0:03 I'm just sitting here watching the
0:03 spinning things go round and
0:06 round I really love to watch them roll
0:09 there a plastic bison right there and
0:12 this steer this LGH horn his horns are
0:16 falling off this guy needs to be hauled
0:17 around on a trailer he getting a little
0:19 plump that would be me if I wouldn't
0:22 have stopped eating barbecue every
0:24 single day and I just noticed this
0:27 little
0:28 corridor of
0:31 skulls and
0:35 horns and look at this guy
0:39 whoa creepy whatever that place was was
0:42 not open yet and I heard something
0:43 rumaging around in there and I had to
0:45 skidadle it's my second channel daily
0:47 Vlog Channel my shirt is very rinking
0:51 this rinking
0:53 wrinkled it's my second channel daily
0:56 Vlog channel it's
0:58 daily ah coffee I'm not sure what Texas
1:01 peacon flavor is but let me give it a
1:08 shot it's a little warm I can kind of
1:08 taste peacon or maybe it's all in my
1:10 mind who knows looks like I got the
1:12 whole road to
1:14 myself I'm not complaining just just
1:17 stating a fact it's just me it's just me
1:21 right now on this road are you guys up
1:24 too e having a little
1:27 breakfast gross stopped off here at the
1:29 the very very tiny community of
1:33 Luckenbach the cemetery only has four
1:36 Graves look at the dates on the ones in
1:38 the back born in
1:40 1822 died in 1880 it is said that one of
1:44 the original residents of town
1:45 constructed an airplane like device
1:48 predating the right Brothers but they
1:50 stole my idea and got all the credit who
1:53 knows if that's true or not the town
1:54 originally started to diminish and
1:57 became a ghost town but current day it
1:59 is used as a predominantly country venue
2:03 and remember no biobs keep those biobs
2:07 out of here members of the Luckenbach
2:09 family and other German immigrants moved
2:11 here from Fredericksburg in the 1850s 11
2:14 mil away they settled along Grape Creek
2:17 and soon established a school for their
2:25 children and there's chickens out
2:25 here and the original post office still
2:28 sitting here
2:30 there appears to be a statue of the one
2:33 and only
2:35 Hondo Al Bundy he love that guy hello
2:44 there I'm getting flashbacks of that
2:44 crazy
2:45 Goose I'm just going to stand still I'm
2:48 just going to stand still pay no
2:50 attention to me pay no attention to me
2:52 please I'm going inside keep your
2:56 distance there's Hondo's Hooch holder
3:00 I don't think that's the hooch holder I
3:02 think that's the hooch holder a very
3:06 good assortment of bumper stickers some
3:08 relics of the past behind the counter
3:10 look at some of those products they
3:12 don't even make half of these anymore
3:15 pretty neat little gift shop and over
3:17 here is the original fire burning stove
3:20 you continue to the rear of the building
3:23 there's a bar outb all along the walls
3:25 are pictures
3:27 of people who have visited did here over
3:31 the
3:32 years currently people are hanging out
3:35 in here just enjoying the
3:38 day that's the way to do it just
3:42 relax just relax and enjoy the
3:45 day could learn learn a thing or two
3:49 from this cat I would imagine many a
3:52 good time have been had back here in
3:56 this area maybe even as recently as last
3:59 night there's a bunch of tents and
4:01 campers on the property this armadillo
4:04 is thinking to himself I don't know how
4:06 to play this stupid thing why did you
4:08 hand it to me I have no idea how to play
4:10 a musical instrument I like the way they
4:12 have repurposed all these old
4:16 buildings keeping them
4:19 going starting to get into a little
4:22 little bit of a hilly country randomly
4:24 turned onto this back road and look over
4:27 here to the left sign that says weener
4:31 dog
4:32 heaven I'm thinking maybe back there
4:34 where those trees have grown up used to
4:36 be a pet
4:39 cemetery that's the best
4:42 explanation I can come up with this is
4:45 the site of the original
4:48 Luckenbach school this is where all the
4:51 kids would do their
4:54 learning right here Herman toer wine was
4:58 the first teacher in 1905 there's also
5:01 this very rundown building next to it
5:03 and some
5:04 stables in the back it's always
5:07 fascinating that one day you could be in
5:09 the midst the
5:12 mecca of traffic and
5:15 people and then a few hours
5:17 later you're in the middle of nowhere no
5:20 one around not even sharing the road
5:23 with
5:27 anyone just just something to think
5:28 about this metal
5:30 Longhorn just chilling there is that a
5:32 longhorn or is that like a a demon
5:36 mule demon mule demon mule a a freaking
5:42 a right boys freaking a right boys we're
5:44 heading into the LBJ State Park
5:47 president Lyndon Baines Johnson says all
5:51 visitors must obtain a permit at the
5:55 headquarters I'm not really sure why you
5:56 need a permit it doesn't cost anything I
5:59 think it's just just so they can give
6:00 you some information and guide maps of
6:02 the property but nonetheless I have
6:04 obtained one in order to get across this
6:06 River at one point there was this very
6:11 bizarre
6:13 pathway that lynon Johnson had created
6:16 where he could drive
6:18 across here's him and Lady Bird Johnson
6:21 the first
6:22 lady I don't know what happened to this
6:25 area I'm not seeing that very
6:28 interesting Bridge
6:30 but man that's cool I want to cross over
6:32 that en Large Marge how come that still
6:35 doesn't exist I think I found it this is
6:38 freaking amazing there is a road created
6:42 with the intention of driving across a
