0:05 welcome everyone Adam the woo here happy
0:05 Tuesday from this Serene beautiful
0:08 Fountain here in the orange circle it is
0:11 a wonderful beautiful Tuesday Morning in
0:15 Southern California and you know this
0:17 Vlog Channel this daily woo channel it's
0:20 always different every day some days I
0:22 go to theme parks some days I go to
0:23 movie locations some days I drive around
0:26 in my van some days I give you pressing
0:29 issues
0:30 that are in my mind and then sometimes
0:35 we just like to sit on a bench and talk
0:39 together and that is what we are going
0:41 to do today we are going to have a
0:43 little we're going to have a nice quiet
0:45 tell me if you know what movie this is
0:46 from perhaps we should have a nice
0:51 quiet
0:52 shat now when I say nice quiet
0:56 that does not mean that I am using
0:59 me profane the profane word that sounds
1:03 like that nor am I talking about William
1:06 Shatner was actually from a movie
1:07 starring Jean Wilder it was not Jee
1:09 Wilder that said that it was a guy the
1:12 way he talked when he said chat we
1:14 should have a nice quiet chat he said
1:16 nice quiet nice quiet shat so let me
1:20 know if you know what movie that is from
1:22 so let's talk about YouTube oh by the
1:24 way before we start talking about
1:25 YouTube I'm drinking a coffee
1:30 I got a different kind of coffee than I
1:31 normally get this coffee is a like a
1:33 Bavarian cream coffee they were out of
1:35 the regular traditional coffee so I said
1:38 heck it let's go with a Bavarian cream
1:43 coffee look at this little guy he's over
1:45 there he's over there looking at the
1:46 squirrels and taking
1:49 photos so cool when you see like kids
1:51 having a good time and how children are
1:53 very excited with the things that really
1:56 are important they say the best things
1:58 in life are free and little children are
2:01 a perfect example of that I get very
2:04 happy which is probably part of the
2:05 reason that I have like kind of like a
2:08 childlike disposition in my heart in my
2:11 mind because I am that way too I get
2:13 very excited about things that a lot of
2:16 adults would not get excited about I can
2:19 look at something that normally somebody
2:21 else will walk by and be like oh that's
2:24 pretty interesting I don't care about
2:25 that I would get overly joyed about that
2:28 like a child would which if you watch
2:30 these Vlogs and the main Channel videos
2:33 you probably know exactly where I am
2:35 coming from and you might actually agree
2:37 with that philosophy and that might have
2:39 been why you started watching these
2:41 videos and actually latched on to this
2:44 whole circle of goodness that we have
2:47 created together you and I this
2:49 friendship that you and I have built up
2:53 together and all that stemmed from
2:55 YouTube and I am very thankful for
2:58 YouTube being in my life because without
3:00 YouTube my life would be completely
3:03 different I worked retail for a very
3:06 very long time for over two over two
3:09 straight decades full-time retail
3:12 working at Walmart Publix I worked at
3:15 Office Max I worked at a feed store I
3:18 worked at a store called wind Dixie now
3:20 all of these are not in every state
3:22 across the USFA or in the other
3:23 countries where everyone is watching
3:25 this video but I'm sure you could
3:27 probably do a quick Google search and
3:29 realize that those are our grocery
3:30 stores and those are all retail type
3:33 establishments not only grocery stores
3:35 but also office supply stores and things
3:37 like that so I did that for 20 years up
3:41 until I was 37 years old I quit my job I
3:44 moved into my van and I started
3:46 traveling around filming weird wacky
3:49 wonderful things across the US OFA and I
3:53 did not think that anyone would ever
3:54 really watch my videos I was doing it
3:56 more of as a diary for myself it's
3:59 sometimes I forget about that when
4:02 people start leaving comments negative
4:05 comments about what I should be doing
4:07 what I should be filming they are not
4:09 happy with this video or that video or
4:11 the video last week or the video in the
4:13 future they are going to be disappointed
4:15 on the topic or the subject or the
4:18 location that I go to and I have to
4:20 remind myself sometimes when I read
4:23 those comments that really they do not
4:25 matter so much because I started this
4:28 whole thing for me I started this whole
4:32 YouTube thing as a way to look back at
