, you can follow those white
29:19
arrows to our one and only exit. And if
29:22
you're having any car trouble or you
29:23
need help finding it, you can come back
29:25
up to the red poles and fly down the
29:26
nearest cast member. We'll do our best
29:27
to further assist you. We're coming up
29:29
on our first stop between Mickey and
29:30
Winnie.
29:42
>> All right, there is that full stop. You
29:42
can pull up on the handle, push down the
29:43
door, lower your head, and watch your
29:45
step. If you're looking for Jesse or
29:47
Bud, that will be our next stop. So, you
29:48
may remain seated again. This is Mickey
29:50
and Minnie. I'm Mickey to the driver's
29:51
right hand side with Minnie to the
29:52
driver's left hand side.