6:47 waterfall it's not in use anymore you
6:49 can't drive across
6:51 it but
6:54 that I want that one day one day if I if
6:59 I ever have a home again I want that
7:02 that's awesome I know I'm getting overly
7:04 excited about that but mindblowing
7:07 what's up fellas did you see back there
7:10 that there is a waterfall that you can
7:12 drive a car well you can't drive a car
7:15 but you could walk or Stampede across
7:18 get a great photo
7:20 op yeah not not interested huh gosh
7:24 Party Poopers he spent a huge portion of
7:27 his life on this property from birth and
7:31 he even learned to read in that school
7:33 at the top of the hill the 36th
7:35 president of the United
7:37 States was born in that house over time
7:39 the house fell into major disrepair even
7:43 when he was alive he had it repurposed
7:45 and restructured to give it the look as
7:48 it did back when he was born that was
7:50 the day Lyon Bain Johnson discovered
7:53 America before the former first lady
7:56 passed away she gave a narration a tour
7:59 and I just realized by listening to that
8:01 that the original house was torn down
8:03 because it was so decrepit and they
8:05 built this one in its place and another
8:08 interesting fact is right across the way
8:11 here over this
8:13 hill is where her and her husband are
8:17 buried the original Cemetery in this
8:19 area is across the river there when one
8:20 of the first members of the Johnson
8:22 family passed away they could not get
8:24 across the water due to flooding so they
8:26 were buried here across the water thus
8:28 starting the son Family Cemetery many
8:31 generations were buried here in fact him
8:33 and ladybird would come out here with
8:34 the children very often to pay their
8:36 respects to the family and is even said
8:38 sometimes late at night he could be seen
8:40 sitting on these walls under these trees
8:43 doing a little contemplating and a
8:44 little thinking I even found an old
8:46 photo where the family was sitting right
8:48 here on top of the wall next to this
8:51 pillar while visiting the
8:54 cemetery that's incredible that is the
8:57 spot of presidency and only a few feet
9:01 from where that photo was taken is where
9:04 his final resting place is in the same
9:07 cemeter a flag has been placed in front
9:09 of his headstone and to the left of him
9:12 is his wife she lived till 2007 a very
9:15 long life he passed away in
9:18 1973 this is the backside the far end of
9:21 the property just so you can get kind of
9:24 a perspective on how big the ranch was
9:28 the tree line off in the distance that's
9:31 the river and the cemetery I was just at
9:33 you'll notice just along that grass
9:36 there is a paved area that is a Runway
9:41 it's where the presidential plane would
9:43 land and take off from and the property
9:45 is still used to this day as a ranch
9:49 they're just Roman free Roman free you
9:53 guys are now currently in the Vlog you
9:56 want to give a shout out to
9:57 anyone you want to give a shout out to
10:00 anyone in the
10:01 Vlog anybody you want to give a shout
10:04 out this building that is now The
10:06 Visitor Center used to be the airplane
10:08 hanger here's an old
10:11 photo of the president in front of that
10:14 same building and speaking of
10:21 airplanes there's his personal one right
10:21 there on board he's holding his beagle
10:24 the Beagle looks either very bored he's
10:27 trying to say this guy look up here very
10:29 surprised at what the Beagle is saying
10:32 it was known as the Air Force
10:35 1/2 get it Air Force 1/2 and I'm not
10:38 making that up either that's what it was
10:40 really called it looks as
10:42 if I'm allowed to go
10:49 inside kind of there's a GL there's a
10:49 wall here you can kind of go inside but
10:52 you can get a good shot through the
10:54 glass imagine being a fly on the
10:57 wall during the administration
11:01 oh the things you would
11:11 learn inside this room are some of the
11:11 automobiles that were used on
11:14 property these were his
11:22 cars oh check it out this is the one in
11:23 the photo of him driving in front of the
11:27 waterfall now that's
11:30 cool I don't know what my infatuation is
11:32 with that waterfall but I love it they
11:34 would gas up at these very fuel pumps
11:37 they call this the Texas White House
11:40 between Washington DC and here a lot of
11:42 the important presidential decisions
11:45 were made some in front of these oak
11:48 trees in the front yard true
12:00 story the shade of the tree in front of
12:00 you often served as a makeshift meeting
12:02 room for Johnson's
12:05 cabinet right there they just put a
12:08 table up and some chairs and lounged Out
12:12 Underneath the shade the president
12:13 shouted the brakes don't work the brakes
12:15 won't hold we're going in we're going
12:18 under the car splashed into the water I
12:21 started to get out just then the car
12:23 leveled and I realized we were in an an
12:26 car the president roared with laughter
12:29 as we put it along the lake then and
12:31 throughout that evening he teased me viy
12:34 did you see what Joe did he said he
12:36 didn't give a damn about his president
12:38 he just wanted to save his own skin and
12:40 get out of the car I'm pretty certain
12:42 the runway isn't used anymore not since
12:46 Air Force 1 half it's a pretty narrow
12:48 road another car was coming my
12:52 direction might be tough to squeeze both
12:57 vehicles on this
13:00 road crossing my fingers if that doesn't
13:04 happen Large
13:06 Marge she takes up a lot of space hello