4:34 what I have done first with the Adam the
4:37 woo Channel and then now with this the
4:39 daily woo Channel both channels the Adam
4:43 the woo channel is the adventure Channel
4:45 where I take footage I edit it down it's
4:48 a little bit more presentable a little
4:50 bit more I don't want to use the word
4:51 professional because I am not a
4:52 professional at all the most amateur
4:54 filmmaker that ever existed and I'm sure
4:57 a lot of you would agree with me but I
4:59 don't think that really matters I think
5:00 it matters about going out getting off
5:02 the couch going and doing things so I
5:05 started that Adam the woo Channel and
5:07 then I started this the daily woo
5:08 Channel as an unedited more intrical
5:11 part a more intimate part so you can
5:12 actually get to know me a little bit
5:14 better more than what is on that Adam
5:16 the woo Channel quick pause alert I want
5:18 to actually let you know also that you
5:20 don't have to pause this but I'm pausing
5:22 my brain on the Adam the woo Channel I
5:24 actually went out to Disneyland
5:26 yesterday and I filmed all the season of
5:28 the four stuff go to the Adam the woo
5:30 Channel and check out the new season of
5:32 the force opening day Disneyland
5:35 video and also people have also been
5:37 saying you should do more Disney you
5:38 should do less Disney I do not know what
5:40 to do about the Disney conundrum if more
5:42 Disney is good if less Disney is good
5:44 people are very adamant in the comments
5:47 about me not going to Disney so much and
5:49 I understand that because life is about
5:52 experiencing new things and doing new
5:53 things and if you've noticed especially
5:55 here on this daily woo Channel I have
5:57 not done a Disneyland Vlog in quite
5:59 quite some time so I changed it up a
6:01 little bit yesterday and actually went
6:03 and filmed a main Channel video because
6:05 the season of the four stuff is super
6:07 awesome I love Star Wars and I love
6:08 Disney so it was a nice little
6:10 collaboration let's talk about YouTube
6:12 let's talk about what YouTube has become
6:16 and what people's philosophy and mindset
6:20 that are YouTube creators is and how it
6:24 YouTube has changed a little bit now I
6:26 do not want to say I am one of the
6:28 original YouTubers because I am not most
6:31 of the original YouTubers the guys who
6:33 are very popular the most popular
6:36 vloggers on YouTube started in like 2007
6:40 2008 is I did not start doing videos
6:44 until basically 2011 give or take I did
6:48 do a few videos at the end of 2010 but I
6:50 did not officially start doing YouTube
6:52 quote unquote fulltime until the very
6:56 last month October November and December
6:59 of
7:00 2011 so I guess I am the second wave of
7:04 YouTubers there are a lot of YouTubers
7:06 who have actually started creating
7:08 YouTube content now if you are a YouTube
7:10 Creator you know what I I'm talking
7:12 about a YouTube Creator is someone who
7:14 basically makes videos puts Vlogs out
7:17 there puts content out there no matter
7:18 what it is not everyone does Vlogs not
7:20 everyone talks about their personal life
7:22 not everyone goes to theme parks movie
7:24 locations filming locations in fact that
7:27 is a very small portion of what YouTube
7:29 is is a lot of YouTubers just sit in
7:31 their house or in their room and they
7:33 talk about pertinent subjects or pop
7:35 culture subject or whatever the very
7:39 popular subject matter of today like
7:41 they will search Google they will search
7:43 Facebook news feeds the trending topics
7:45 are Yahoo trending news and they will
7:47 talk about that I don't really do that
7:48 so much I I think I'm in the very small
7:51 portion percentage of actually what
7:54 certain YouTubers do there are not a lot
7:57 of YouTubers who go go to abandoned
8:00 places go to theme parks and go to movie
8:03 locations now that I say that I now have
8:06 to take a step back and actually correct
8:08 myself because since I started doing
8:12 YouTube a few years ago gosh it's been
8:15 almost four to five four to five years
8:18 now since I have started doing that all
8:20 those things that I mentioned that no
8:21 one was doing now more and more people
8:24 are doing them even though they are not
8:26 on the upper echelon and the upper
8:28 percentile of what YouTubers are doing
8:30 there are a lot more people doing those
8:33 subject matters that I just mentioned
8:35 and what is the reason for that the
8:37 reason for that I think is because
8:39 people see someone else doing something
8:41 and they get inspired and I do not think
8:44 that is a negative thing a lot of people
8:46 when they do videos there is a lot of
8:49 competition oh thank you someone is
8:51 honking over there about the competition
8:53 aspects see not all competition is
8:54 negative in fact that guy was honking
8:57 giving competition a thumbs up
8:59 competition is not always a bad thing
9:01 because competition means that you or
9:05 someone else inspired someone else to do
9:08 what you are doing so I encourage
9:11 everyone if they are inclined to grab a
9:14 video camera and put their life out
9:16 there into the world I highly encourage
9:20 you to do that that being said I want to
9:24 talk a little bit
9:25 about how YouTube Works how you can get
9:30 subscribers how people find you and look
9:34 for subject matters and search for
9:36 things on the internet now this is an
9:38 eternal question that everyone who
9:41 creates a YouTube channel wants to know
9:44 I started let me give you a little bit
9:45 of backstory and input basically on how
9:49 I started this Vlog Channel my thought
9:53 process was I am not going to start this
9:56 Channel The Daily Vlog Channel until
9:59 until pardon me one
10:03 second I am not going to start this Vlog
10:05 Channel until my main Channel youtube/
10:07 Adam Theo hit
10:09 10,000 subscribers The reason I had that
10:12 in mind was I figured
10:15 10% of my core audience
10:19 group circle of friends family
10:23 acquaintances that I have not met the
10:25 circle of goodness who support me on the
10:28 Adam the woo Channel 10% my thought
10:31 process was 10% would actually transfer
10:35 over to this the daily woo Channel quick
10:37 pause look at this car look at this
10:39 truck anyone know what year that truck
10:41 is pause it and leave a comment down
10:43 below that truck right there look at
10:45 that thing that Chevrolet what
10:48 year anybody know what year that
10:50 Chevrolet truck was so if you know
10:53 please leave a comment down below what
10:56 were we talking about oh yes this the
10:58 daily wo Channel now this daily woo
11:01 Channel
11:02 content is really a different stem a
11:06 different tier if you will of my main
11:10 Channel videos for example the main
11:13 Channel videos were created not only as
11:16 a diary but they were also created for
11:18 me to go to places that maybe someone
11:22 possibly would actually search on
11:25 YouTube like let's say someone was
11:27 interested in an abandon prison in their
11:30 Hometown they would search the name of
11:33 that abandoned prison and who would be
11:36 showing them that me I would be showing
11:39 them that so my whole philosophy when
11:42 starting videos other than having the
11:44 diary aspect of my life was also to go
11:48 to places that someone would be
11:50 interested in and I want to give that
11:53 tidbit of advice to anyone out there who
11:56 is starting to do videos if you're going
11:59 to start off at the ground level with no
12:03 subscribers with zero
12:04 subscribers and start doing Vlogs it's
12:07 very very tough to get people to watch
12:10 your videos so what I would suggest what
12:13 I would encourage you today is pick a
12:15 topic that people are going to be
12:17 searching for for example if this was my
12:21 very first video If right now my very
12:24 first upload of all time was this video
12:27 sitting on a bench talking basically
12:30 about nothing that anyone would search
12:32 for the only people who are going to
12:35 watch this are people who have already
12:37 subscribed and have a vested interest in
12:41 what I am
12:42 doing but if I had no subscribers then a
12:46 nice quiet chat on this bench with a cup
12:50 of coffee would probably not get a lot
12:52 of views and for a new YouTuber who
12:55 thinks that they would actually start
12:56 doing videos and get very gain a little
12:59 bit of mediocre popularity off of doing
13:02 Vlogs sitting on a bench probably will
13:05 be very discouraged so my advice I'm
13:08 going to give you a little bit of advice
13:10 if you start doing videos try to go to
13:14 places that people are going to search
13:16 try to go to events that people are
13:19 going to search for so that that is
13:22 basically how I kind of started how I
13:26 started to gain a little bit of popul it
13:29 and I hate to use the word popular
13:31 because in the grand scheme of YouTub
13:33 inness I am on the very bottom level of
13:37 YouTube popularity there are people way
13:39 bigger than I am way more popular than I
13:42 am have way more prominent things to say
13:45 I am just a guy who used to live in my
13:47 van and travel around and see wonderful
13:51 things and now I film filming locations
13:53 and theme parks and fly places and do
13:56 things and my life has dramatically
13:59 dramatically changed since those days of
14:01 working at the feed store throwing feed
14:04 and stocking groceries and I am
14:06 eternally completely thankful and humble
14:09 that my life has taken a turn for the
14:13 good for the positive and so many people
14:15 that I have met in my life you guys who
14:18 say hello if I'm out and about at the
14:20 parks or if I'm out and about anywhere
14:22 say hello shake my hand give me a pad on
14:24 the back take a picture with me all that
14:26 means so so much to me you have no idea
14:29 how grateful and thankful I was now the
14:31 topic of this Vlog was going to be about
14:32 how YouTube has changed it kind of like
14:34 has Twisted a little bit to basically
14:38 how I started on YouTube and how
14:39 thankful I am you never know where these
14:41 Vlogs are going to go the original
14:42 subject was going to be about how
14:44 YouTube has changed I guess we could
14:47 probably talk about a little bit about
14:49 that as well when YouTube first started
14:51 or when I first started you during you
14:53 doing YouTube four or five years ago
14:55 like I was saying I am not one of the
14:57 first YouTubers but I am on that second
14:59 wave of YouTubers there weren't a lot of
15:02 people doing abandoned locations which I
15:04 should bring this up as well I do not
15:06 know if I am the first you could
15:08 probably do some Columbo like research
15:10 thought process or skills on your own
15:13 and figure this out there were not a
15:15 whole lot of heck of a lot of people who
15:18 were actually going into abandoned
15:19 places and filming their
15:22 face look back on this I do not want to
15:25 say that I started the whole showing
15:27 your face in an abandoned location but
15:30 there were not a whole lot of people who
15:33 had the ignorance like I had to film
15:37 thems in an abandoned place and I always
15:40 felt that doing a lot of people call
15:43 themselves herb xers or Urban explorers
15:45 I never use that terminology but I guess
15:47 for the sake of argument you could say
15:49 that what I was doing was Urban
15:51 exploring a lot of urban explorers
15:54 around that time kept thems hidden they
15:56 blocked their face they blurred their
15:58 face out
15:59 out of fear of trespass charges and
16:02 Trust Me based on my past in the last
16:06 year I totally understand where they are
16:08 coming from trust me I do not talk about
16:10 these issues out and about do not give
16:13 specifics on it but they were probably
16:16 very wise for not showing their face on
16:19 film going into abandoned buildings
16:21 because I have had some recourses in my
16:23 life that actually stem from that but
16:26 also you got to take the good with the
16:28 bad the bad bad with the good there are
16:30 bad things that happen because of that
16:32 but trust me the good was way more
16:34 because you guys probably never would
16:36 have found me if it were not for those
16:38 abandoned videos as well as the movie
16:40 locations theme parks and the plethora
16:43 of other types of content that I have
16:44 done but back when I started there were
16:47 not a whole lot of people doing that and
16:49 people used to always I used to do like
16:50 podcast interviews people would say why
16:53 do you show your face aren't you scared
16:55 something is going to happen and I
16:58 always always use this terminology have
17:00 you ever heard the term skateboarding is
17:03 not a crime skateboarding years ago was
17:06 very very frowned upon very negative if
17:11 a skateboarder was skating right through
17:13 here a police off this is like 10 15 20
17:16 years ago a police officer would run
17:18 across the road confiscate his board
17:21 give him a hard time because he was
17:24 skateboarding and then the whole thing
17:25 started skateboarding is not a crime
17:27 skateboarding is not a crime he your
17:28 media it became like a slogan for a
17:30 company and now skateboarding is not a
17:34 crime skateboarding is in the mainstream
17:36 and very very popular and when I used to
17:38 do interviews back when I first started
17:40 doing videos on podcast people people
17:42 would ask me questions and I would
17:43 always say that skateboarding the
17:45 skateboarding mentality which is now
17:47 sort of kind of mainstream actually it
17:49 is not kind of mainstream it is full on
17:52 mainstream I think that is what's going
17:54 to happen with exploring with going into
17:56 abandoned buildings and even even though
17:59 I was not 100% factual and correct in
18:02 assuming that I think it is starting to
18:05 trickle to that descent is it I think
18:08 it's actually starting to go that way it
18:11 is becoming very popular very trendy
18:14 very exciting for the general population
18:16 and almost in the mainstream how many
18:19 times do you actually see trending
18:22 articles on the internet on all these
18:26 different social media sites about top
18:28 10 abandoned location top 10 movie
18:30 locations that are abandoned abandoned
18:32 abandoned abandoned abandoned and all of
18:34 these places most of the time the person
18:37 who is filming them or taking a picture
18:40 in them are actually taking a selfie or
18:43 a really cool photo of them standing in
18:45 the spot or doing a vlog like this in an
18:49 abandoned building but back when I
18:51 started doing videos almost every
18:53 comment I got on the videos was always
18:57 you are a fool you are foolish you are
18:59 an idiot you are a imbecile for actually
19:02 showing your face and in some ways they
19:05 were correct because I did get
19:06 repercussions on some locations but few
19:10 and far between do I have does that even
19:12 make any sense few and far between does
19:15 my mind actually think that that was a
19:17 bad idea because it all worked out and
19:19 now everyone is kind of doing that as
19:22 well so a lot of people are going to
19:24 abandoned places and people always say
19:26 go to more abandoned talking to me Adam
19:28 go to more abandoned places we need to
19:30 see more abandoned theme parks we need
19:31 to see more abandoned hospitals we need
19:33 to see more abandoned abandoned
19:34 abandoned abandoned and I'm still doing
19:36 the abandoned videos I have just stepped
19:39 it down a notch because of what I just
19:40 mentioned and also there are a lot of
19:43 friends of mine who do videos as well
19:46 there are a lot of great explorers on
19:50 YouTube that you can actually search
19:53 actually a few of them this is Dan Bell
19:55 you can look him up he is a really good
19:58 Explorer he goes to a lot of like
20:00 abandoned like hotels he has a whole
20:02 hotel series I've been friends with him
20:03 a long time a lot of people think we do
20:05 not know each other but Dan and I
20:07 actually went he actually went with me
20:08 on a lot of video locations and was not
20:11 on the camera and but as before he
20:12 actually started doing his exploring
20:14 videos so look up this is Dan Bell and
20:17 also exploring with Josh is a great
20:20 YouTube channel for urban exploring
20:23 check that one out as well look up
20:25 exploring with Josh and I must say he is
20:28 doing very well he's gaining a lot of
20:30 popularity on YouTube he does some
20:32 really legit locations so go over there
20:34 tell him I sent you as well as in
20:37 Florida some friends of mine the proper
20:39 people are actually really good at
20:42 putting together great videos of
20:44 exploring so those are my three
20:47 abandoned YouTubers that I am friends
20:50 with that I would love for you guys to
20:53 go to check out so if you ever need a a
20:56 fix when it comes to abandoned location
20:59 go over to those YouTube channels and
21:01 watch them they do it way better
21:02 honestly they actually do exploring way
21:07 better than I do or have ever done I do
21:09 it with a little bit more grain of salt
21:11 a little bit more
21:12 comedy which is also another interesting
21:15 thing because when I first started doing
21:16 any videos with any humor people were
21:18 very negative especially when it comes
21:19 to exploring cuz back then no one was
21:21 really doing videos so much of exploring
21:24 there were a few people doing it but it
21:26 was not as popular and now a lot of
21:28 people are doing it and there's actually
21:30 more than that than the three I just
21:31 mentioned those are the first three that
21:33 popped into my head so that's about it
21:36 hope you guys are having a great day
21:38 this video this Vlog was basically I
21:41 don't know you know what if you made it
21:42 to the end of this Vlog hash heckit
21:47 underneath here hash the word heck it if
21:50 you made it to the end of this Vlog was
